Time seemed to slow for Zeke as he was staring down a deranged maniac who was breaking into the hospital to kill him for something he had no control over. In the back of his mind however, he was internally panicking over the declaration of war that he'd made. "What on earth were you thinking?!"

"Not only are you trapped here with this weirdo, you probably just pissed him off even more," Zeke thought to himself before continuing, "Why did I say that anyway?" It almost felt like second nature to him for some strange reason, but had far too much on his plate at the moment to delve deeper into this.

"Do not make this any harder than it has to be. If you stop resisting, I'll make this as quick as I possibly can." Stain stated while not taking his eyes off of Zeke, "You and your quirk is far too destructive to be left alone and the people you hurt deserve justice. If nobody else will do it, then I will make sure they see it instead."

Looking around the room for any opportunities to escape and seeing none, Zeke was once again internally panicking due to almost no options available. "Great what the hell am I gonna do now?" he thought. "I could run out into the hallway, but it's covered in knockout gas and I don't know if I can hold my breath long enough to figure out my next strategy or to find help."

No longer willing to be patient with him, Stain inched closer and closer towards Zeke in order to finish his mission. "Resisting will only make it worse." By this point his sword was only inches away from Zeke leaving the boy no other option, but to attempt a sneak attack in hopes to throw him off.

"I've gotta try it," He thought quickly before making his move. Rushing the man and attempting to tackle him did nothing as he was quickly thrown off and back into the same wall he was at before. "Ok...that was an extremely bad idea. This man is way stronger than I am so taking him head on is a bad idea."

"Let's test your speed and reflexes then." Making a mad dash towards the window for a quick escape route, he was quickly blocked and punched in the stomach by Stain for his troubles. "Damn he's fast too? This is bad. This is very very bad," he groaned to himself still trying to catch his breath. Now at his feet, actually unable to move due to the speed and power he was just hit with, Zeke could only listen to more drivel coming out of this man's mouth.

"This is your last warning. Stop resisting or things will become extremely difficult for you and me. I already have no desire to kill a child, but your death is required for peace." Stain said with determination.

Looking around the room for anything else to try or use did nothing as he was seemingly out of options already. "You can't be serious! I just made that dumbass declaration and now I'm already groveling at his feet."

"Think Zeke because if you can't think of something within the next few seconds, he'll stab me and that would probably suck."

Thinking back to the knife still stuck in the wall, Zeke rushed over to it and pulled it out, aiming it at Stain. "I have no idea how to use this, let alone fight with it, but maybe I can scare him off for a moment and think of a plan." The man in front of him only grew more agitated at the pitiful attempt of a resistance the boy was putting on.

"Is this the full extent of your resolve?" He asked with a hint of disappointment in his voice. The annoyed scowl returning to his face he continued, "I don't have time for this." Raising his sword, toward him he readied himself to deliver the final blow, when something on the boy's face caught his eye and stopped him from moving forward.

"What are those markings?" Thinking it to be a futile attempt to scare him off, he followed through his blow only for it to be dodged in one swift motion. Zeke had narrowly dodged being impaled by his sword and made his way to the side of his ribcage.

"Perfect." Stabbing the man in his side with the knife as hard as he could, he quickly pulled it out and made his way towards the entrance to his Stain take a knee due to the spot he'd been stabbed in almost brought a smile to his face as he'd managed to deliver a good blow on him. "I've gotta get outta here while he's still recovering." Quickly putting his shirt around his nose and mouth, he opened the door and began to run as fast as he could down the hallway.

Looking back once more to make sure, Stain wasn't following him yet he noticed Toshinori laid out on the floor and felt extremely bad for having to leave him behind. "Don't worry, I'll be back once I find some help," he thought, but continued to sprint at an extreme pace down the hall.

"This brat really got me huh." Feeling a sharp pain in his side, he realized he may have underestimated his desire to resist. "He's just a child, so there's no way he should've been able to dodge that like he did." Attempting to move again, only brought more discomfort and pain to his body, "He even twisted the knife when he took it out to maximize the damage.."

"This changes nothing." He thought to himself with the same determination as before. "He still must die, but it seems like I'll have to take him a little more seriously than before. If I don't then another mistake like this could occur." Waiting a few more moments until he was sure, the wound wouldn't be much of a hindrance, he stood back up with his sword in one hand and a throwing knife in his other.

