Drake looked at the unfamiliar face staring back at him in the mirror. The red hair, pale skin and green eyes are a far cry from the black hair, olive skin and brown orbs. He had picked up the Scottish tourist from a bar in Charlottesville. He's had him sedated in the trunk of his car for almost a week.

Jumping into his body was easy enough. His lineage as a Traveler gave him access to some rare magic at least when he absorbed magic. As a siphoner he didn't have magic of his own so he needed to extract it from an external source. He would've never had know about his lineage if that traveling which didn't pass through their village.

He still remembers the beating he received. Dragomir was declared an unholy abomination even before he was turned. The village shunned him and his father ordered his family to reject him. His mother, Anelia, had objected to this but ultimately fell in line as his younger sister, Nevena, did.

Everyone turned their backs on him.

Everyone except Katerina.

"Duke, Bonnie's here." He heard Katherine's voice from downstairs.

Drying his hands Drake departed from the bathroom. Dropping by his room to pick up the grimoire he took a deep breath. Making his way downstairs he saw Bonnie, Damon, and Katherine sitting around the living room.

"So Scotty what's this grand plan of yours?" Damon asked, "How do you kill the unkillable?"

"Nothing is truly unkillable, nature wouldn't allow such a thing to exist." Duke replied before turning to Bonnie, "First things first." He pulled out a small silver chain necklace and offered it to the Bennet witch.

"What is this?" Bonnie asked taking the necklace in hand.

"An adamantine spirit chain." He answered before opening the grimoire, "It's essential for the spell. It can allow you to harness the energy that's left behind when a witch is killed brutally."

"Me? Duke, I don't have my powers." Bonnie informed.

"No, but the dead witches we're going to channel are your ancestors." He answered gaining a glare from Damon who glanced at Katherine.

Bonnie blinked, "You know where the witches were burned?"

"Of course. I was there." He revealed gaining looks of shock from the three others, "I was on my way to try and prevent their deaths but by the time I got there they had already lit the stakes." He admitted and sighed, "If I had tried anything they would've caught me. Safe to say that the spirits won't exactly be happy to see me again."

"I understand." Bonnie nodded, "But how am I supposed to do this without magic?"

"Put the chain on before you perform the spell. It'll enhance the connection between you and your ancestors." He explained, "It's your magic Bonnie, no one can take that from you. All you have to do is believe in yourself, a little self-confidence goes a long way."

"I'll pass on the field trip." Katherine declared before she threw her jacket over her shoulder, "Let's just say Emily wouldn't want a bestie reunion."

"Where are you going?" Damon demanded.

"To get a bite, care to join me?" She smirked flirtatiously at the vampire before she continued on her way.

"Take a rain check." Duke said, "Knowing Klaus he probably sent someone ahead to assess the situation. We'll need some muscle on our side."

Damon shrugged, "Fine since you witches are so fragile." He smirked before the heat began to spread throughout his entire body, "What the-aaagh!"

"Still think we're fragile?" Duke asked as Damon rolled off the couch writhing in pain.

Suddenly the heat dissipated from his body. Damon quickly dashed towards Duke before his body froze, "I can't move." He groaned.

"Play nice or I'll go for your ring next time." The redhead warned before he smiled at Bonnie, "Remember, confidence." He reminded and the young witch nodded, "It's what was taught to me and it's never failed."

"Who taught you?" Bonnie asked with a curious smile.

A smile crept on his face, "Someone very dear to me."

Arabia, 1537

"It's all about confidence."

Chills ran down Dragomir's spine as Kol's breath ghosted over his ear. The two vampires stood inside their house. The hardened mud hut originally belonged to an elderly couple who were tasty. They've stayed in this lone house for nearly three years now, the longest they've spent together.

Dragomir held a rope in his hands. The two vampires have spent the last three years learning Kamiya, a type of witchcraft native to Arabia. Kol found him in India and quickly bombarded him with the possibility of making a dagger to subdue Klaus. The prospect was far too good to pass up.

Blood-soaked hands trailed down his torso before they rested on his bare hips, "Focus, darling. Breath in and out." He encouraged.

This type of magic always requires two witches to perform even the simplest of spells. Kol believes that since Dragomir can channel a lot more magic than a regular witch he could do it alone.

Dragomir took a deep breath before he began the incantation, "E Loke Gae La lidi."

