After the now Demon Slayers assembled (now 5 of them instead of 4), they were asked to pick their ore for their new Nichiran swords.

Without hesitation, Zoro grabbed an ore that caught his eye.

Tanjiro: Zoro-Kun, how did you pick an ore so fast

Zoro: "I have magic powers just to decide the ore for my sword," he said jestingly.

Tanjiro: Zoro quit lying to me.

Zoro: Fine let's get back before Sakonji-San worries about you.

Tanjiro: Ai

After that Tanjiro and Zoro made their way back to Sakonji's House (quite slowly because Tanjiro was a bit of a cripple) both he and Nezucko rushed over to Tanjiro and gave him a hug, as Zoro stood there watching them hug.

Sakonji: "Oh sorry Zoro I didn't notice you were there, "said wiping away a tear on his neck. I see you've also become a Demon Slayer, come I have plenty of Sake just for this moment.

Zoro: "Ai," said Zoro with a big grin on his face

15 Days Later

For 15 days Tanjiro recovered from his wounds from his fight from the thick neck demon. Meanwhile, Zoro spent his time quite wisely mostly sleeping and hunting game. But on the strick of midnight on the 15th day, a horrible dream afflicted Zoro.

We see Zoro sleeping on a bed next to Nezucko. A gong sounds in the distance as the eye with the scar begins to seep a dark purple. We now enter the mind of Zoro.

There is a calm storm inside Zoro's mind, but then it begins to take shape. There is grass, trees, and a full moon, a person no a girl standing quite close to him.

Kunia: You'll surpass me Zoro, I'm just a girl. As girls grow older we get weaker as men grow stronger and stronger.

Zoro: "Don't say that bullshit," he says rising from the damp grass. "One day either you or me will be the greatest swordsman, so don't make excuses like that."

"Here we'll shake on it," he says putting his hand out.

Kunia gives a little smile and turns to Zoro.

Kunia: "You got yourself a deal," she says shaking Zoro's hand.

Till Were Number 1!

The world then vanishes in the blink of an eye returning to the calm storm. After a while, the world once again begins to take shape. This time the world becomes laid with fences of iron and course dirt below his feet.

There is a young man with a scar on his face and a straw hat.

Zoro: Joining your crew will make me a wanted man. But, remember this Luffy if you ever oppose my ambition to become the world's greatest swordsman, you will fall by my own sword.

Luffy: The worlds greatest swordsman, that's nice the king of the pirates deserves no less than the greatest shishishishi.

But before Zoro could say more, it was taken away from him as once again taken away by the calm storm.

Finally, the storm took him to a white desert with only a table, two chairs, and a person. As Zoro walked closer to the person he saw that it was Kunia, but she looked different. She had a scar on her face and a straw hat on her head.

Zoro sat down in one of the chairs as "Kunia" had a big sip of tea. Once she was done she said...

?Kunia?: I see you finally awoke Zoro-San.

Zoro: Who are you? You aren't Kunia!

?Kunia?: Your right I'm not her, I simply gathered the memories laying most prevalent in your mind.

Zoro: What are you doing in my head?

?Kunia?: Hmm, your not ready for that, you will wake soon.

As she said this a cold force began to pull Zoro away

Zoro: But, who are you!

?Kunia's? eyes then turned red and slinted.

?Kunia?: "You have pestered me long enough mortal begone" as she held out her hand and Zoro was taken away.

Zoro: "Whagha!" said Zoro with a start, he was sweating profusely. "The heck happened," he said as he gets sleepy again and falls asleep.

LATER THAT DAY

A man makes his way through the forest, he has a basket on his head with little wind chimes around the rim. Tanjiro hears the man coming and walks outside to see what is going on.

Tanjiro: Uh

Haganezuka: My name is Haganezuka, I have forged swords for Tanjiro Kamado and Roronoa Zoro, and I am here to deliver them.

Tanjiro: "Oh," says Tanjiro bowing. "Um, i'm Tanjiro Kamado and Roronoa Zoro is inside th...

Haganezuka: This is a Nichirin Sword, and I forged it.

Tanjiro: Um? Please come inside so I can serve you some te-

Haganezuka: The materials for a Nichirin Sword are obtained from the mountain closest to the sun. Scarlet Iron Sand and Scarlet Ore, these produce steel that can absorb sunlight.

Tanjiro: Wow, is that right?

Haganezuka: bathed in sunlight all day long, you see it's because there is never a cloud in the sky.

Zoro: Man Sakonji does he always have to talk like this.

Sakonji: Sadly yes, he never seems to listen to what anyone says.

Zoro: "This is taking too long," said Zoro standing up. "I've heard so much about these color-changing Nichirin Katanas, I need to know what's going on." he says walking out of the door.

Haganezuka: Ah yes you are a child of Brightness arent you? Now that's what I call lucky.

Tanjiro: Oh, no, I'm the so of Tanjuro and Kie.