"He will NOT escape my judgement again!" He exclaimed with venom seeping into his voice.

Dashing out of the room in the same direction Zeke had gone, he had a feeling this boy was already hiding away planning his next move. "Most of the patients and staff in this hospital are already asleep due to that fool's quirk. It won't be long before he realizes that there is no one coming to save him."

"I don't have all night as those two heroes would be here within thirty minutes if the speed of that old man's quirk is any indication." Observing the split in the hallway, he noticed something that had sealed the boy's fate in his mind.

Smiling to himself, Stain looked at the floor and could bask in how lucky he had gotten. "He's leading me right to his hiding spot and the boy doesn't even realize it."

Beginning to sprint down the left hallway opposite of where Zeke had gone, the Hero Killer had begun making his move to put his hunt in motion.

"Great, this should buy me enough time to think of what to do," he pondered still out of breath from running for what seemed like forever. Taking refuge in a supply closet on the other side of the hospital seemed like a good idea at the time, but now Zeke was regretting the choice he made.

"This maniac is trying to kill me because of something he thinks I did and probably wouldn't listen to reason. Then if you take the fact that I have no earthly idea where anyone who could help is, it continues to get worse. Finally to top it all off, I've basically trapped myself in a janitor supply closet with no phone or anything that could be useful to me."

He grimaced as he imagined the man stabbing him clean through his stomach with the knife and paled. "I'm so screwed."

"Use It."

Remembering back to moments ago when he'd used his quirk as a momentary deterrent he realized that just like Mr. Aizawa and Mr. Toshinori, he could see his aura too. "Wait a minute, now that I think about it, I could see his aura too. I'm not even remotely close to him and yet I could see and feel it clear as day."

"I wonder…" Turning his quirk on to try and see Stain's aura again, he was able to see the man was currently on the far end of the other hallway away from his location. Breathing a sigh of relief he thought back to how he easily overpowered him in a head on fight. "I couldn't do a thing to him back there. I got extremely lucky he let his guard down so I was able to stab him, but he's moving like he's already recovered."

"In a straight up fight, I'll get killed attempting the same strategy twice. He definitely won't fall for it again. Coming to the realization that he won't be able to beat him without using some sort of plan, he figures maybe there is something in this closet that can help him.

Zeke began rummaging around for anything there to help him even the odds against his attacker and bring him down to his level, when he spotted some items that by themselves might've been useless, but together they might end up being extremely necessary for his survival.

Feeling something dripping from his arm he looked down and a plan began to form in his mind. He could only hope he had enough time before his location was eventually discovered. "As long as that maniac doesn't automatically immediately come storming into this room to kill me, I'll be fine. All I need is five minutes and it'll be ready."

Taking the supplies he had obtained, Zeke began to ready the room for an ambush whenever Stain did show up. "It might be considered brutal, but I don't really have a choice in the matter if I wanna live, now do I?"

"All I need is time," He thought. "Please just let me have that." Not slowing down at all, Zeke continued to ready his surprise for the man when he eventually found him. "You wanted a fight. You're gonna get one you never forget."

Stain had finished carving his way into the ceiling to ambush the boy who had eluded him once tonight and the air was still filled with a sense of uncertainty for the Hero Killer. "I know he's somewhere on the other side of the hallway, but it'd take far too long to search every room on the other side for his location," he thought.

Climbing into the ceiling and finding stable footing to move, he started off towards his destination, "If I were a small scared and defenseless child, I probably wouldn't hide in any rooms with patients as it'd be one of the first places to look. Furthermore I also wouldn't hide in any offices as most are locked without having the right clearance."

"There's only one place that's normally unlocked and can be accessed by anyone," Sniffing the air he readied himself to pounce through the vent above the room and eliminate his target, "And it's down here!"

Breaking his way through the vent and down to the room below he stopped short when he saw nobody was in here. "This can't be right! I'm sure I smelled his IV fluid coming from this room." Keeping his sword stable, waiting for the boy to show himself, he began looking for any signs that he had been there. "He has to be here! There isn't any other place he could've gone." Growing agitated his eyes drifted to wet spots on the floor and he immediately knew he was here. They led to a small space near the side of a cleaning supply shelf with a small figure covered in a large towel, which the boy was obviously hiding.