He repeated the incantation over and over before the rope combusted in flames. Both immortals gasped as the flames died down. Once the last of the embers burned out they saw that the rope once made of fibers was now made of pure gold. The hybrid couldn't believe his eyes before a pair of strong arms lifted him off the ground.

"That was perfect, love!" Kol exclaimed spinning a laughing Dragomir before they fell in their bed.

With a sudden burst of speed and strength, Dragomir flipped them around so that he straddled Kol's hips. He raked his hands up Kol's bare torso and the original smirked before he easily switched their positions once more, "We're one step closer, darling. All we need is a dagger and then we can rid ourselves of Klaus."

"And with our freedom, we can start working making you a hybrid. Like me." His true face flared before he pulled Kol down in a fierce kiss.

Kol growled like an animal, "And then we live happily for eternity." He said before biting into Dragomir's neck and began to drink from him. The hybrid gasped in pleasure before he bit into Kol's neck. The original pulled away, blood soaking his chin and neck, "Imagine, living like this for eternity."

The Petrova smiled Kol leaned down and lesser their temples together, "It's all I've ever wanted."

"And it's so close to becoming real." Kol suddenly grabbed Dragomir by the waist and spun them across the room before slamming him against the wall. Dragomir instinctively wrapped his legs around Kol's hips as the original attacked his neck with kissing and biting, "Having nights like this every night until the end of time." Kol raked his fangs across Dragomir's throat, "Us together like this, always and forever."

"Always and forever." Dragomir gasped before they smashed their lips together in a fierce and bloody kiss.

Duke, Bonnie, and Damon walked into the clearing where the witch house stood. They dropped by the Gilbert house on the way to pick up Jeremy but John had informed them that he had gone out. Without Jeremy, they remained a trio. Drake couldn't care less about the teen tagging along or not it just made it so much easier to get this done.

"What was it like, the day they were burned?" Bonnie asked as they neared the old house.

"Horrible." He answered quickly, "I can still remember the smell of burning flesh and the sounds of their screams. I never felt so powerless." He admits and sighed before he quickly added, "But today I'm going to make it right."

Bonnie smiled as they made it to the doorway. She turned around and smiled at Duke, "You sure you can't get inside?"

"They're still angry at me, I can sense it. Better for everyone if I stay out here." He replied handing her his grimoire, "Damon too."

"What, why?" The vampire demanded.

"Witches, especially the dead kind, aren't exactly the biggest fans of vampires. They could tear you apart if you irritate them." Duke explained, "And something tells me you have a natural talent for that."

Bonnie tried not to laugh before he cleared her throat, "It's fine, I've got this. I'm confident." She nodded before entering the house and the door slammed behind her.

"They really don't like us." Duke muttered and Damon nodded in agreement.

The vampire gave the witch a very suspicious look before he finally decided to ask, "So you and Katherine." He began.

"No, we are not sleeping together, no I am not in love with her, and yes I know all about Klaus." Duke quickly answered.

Damon hummed and nodded, "So what makes you trust that nasty little bitch?"

Duke visibly twitched at the insult, "Katherine is my friend. She's saved my life and I've saved hers. Then again you probably wouldn't know much about friends."

The vampire shrugged, "You'd be surprised."

"You mean that hunter?" He asked, shocking Damon, "Katherine told me about your bestie. He's human, you're a vampire it won't last forever." He smirked as he saw Damon begin to think, "I've heard about you, Damon Salvatore, and you and Katherine are cut from the same cloth."

"Do tell how."

"You're both selfish, impulsive, manipulative, and lonely." The last statement made Damon glare at the witch, "The only difference is Katherine doesn't blame all of her flaws on someone else. Klaus murdered her entire family and hunted her down but she doesn't place all the blame on him. Her choices were hers to make but you put in the facade of a victim when the fact is when you became a vampire every choice you made was your own, not hers."

Damon grabbed Duke by the throat and slammed him against the old wooden wall kf the house, "I can snap your neck like a twig. She did this to me, everything I hate about myself came from her!"

"Is that why you went along with her plans without being compelled?" He smirked as Damon loosened his grip, "Yeah, she told me everything. She had to compel Stefan to not be afraid but she didn't need to do the same for you. You were already the monster you hate being so much, she just allowed it to get out." He pushed Damon off and raised his hand to his throat, "I mean you fought for the Confederacy for god sakes." He added.

"I was drafted."

"Sure, Jan."

Tyler was on the verge of a breakdown as he tied his tie. He's always hated these fancy parties his parents threw. Looking in the mirror he looked at the door to his closet and let out a shaky breath. Hearing the thumping of boots coming up the stairs he quickly finished his tie and dashed for the door.

