Tris
I wake up to seeing Tobias. He is still asleep, but looking cute while doing so. His hair long, but not too much longer than his normal hair cut. "Your up early." I hear him say groggily. His eyes adjusting to the morning sun peaking through the blinds. "well maybe your up late?" I tell him, smiling. "maybe." He says. "what do you want for breakfast? He asks me. I honestly don't know. I really don't feel like going down to the dinning hall. "eggs." I say. I know it is an abnegation food, but it reminds me of home, and it will always be a part of me. "really?" He looks "you want plain 'stiff' food? Ok." Stiff. An interesting word. I never use it, don't have a reason to use it.
In abnegation, they are plain, but Tobias added some peppers and some seasoning to make them taste less like cardboard.
"Thank you." I tell him. "your welcome beautiful." He says walking up behind me, and wrapping his arms around me, resting his chin on my shoulder. "well aren't you clingy today." I say with a smile. He turns me around and kisses me, pulling me in close. It lasts for about 15 seconds before I finally break away and finish my eggs.
"so Tobias, what are you doing today?" I ask. "well, I have to work on surveillance again. If you want to come, I would have no objection." He says rubbing the back of his neck. "I would live that." I say grinning.
Tobias
Tris and I walk hand in hand down to surveillance, but then I freeze.
Marcus.
He is here, at Dauntless. He is walking around with a group of people in different colors of clothing. He is most likely here for a meeting or something. And then it dawns on me.
"SHIT!" I practically yell.
"Tobias, what's wrong?" I hear Tris ask. "Tris, its visiting day." I say. "and?" she wonders. "and, my father is here." Her expression is blank. "Tobias, we will figure someth-" but is cut off by an oldish raspy voice.
"Tobias?"
Its Marcus.
I want to curl into a ball. I want to scream. I want to do many things, but instead, I stand there, doing nothing but squeeze Tris's hand harder.
"Tobias is that you?" Marcus says, and without warning, he moves in and hugs me. A shudder moves through my body as the hands that struck me now softly brush on my skin. I remain still. Tris stands there, her hand in mine. "Who's this?" He asks. "umm.." I start, but my mouth goes dry. "Tris." "Tris Prior." I hear Tris say, and she says it with aggression. "I see. Well how, um… how are you doing?" He asks. I just stand there. I pull Tris close to me, after all, I don't want anything to happen to her. "Umm..." I say. "good." I don't elaborate. "Well how are things working out here?" he asks, staring down Tris, then looking back at me. He is doing eye tag. Before I can say anything Tris jumps in, " I don't know what kind of 'game' you think you are playing, but were done here." She is ready to turn around but before we can Marcus does something, something that I will never forget. "What makes you think you can talk to me like that Ms. Prior?" he says tugging on her shoulder. All at once, my fear disappears, and all that is left in me is anger. "Don't you touch her!" I say pushing him. "Tris, lets go." I say. "Tobias! Who the heck do you think you are pushing me, I am your father!" He yells, and even though the Abnegation don't yell, he has broken enough rules to say he doesn't care. "You are not my father." I say calmly, right before Tris and I head back to the surveillance room.
The room is almost empty, only a few people in the room, including Me and Tris. "Why is he here?" She asks. "I don't know, but I am going to find out." I say.