"So that's where you are hiding." Creeping up slowly with his sword ready to strike, he reached out to remove said towel so he could confirm his target before executing him. Removing the towel from his target, Stain's face grew agitated once again realizing this isn't the boy. "What the-", he didn't have time to finish his thought as he felt something sharp penetrating his right shoulder making him drop his sword.

Zeke had hidden himself away from him above on the cabinets hoping the man would take the bait he left for him. "Had I not noticed I had fluid dripping off me, I'd have led him right to me. Luckily I realized my mistake in time, so thank God for that."

Driving the knife deeper and deeper into Stain before removing it once again, Zeke began running towards the door hoping to get away quick enough before he could recover. "Just gotta reach it…"

Stain had already dashed towards his back with the knife in his left hand going for a kill shot. "You will not escape me again!" He exclaimed swinging at the boy's neck. Zeke having the sense to duck his head avoiding decapitation, he ran to the side of the room almost as if to taunt Stain into chasing him. Feeling fury rising in his veins, he gave chase to the boy knowing he couldn't outrun him. "Fine if that's the way you want it then so be it! Your death shall come to pass and you only have yourself to blame for how messy it's about to become!"

"Alright, time for phase two," he thought before making his way to the trip wire he set up hoping Stain wouldn't see it in time.

Rage blinding him, he ran forward, not even realizing he'd just activated the trip wire. He barely had time to look down at what he'd just done before the room was suddenly covered in a think powdery substance limiting his vision. "What the hell is this?" Stain yelled furiously. The room before he knew it was completely shrouded in the white substance and he no longer had any clue as to the boy's whereabouts.

"The door hasn't been opened yet so he hasn't escaped and I haven't heard footsteps since tripping this contraption beneath my feet." Hearing rumblings near him he readied himself once again for a sneak attack, "He's near."

Unbeknownst to Stain, Zeke was already using his quirk to view his aura so his vision was completely unobscured by the fog covering the room. "I've only got one shot at this so I've gotta make it count."

Grabbing his latest creation, he prepared himself for a frontal assault that could very well get him killed if he messes up the timing on it. "If I don't time this perfectly, he'll end up impaling me with that freakishly sharp sword of his, but if I don't attempt this then he'll have enough time to recover and all my progress will be for nothing."

"Fight."

Feeling another rush of courage and determination building itself inside of him, he made a straight shot towards Stain knowing the man would have to take the bait and react.

Rushing forward toward Stain with his "bleach bomb" in hand(a large rubber glove filled with bleach), Zeke only had one particular goal in mind. "His eyes."

"If I can get rid of his sight, I'd have far more time to find help, but I CAN'T mess this up!"

Stain although visually handicapped at the moment could still hear footsteps coming into his frontal area and readied himself to deliver a killshot the moment the boy stepped into his line of sight. "I will cut him down even if it's the last thing I do!"

Zeke jumped into his line of sight with some contraption in his hands, Stain couldn't see, but stayed weary of. Winding his sword back at an awkward angle he slung it forward hoping to finish him off here and now. Zeke being able to see Stain's attack undisturbed by the fog covering the room contorted his body hoping to at least avoid being bisected by his sword slash.

The sword managed to nip his right side and made Zeke wince, but still determined to finish the job at hand, he followed through with bringing the bleach bomb as close as he could get to Stain's face before crushing it in his hands making the bleach shoot out everywhere. "ARGH!" Stain dropped his sword while attempting to wipe the bleach from his eyes and Zeke followed through his next attack.

Taking out the knife he had stored in his mouth, he fell to the ground and repeatedly stabbed Stain in his left leg. "Keep going. Don't give him time to breath." The Hero Killer shouted in pain, yet continued to swipe and slash at anything in the area catching Zeke quite a few times before slowing down his movements.

"Damn this boy!" Stain agonizingly thought. "This doesn't make any sense, how is he able to move and fight like this!?"

Sensing his opportunity had presented itself, Zeke finished off his assault by plunging the knife into his stomach and twisting it before running away towards the exit. "This is it. He shouldn't be as fresh now to chase me anymore."

