"Alex, are you sure you don't want to come drop me and Zeke off at the airport? Even Justin's coming."

"Yeah, hence why I'm not coming with you." Alex has been carrying on this facade of pretending like she's mad at Justin when she feels the complete opposite about him but she doesn't want him finding out about that so she's trying to make it seem like she hates him.

"You're still hung up on that? What has gotten into you? You won't even stay in the same room as Justin for five seconds." Harper wanted to hear a confession. Alex wanted her best friend to leave without worrying about her during her world tour with Mr. Frenchy.

"Fine, I'll tell you. I can't stand him anymore. He drives me crazy. Keeps pretending like he knows everything when he doesn't." Alex sighs, making Harper fully believe that she truly feels this way about her brother.

"Didn't you fight about the exact same thing like a couple years ago?"

"Pfft, no. We fought about how Justin is the try-hard and I'm the Wizard that can do it all without trying."

"Right.." Harper eyes her, knowing her best friend there is definitely trouble brewing and she can smell it a mile away. "I've got my eye on you. I guess this is Goodbye. Who knows when we'll see each other again?" Alex giggles as she shares a hug with Harper.

"You know that I'm a full powered wizard now that can make a Wizard Speed Pass with a flick of my fingers, right?"

"Alex, no. Don't use magic to come visit me, although I would enjoy the occasional visits for when I'm sightseeing in Paris, Tokyo, or Greece."

"Text me, okay? And don't worry about me and Justin. We fight all the time." Alex sends Harper away after a final hug and she pushes her out the door like old times.

She takes a moment to relax and breathe since she was almost discovered by Harper a few minutes ago. Too much fighting, there's a problem, too little fighting means there's something wrong. Why couldn't everyone just accept her and Justin aren't regular siblings? It's clear enough that their relationship is like a seesaw, constantly moving from one extreme to another. Even their parents noticed it. Now that Alex reflects on it, there have been moments in the past where they might have gotten carried away with their "playful banter," as Justin likes to call it.

She has strong feelings for him, it's no longer a puppy crush. Justin already revealed that he saw her as more than a sister. She reacted terribly. If he knew...she wonders if he would have a similar reaction? Suggesting mutual feelings between two individuals is different than two individuals sharing that they have romantic feelings towards each other. If Alex went up to him and just said that she liked him, she's sure he would pop a vein. A really cute vein on his forehead.

Dammit! She cursed in her head.

Cursing is unladylike, Alex. Justin's voice invades her thoughts, making her eyes widen as she looks around the room for any sign of the older male.

Oh please, since when did you care about my femininity? She felt a bitter taste in her mouth after thinking of a long word.

I'm in a car with Harper and Zeke. At this point, thinking about anything but how many buckets are on the wall is better. Alex was surprised he could communicate with her telepathically despite the long distance. Then again, he's a full wizard too.

They wore you out already, huh? Alex made herself comfortable on the couch with a magazine in hand.

Zeke won't stop singing, and he can't sing. Justin sounds annoyed, which somehow brings Alex joy.

Use a spell, mute him.

That's mean. I don't want to mute him. Even though it's a good idea, it's a bad one. Even in his thoughts, Justin is picking on Alex.

There you go again criticizing me. When are you going to stop that? It's so annoying. Alex snapped back, having enough of her brother's teasing.

Wow, you don't talk to me for weeks and that's the first thing you say? Un-fucking-believable, Alex.

Alex was even more surprised that Justin cursed. It was in his head, but she still heard it.

If you knew why I was mad at you in the first place you'd probably be disgusted with me. Alex fans out her magazine, ruffling the pages noisily hoping the sound would reach Justin's ears.

Try me.

I have a crush on you? She can't believe she thought that. While Justin was listening.

Radio silence fills the air in her head. It's quiet, too quiet. Like how the house was after Harper left 20 minutes ago.

Sorry, we went under a tunnel. You were saying? Alex sighs in relief. At least now Justin won't know how she feels.

I just accidentally told you that I have a crush on you but it's all good because you didn't hear me.

"Idiot, why did I just think that?!" Alex screams out loud as her mother makes her way upstairs from the substation.

"Think what, honey?"

"Oh nothing mom, I was just gonna go do some light reading in my room." Alex fakes a smile before rushing upstairs to hole herself up in her room.

While Alex was busy in her room, Justin, Harper, and Zeke were on their way to the airport, and Justin having heard Alex's confession through her thoughts, was speechless. For the first time, he had no witty remarks, no clever comebacks, just a huge blank where his brain is supposed to be.

"Hey buddy, are you okay? You look a little tense." Zeke asks as Justin shakes his head, forcing a smile as he looks at his friend. I'm a freak who is in love with his sister. What did he want him to say?

"I'm fine." His voice went up several octaves, but he passed it off as a voice crack.

As he helped Zeke unload the trunk and close the door, his friend spoke to him out of Harper's earshot.

"Dude, what couldn't you tell me in front of Harper? Come on, I know something's going on with you." Zeke was more clever than Justin would like to give him credit for.

