I do not own any characters or plots that can be recognized from Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series.

This story takes place right after Breaking Dawn, but there was no imprint on Renesmee. All the events remain the same, and after they fought the Volturi the Cullens moved to Canada.

Chapter 5: Family Dinner

Alex's POV:

Overall, it is a lot of effort to be a pop star, take care of my siblings, maintain good grades in school, and maintain my secret, but it is worth it in the end.

'Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!'

My alarm clock screams. I reach over and try to hit it on my bedside table. I want to go back to sleep; the sun is just getting up, but the twins have their first day of school today. They already have to start in the middle of the year, so being late on their first day would not be good. I am just happy to know that they won't be alone since they have each other.

"Wake up Amber, Aiden! You guys start school today!" I yell up the stairs. Five minutes later Aiden stumbles down the stairs in a pair of jeans and a black shirt. I decided to make pancakes for their first day, so he grabs the plate I made for him and sits down at the table. "Is your sister up?" I ask him.

"Yeah, but you know girls. You guys always take forever to get ready." Aiden responds.

"Ok slightly offended, but your right." I respond. "Come on Amber! I made pancakes!"

Amber comes rushing down the stairs. She chose to wear skinny jeans, with a white shirt, and a jacket overtop. All of our clothes, besides the one's I wear on stage, are normal and low cost. The twins don't know about how much money we have, and I just prefer to be a normal, not rich, teenager, so we live normally, buying normal clothes from basic shops.

"You guys ready to go?" I ask.

"Yeah" They both respond with little excitement in their voice.

"I know its school, but you guys have to go, and it could be fun. You can make some friends. We are staying here for the future, so try to make friends."

"Easy for you to say. Your cousins go to your school. You will know someone." Amber responds with sass.

"Yeah me and Amber have no one." Aiden comments.

"That's wrong. You guys have each other. Don't worry it will turn out fine, and you will come home saying how great of day you had."

"Sure" Amber says rolling her eyes.

"Come on grab your backpacks get in the car."

We drive over to the Quileute Elementary School. I take Amber and Aiden into the office. They are both in the same class. Two students come up and take them to their classroom and show them around the school. I leave and decide to head over to the High school to register.

I drive into the parking lot and walk into the office. There is an elderly lady who looks to be Quileute sitting at the front desk. "Hello, I was hoping to register here."

"Ok sweetie. Do you have your past transcripts." she asks.

"Yes, from my school in California." I pull out the transcripts that I decided to bring with me and hand them to her.

She looks at them and types stuff into her computer. "This looks good. I am able to transfer you into all of the same courses here, so we should not have to worry about credit transfer issues since it is mid year. You are welcome to start tomorrow if you would like, if not you can start next week."

"If its not too much, I would love to start tomorrow."

"Of course sweetie. Just come pick up your schedule in the morning tomorrow. We start at 8:00, the same time as the elementary and middle school."

"Ok, Thank you. I will see you tomorrow."

I head back home and work on writing a new song. I want to focus on some good memories with my dad so I start working on a song called Our Memories that I plan to put in my next album. I have half of the songs done for that album so far, and I will head up to Seattle next week to begin recording them. That means I should be able to finish writing and recording the album by the end of next month, and I will probably take a trip down to the studio in California in a few weeks.

I finally finish the song, and it is time to go pick up the twins from school. I pull up in front and they both come walking out together. "How did your day go?"

"It was not too bad. There's this girl that sits next to me in class that is super nice and talked with me." Amber responded.

"I got to play sports with the guys at recess. My team won in soccer, and I scored the winning goal."

"See I told you that you would have fun." I responded. "Oh Uncle Billy wanted to see you after school today and hear how your first day went, so we will head over there after we stop for ice cream."

After stopping to get ice cream as a first-day-of school-treat, I drove us over to Billy's where we were going to eat dinner. When we walked through the door, I could smell food in the kitchen. The twins took their backpacks and started working on their homework on the kitchen table. Jake was doing his homework on the couch with Quil and Embry. I leave them to do their work and walk into the kitchen. "Hey Rach, need help?"

"Sure, you can cut up those potatoes." Rachel responded.

I saw a pile of about 10 potatoes on the counter. I started cutting them. Rachel told me a bit how college was. She switched to online during her senior year so she could stay in La Push. She told me how she started working as a sixth grade teacher at the Quileute school this year. I told her about my old school in Los Angeles. It was nice to talk to Rachel as we cooked since I hadn't gotten to talk to a girl close to my age for almost two weeks.

We finished making dinner and set the table. Quil and Embry, who were doing homework for Jacob, joined us. Rachel said Paul would be here except he was at work which Jacob did not seem too upset that he would not be joining us. The Clearwaters also joined us, except Leah because she was working apparently. This means I got to see Seth again which excited me for some reason. Conversation at the table flowed well. I could tell there was a subject the were avoiding, almost like they had a secret, but I did not want to bring it up because I was keeping a secret too. If I were to demand they tell me or mention they were hiding something it would be hypocritical of me, so I kept my mouth closed. After dinner, Jake and his friends cleaned the table and did the dishes. I sat with my siblings and Seth in the living room. I talked to Seth about various things, much of it the same as what I talked to Rachel about earlier. I mentioned to him that I would be starting at the tribal school tomorrow.

"Really? That's cool. I would be happy to pick you up and give you a tour in the morning." Seth told me.

"Really? Thanks. I drive the twins to school though, so I can just meet you there." I responded.

"Oh no worries, I can drive them too. Its at the same time anyways."

"Ok, then I will see you tomorrow morning. I'm going to go say by to Uncle Billy and then I have to get home so the twins can go to bed."

I said by to Uncle Billy. I made sure the twins got all of there things, and we went home. They went straight up to bed. I took a shower and read through my emails. Apparently I have a concert in Seattle Wednesday night and one in LA on Saturday which I would have to fly in for. I did not expect two concerts in my first week here, but I love performing so I don't mind too much. I will have to see if the twins can stay with Billy over the weekend, and I will need someone to watch them Wednesday night.

I fall asleep, dreaming of a sandy brown wolf with familiar brown eyes.
