After the incident on the highway, news were packed with information regarding the recent terrorist attack, and thankfully, Ishui remained State's secret, but media will soon sniffed it out and till then, only time will tell
Right now, Ishui didn't go to work because he wanted to lay low for a while, recent actions probably made him recognizable one way or another
He e-mailed his manager saying that he was sick and need some time to rest and luckily, the boss knew him pretty well of doing 2 jobs at once, so he allowed it for 3 days off but he need to work double shift when he came in again since Jun will have to go to Osaka because of family matters
Ishui used this free time of his to dabble on his Manga again, with manga supplies that Jun provided he could maybe at least get some inspiration about it
He sat down on his desk and began do couple pages on sketching the characters and the storyline, he was busy with his passion unaware that the door opened revealing P99 with two cups of warm coffee
"Here's your coffee Commander.." She said while putting it on the nightstand next to his other table filled with other stacks of papers
"Ah, just put it there P99, where's M1A1 and MP41?" He asked her without taking his eyes off from his work
"Well they are downstairs, completely on guard, just in case if someone comes, they will alert you" She explained before sipping from her mug
"Huh, I see..." He kept scribbling and sketching, pencils scraping on the paper leaving its trails as it formed the shape of a woman's face, surprisingly, the character had a similar style as P99, complete with a monocle and all. P99 was curious so she walked to him and saw his work
"Wow, Commander is so talented, your drawing almost look so real," P99 said before grabbing other papers and saw other characters that he made, some were labelled as "Usable" with a green post-it note and others labelled as "Unusable" with a red post-it note and "Need redesign" with a blue post-it note.
"Oh I wouldn't call myself talented, I just do what my hands are capable of.." Ishui chuckled lightly before blowing any small bits of erasers and lead powders from the tip of his pencil
"That character you just made, looks a lot like me" P99 leaned closer to his neck to see the drawing in the closer look
"Well, somehow, with the recent incident that we experienced, I don't know why I think...you as an example of a brave and elegant woman...that's suitable for my manga.." he said the words which made P99 blushing beet red, before giving a smile
"Is that what commander think about me" She smiled while twiddling her thumb, earning attention from Ishui who now looked at her also with a blush on his cheeks
"W-well...I-I'm being honest actually..." he said before being cut short by vibration on his phone, he picked it up and revealing that it was from Kryuger
"Hello, Mr Kryuger.." He said
"The escort is all over the news, what the hell happened?" Kryuger asked with a slightly angry tone
"A group of unknown terrorists managed to kill 2 SP personnel and almost got Minister killed, according to the SP officer you sent a group of "False Terrorists" as part of my training, but somehow they arrived first on the scene, fully armed with imported weapons..." Ishui explained the summary of yesterday's events
"On top of that, I lost my bike..." He added
"What happened to it?" Kryuger asked
"Possibly got destroyed on the highway, funny thing is you don't seem to care about those terrorists.." Ishui asked
"Kalina and Helian already tried digging some information regarding this attack, and we could conclude that there's a bounty over your head..." Kryuger explained which made Ishui's jaw dropped to the floor
"I'm on a bounty?! Who's hunting me down?!" Ishui exclaimed in panic
"Two possible things, Other country government wants you for the cube, and, other terrorist wants the cube to be sold to the highest bidder which in the end falls to another country's hands..." Kryuger explained as Ishui just let out a sigh
"How could that happened?! you said you promised me safety!!" Ishui yelled out in anger as he kept pacing back and forth trying to act cool, calm and collective.
"It's possible our research and intel regarding you leaked, or maybe a spy managed to intercept our communications" Kryuger replied with a serious tone
"What should I do..." Ishui hopelessly asked Kryuger for a solution
"Are you at home right now??" He asked which Ishui replied, "Yeah, I got 3 days off from my boss...".
