"Alrighty, folks! Time for the final match of the first round. These four ladies are all from the recently-officiated Reformed Society, so let's give them a warm welcome! Cheetah and Belladonna vs Jessica Albert and Riesz!" Leon announced.
"Well, this wasn't the kind of thing I was expecting us to get involved in, wouldn't you say, Riesz?" Belladonna asked.
"I will admit, I wasn't expecting this, either. It seems like just a week ago that we were enemies." Riesz said.
"When we first saw your true form, I will admit, I was pretty stunned. You pretty much mirrored Barbara in every way." Jessica said.
"Is that so? Well, I don't really show that form often, but I'm still glad that you all spared me back then." Belladonna said.
"So are we. It was one of our best moments." Cheetah said.
"This will be the first time we're facing each other. Well...as allies, of course." Riesz said.
"In that case, let's make it a good one." Belladonna said.
Cheetah sent out Walrein, Belladonna sent out Scolipede, Jessica sent out Mienshao, and Riesz sent out Falinks.
"Both sides ready? Now begin!" the ref said.
"Let's start things off with an Aura Sphere!" Jessica said as Mienshao launched an Aura Sphere at Walrein.
"Follow it up! Close Combat!" Riesz said as Falinks went on the offensive on Walrein.
"My turn… Blizzard!" Cheetah said as Walrein unleashed a mighty Blizzard.
"Don't forget me! Rock Slide!" Belladonna said as Mienshao and Falinks got bombarded with rocks, taking them both out. This prompted Riesz to send out Galarian Rapidash and Jessica to bring out Rhydon.
"Okay, let's start this off right with Psycho Cut!" Riesz said as Rapidash sent a psychic slash at Scolipede.
"Nail them with Stone Edge!" Jessica said.
"Make this last move count… Hydro Pump!" Cheetah said. Both attacks hit, which caused them to knock each other out.
"Now for a dose of Toxic." Belladonna said as Scolipede poisoned Rapidash.
"Down to my last one…" Jessica said as she sent out Aggron.
"Let's go!" Cheetah said as she sent out Claydol.
"I'm not going to let you have the chance to take me out! Psybeam!" Riesz said as Rapidash fired a beam at Scolipede, knocking it out.
"Now, Ice Punch!" Jessica said as Aggron's fist coats in ice as it slugs Claydol.
"Gotcha… Earth Power!" Cheetah said as the ground erupts under Aggron, knocking it out.
"Sorry, Riesz. I'm out." Jessica said.
"And she's about to get a whole heap of trouble." Belladonna said as she sends out Dhelmise. "Shadow Ball!" she said as Dhelmise launches a Shadow Ball at Rapidash, knocking it out.
"Only one left." Riesz said as she sends out Eiscue. "Blizzard!" she said as Eiscue unleashes a Blizzard, knocking out Claydol and Dhelmise. Cheetah sends out Luxray while Belladonna sends out Obstagoon.
"Let's start things out with a Wild Charge!" Cheetah said as Luxray coats in lightning as it rams into Eiscue.
"Surf's up!" Riesz said as Eiscue conjures a wave that washes over everyone, knocking out Luxray.
"Just you and me now." Belladonna said as Obstagoon uses Cross Chop on Eiscue. Eiscue uses Ice Beam, but Obstagoon intercepts with a Night Slash. The two go at it for a while until Eiscue is knocked out.
"Battle is over! Winning team is Cheetah and Belladonna!" the referee announced.
"Not too bad for a first battle, I would say. You were actually really close." Belladonna said.
"Next time, Belladonna." Riesz said with a wink.
"Looks like these two are starting to get along quite well." Cheetah said.
"Yes. It was all thanks to you, you know. We all appreciate what you've done for us, each in our own way." Jessica said.
"So, it doesn't really matter what others say. We know there's more to you than that reputation." Riesz said petting Cheetah.
"Wh-what are you doing?! You can't just…" Cheetah started before she started purring. "...Damn."
"Come on, don't try to hide it." Jessica said.
"Okay, I guess I liked that a little." Cheetah said.
"Anyway, best of luck in the rest of your matches. You might need it." Jessica said.