Haganezuka: That's not what I meant. "See how your hair and eyes are a reddish color?" he says poking his head. "When a kid like you is born into a family that works with fire, it's considered lucky and a cause for celebration."

That means that there is a good chance that this sword over there is going to be red! Right Urokodaki!

Sakonji: Yes

Zoro: "Hey what's taking so long," says Zoro walking out of the front door to see a man with a strange octopi mask. "Eh, are you really the blacksmith you look too funny to be a blacksmith of the Demon Slayers."

Tanjiro: "HOW RUDE!" Tanjiro thought.

Haganezuka: What Did You Say! I'm a respected person among the swordsmith community, and I can tell from your face that people don't like or respect you!

Zoro: Hey that's not true lots of people respect me!

Sakonji walks out the door

Sakonji: "Come quit arguing let's see what color they are." he says bonking Zoro on the head.

Zoro: Ow, fine I guess that's fine, as long as Ocoto Face over there can provide the goods.

Haganezuka: "Grumble, Grumble, Grumble."

A Few Minutes Later

Tanjiro and Zoro now sit opposite of Sakonji and Haganezuka, Tanjiro is the first to draw his sword and see.

Haganezuka: Come on hurry and draw it! I want to see a Bright Crimson Red!

Tanjiro draws the sword and holds it out for a few seconds. But then it changes into a black blade.

Haganezuka: BLACK!

Sakonji: It's black, huh?

Tanjiro: Is that bad or something when it turns black?! Is it unlucky?

Sakonji: Not necessarily, but you don't see this pitch of black too often.

Zoro: From what I've seen at least, is the swordsman with black blades tends to be strong warriors but don't let that get to your head.

Haganezuka was about to lunge at Tanjiro, but then remembered that Zoro still hasn't drawn his sword. So humbly he asks...

Haganezuka: So Zoro-Kun how about you also draw your sword I see great promise in you that you will have a bright red sword, hm.

Zoro: "HEY YOU WERE'NT SAYING THAT EARLIER!" he yelled with exaggerated shark teeth. " Fine, I'll draw your stupid sword, just be quiet."

Haganezuka: Um-hm.

Zoro pulled the katana from its sheath coming out as at first a normal grey sword. But after a few seconds, it turned Reddish-Purple!

Haganezuka: WHAT IS THAT COLOR!?

Sakonji: Hmm Purple huh.

Zoro: Is this a bad color or something.

Haganezuka: "ARE YOU KIDDING IT LOOKS SO COOOL, Aiiiii!" he yelled running up to Zoro giving him a hug.

Zoro: Hey! Get off me Octo Freak!

Haganezuka: Your insults mean nothing I'm glad I walked so far!

Sakonji pulled Haganezuka off Zoro

Haganezuka: Hey what's that for!

Sakonji: You were so focused on how pretty it was you forgot the meaning of the color.

Haganezuka stopped and looked at the color.

Haganezuka: Oh yes I completely forgot.

Zoro: The heck are you talking about?

Sakonji: Zoro-San that sword color or more specifically the purple has not been a color hasn't been seen in almost 500 years. The only "Somewhat" alive person to also have that color is now a demon.

Zoro looks down at his new sword thinking what it could mean but suddenly two birds come through the window. One of the birds steps forward to screech out orders.

HERE ARE YOU'RE ORDERS!

Tanjiro: Oh it talks.

MAKE YOUR WAY TO A TOWN TO THE NORTHWEST!
YOUNG GIRLS HAVE BEEN VANISHING THERE!
NIGHT AFTER NIGHT!
YOUNG GIRLS HAVE BEEN VANISHING!

HUNT DOWN THE DEMON LURKING THERE AND KILL IT!

TANJIRO KAMADO, PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THIS TASK!
THIS IS YOUR FIRST ASSIGNMENT...

Zoro then notices a not on the bird's leg, he pulls the piece of paper to read it.

Zoro-San I know this is your first mission do not cower do not fear you have great potential in this world, Never give up on your dream.

Zoro: "Humph I will, hey Octo Freak can you coat these swords for me with the sunstone stuff you were talking about." he says tossing his 3 swords to Haganezuka

Haganezuka: Yes but it will take a week or two.

Zoro: Fine by me just have them coated when I get back ok.

Haganezuka: Uh sure I guess.

Tanjiro: Come on Zoro-San lets go on our mission!

Zoro: Alright kid, let's do this!

Later down the trail, Zoro and Tanjiro walk 5 miles together when there is a forking path with signs, each leading them to their location.

Zoro: Welp looks like this is where we part ways again Tanjiro.

Tanjiro: "Yea, wish we could fight together for once," said Tanjiro looking a bit down.

Zoro put his hand on his shoulder.

Zoro: We will one day, as long as you live up to that black sword of yours, you and I will fight together till we become great swordsmen!

Tanjiro: "Ai! Thanks Zoro-Kun!" he said walking away from him.

Zoro: "Man, I think that kid's going to go far," he thought as he walked down his own path.