Stain was feeling many emotions at the moment due to the situation he was currently in. His body was in terrible condition due to the stab wounds the boy had dealt to him now and the earlier one he received when he first met him, had played a huge role in limiting his offensive potential. "I played it safe earlier after he stabbed me the first time, because I didn't want to cause my wound anymore damage by unnecessary movements. Looks like that was another bad call on my part."

"Fine." Smiling to himself he grabbed the knife he had managed to slash the boy with and licked the blood off of it with determination filling his body once again.

Running down the hall back to Toshinori, Zeke winced with every step he took due to the few slash wounds he had received due to Stain's flurry. "It's becoming harder and harder to move and these are just cuts compared to what I gave him. There's no way he'll recover from that." Making another turn at a hallway he remembers running past when he first evaded the man, he saw Toshinori still laid out on the floor near his room, phone still in hand.

"Thank God, I hope he's ok, but it'd be nice if he could wake up already and help me with this weirdo chasing me. That big form he has would probably come in handy right about n-"

In an instant, Zeke was frozen in his tracks and was unable to move for some strange reason. "Wh-why can't I move?" Attempting to do anything did nothing as he was seemingly frozen in place. "This doesn't make any sense, what the hell could possibly be stopping my body from...Stain!"

Eyes widening he turned his quirk on to attempt to feel where the man's location was currently and to his horror, he could feel a presence blitzing his way through the hospital to his location and the aura he had grew stronger and stronger the closer it got. "No...nonononononono, this cannot be happening!" he panicked to himself, "How can he move after everything I did to him!?"

Unable to protect himself, Stain had caught up to him and in less than an instant, pierced Zeke's shoulder with his sword while grabbing the back of his head and slamming it into the floor. Not being able to speak due to the pain shooting through his shoulder, the only thing he could do with the sword still stuck in him was to turn his head and look at the man who did it.

"This is.." The blood red aura had now become surrounded by splotches of black mixed in and his head began to hurt once again. "What am I hearing now? I can't tell if it's the pain getting to me or my quirk, but this is bad. This is extremely bad."

Leaving the sword thrust through the boy and into the ground, Stain began to speak, "Society has so many things wrong with it, it makes my skin crawl. Fakes being worshipped as true heroes while the real ones are barely acknowledged." The aura grew stronger and stronger as he continued.

"The one true shining star amongst the garbage that the current society has to offer is All Might and he can't save everyone nor should he try either. People like me bask in the darkness and shadows so people like him can stand proudly in the sun and make no mistake, I hold no issue with that. Fakes like Endeavor or Eraserhead could never understand my reasoning so I no longer attempt to make them understand." Lifting the sword up out of Zeke elicited a mild yelp, but the boy was drained, tired and far too hurt to shout.

"Even after all you've put me through tonight, I still hold no grudge against you, but my ideals and beliefs keep me on the path I've chosen. I truly believe that in order for one to keep going forward in life, you need to have something greater than yourself in mind. Heroes, villains, civilians, deep down think the same way I do when it comes to this and even if they refuse to admit it, everyone has to be a little selfish in their drive to see their dreams and ideals be brought forth to reality."

Zeke can barely make out a faint voice in his head that he assumes is tied to this aura he's feeling of this man. It felt like pure bloodlust, but if he really focused past that, it almost felt...sad.

"Everyone is a slave to somethin'"

"This will be the last time we meet." Raising the sword past his head, he aimed it to his temple preparing to deliver the final blow. "Farewell child." he stated about to pierce his temple and kill him.

"Wait a minute. This can't be it." Looking at in front of him still unmoving made panic race through his mind. "Help. Somebody please help me!"

"I fought my ass off so I could by time for heroes to show up and yet nobody is here." Tears built up in his eyes as he came to the conclusion that help wasn't going to make it to him in time..

"They aren't gonna make it." Not even bothering to hold them back, the floodgates burst and tears ran down his face. "I'm gonna die here." Thoughts of his unknown origins and past pushed themselves to the forefront of his mind.

"I'm gonna die without remembering anything. My family, friends...anything connected to my past is gonna die with me." Despair and a new found acceptance rolled into his thoughts. "I guess…"

"Fight."

"Fight."

"Fight."

"Fight."

"Fight."

