Chapter 5: Snow in the Kingdom and Snow War

The next morning. Ducky and Tickles were the first ones to wake up. Their whole bodies were covered with snow. They shuck it off before turning to Mama Swimmer who just now woke up.

(Ducky) Mama. Is this snow?

(Tickles) Are we dreaming?

(Mama Swimmer) No dears. I see it too.

And ever Diver, Thunder, and Skippy were shocked to see snow.

(Diver) Snow. In The Great Mushroom Valley Kingdom?

(Skippy) How's that possible?

(Thunder) We should ask Mr. Thicknose about this.

And yet, Spike can see it. He woke up and looked at the snow. He'd never seen anything like it before. So he licked some snow to taste it. It tasted just like water. Spike then grabbed a mouth full and swallowed the snow. But it was so cold that it made Spike shiver. But he still liked it.

(Ducky) Spike. You like the snow? I get it. It tastes just like water

Spike licks Ducky for her comment and there was slobber on his tongue so she got covered and started shivering.

(Ducky) Even when you are covered in water. You might shiver too.

Spike blushes on her comment. At Littlefoot's nesting ground. The gang all woke up together with Peach and Daisy in their winter clothes.

(Luigi) I knew it. I was right. Snow really did cover The Great Mushroom Valley Kingdom.

Littlefoot and his grandparents woke up as well.

(Littlefoot) Whoa. Real snow.

(Grandma Longneck) Have ever seen real snow before dear?

(Grandpa Longneck) No. But I've heard of it. This is what the Far Walkers come to The Great Mushroom Valley Kingdom to escape from.

(Grandma Longneck) And now it has come here too.

(Grandpa Longneck) We need to speak to Mr. Thicknose about this.

1 hour later. Everyone was gathered at the rock circle. Mr. Thicknose was surprised about this.

(Mr. Thicknose) Well...some things are said to happen.

(Topps) Oh yeah? Then why is it happening now. This stuff is horrible. I almost couldn't make it all the way from my nest to here.

(Hallowhorn) He fell right into my nose.

(Cera) I gotta admit it was funny.

(Luigi) See? Real snow. Just like I said.

However, Topps heard what Luigi said.

(Topps) What did you say Luigi?

Luigi hesitated. He didn't want to know what would happen if he told Topps what he saw and that he told Mr. Thicknose about it. But he couldn't hold back and said it anyway.

(Luigi) I saw some snow fall the other night. And I told

(Topps) Told who?

(Luigi) My friends. And the Far Walkers. And...Mr...Thicknose.

What Luigi said got Topps to turn angrily at Mr. Thicknose.

(Topps) You knew this stuff was falling?

(Mr. Thicknose) The boy said something. It just seemed so unlikely.

Now everyone was upset. They couldn't believe that Mr. Thicknose didn't believe what Luigi had told him.

(Topps) We're really disappointed in you. We thought you knew everything.

(Mr. Thicknose) So did I. But I do know that the snow won't last long here.

(Luigi) I don't think so. You all might want to start storing up food before the snow kills it all.

Just then, the Far Walkers came to the rock circle.

(Spike-tail leader) Well, well. It seems you weren't joking after all.

(Luigi) Thank you.

(Spike-tail leader) Well, when the white ground sparkles

(Mario) It's called snow.

(Spike-tail leader) Whatever. When the snow comes, that's when we leave.

(Tippy's mother) We Spike-tails eat more than our fair share. And green food is a lot hard to find under all this snow.

(Mr. Thicknose) No worries. The snow will turn to water by tomorrow.

(Mario) But if not, then now might be a good time to store away some food until spring.

(Kosh) Ha ha. No need to jump ahead Mario. There's a chance that Mr. Thicknose is right.

But, while no one was looking, Ducky, Tickles, and Spike were still mad at the Yokai. Ducky used her hands to make a snowball, Tickles used his tail to make his own while Spike used his tail too even Tippy. Then both of them threw their snow balls onto USApyon's face. Just in time for the rest of the gang to see that and gasp.