"Good, I'll send you another reinforcement to aid you, T-Dolls of course, but please be mindful that the ones that will aid you will be quite a handful"
"What do you mean by a handful?" Ishui asked before seeing P99 gently tapping her optic node revealing 3 T-Dolls, 1 carrying a machine gun, another one is a rifle and the last carrying an Assault Rifle
"You bringing out the big guns huh?" He asked
The Machine Gun T-Doll had a British look to it, She had green eyes, dark grey long hair and light skin tone, she wore all red dress complete with a red beret with decorative ribbons on her dress, lots of them, she wore dark tights similar to M1A1 and also wearing brown leather high boots. her machine gun had a fixed bipod placed near the end part of the barrel
The rifle T-Doll had red eyes, pale white skin, and long red wine hair was done in a ponytail, she wore a black uniform with yellow stripes on her arm and a yellow square patch on her shoulder, she also wore a white buttoned-up shirt that holds her huge mounds in place complete with a red tie as an addition to her attire, she wore dark grey tights complete with black heels showing her elegant style, but Ishui could look that this T-Doll was a Tsundere
And the last T-Doll was quite interesting for Ishui, not only it almost gave him a nosebleed for the way she dressed but how curious how will she perform in such a minimalistic amount of clothes
the T-Doll had long white hair with a hairpin that had a symbol of a fist, she wore a quite revealing blue dress and her transparent white blouse could be seen, she wore blue thin laced panties and also wearing dark blue tights with boots, she also had a red beret hat complete with Hammer Sickle brooch
"Oh, you're in luck commander, you'll receive Lewis, WA2000 and 9A-91, the three were elite T-Dolls that only do dangerous missions only" P99 explained
"Huh, lucky me I guess, but what's my mission??" Ishui asked Kryuger
"So far, standby until further notice, if there's any threat that's coming, defend yourself along with your T-Dolls..." He said before immediately disconnecting himself from the call
"Guess my home is not home sweet home anymore.." he said while sitting back on his seat looking at his drawing
"Cheer up commander, we as your personal T-Dolls will protect you no matter the cost" P99 assured her commander that there's nothing to be worried about
"I know about that P99, but I was worried about my place, this is the only place that I have, the only place where I can release all my stress and anguish..." He explained before sipping the coffee from his mug again
"Where are your parents?" P99 asked which made Ishui slightly flinched, P99 saw it clearly and wanna retract her statement back
"I-It's okay if you don't want to explain it Commander, I can see th-.." she was cut off by Ishui lifting his hand up before speaking up
"I can tell you about it...but please bear with me..." Ishui begged to her as P99 nodded
"I actually hated my parents...with every inch of my heart and soul.." He said while looking at the family picture where he used to be happy
"The only thing I know about my parents were only for a fact that they worked at a Logistics Company, Maersk Tokyo LLC, specialized in Oil and Chemicals...they have their main HQ in Tokyo and a branch office in Nagoya, and they were super rich, I remember that I actually got my first motorbike when I was just a senior high, I have a bratty little brother who always got more treatment than me whatsoever...heh, in fact my parents seems to love him instead their firstborn child, anyways, long story short, I dropped off from college, they despise me and I was disowned soon after, I escaped from what I call a living hell and stay in this little house of mine, belongs to my late uncle who actually nice towards me.." Ishui sighed before cleared his throat and taking another sip from his coffee
"I'm sorry to hear it..and if you don't mind, there's something else I wanted to ask.." P99 braced herself to ask, and she knew that Ishui know what she'd ask
"If you wanted to ask regarding yesterday at the Cafè, it's quite complicated" Ishui sighed as he could remember every detail of how his ex cheated on him, well not "cheat" but more like "cucked"
"So does it true?" She asked him
"Yes, I tried relationship many times only for all of them got flushed down to the sewers" Ishui covered his face with his palm trying to prevent himself from crying
P99 felt bad so she tried her best to comfort him, she hugged him gently enough to made him stop crying
"Shh, it's okay Commander, no need to dwell on them, they might be not the one for you, there's a lot of good females out there, so you have to get back up and face your eyes straight ahead, never look back okay?"
P99 cringed a bit because it was the best thing that she could come up with
Ishui looked up at her almost breaking down to crying, he then chuckled a little
"That's-..." before he could answer, the door was opened and MP-41 rushed with panic
"Commander! you need to see this!"
she said before rushing downstairs again and this made Ishui and P99 headed immediately downstairs to the living room, he then saw M1A1 and MP-41 standing watching TV regarding a news
"Wait...is that?!"
