(September 2nd,2015)

The practice was going fine so far. No one was making fun of each other and no one's egos were getting in the way. Until Natsu bumps into a black raven-haired guy during a drill. Natsu stops and reaches down to help him up but his hand is knocked out of the way by the guy. "Watch where you're going," the guy says and gets up on his finishing up the drill.

"Guys huddle in!" The eye-scarred man named Jellal yelled. He was the captain of the team. Everyone rushed into a huddle and got ready for the next drill. " We will be running a 5v5v5 king of the court style. You have the ball and go down one side of the court and try to score the ball. If you score then you go down the other way to score. If you miss, however, the team playing defense on you will get possession and go down the court to try to score. This will keep happening until a team gets a score of 7. Every basket is worth 1 point." Jellal explained. "Now for teams: team 1 Droy, Jet, Gray, me and Elfman, team 2 is Gajeel, Laxus, Freed, Alzack and Nab, lastly team 3 is Loke, Natsu, Romeo, Max, and Mest."

Natsu looked at his team as they got into position and saw he was the only tall one. The golden-haired Loke was the closest to him in height but Natsu didn't know about skill level.

Team 1 started with the ball coming their way. They matched up defensively pretty well except for the mismatch with Elfman and Mest as Elfman towers over him. Natsu was guarding the raven-haired Gray who didn't want his help. Jellal dribbling the ball up passes the ball over to Jet on the wing. Natsu reads that he's going to pass the ball to Elfman as it was obvious. And Jet did throw the pass. So Natsu left his man and went after the ball. He got into the passing lane and stole the ball as it was mid-air. He turned to dribble down full speed down the court. His teammates were following behind but not as fast as him. Natsu saw that Alzack was waiting for him but it wasn't enough as Natsu just blew right by him and went up for a dunk. As he jumped up, another person jumped up to block him. Gajeel had jumped and extended his arm to block Natsu. But Natsu was the better jumper and was higher so Gajeel hit Natsu's face. Natsu was fouled in mid-air but he still was able to get the dunk on Gajeels head. Gajeel fell to the floor while Natsu landed smoothly next to him. " Don't jump with me," Natsu said. Gajeel's eyebrows twitched as Natsu went back down the other way. Gajeel was pissed off that happened. He let pinkie dunk on him. " Gajeel gets him next time." He looked up and saw Laxus helping him up. " Don't worry that won't happen again."

Somewhere else in the school, Lucy was sitting inside the school library and was studying for the next chemistry test she had in school. Her book club had just finished and she had like an hour before Virgo would pick her up. Levy was looking around for some books and was going to ride home with Lucy. Virgo had agreed to drop Levy at her house too. As Lucy flipped through her textbook, she saw a pink atom and that reminded her of her tall pink lab partner. Natsu Dragneel. He was so calm when he was talking to her like there he had no care in the world. Unlike Lucy who had everything to care for the world. She had to make sure her grades were set otherwise her father wouldn't be so happy. She would probably get put into homeschool or sent to a private school and she didn't want that. She didn't want to go to school where she had no friends and they were all snobby and arrogant. She wondered how Natsu's life was and was wondering if he would actually call her. Lucy had no idea why she gave her up to a stranger that she only met and talked to once. Well to be far Natsu was the perfect stranger in Lucy's eyes. He was the perfect height, that salmon/pink hair was very cute on him and his smile was amazing.

"Lucy!" Lucy looked up and saw one of her older friends, Cana Alberona calling her.

Cana was an older friend of Lucy's. They met in middle school and are finally reunited in high school. Lucy gave a big hug to Cana. "Cana! It's so good to see you!" They embraced each other, squeezing hard. "Same here Lucy! It's been a while. How have you been?" Cana asked grinning. She missed Lucy. "I'm fine. How about you? Do you still drink?" Lucy remembered that Cana was always drunk when they would hang out. "Haha, of course, but someone on the basketball team stole my drink today. I'm about to sneak in while they are practicing and get it back. Do you wanna join?" Lucy was hesitant. Virgo could be here any second. Cana saw the hesitation and quickly said " It will probably take like 5 minutes. It's right there." She gave Lucy the biggest puppy eyes and Lucy finally gave in. "Fine but let's hurry."

"Ew, it stinks in here." Lucy's nose twitched at the smell of sweat and musty balls. "Yeah, get used to it," Cana laughed. "Ok, I believe it should be in this locker." Cana started searching in the locker and Lucy heard water drops. It came from around the corner. She slowly peeped and her eyes widened. She couldn't believe that it was so big.

Sorry yall exams been rough but there done now and I can finally write freely. I think I'm just going to focus on this story and I'll finish my other story next. but yeah I'll probably upload the next chapter very soon probably next weekend or that week. But yea ima try to write longer and write everyday now that I don't have to study. Also the play in tournament is tn and the warriors are suprisely winning against the Lakers. I want the warriors too win but anything can happen. who yall rooting for this year.haha alr ima go write see yall soon. oh also hope u like this chapter please give a review ty.
