Chapter 5. Back home again...
There was a flash of light! And suddenly, Jack was outside flying in the dark. There was a mass of water below him, and it was snowing. Jack gasped as he started to fall, but the wind quickly caught him before he hit the water. He took deep breaths. '...Did I just wake up from a really long nightmare?' Jack wondered. But then thought that, no, it wasn't a dream, and no, it wasn't his imagination. It was real and he did save his friends. Jack felt very grateful as he soared through the sky. 'I never want to see them that way again.' Jack thought. He felt like he completed a task he was meant to do. Like he went forward in time for a reason, and Jack knew why. To help the Guardians of childhood.
'What was I doing?' He wondered, remembering when he went to attack his future self. 'That was me, why am I attacking myself, I don't know how I am in the future. If I'm different or if I'm the same as now. Probably not, I will be different, everyone changes over time.' Jack thought. He didn't want to be the same as all of the other boys and ...men? would he call them that? Or guys? Skinny arms and, well, everything else. Though that's not what his future self looked like. Jack felt a wave of relief wash over him, he wanted to be able to defend himself in the face of danger, whatever it may be. He didn't want to be strong just to look cool or flatter the girls. Well...maybe Tooth, she would be the only person...
Jack had flown over this part of the sea many times. And he knew where he was going.
He arrived at his destination a few minutes later.
The North Pole was as cold as ever. But what Jack noticed, was that the Pole looked much different foreword in time than it did now... Jack decided not to think about it as he landed. He saw the Guardians in the meeting room arguing and disagreeing with each other.
"I told you! We should've looked on the far side for him!"
"I had the feeling that he wasn't there!"
"Quit it with your gut North! Your only hungry!"

"Would you all just shut it and think about where he last went?!"
Jack watched them for a few minutes, he knew they were talking about him, since he'd been gone for a few days. Jack usually didn't leave them for very long, and a few days surly wasn't an option. So he jumped down from the rafters and stepped in.
"QUIET!" Jack shouted, silencing everyone. "I'm gone for 5 minutes and look what happens to all you guys."
Tooth flew over after snapping out of her daze and wrapped her arms around him. "Oh Jack! We thought you had gotten lost or hurt! We were so worried! We even thought that maybe you were kidnapped by Pitch or someone else! I'm so glad you're back!" Tooth cried. Jack stroked her hair.
"It's okay Tooth, I'm back and there's nothing to worry about." Jack said, feeling her soft feathers on his cheeks. He just felt grateful to be back in his own time. "I'll tell you everything." Tooth nodded. 'Looks like I've got a long story to tell.'...
