Review Responses:
The-Anti-Akuma: The first part was all the OC, but the second was part of a poorly removed subplot where "Harry" listened and feared punishment and created a horcrux himself but it was too time consuming and boring and wasted space. It was originally meant to instill a fear of death and draw parallels between Riddle and "OC Harry," but I wanted an anti-hero instead of a villain MC and had to gut a lot of content from the story.
Azaira: I did have to summarize minor details and canon events that I didn't change or made one minor change.
Flame punch: It took you four chapters to realized that an OC SI familiar with fan fiction was going to live his new life like it was called "Power Wanking, a self-love story." He has foreknowledge and an advantage, he's going to exploit the hell out of that and better his position. That's the whole point of the story. Other wise he's just sitting back and letting everything canon happen and rendering his own rebirth completely pointless. This isn't a Gamer fic, most of them are unfinished, and tedious. It's inspired by them in terms of boons and goals. This is what I would do in the HP-verse, thus the OC SI, with some elements relating to the OC being manipulated by 'the voice.' I've read the books and rehashed canon several times in other works to the point that I gave up HP fan fiction for a while, reading and writing it, and instead I summarized instead of transcribing canon events and wasting my energy on what people already know.
Now I could point out that you've added stories that have committed all of the "crimes" you've accused me of to your favorites, but I don't care all that much. You don't like my story and the style its written in, which is mostly on me. I have to summarize or give up HP fan fiction.
I'm sorry that you didn't like my story but it was kind of obvious where it was heading. There were literal spoilers in the first chapter. I thank you for the evaluation of my writing (7/10 isn't completely terrible despite not being great) and I wish you well.
Uday Sra and Yaw6113: Thanks.
Jestersky98: Well, wanting Pettigrew to receive a fate worse than death could be excused as the actions of an angry orphaned child. Harry is limited due to his youth and the various factions being attached to other leaders or neutral and only Voldemort is inactive... the Light Faction has an active and powerful leader while the Dark Faction doesn't. Harry needs the allies, he has a semi-genuine grievance with Snape; having a loving family could have been nice, he destroyed Snape's standing among the Dark Faction and sowed distrust of him there, and managed to avenge his parents in this life some. Snape was an accessory to their deaths and mistreats children and has gone unpunished too. Weakening Dumbledore's position, depicting himself as a neutral forced to work with the Dark, and tainting Dumbledore's image can paint Harry as the new good guy and get him a lot of power. They're all just a means to an end and he's only acting like a Dark Lord. Harry is more pragmatic and focused on his end goal and power.
June 6th, 1994.
Harry had enjoyed his third year and the absence of dementors and drama helped a lot with that. Harry had strived for perfection in all of his classes and had remained at the top. Plus Harry had lost his virginity at a decent age and he was getting plenty of practice with Susan and Padma. Harry was lucky that he had a previous life of moderate sexual activity to fall back on and was a reasonably gifted lover in that life. That had only improved in this life due to necessity. Harry really wanted Fleur Delacour to be his wife and that came with self-imposed expectations... that he needed to rock her world in bed because Veela really were highly sexual beings.
Harry wanted this life to fulfill all of his fantasies for the Harry Potter universe.
Including power wanking fantasies, but honestly he seemed to have been blessed with all the tools that he needed for that. Harry viewed that as tacit approval.
Harry, joined by Horace Slughorn, Augusta Longbottom, Sirius Black, the recently outed Remus Lupin, and Professors Flitwick, Sinistra, Babbling, Burbage, Hooch, and Vector joining him. Harry expected that several of the governors would defect to him soon enough and if not then they would be escorted off of Hogwarts Grounds. Winning these allies was a difficult thing and Harry had to omit mentioning some of his plans to Remus.
Harry casually flicked the doors open with wandless magic and entered the Governors Meeting Room.
"Lord Potter what are you doing here?" Lord Ogden asked with a hint of anger.
"Well I discovered something very interesting when I underwent a lineage test... I'm the Lord Gryffindor and by Right of Conquest, the Lord Slytherin. I own Hogwarts legally and in the eyes of Magic... And I find this body incompetent and it wasn't created with the approval of House Gryffindor or Slytherin, or even House Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Hogwarts has sunk into mediocrity because most of you are Dumbledore's vapid 'Yes Men' and there is no place for your ilk in Hogwarts any longer. Leave peacefully or you will be forced off of Hogwarts Grounds and then arrested... I've been advised that some of you will quickly find yourselves in Azkaban.