(Petrie) Hey. That look fun.

Petrie then made a snowball and tried to throw it but tripped and the snow ball fell on his face. He then tried again and this time he threw it. However, it landed on Topps's face.

(Topps) HEY! Watch it kid.

(Petrie) Me sorry.

Littlefoot ran around the place until he stopped in front of a tree and pulled on some leaves that were covered in snow. Making all of it fall onto Cera.

(Cera) I'll get you for that.

Cera chased Littlefoot around to catch him.

(Mario) Hey. Wait for us.

But then they ended up slipping down the slope and onto the Spike-tail Leader.

(Spike-tail leader) Hey. Watch it.

They smiled at their mistake.

Meanwhile, Ducky, Tickles, Spike, and Tippy were throwing more snow balls that were being made by the Yokai.

(Ducky) Keep them coming guys.

But then they ended up getting hit by many snowballs. They looked up at a tree and there was Petrie with Ana, Ptran, and Pip.

(Petrie) Nice shot Pip.

(Pip) Thank you Petrie.

But Ducky, Tickles, Spike, and Tippy ended up throwing more snowballs at the Flyers and made all of them fall to the ground flat on their backs. But that got them to make snow angels.

As for Topps, he was pushing a big snow ball with his head. And then it rolled down the hill.

(Topps) Hey Longneck. Here it comes.

The snow ball then went up Grandpa Longneck's tail and all the way to his head with a splat.

It seemed that everyone was having a good time. But Mr. Thicknose didn't join in on the fun. He just stood there watching everyone having fun. Just then tickles came in with a snow contract while blowing a snow medieval horn.

(Tickles) I hereby propose that an idea has come to me. We declare a team snow war. Me, Littlefoot and our friends will be on this team called team mushroom. While the yokai will be on the other side called team Yokai.

(USApyon) Okay that's a deal.

(Wario) It's settled then. Let's prepare for a snow war. But first please sign here if you are about to suffer from major injuries, ptsd, or anything else.

The Yokai then signed the snow contract.

(Wario) Thank you. Now build your forts

The two teams built their forts and lucky for them there was a lot of snow for them. The first one was done and it looks like peach's castle.

(Littlefoot) You made our fort look like the castle?

(Mario) Yeah. I pictured it. So their fort is a Watch?

(Jibanyan) It's a Yokai Watch.

(Mario) Well that forts good well we better get going.

Jibanyan shoots a snow arrow at them.

(Jibanyan) Dang it. I missed

Ducky, Tickles, Spike, and Tippy saw they were doing and they were furious.

(Tickles) If that's how you wanna play it? my answer is bring it on!

(Fuu 2) It's your funeral.

Jibanyan builds an army of knights.

(Jibanyan) Hah, you'll never defeat my knights.

(Daisy) Wanna bet?

Daisy built a snow catapult.

(Jibanyan) No no no no no.

Spike eats the catapult rope. The Yokai screams as the sand rocks from their catapult hurl toward him, destroying Jibanyans army. Petrie laughs and blows another horn. The team's army emerges from his castle and charges towards the yokai. They scream again. The team's army starts to ram down the door to their castle. Komasan panics and builds a cannon. The teams army breaks the door

(Jibanyan) Oh hello. And Goodbye.

Jibanyan pulls the cannon's string. The teams army rushes in his castle away from the cannonball

(Mario) Come on.

Mario closes the door to his castle

(Mario) How did ya like them apples?

Cannonball goes over the wall and destroys the army

(Jibanyan) Ha Ha Ha. You'll never defeat our fort. Do you hear us?!

The gang went inside the snow castle and a high tech screen came up.

(Mario) Uh huh... mm hmm. Well put, general! We'll create a surprise military diversion and break through enemy lines. What say you?

Snow constructed general starts to fall apart

(Mario) Yes! Army We ready ourselves immediately! Get the castle on its feet

(All) Yes Sir.

The gang went to battle stations and the snow castle was a giant robot.

(Daisy) How do you like us now?

The Yokai Watch fort was also the same thing.