Ishui didn't even finish his sentences
it was showing a snowy area, possibly Russia, on a small island filled with aircraft and other personal, they were under attack by a colossal metallic tentacle and there were lightning strikes that hitting the vehicles around the base, it slowly turned black and turned into what seems to be drones and they swarmed back into the source
"A Few days ago, Russian's Nagurskoye Airbase located in Alexandra Island was under attack by a mysterious object, it caused mass havoc in the area and the object could be seen grabbing the military pieces of equipment, some even struck by a weird red lightning, the amateur recording shows the last minute of a survivor that managed to escape from the area, until this day, the sender of this video remained anonymous and preferred to not expose its identity-..."
Before the news could even finish, Ishui changed the channel as he sat on a chair
"Commander, are you okay?" M1A1 asked with a nervous tone
"I am fine, just need to think of something...P99, can you patch me Kryuger, I need to pass this information, also does any of you record the news earlier?" he asked
"We T-Dolls equipped with a video module, one of us could extract the information out," MP-41 said while touching the back of her neck and hologram images appearing on her eyes
"Good, P99, contact Kryuger now, I need to tell him this.." he said while grabbing a pencil and a sheet of paper
"Why are you so into this now commander?" P99 returned with the cube and it had a "Connecting" with Kryuger's photo on the bottom
"We might get a lead regarding the object earlier..." he said before a picture of Kryuger appeared on the cube
"What is it, kid? You got something for me?" he asked as Ishui only gave him a smirk
"Have you seen the news Mr Kryuger?" he replies, this made Kryuger intrigued
"You got something?" he asked as Ishui began explaining
Ishui explained the news earlier until the nitty-gritty part where the recorder was still alive, even showing it from MP-41's Video Module in a form of holographic imagery
Kryuger was silent before speaking up towards now the rookie commander
"So you are saying that the thing moved towards Russian owned military airbase and the one that recorded the incident managed to escape from the base and ran somewhere?"
Ishui, with a determination plastered on his face, smirked as Kryuger asked him the question
"Indeed, and if we could find this guy, we could ask some questions regarding the extraterrestrial object"
Kryuger smirked knowing the rookie commander had the sharp intuition, with a calm and collective tone, he spoke up
"Very well kiddo, tell us what you need?"
Ishui thought it for a second, forming a plan inside his head, then spoke up
"I need you to arrange a manhunt, can you track this person's camera? And after that pinpoint his location and possible hiding place..."
"From the looks of the video clip that MP-41 showed earlier, this person was using an outdated camera model, it may take a while to track it down due to the tech condition..."
Kryuger replied with a brief answer before another holographic picture was on display, it was Helian, Kryuger's assistant
"Permission to join the conversation here, sir..." Helian spoke with a monotonous yet serious tone
"Permission granted Helian, you're just in time, our rookie commander was proposing a manhunt for the survivor of the incident in Russia" Kryuger gave a brief explanation towards their topic earlier
"I just saw it and was about to report you regarding the news, anyway, regarding this manhunt, Commander, are you certain that you're going to track this survivor down? Just like you said earlier if this man made it out alive from the accident, the possible owner of the supposed "extraterrestrial" machine will find him first and eradicate him" Helian gave Ishui an option to leave or keep going with the investigation
"With all respect Ma'am... I decided that I'll stick around, We are desperate for some answers...
Doesn't matter if it cost my life for that, at least he could shed some light for us" He sounded determined, he maintained eye contact with two of his superiors, not long after that Kryuger sighed before giving him the warmest smile that never been given from a stern and serious man
"Alright kid, but tracking that man may take some time, meanwhile wait for your new T-Dolls to come and then you'll be set to go" He approved the rookie commander's demands which Ishui gladly responded with a salute
"Thank you, sir, I won't let you down..." With that, the communication ended and the Rubik's cube returned to its original shape, the blue light gently dimmed out signalling the cube had ceased its function temporarily
"So you determined to find this person that bad huh, Commander?" MP41 giggled while sitting in front of him
"I had to do it...if I didn't do it, who else?" He said while putting the cube aside
"We just need to wait for the reinforcements to come," he added more before heading to his fridge
"Anyways, I'm about to make something to eat, want me to cook something for you all too? Ah I should probably make some for our welcoming visitors too" he said while rummaging in the fridge to find some ingredients
The girls were stunned seeing Ishui's sudden change of behaviour, a few minutes ago, he was acting all serious regarding the incident in Russia, now he turned into a friendly person that even cooking them food as if he was their neighbours
P99 smiled and heading to the fridge
"Let me help you then commander!" P99 rushed to the kitchen and helped her commander preparing a warm welcoming feast for the new reinforcements
Ishui cooked a mix of Japanese themed cuisine with a hint of western taste to make them familiar with the food
"Any news regarding our reinforcement?"