"You have no proof and you're too young to command us on such matters... perhaps one of us could serve as your regent?" Ogden said at Lord Malfoy's urging. Malfoy was just testing Ogden's arrogance and his confidence in Dumbledore for Harry though.
Harry responded by drawing on the power of Hogwarts and wandlessly lifting Ogden from his seat and then crushing his arms, legs, and his wand. Harry casually flung the arrogant old man into a wall afterward. They were shocked by Harry's brutality, except for Lucius who was impressed by it.
Harry flashed his Lordship Rings for Houses Slytherin and Gryffindor.
"Attempted usurpation of a Lords rights on his own property... the Light has grown unduly arrogant. Leave, except for Lord Malfoy and Lord Greengrass and Madam Marchbanks." Harry said coldly. "And take what's left of Ogden with you." Harry knew that Ogden was still alive, albeit crippled, but wanted to mess with them further.
"Why us?" Lord Gareth Greengrass asked.
"You all have useful skills that could prove valuable for the body that will replace this defective one," Harry replied.
The Aurors arrived moments later.
"Please escort the former members of the Hogwarts Board of Governors off of Hogwarts Grounds... and feel free to ignore any orders from teachers or Dumbledore in his capacity as headmaster. He won't be one for much longer." Remus gave Harry a shocked look at that. Remus knew that Dumbledore had caused Harry a lot of suffering; Remus had seen the memories of Harry's abuse, but he didn't believe that Harry would be that harsh. "Oh and if Snape draws a wand on you feel free to take him and dose him to his gills with Veritaserum."
The Aurors cheered and escorted the board members out, placing Ogden under medical stasis.
"Now, you each have invaluable skills and are advanced in them enough that you could identify essential skills for future careers for students that may or may not be taught. The goal of the Educational Oversight Committee is for Hogwarts to actually become the best magical school in the world. This means an ever-evolving Muggle Studies curriculum so that students can blend in the Muggle World, a Defense Against the Dark Arts curriculum that leaves students ready for Auror or Hit Wizard training and a moderate grasp of dueling, Divination will require taking a Potion that identifies Seer ability, Muggle Studies will not be open to Muggle-raised students or Muggle-borns and the same will apply to Muggle Art and Music... they would clearly understand both of those, and a new etiquette class will be taught so that Muggle-borns and Muggle-raised are more culturally aware."
"Albus Dumbledore-" Marchbanks began.
"Is a failed Headmaster. You can easily prove that by looking at our rankings and by looking at the OWL and NEWT results in Divination, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and most recently in Care of Magical Creatures with Hagrid; who has no NEWTs or OWLs, blundering through and reducing the quality of education in that class too. Albus Dumbledore has destroyed this schools reputation and he has cheated countless people out of their money by promising them excellence and only giving them a subpar education. His dismissal is an absolute and your blind loyalty and willful ignorance of his flaws isn't helping anyone and it certainly isn't helping the school and its students." Harry paused. "You can either play a part in restoring Hogwarts' reputation or leave."
"These Professors and upstanding citizens aren't here for nothing, Madam Marchbanks," Harry finished.
"You have my support, Lord Gryffindor-Slytherin," Gareth said.
"Mine also, My Lord," Lucius added.
"Dumbledore will show you the error of your ways, child," Marchbanks spat, before leaving.
Harry smirked. He was mature enough to let a verbal insult pass... especially from a pathetic old woman clinging to a false hope and a false savior.
Lucius Malfoy, Gareth Greengrass, Augusta Longbottom, Horace Slughorn, Remus Lupin, and Sirius Black were the first members of the oversight committee with more to be added. Horace would replace Albus Dumbledore as the Headmaster.
Hours later...
Harry entered the Headmasters office flanked by Horace, Augusta, Sirius, and Lucius... Dumbledore had been awaiting his dismissal with dread. He hadn't been able to find the current Lord Gryffindor or Slytherin and they were the only ones capable of reinforcing the Board of Governors and his allies were of no help with the property laws all on his opponents side and ownership of Hogwarts resting in the hands of House Gryffindor and Slytherin. Once more, Albus wished that women were treated more fairly during Hogwarts founding.
