Part 5

I wonder where Lea is. Max thought to himself whilst eating. His mother, Amy, had just told him that a different cat, Shinji, would be watching over him and his siblings while Amy gets Lea. Lea was missing, of course Amy tried to hide it, as not to worry her kittens, but Max found out anyway. The door to the room opened, and Max was happy, thinking his mother returned with Lea, instead he was greeted by a blue cat. Who are you? Max thought to himself as he could not speak. The blue cat jumped in the pen they were 'trapped' in and began to walk towards Lex. Max watched the blue cat with carful eyes, he thought about hissing for a second, when the cat spoke, "Hey there! I'm Shinji, your mother said I'll be watching you guys for a while!" the blue cat, presumably Shinji, said. Max instantly relaxed now knowing the intruder was really just Shinji. Lex was still asleep and had not even noticed Shinji until he spoke. Lex jumped out from under the blue cat and gave a little hiss. both Max, and his sister, May, looked at Lex, "H-Hey its ok, I'm not gonna hurt you" Shinji responded weakly. Max could hear that Shinji was upset at Lex's outlash, not upset as in angry, but as in sad. May walked up towards Shinji and nuzzled his flank, Of course May would do that May was the most 'mature' of the kittens. Always trying to make sure everyone is happy, and safe. Lex sat back down, now realizing this cat isn't an intruder, and did nothing. Lex wasn't taking Lea's absence very well at all. Lex and Lea where very close to each other, and Lex just hasn't been himself recently, Causing trouble, Like Max. But unlike Max, Lex was very shy and was always nervous around new cats. Max walked up towards Lex and gave him a little lick on the shoulder. A sign of comfort. Lex looked up and gave Max a weak smile. Max tried to induce a game with Lex, But Lex just wasn't up for it. Max then tried to play with May, who ignored him as she was listening to some weird story Shinji was telling, about having to fight some robot army or whatever. Since Mac couldn't play with anyone, he opted for his second favorite thing to do; cause mischief. Of course, Max would leave Lex alone, he understood he needed some space. So instead, Max decided his first task would be to attack Shinji's tail. Max thought this as a fun game, and it usually annoyed his father, so he was excited to do something. As max was getting ready to pounce on Shinji's tail, he spoke. "Hey, do you guys Wanna maybe, go on a boat ride?" Shinji said. What is a boat? Max thought to himself. "It's outside, on the water already." Shinji said. Max had many questions on the water? What's a boat? How do we ride it? Its outside? Max looked up at Shinji and smiled. Yes! Max thought to himself, as he couldn't speak. Even Lex looked up for a second at Shinji, intrigued. "Well let's go guys! Follow me!" Shinji said. Max was ecstatic. He was going outside! He hasn't been able to ever go outside, only able to when he ran off a while back. Shinji opened the door and the sun hit Max in the face. Max could feel the grass beneath his paws and couldn't help but rolling in it. "No! You're going to get dirty!" Shinji said, sternly. Max looked up at Shinji, surprised at how he acted. But they continued walking. After what felt like hours, they finally arrived on the beach! Max looked out and saw some weird thing on the water. "Follow me guys!" Shinji repeated. Shinji jumped onto of the weird thing. "This is called a boat! We are going to ride this around the lake!" Shinji decreed. May was the first to jump on the boat. Next was Lex. He was a little hesitant. C'mon Lex hurry up! I want to go on the boat too! Max thought to himself. Lex wasn't moving, so Max gave him a little nudge. Lex than gave out a mew and Shinji jumped back onto land. "Here buddy, I'll help you" Shinji said. he picked up Lex by the scruff of his neck and jumped on the boat. He then put Lex down. Lex gave out a grateful mew and sat down next to May. Max smiled. Lex seemed happy. Max then jumped onto the boat, easily. "Alright, please be careful guys." Shinji said, "if you fall off you could get really hurt". Max looked off the edge of the boat. It was water, and deep. Suddenly the boat started moving, and Shinji was in the room with the weel. Max smiled and looked at the beach, getting smaller in the distance. Even Lex looked happy now! Everyone here was having a great time. The three of them even started playing whilst on the boat," Guys, guys! Please be careful! I don't want you to get hurt" Shinji warned. The three of them stopped playing and tried to groom each other instead. Though, no one wanted to groom Max as he was rolling in the dirt earlier, so max got angry and went to the other side of the boat. He looked back at Lex and May. They were grooming each other, leaving Max by himself. Max looked at the water, mesmerized for a while. The next time he looked back, May was by herself on the edge of the boat. And Lex was with Shinji. Max had an idea. He was going to get his revenge on May! I'm going to push her in the water! Max said to himself, confidently. Max slowly walked towards May, careful not to be seen. When he was right behind her, He gave a playful mew, and shoved her into the water.