He asked his T-Dolls about their new friends that will arrive at his house
"Hmm depending on their roles, Neural Cloud Transfer from the base to this cube is not simple, maybe they will be here by afternoon," MP-41 responded as she was still watching television along with M1A1
"Just in time for dinner then," he said happily as he sauteed some onions, skirt beef, and asparagus
"P99, can you cut the potatoes?" he asked her as he put down the saute pan and began checking the crockpot filled with broth
"Already done it ahead, Commander" she smiled before washing the cut potatoes and then soaked them for a moment with a little salt and water
The other T-Dolls was still fascinated about the fact that their commander could be both a serious person and a laid-back one
Few hours into their cooking session, the cube finally opened up forming the same doorway where MP-41 and M1A1 entered, only this time, instead of the blue hue aura that lit up, it was gold and green coloured, then 3 females walked out from the cube portal carrying their respective weapons
"Lewis Machine Gun reporting for duty, Commander! I hope I can be of good assistance for your cause" The first one introduced herself, A British Machine Gun T-Doll, Lewis
Ishui smiled at the sight of the fine lass in front of him, he bowed a bit before introducing himself
"Greetings Lewis, I'm Ishui Kamakura, I will be your Commander from now on"
Lewis took a step back and then switched to a female in the blue minimalistic outfit and even her panties showing, he tried his best to resist being a slimeball in front of others
"9A-91, modification of AS-VAL, you could say we are siblings, but I prefer not to, hope I can be useful for your cause," she said with a plain and simple monotonic voice
"Greetings, 9A-91, well, I hope to see your other counterpart, welcome to the team" Ishui chuckled nervously which made the next particular T-Doll scoffed
"Great, we are assigned to a pervert..." the Rifle T-Doll glared at Ishui which made him a bit nervous
"Miss WA-chan, isn't that a bit harsh on our new commander?" Lewis tried to calm the Tsundere rifle
"Oh, he is a green? which made it 100 times worse than normal!! I thought we will be assigned to a very skilled commander who didn't see our bodies as a tool for pleasure!" she continues to mock him which made Ishui remembering how he was mocked by his parents for failing his classes
"WA-chan that is a bit too far, enough!" P99 spat in response which earned a huff from the redhead
"Whatever, if he gets us killed or severely injured, I'm blaming him..." She stormed away and waited outside
After that whole ordeal, Ishui just sat on the chair trying to contain his tears
"Did...Did I mess something up? Was it my fault?"
P99 rushed to comfort him by patting his back
"it's okay Commander, you did nothing wrong, WA-chan is...a little bit distrust to everyone at first, because we...umm.." She paused as MP41 added her sentences
"Several of our past commanders only see us as a tool of lust, sure we did combat, but the majority couldn't perform very well thanks to the damage they did, either physical or even psychological, yes you didn't have anything stuck to your ear, we have feelings too..." She joked a bit to lighten up the mood
"I...see..." he sighed
"Don't get it over your head okay? look, Lewis and 9A-91 will talk to her..." MP41 gestured to the two newcomers to convinced the redhead to relax and try to accept him as a commander for a while
Ishui stood up and headed upstairs after he prepared the dinner for all of them
"Commander? are you gonna eat with us?"