"Nothing, I'm just a little bummed about Juliet. And now you guys are leaving. It's just a lot to take in." Zeke smiles, patting his friend on the back as Justin rolls out the last suitcase for Harper to stack on top of the others in the luggage cart.

"I guess we'll see you later. I'll text." Zeke gives him a man-hug before releasing him.

"I'll call." Justin faces Harper, opening his arms so she could give him a quick hug.

"I know about you and Alex." Justin freezes in place as Harper whispers into his ear.

"What?" He squeaks, hoping Harper isn't talking about the strange whatever it is between them.

"You're fighting. She's mad at you, and you haven't made an effort to talk to her. Whatever it is, make up soon, okay? I don't want to see you two drifting further apart. By the time I get back, I want you two to be the best of friends, got it?"

"Yup. Bye Harper." Justin waves as his friends disappear into the building, leaving him to drive the car back home. He was glad that he decided to take that job at Wiztech, or else he wouldn't be able to afford this thing. He gets paid a lot for running the school, surprisingly. He could almost hear one of the elders at school saying "Of course you get paid a lot, sonny. There's a reason why the wizard world is better than the human world. Teachers get paid what they deserve here." Yet another one of the perks of being a Wizard. Justin is so glad Crumbs decided to make him the Headmaster.

He drove all the way home in silence, deciding to leave Alex alone with her thoughts while he stayed alone with his. There was no way he could march back home and look her in the eye without freaking out. It was too weird. Knowing that Alex returns his feelings...he had just stepped into new territory.

He has no idea how to approach her. Should he act normal around her? It would be weird because he hasn't actually talked to her physically and the family is bound to notice the strange change in an instant. He'll just have to act discreet, and be cautious around his parents.

When Justin walked back into the house, he was stiff. His parents didn't take notice of it, Max was oblivious to his surroundings, and once again Justin felt comfortable again now that he was actually in the house again. When Alex turned around after grabbing milk from the fridge, she laid eyes upon her brother for the first time since they got in their "fight." It looked like a fight to their friends and family, at least.

"Oh cool, Justin and Alex are looking at each other. When was the last time you did that? Four years ago?" Max always has to ruin moments like these with his comments. The kid just can't get a clue.

"Haha, no. For your information it was Alex that decided to stop talking to me. I simply just made it easier for her by returning the same treatment."

Oh would you just stop talking?

Justin shuts his mouth as Alex groans in his brain. He was a blabber. If he was nervous, or made a mistake he was bound to run his mouth for a while. Since Alex has extensive knowledge about his habits after living with him as long as she's been alive, she used it to her advantage, taking Justin to her room and shutting the door with a locking spell.

"So what's up?" Justin opens his mouth first, making Alex groan again as she sits down on her bed, rubbing her temples.

"You're gonna tell them everything. Great. First I find out my brother has a crush on me, then I find out I have a crush on him, and now you're doing that thing where when you get nervous you start talking a lot and telling everyone your secrets," Alex folds her arms as Justin shrugs, sweating profusely as his sister shut the windows. "I'm not letting you leave until you promise not to tell anyone. Whatever happens between us stays between us, got that?" Justin nods, not wanting to let her down one bit. Also if their parents found out, they'd probably be disgusted and outraged.

"I'm not an idiot, Alex. Why do you think I'd rat you out like that to mom and dad? I have a crush too, you know? It's not like I go yelling from rooftop to rooftop saying "I have a crush on Alex Russo!" I have my own skeletons." He adjusts his shirt, pulling it down whenever he feels confident in himself.

"I know you won't. But that's not why I brought you here. I wanted to show you this. I researched the laws they had about incest and this is what I gathered." Justin flips through the pages of the notebook, impressed by how detailed and neat the notes that Alex gathered looked. She gave him all of the information in a very engaging manner, and Justin would be lying if he said she did a sloppy job. Normally, she wings everything. It really looks like she put time and effort into this.

"Alex, this is amazing," He stops at a certain page, his eyes lingering on an article clipping for a bit too long. "I know this woman. She works at Wiztech, she's a gym coach. I never thought she would be...married to her brother." Justin and Alex share a look. They had dipped their toes into something much deeper. If their father lied about incest marriages, it might be much worse than they initially thought. Jerry probably has something to hide, and Alex and Justin were going to figure it out, together.

The next day, the two siblings came downstairs together. It already looked suspicious when Alex pulled Justin aside to talk to him after not speaking to him for nearly a month, but what was weirder was that now, they were smiling and talking to each other like nothing happened. Teresa was happy that for once, her kids were finally getting along again without her interference.

Meanwhile, Jerry was suspicious that Alex and Justin were forming a close bond, of the romantic type. He sensed it the moment they walked into the room together, holding hands. Subtle but bold in what it meant. The Russo kids have unintentionally declared war on their father and Jerry was determined to make sure that Alex and Justin won't take the path that he wanted them to so desperately evade.