"What am I sensing?" Sensing an unknown aura rushing towards the window, he made a judgement call and decided to gamble with his life one last time. "I can't let him kill me.!"

As the sword was being thrust down to finish him, Zeke maneuvered and twisted his head in the opposite direction, grazing his temple instead of piercing it. The moment the sword missed it's target, unknown projectiles that also had the strange aura surrounding them, broke through the window and ran themselves into Stain, pushing him into the wall beside them.

"Well would ya look at that? I'm a little late, but I won't let you hurt him anymore," The winged man said with confidence and determination oozing off him. Flying into the window he shot even more feathers from his red wings and they all drove his clothes further into the wall making him completely immobile.

Rushing over to Zeke, he scooped the boy in his arms and flew over to Toshinori. "Sorry I'm late kid. I'm gonna stop this man from hurting you anymore ok." Flashing a bright smile towards Zeke the only thing he could do is nod his head.

"Alright, stay here and watch the old guy. I'm gonna go deal with that psycho over there."

"What's your name sir?" Zeke observed his aura and noticed it was sky blue. "Again, here's another one I can see. What is going on? Who are these people?"

"The name's Hawks and I'm the friendly neighborhood superhero at your service." Saluting the boy playfully, he lifted himself off the ground and flew towards Stain ready to finish this foolish attack on the boy's life.

"Do you think this will stop me from finishing my duty? I will kill him without fail." Even while heavily injured the hero killer was left undisturbed by his predicament.

"How do you figure that tough guy? I have you nailed down to the wall and you have no earthly idea how many people you've just pissed off pulling a stunt like this amidst all the chaos we already have to deal with." Walking towards him with a sharpened feather he pointed at Stain daring him to move a muscle, "It's over for you."

Stain smiled realizing this man had sealed his fate the moment he decided to attempt to stop him from completing his goal. "Once I deal with you, the boy will be next. I will not be stopped!" Hawks noticed a thick black portal being summoned from behind Stain and he was being swept into it.

"Wait!" he exclaimed, attempting to throw more feathers to stop his escape, but it was already too late as he had been fully engulfed by it.

Zeke took note of everything that had just transpired and noticed that instead of disappearing, the aura surrounding the hero killer moved behind Hawks as if he was preparing to strike. "Look out!" he yelled hoping to reach him in time.

Jumping out of the portal, Stain made a quick slash at Hawks hoping he would be able to wrap this up quickly. Dodging him at an even quicker pace than he anticipated, Hawks made an attempt to slash him with his winged sword, but missed as the portal opened up and dragged him back inside.

"Damn it, I almost had him." Hawks thought. "How the hell did the kid know where he'd strike anyway?"

"Yo, how did you know where he'd strike?" Hawks called out.

"My quirk allows me to view people's auras and I can feel where they are." Zeke yelled back and continued to look around the room waiting for Stain to show himself again when a chill ran up his spine. Stain jumped through another black portal, sword already in motion to strike him.

"Kid, look out!" Hawks yelled, but Zeke knew exactly what was behind him and he had no way of dodging the sword slash inches from his face. "Damn it, why won't he quit!"

An unknown yellow figure blitzed through another window and tackled Stain before he could finish his attack. "Aizawa, now!" he yelled.

Aizawa had climbed through the window and was already deploying his containment gear at Stain hoping to tie him down. "None of you can stop me! All Might is the only one worthy!"

Yet another black portal opened up as Torino was thrown off and Stain was sucked away. "Mr. Aizawa, there's no time to explain everything, but I think someone is teleporting him around. I can use my quirk to let you guys know where he'll strike but you've gotta stop him. Please be careful."

Nodding at the boy, all three men readied themselves for whatever Stain was going to throw at them as they realized his counter attack had just begun.

So first of all I want to thank everyone who has followed and favorited my story as I didn't think it'd be liked by this many people.

This was such a fun chapter to write and Stain is one persistent man when it comes to accomplishing his goals. I should probably do a quirk breakdown on Zeke and how it actually functions since it may be confusing to some. Along with this, Zeke will end up at UA, but I felt like he needed some reasoning to even want to be a hero so we've gotta take the scenic route with his development.

Anyways hope you all enjoyed the chapter and see you very soon for the finale of this battle.