(Jibanyan) I like you this much. So feel the wrath of our robot.

The snow robots started battling for a while and after an hour the yokai's robot started to feel weak and Spike delivered the final blow with one punch and yokai fell out of the robot and the robot turned back into the castle from the snow pieces. Just then they saw them lying there in shock.

(Peach) Guys. Are you all okay?!

(USApyon) But the question is... Will all of you be?!

USApyon pressed a snow button and snow planes came out and grabbed them and the yokai were on it. Suddenly they slipped out and started falling then they had snow parachutes and they landed safely to the ground.

(Komajiro) Hey. That's fair

(Tickles) All's fair in war my friend slash enemy. Or should I say my frenemy. So let's have some real fun.

Tickles pressed a snow button and the same thing happened so they started flying towards them. And the chase beings.

(USApyon) Oh yeah? Two can play at this game.

USApyon pushed the button and missiles came out and flew straight towards them.

(Mario) Mama Mia. We got missiles coming up ahead.

The gang flew away from the missiles and they followed them and landed straight toward their fort. They all laughed.

(Jibanyan) Oh we are not gonna do this. But you leave us no choice.

They flew straight towards their castle and dropped a bomb and the fort blew up and now they were furious and flew straight towards them. As they laughed they noticed that the others were flying towards them and they all exploded. And they fell straight down onto the floor. Lucky for them it was just like a pillow.

(Mario) Alright. Can we stop with this game? It's getting out of hand.

(Jibanyan) Alright truce?

(Mario) Truce.

Mario and Jibanyan shake hands and walked straight to Ducky, Tickles, Spike & Tippy

(Jibanyan) Hey guys. I'm about what happened we didn't listen to you while we were sleeping so truce?

But they didn't buy it.

(Tickles) I'm sorry. But that's not happening.

Tickles arms a snow gun

(Jibanyan) What's that?

(Tickles) A snow shock rifle

The Yokai run as Tickles shoots in their direction

(USApyon) What are we gonna do?! He's got lasers!

(Jibanyan) Maybe, but we have a laser gun.

USApyon fired his laser gun but missed them and hitted that tree

(USApyon) Whoops.

The Yokai start running again

(Ducky) You think you can outrun us? Well, try to outrun my portal gun. [Makes the wrong snow gun] Darn, missed it. Gotta cycle through again.

Ducky switches to his snow portal gun, then shoots a portal above Jibanyan and another one underneath him, causing him to fall through an infinite loop

(Jibanyan) Guys!

They fight for the gun, sending Jibanyan flying in various directions until he bumps into them

(Komasan) Quick! Our snow fort is only halfway!

(Tickles) It'll look much further after I've used my snow shrink gun.

Tickles shoots, causing the yokai to scream as they shrink. the others then prepares to stomp them, but is interrupted by a confused Petrie

(Petrie) What are you doing?

Cut to reality, where the yokai have not really been shrunken by the snow shrink gun.

(Jibanyan) [High-pitched voice] Ducky, Tickles, and Spike are mad at us of what happened and snow shrunk us with a snow space gun because we were go get to safety. Help us!

(Petrie) Uh. You know you can make your snow weapons right?

(Jibanyan) [Normal voice] Right. We can make any snow weapon we want as well!

They run again.

(Jibanyan) Komasan, quick! make something awesome!

(Komasan) Huh...aha! [Holds up a snow object in the air]

(Jibanyan) What is it?

(Komasan) Ice Cream.

A laser beam shot by Tickles grazes the yokai

(Jibanyan) USApyon. You're gonna need to make something much bigger.

USApyon throws an snow object at Ducky, Tickles, Spike and Tippy, crushing them

(Jibanyan) What was that?

(USApyon) A snow Space Ship.

(Jibanyan) Ouch.

Ducky, Tickles, Spike, and Tippy catches up with The Yokai, who readied their snow guns

(Tickles) No... How did you get the snow flak cannon, the snow railgun, the snow AK-47, and the snow Winchester M1912?