Silently creaking the door open he looked into the hall and saw Matt approaching. He sighed in relief, "Get in here." He whispered before he hauled Matt into his room, "Are they here?" He asked before turning in his stereo.

"Elena and Stefan are here." Matt answered, "Dude you sounded crazy over text what's happening?"

Tyler tried to find the words to explain before he nodded towards his closet, "You gotta see this."

Matt followed Tyler as the teen walked towards his closet and swung the doors open. The blonde gaped in shock at the sight of Jeremy tied up to a chair with steel chains. Jeremy looked up at them and began to thrash against his restraints. Matt looked at Tyler who looked equally panicked before he slowly closed the doors.

"What the hell?" Matt demanded.

"He knows that I know about Vicki." Tyler answered, "It slipped out and he kept on asking how I knew and who told me. I panicked and-"

"And you kidnapped him." Matt said skeptically, "Drake and Katherine are going to be pissed."

"No, they won't." The werewolf assured, "I took off that bracelet and vervain should be out of his system by now. All they need to do is compel him to forget."

"Well, what are we gonna do we can't leave him up here alone. He gets out and tells everyone else they'll find out about us." Matt asserted.

"Tell me something I don't know." Tyler snapped before he quickly grew quiet, "Caroline is asking around for you. Dude, you have to go before anyone notices something's up. Besides, you have to leave early to look out for Drake's body."

"What about Jeremy?" Matt gestured towards the closed closet.

"I'll handle it. Go." Tyler urged before Matt relented and made his exit. The werewolf sighed before he opened the closet to see Jeremy still struggling against his restraints, "Don't bother. I use those chains when I shift so they can hold you down. Look man I don't want to do this but I can't have you thrashing around up here so. . ." He raised his fist and gave a quick jab to Jeremy's temple, knocking him out.

Damon had just left after receiving a text from Elena. Everything was going according to plan. Through their link, Katherine had informed him of Isobel's plan. Isobel wasn't trustworthy and he made sure to tell Katherine that. After a round of private arguing, they've decided to go along with her plan but not before Drake could get a good look at the Moonstone.

"Thinking about me?" Katherine asked as she appeared in front of him.

"About the plan." He replied, "You do your part?"

"It's done. I got the Moonstone." She smiled triumphantly, "Not only did I trick Isobel into getting Elena for us but I also got the Moonstone. All in one day and what did you do?" She teased.

He gave her a playful glare before he replied, "I got the werewolf and the vampire in the tomb that I resealed, remember?"

"That's yesterday's news." Katherine rolled her eyes, "Oh, and by the way, Tyler messed up and told Jeremy that he knew about Vicki."

Drake felt rage well up in his chest before he took a deep breath, "Has he told the other?"

"No. The werewolf knocked him out and tied him up in his closet." Katherine shrugged, "I'm honestly impressed with him. I couldn't compel him to forget, he still has a little vervain left in his system. You'll have to handle that."

He nodded, "Fine. Other than that it all went along flawlessly. Get back, the spell should be done soon."

"One question." Katherine said, "If we got everything we need, why even bother with Bonnie?"

"This is a very delicate situation, Kat. If everything goes smoothly then we'll get our freedom back but if we take one misstep, one mistake we're going to need as much power as we can muster to fend Klaus off." He explained as Katherine slowly nodded in understanding, "Plan B stands for Bennet."

Suddenly they heard Bonnie's wails coming from the house, "That sounds promising." Katherine remarked before she seemed to freeze, "Matt's saying that a tattoo appeared on your neck."

"The spell's done." He nodded, "See you in a sec." Katherine winked before vanishing, "Time to go back to my beautiful self." He closed his eyes before the body fell to the ground.

Drake's eyes blinked open as he looked around. Katherine and Matt stood against the wall staring down at him. He felt like a stranger in his body when he tried to move. The power of the Bennet witches radiated through his body making it difficult to move.

Katherine was quick to help him up, "You okay?"

"My body is adjusting to the power not to mention I'm stiff from not moving for a couple of days." He explained as Matt held his other arm, "I've never felt so exhilarated." He smiled as he stood up, "So much power."

Katherine smiled before she "You were right about Isobel. I got Tyler scoping out her house and saw a shifty character skulking around. It was a trap."

"By who?" Matt asked.

