Chapter 5
Pyrrha and Kuni stared at each other. After a few seconds, Kuni crossed her arms and let out a sigh, slowly getting impatient.
"Did you have something to say?" Kuni asked.
"What have you been through?" Pyrrha asked without thinking.
Kuni closed her eyes as she let out a breath.
"That... is a very long story." Kuni went to head back to the class. "One I don't have time to tell to anyone."
Pyrrha watched as Kuni left.
Entering the class, Kuni took her seat with the others, crossing her arms.
After a moment passed, the bell rang and students began to leave.
"That is all for today. And remember, the dance is this weekend. But you all have your first mission on Monday. I will not accept any excuses." Goodwitch said as Kuni and her clan left.
"Dance, huh?" Reed said softly. "That might be the perfect cover to get into the Headmaster's office."
"Seems as good an opening as any." Mick agreed.
"I'll get it done." Kuni told them. "I'll be in and out quick."
The others nodded their heads in agreement.
"Hey!"
Looking back, a team of four girls approached them. Kuni recognized the one with snow white hair as Weiss Schnee, Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. She also recognized Blake Belladonna, daughter of Ghira and Kali, the heads of Menagerie.
The other two were unfamiliar.
"Can we help you?" Kuni asked.
"I just wanted to say that you were incredible back there!" The short one practically shouted. "The way you fought with Pyrrha. Oh, and your semblance! I was just-"
"Could you bring it down a notch?" Mick asked her.
"Right, sorry." The girl immediately quieted down.
Kuni rolled her eyes before looking at the girl.
"Don't mind him... er..."
"Oh! I'm Ruby." The short girl replied. "This is my sister, Yang." She gestured to the tall blonde. "And these are our teammates: Bla-"
"Blake Belladonna." Kuni said. "Daughter of Ghira and Kali. Ex-White Fang member."
Everyone fell silent.
"I know you." Kuni continued. "Didn't know you attended Beacon, though."
After a moment, Kuni directed her gaze to Weiss.
"And you're Weiss Schnee, Heiress to the SDC." Kuni said. "Glad to make your acquaintance." Kuni said to the four.
The four of them glanced at one another.
"And you are?" Weiss asked.
"Kuni Yuuki." She replied. "And these are my teammates: Reed-"
"Hey."
"Mick-"
"'Sup?"
"And Natasha."
"Hello."
There was a short pause before Ruby spoke.
"Well, uh, it was nice meeting you guys."
"Same." Kuni agreed. "Hopefully we'll see you guys around."
"Yeah."
With that, the two groups parted.
Once out of ear shot, Kuni spoke to her team.
"So, back to the topic at hand: on the night of the dance, I can get into the Headmaster's office." Kuni said. "I'll need you three at the dance to tell me if Ozpin leaves early. Once I get the intel our client requested, we'll make a plan to deal with Oz."
"Agreed."
"Alright." Kuni smirked. "This'll be easier than I thought."