(Jibanyan) The question is: how are you gonna survive them?

The Yokai fire at Ducky, Tickles, Spike, and Tippy in slow motion, "killing" them. They then slowly approach a "dying" Ducky, Tickles, Spike, and Tippy.

(Tickles) Come closer. Closer...

Ducky places something in Jibanyan's hand

(Jibanyan) What is it?

(Ducky) Pin.

(Jibanayn) Pin for what?

(Tickles) Snow grenade.

Tickles holds up an snow grenade; The Yokai attempt to run away, but they are caught in the imaginary explosion. Then Mario came in and walked to Jibanyan

(Mario) Okay. Now Truce?

(Jibanyan) Truce.

They were about to shake hand but there was a snow bomb under them.

(Mario) GET DOWN!

They ran for their lives then it exploded and they landed into their destroyed snow fort. Then the Yokai built snow guns and fired snow bullets at them.

(Petrie) AHH! SNOW BULLETS!

(Mario) We're pinned down man. It's a snow massacre out there.

(Luigi) We're all gonna die. But it's snow which means we're okay and we won't have PTSD but we're gonna die.

Jibanyan there a snow grenade and it land to them

(Mario) Snow Grenade in the hole!

It exploded and their fort was destroyed but it came together again then Mario had an idea.

(Mario) Okay everybody. We need to stop this at once. If it's our lives of snow or anything else we must do it. Let's go

They all charged and snowball missiles were coming toward them; They dodged them but one was heading towards Peach.

(Toad) Princess

Toad got hit with a snowball and toadette came in.

(Toadette) Toad. Are you okay

(Toad) I'm hit. Go on with me.

Then toad pretends to die.

(Toad) Pretty dramatic right?

(Toadette) NOT REALLY!

Then Toadette got hit as well as peach and daisy then the others got hit.

(Luigi) Come on Brother we can make it.

(Mario) No luigi. It looks like we can't make it out in one piece. Please end this so we can get back to what we're doing.

Then Mario and the others pretend to die. While Luigi, Ducky, Tickles, Spike, and Tippy tried to stop them. Then they were surrounded.

(Jibanyan) Don't move. We're winning this thing.

(Luigi) Well think again.

Luigi pressed the button and a plane came with a snow technical nuke attached.

(USApyon) You wouldn't

(Luigi) We would

Luigi pressed the button and it started to fall and petrie came up to the tree and started to imitate the warning

(Petrie) Snow Nuke incoming. 10. 9. 8. 7.

(Jibanyan) Abort mission!

(Petrie) 6. 5. 4.

(Jibanyan) Abort! Abort!

(Petrie) 3. 2. 1.

Then the snow nuke exploded and snow was everywhere then the others saw what happened.

(Specs) I knew they sacrificed their lives for this.

(Headphones) It's very brave of them.

Everyone did a soldier pose and they came out of the snow.

(Mario) Well that was fun while it lasted.

(Luigi) I'm gonna have PTSD from this.

(Mama Flyer) Well, time to head for the nest.

(Littlefoot and Cera) Aw.

(Mario) Well, now might be a good time to start gathering up some food until Spring.

(Mama Flyer) Relax Mario. The snow will melt by tomorrow.

(Mario) Well don't come running to me if the snow kills all the food.

Ducky, Tickles, Spike, and Tippy were on their way back to the nest as well.

(Ducky) Today was fun. Yep, yep, yep.

However, The Yokai was looking at Tippy's mother.

(Mama Swimmer) Guys. If you like to stay another day, that's okay.

The Yokai did want to stay another day. So they went to Tippy's mother who just heard what they were talking about.

(Tippy's mother) Well come one kids. Let's go home.

With that, they went back to rejoin the Far Walkers. Making Ducky, Tickles, and Spike even more mad at them.

Littlefoot and Grandpa Longneck took one last look at the snow before getting ready for bed.

(Littlefoot) I like the snow. Don't you Grandpa?

(Grandpa Longneck) I do Littlefoot.

With that, the 2 went back to the nest and went to sleep.