"Probably one of Klaus' witches." Drake replied before he smirked, "You two ready to see what real power looks like?"

Katherine called Isobel as she walked up the walkway. Looking around she checked for anyone suspicious. She didn't exactly like the thought of being a sacrificial lamb but it had to be done.

Isobel answered, "Are we good to go?" She asked.

Katherine entered the house as she answered, "I'm at your house, but we have to hurry. Damon knows your lodging tricks it will take him all of twenty minutes to find out where you're staying."

"We'll be long gone before that." Isobel replied.

"Good. How far are you?" Katherine asked removing her coat?

"I'm sorry, Katherine. I had to do what I was told. He wanted the Moonstone, and he wanted you." Isobel lamented.

Katherine always hated it when Drake's right, "Klaus." She muttered.

"I'm sorry." Isobel apologized once more before hanging up.

Sensing someone behind her she quickly turned around to find a tall man in all black clothing. She showed her true face, bared her fangs, and dashed towards him. The witch's reflexes allowed him to inflict a pain spell on Katherine causing her to scream in pain.

Suddenly the door swung open and the witch was sent flying across the room. Drake came bursting into the house with a rage-filled glare. He allowed his true face to creep out as the other witch stood up. Drake flashed his fangs and for man wailed in pain. He smirked as he made his way to the man who had fallen to his knees. Raising his arm he gave the man a powerful backhand knocking him against the wall.

With the witch incapacitated Drake dashed to his sister's side. Placing a gentle hand on her temple he closed his eyes and chanted a spell. Katherine gasped as she jolted awake in fear of being captured. Drake quickly gathered her in his arms and soothed her.

"It's ok I'm here." He assured wrapping her in his arms.

Tyler and Matt flooded into the house where they saw the scene. Tyler walked across the room to make sure the witch was down as Matt rushed to the twins' side, "Is she alright?"

"She's fine." Katherine sneered as Drake helped her up, "I can get up on my own." She pulled her arm free before she glared down at her attack, "Who's that?"

"Maddox." Drake answered as he made his way to the unconscious witch, "One of Klaus' most trusted witches."

"Who's Klaus?" Matt asked as he watched Drake knelt next to Maddox.

"An original vampire." Katherine answered watching her brother.

"Like Elijah?" Tyler asked, "Are there any other originals like them?"

"Yup. Klaus and Elijah are brothers and they have other siblings." Drake answers putting his hands on Maddox's head, "This witch will tell me where Klaus is and what he's planning on doing."

"Make it quick, Damon and Stefan are probably on their way." Katherine warned.

"This will only take a second." Drake replied before he closed his eyes, "Furta revelare, furta revelare, furta revelare." He began to chant before he opened his eyes and smirked, "I know everything now."

"I don't get it." Tyler whispered, "You guys hate this Klaus guy so why is he putting him in Mr. Saltzman's body?"

They had taken Alaric's unconscious body from his apartment and tied him down to a chair. Drake had instructed them to inject two tubes into each of his arms. The spell needed Klaus' blood inside Alaric's body so that the original vampire could possess the human. Now, the three of them watched as Drake held his hands over Alaric's head.

"Klaus is the only one that can grant us our freedom. We help him, he stops hunting us." Katherine whispered back, "He also has something Drake wants, bad."

"What?" Matt asked watching the blood pump into his teacher's body.

"Now what, who." Katherine corrected, "Klaus took the man he loved, loves. He's the only one who can get him back."

The teens both nodded before Drake stopped his chanting. Everyone tensed as Alaric raised his head and opened his eyes. Looking up he saw Drake and Katherine and gave them a deadly glare.

"Don't look so glum Klaus." Katherine teased stepping up next to Drake, "Besides we're about to give the opportunity of a lifetime."

"And how's that sweet Katerina?" Alaric asked disdainfully.

"We're going to help you break your curse." Drake answered, "And in return, you let go of this childish grudge against us."

"And if I refuse?"

"Then I fuse your soul to this body, leaving your body an empty husk. A husk I would love to drop in the bottom of the ocean." He smirked at the glare Klaus sent his way.

Klaus dropped the glare before a smirk grew on his lips, "Dragomir, I see why Kol liked you so much. It must have been hard for you, to know all the times I daggered him."

Seeing Drake clenching his fist Katherine quickly continued to conversation, "No more games. Deal or no deal Klaus?"

The original looked down at his wrists before meeting the gazes of the twins and sighed, "Well I don't seem to be in the best position to refuse."
