Kokichi ran through the hall towards the hall closet in the back of the house, Bean running after him. Kaito rubbed his eyes and sat up off the couch, still laying there from movie night.

"GET UP MOMOTA WE'RE DECORATING!!!" Kokichi said, throwing the closet door open.

"What?" Kaito asked.

"We're gonna decorate the house!! Come on! Get up, lazy!" He said. He stood on his toes, trying to grab the box. Kaito watched Kokichi, resting his face on his fist. He chuckled as he watched the boy struggle. Kokichi stuck his tongue out at Kaito, whining softly. "If you're just gonna sit there and do nothing, why dont you get up and help me out!!" Kokichi said, throwing a slipper at the astronaut.

Kaito caught it and laughed, getting off the couch. He walked over to Kokichi and reached over his head. He grabbed the box off of the shelf, nearly dropping it on Kokichi. The purple haired boy yelped and covered his head. Kaito grunted and stepped back, putting the box down. "God what's in this thing? Fucking bricks?" He asked, flexing his now sore hands.

"Just christmas decorations..." Kokichi said, pressing his fingertips together. He shook his head and refocused himself. "Now come on! We need to get a tree!!" Kokichi said.

"Calm down, shorty. Its only..." Kaito took out his phone and checked the time. "...Jesus Christ it's only 6:02. We still need to eat breakfast. Go get dressed. I'll make breakfast and we can look for trees after we eat."

Kokichi pouted and headed into his room, opening his closet and grabbing a red and green sweater. He threw off his clothes from the previous day and put his binder on, putting the sweater on over it. He pulled on a pair of warm black pants and finally came out of his room. He picked up Bean who had been waiting by his door and sat on the dining table. Kaito was in the kitchen making eggs and bacon.

"Ouma come in here and help me. Make some toast," Kaito said as he finished up the bacon. "Eggs wont be long." Kokichi hopped off the table and headed into the kitchen, setting Bean down on the floor. Kokichi pulled out the toaster and the bread and started making toast after washing the cat hair off of his hands. Bean sat patiently by the boys and waited for someone to give him attention.

Kaito finished the eggs and sat by Bean, running a hand over his back. "Hey Bean," he said. Bean purred and rubbed against Kaito's hand.

Kokichi watched the two as he buttered the toast. Setting the now buttered toast on a plate, Kokichi stretched. "Done."

Kaito stood up and brushed the cat hair off of his hands and starts taking the food to the table. Kokichi sets down the toast and sits at the table, pulling his knees up to his chest

"Eat," Kaito tells him, piling food onto his own plate.

"Not hungry," Kokichi replies, lowering his legs so Bean can hop into his lap

Kaito tossed a piece of toast to Kokichi. "Eat."

Kokichi rolled his eyes and nibbled at the piece of toast. He ran a hand over Bean's back and hummed while Kaito played on his phone and ate his breakfast. Out of the corner of his eye, Kokichi noticed outside the window that snow had started to fall from the sky.

The small boy gasped excitedly and smacked Kaito's arm repeatedly. "Look look! Its snowing!!!"

Kaito rubbed his arm and looked out the window. "Oh it is," he says. "Nice," he says.

Kokichi smiled and picked up Bean. He walked over to the window and sat down next to it. Bean tapped at the window with his paw. "We should play in it!!" Kokichi said

"I thought you wanted to get a tree?" Kaito questioned, raising a brow.

"Yeah but I also wanna play in the snow with Bean!!" Kokichi whined.

Kaito groaned. "God you're needy!" He said.

Kokichi grabbed a shoe from off the ground. "Shut it!" He said, raising the show threatening at Kaito.

Bean hopped out of Kokichi's arms and laid on the ground next to him. Kokichi smiled and sat down to pet Bean. Kaito sighed and headed to the kitchen to wash the dishes. "Are you gonna be coming by the dojo today?" Kaito asked

"No," Kokichi tells him.

Kaito was silent for a moment. "Is it because of that guy?" He asked quietly as if there were anyone else in the house to hear him.

Kokichi stared at the wall Kaito was hidden behind and scowled before rolling his eyes. "That guy is just some annoying kid in my class who thinks we're friends cause I talked to him a couple times. I have to help Miu today and Bean needs someone to watch him anyways," Kokichi lied easily.

Kaito was trying to pick apart his tone but couldn't seem to find anything wrong so he shrugged and dried his hands off, turning off the water. "I'll go get changed and we can go and get the tree," Kaito says.

Kokichi nods and smiled, petting Bean. As soon as Kaito closed his door, Kokichi laid back on the floor and placed Bean on his chest. "You won't snitch on me, right buddy?" He asked, scratching behind the small kitten's ear. Bean tilted his small head in confusion and leaned into Kokichi's hand. Kokichi smiled and continued to pet the small kitten.

"God I hate that kid," Kokichi whispered. "Hes such a fucking asshole. I just, he makes me so mad and I...he makes just ARGH!!" Kokichi says. Kokichi let his arms flop to his sides and Bean watched him, flopping down on top of his chest as if he were copying the boy. Kokichi smiled and raised his hand to continue petting Bean. "This is our secret," he hummed to the small kitten. Bean mewed in approval amd touched his nose to Kokichi's as Kaito came out of his room.

"Alright. Let's go," he says.

Kokichi walked around the Christmas tree farm with Kaito, holding Bean close. Kaito buried his face in his scarf and glanced back at Kokichi. "You see anything you like?" He asked. Kokichi looked around and pointed forward to a small-ish tree that was maybe a little taller than the boy. Kaito chuckled. "Awww! Its tiny like you!" He teased, mussing Kokichi's hair.

Kokichi smacked at his hand. "Hey! Rude," he said. Bean pawed at Kaito's hand, imitating Kokichi.

Kaito chuckled and jogged off to find someone who worked at the farm while Kokichi sat on the ground by the tree. Kokichi tucked Bean into the front of his hoodie and smiled. Bean tucked himself into the small space between Kokichi's neck and shoulder. Kokichi listened to the small kitten's breathing as his warmth pressed against Kokichi's neck.

Kaito soon came back with one of the workers and Kokichi glanced up at the two and moved over to the side so they could get the tree.

Kaito and the worker got the tree quickly while Kokichi stayed on the ground with Bean. The small purple haired boy hummed and ran his hand along the small cat's back.

Kaito helped the workers strap the tree onto the roof of his car while Kokichi stood back with Bean, watching the two. Kaito jogged over to the boys after he finished helping the worker.

"C'mon, 'Kichi. Let's get home. It's freezing out here," Kaito said, rubbing his arms.

"I- did you just call me Kichi...?" Kokichi asked.

"Huh? Oh, yeah...Should I not do that??" Kaito asked.

Kokichi looked up at him, then away. "Its fine I guess.." he says. "Now hurry up I wanna go home.

Anyways, next chapter you guys get to meet our favorite grape boys parents!! Isn't that exciting????

You know, originally I was gonna have the guy from the dojo be at the farm and then I was like '...but they might hurt Bean' and decided against it so today you just get wholesome moments with the boys and their cat.