Ishui turned around and smiled
"You all go ahead and have fun, I still have work to do..." He walked back to his room and P99 could see the same pattern on his face, that forced smile, a signal of heavy trauma
She wanted to know so she could comfort him but asking him would be the same as digging his own grave and defile his skeleton
Ishui sat on his desk just looking at his work before moving it aside and buried his face in his arms
"Guess I am indeed a failure..." Ishui looked at the picture frame that consists of him and his parents, he felt sad knowing those good ol' days were already passing by and now replaced with hatred
"Wish I didn't pick up the cube and enjoy my life..." He headed to the bathroom that is inside his workroom and grabbed a bottle of pills labelled ''Citalopram''
[Citalopram or Celexa commercially speaking, is a type of SSRI (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) Anti-Depressants]
After consuming two pills and drank a glass of tap water he just laid down on his bed, covering the blinds and hoping everything will come out better tomorrow
P99 sat in the dining room along with her friends as Lewis and 9A-91 still talking with WA to calm down
"WA-san, I know you are very distrustful towards our new commander, but please give him a chance, he was just a teenager who chosen to be the host of the cube..." Lewis tried to convince the redhead who just gave her a cold shoulder
"...I don't want to believe it...Every male commander that led us is the same...apart from our last one...before this stupid project commences" she bit her lip in anger
"Either you give him a chance, or you could walk back to the Neural Bridge and report back to Helian and Persica..." 9A-91 only said that before walking back in which made WA2000 thinking about it then sighed afterwards
"Fine...just this one chance...if he didn't do anything suspicious I might trust him a little, but that doesn't mean I'll get along with him!!" She spat back at 9A-91, Lewis calmed down hearing her decision and returned inside
MP-41 asked the machine gun Doll, "So, how did it go?"
"it went well, she wanted to give him a chance, where is he now?" Lewis asked as she looked around for his whereabouts
"He locked himself in his room, I don't know why but, every time he is in pain...I could see his forced smile..." P99 sighed sadly as she didn't want her commander to do anything rash
"I-I think we should just give him time for a while, h-he'll be okay again!" M1A1 tried to cheer her teammates about the current condition
"M1A1 is right, we have to stay optimistic, let's give commander some space and then we can find this person that saw the Nagurskoye Incident" MP41 replied while sitting next to P99
P99 only could smile seeing her team members understanding the situation after that whole ordeal, so she sat down and gave each T-doll the plates
"Commander and I cooked these, hope you all like it" P99 smiled as the newcomers were excited to try it, Lewis had stars on her eyes, 9A-91 just had a small drool escaping her lips whereas WA2000 just looked down in shame
The T-Dolls ate together as they having small chit-chat regarding their good old days or even how is the base looking now

After they had their dinner, P99 was washing the dishes as the other Dolls continued their chats and some even on a patrol, WA2000 was on the rooftop with 9A-91 who acted as a spotter
P99 was worried because it is already around 8 p.m. and Ishui still hasn't come out from his room, she stopped doing the dishes and walked upstairs and began knocking on the door
"Commander, it's me...can I come in?" She politely asked but no answer was given to her from the inside
She tried turning the knob and it was unlocked surprisingly
She gently opened the door to see Ishui laid down on his bed still closing his eyes with a blanket covering his body, she turned on her night vision module to see a bit clear at dark places because she didn't want to disturb him
her eyes spot something in particular on his desk
"Citalopram?" she scanned it and a couple of seconds later, a piece of information popped up on her HUD display
"Citalopram is an SSRI Anti-Depressants-..." she didn't even finish as she dropped the pill bottle and gasped
"W-Was commander depressed?"
The drop made Ishui jolted up from his sleep with cold sweats on his body
"WHO IS THERE?!!" he looked around frantically before turning on the lights
"P99? what are you doing here? shouldn't you be downstairs having dinner?"
"Dinner has finished 3 hours ago commander, you fell asleep for 3 hours" P99 sat in front of him as Ishui sighed softly
"Anyway...what are you do-..." Before could finish, P99 pulled him to a hug
"P99! what are you-..." and again before he could finish, P99 responded
"It is okay Commander, everything is going to be alright..." With that word, Ishui stopped midway as if he lost his ability to speak before having a small stream of tears flowing from the corner of his eyes
"I hope so P99, I hope so..." He simply replied before breaking the hug and smiled at her
On the next day, Ishui was sitting in the dining room staring at the cube, waiting for new information regarding the incident
then the cube glowed blue and he picked it up immediately
"Ishui here..."