"Alright, old man. You can pack your stuff up and take a permanent vacation from Hogwarts. My takeover is completed and Hogwarts is completely mine now." Harry said, unashamed of his gloating. To drive the point across, Harry took control of the wards.
"I'll begin packing," Dumbledore said tiredly.
"House-elves will remain on-hand to ensure that you don't take anything belonging to Hogwarts... which will include any donations made to Hogwarts as a whole, departments, and the headmasters library... you may keep items donated expressly to yourself, however." Dumbledore grimaced. Some dangerous books had been donated or bequeathed to Hogwarts and the headmasters library. "Horace will be taking over as the headmaster. I find McGonagall untrustworthy... she'll just do whatever you tell her to do."
Harry turned to his companions. "I need to speak with Dumbledore in private." They nodded and left and Harry covered the portraits and removed their ability to hear. "You know. You put me into an abusive home... I felt hopeless and trapped. I had no power or ability to defend myself. My magic wasn't enough to defend myself and I didn't want to gravely injure or kill them."
"Now you know how it feels to be hopeless. Now you know what its like to have an opponent that you can't defend against. Your magic couldn't help you. Your allies couldn't help you. Be glad that humiliating you is where I'm drawing the line... besides, why kill you when living can be more torturous than dying." Albus was just gritting his teeth. Harry was just lashing out in retaliation for the abuse he had suffered. Thankfully he was just angry rather than truly Dark.
Harry had one more thing to do. Harry telekinetically took the Elder Wand from Dumbledore, pulling it into his hand... Harry's body glowed gold as he unlocked an enhanced life-span and much greater magical power.
"Finally got the whole set!" Harry exclaimed in joy. "Anyway, do keep this quiet. Unlike most wielders of the Hallows I actually have their instruction manuals. And the Hallows are linked to me now... me dying would destroy them. Oh, and you won't be giving any speeches before leaving. Can't have you twisting the truth to paint us all as villains."
"Why couldn't I find the Lord Gryffindor or Slytherin?" Dumbledore asked.
"Because you never realized that it was me and wasted your time. I waited this long because I thought that you would figure it out and I could have a laugh about it." Harry replied, amused by the look on Dumbledore's face.
"How did this happen?"
"My mother was literally a female version of Godric Gryffindor... same red hair and green eyes. I won House Slytherin by Right of Conquest using my mothers victory and a few of my own."
"Did you kill Quirrell?" Dumbledore asked pointedly.
"No, I assumed that you did that and covered it up. His stutter and faint were both fake and he was clearly untrustworthy. Tell me what happened." Dumbledore remained silent. "Tell me what happened or I'll involve the DMLE with the possibility of you having endangered the children here... with your supporters involvement in the plot. They'd love to dose Snape with Veritaserum and poor McGonagall wouldn't survive in Azkaban if she was involved. Plus, I'd really love to fill the school with like-minded people... I only need an excuse or a provocation."
Dumbledore talked and told Harry everything that he already knew.
"The Flamels are dead?" Harry asked for confirmation.
"Yes."
"Good. This school isn't a place to bait mass-murdering Dark Lords who can conjure Fiendfyre and then kill everyone here when they're backed into a corner." Having said that, Harry gave Dumbledore a pointed look and Dumbledore looked ashamed. "Should I find out they're simply in hiding then everyone will find out about their willingness to recklessly endanger Hogwarts students... and your own. Hundreds of students aren't an acceptable risk or a loss."
Harry left Dumbledore to pack, the house-elves on-hand to both help and watch him. Dumbledore was left to wonder what victories Harry had achieved over Tom, but he had plenty of time to investigate now.
Hours later, Great Hall.
It was time for yet another dinner, but Harry had a speech to make.
"As you may have noticed, Albus Dumbledore isn't here and there is another man sitting on what is arguably a throne. In other news, I'm going to design myself a throne because I'm rich and whimsical, but that isn't important right now." Mild laughter. "Albus Dumbledore was sacked in disgrace along with most of the now defunct Board of Governors. Incompetence from both. Horace Slughorn, the former Potions Master before Professor Snape, will be taking over as Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." All of the Slytherin's, Ravenclaws, and Hufflepuff's applauded.
"I recently learned that I'm the descendant of Godric Gryffindor through my mother and due to the property laws of that time that excluded women, I owned 50% of Hogwarts. By Right of Conquest; using my mothers defeat of Voldemort," cue shocked exclamations, "yes, I said the fake name of a pure-blood supremacist who was beaten by a muggle-born, yay for me." More laughter. "Anyway, using my mothers defeat of an angry virgin who wasn't hugged enough as a child and a few of my own, I seized House Slytherin and I'm now the Lord Slytherin. I own 100% of Hogwarts... so when I walk around like I own the place it's because I actually do and not because I'm arrogant. Although calling me arrogant isn't a totally unfair criticism."
That got laughs from everyone.
"Anyway. Here is your new Headmaster, Horace Slughorn," Harry said, before stepping aside for Horace to takeover.
Horace received a great deal of applause.
"Thank you, everyone. I'm Horace Slughorn, former Head of Slytherin House and the former Potions Master before briefly retiring. Due to the greatly reduced standards of Hogwarts, with it ranking eighth among the Eleven Great Schools and failing in the areas of History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and the quality of education in Care of Magical Creatures has greatly suffered this year, there will be major reforms to restore Hogwarts' previously excellent reputation and remove critical failings inherent in practices tolerated by Dumbledore." Horace continued on.
"Firstly, teachers will require, at the very minimum, a NEWT in a subject to teach it. This will ensure that they witnessed a stable curriculum and have the practical and theoretical knowledge to impart in such a way that the students will experience consistent academic growth."
"The Hogwarts Board of Governors has been replaced with an oversight committee with only Lord Malfoy and Lord Greengrass remaining... Tiberius Ogden was carried off to Saint Mungos after daring to attempt to usurp the powers of House Slytherin and Gryffindor in Hogwarts and before its rightful Lord and his allies. He is now likely crippled for life, an act of mercy given that Lord Potter could have legally killed him." Having gotten sidetracked, Horace continued.
"The goal of the Educational Oversight Committee is for Hogwarts to actually become the best magical school in the world. This means an ever-evolving Muggle Studies curriculum so that students can blend into the Muggle World, a Defense Against the Dark Arts curriculum that leaves students ready for Auror or Hit Wizard training and a moderate grasp of dueling. All future Divination students will require taking a Potion that identifies Seer ability, Muggle Studies will not be open to Muggle-raised students or Muggle-borns and the same will apply to Muggle Art and Music... they clearly understand both of those, and a new etiquette class will be taught so that Muggle-borns and Muggle-raised are more culturally aware and don't offend any of their perspective future employers out of ignorance. These are all reforms that would have been implemented if Hogwarts had a competent Headmaster."
"Finally," Horace began. "Slurs against muggle-borns, half-bloods, half-humans, and even pure-bloods will now be punished by loss of points and detention. That concludes my announcements. Are there any questions?"
Predictably, Hermione Granger raised her hand.
"Yes and your name?" Horace asked.
"Hermione Granger, sir. What about students who have already started the classes? Will they be booted out of the reformed classes?"
"No, they will not. That creates a large logistics issue and would force students to quickly catch up on a years work or more in other classes. It will be phased out and second-year students will be tested for Seer talent before departing Hogwarts this term. Should students have three electives then they are welcome to test for Seer ability and should the test be negative or insufficient for the student, then they can focus on other classes instead." Horace called for the next question.
"Why are Muggle-borns being denied a chance to view Muggles from a magicals perspective?" Granger asked.
"Because it's a waste of resources and the students time. It's mostly confusion at why Muggles need so many contraptions or at their fashion." Horace replied.
"Why is Potter in Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor?" Ron Weasley asked.
"Because he was sorted there by the Sorting Hat like any other student?" Horace asked in return. "Students are sorted into the house that is the best fit for them. For Lily Evans, that was Gryffindor, but Ravenclaw was the hats second choice."
"What will the Etiquette class be called?" Dean Thomas asked.
"Wizarding Etiquette. Books on traditions kept by magical nobility and an explanation of why will be required reading. It's believed that with Muggle-borns and Muggle-raised students being aware of the why and what is deemed offensive or insulting it will ease their integration into our society. It will be an additional first year class with minimal homework and moderate exams. Older students may join a class as an additional elective also. This will be a required class for Muggle-born and Muggle-raised students." Horace said and his last comment caused some outrage.
"Silence!" Horace bellowed firmly. "Only for the first years, next year. But demonstrating comprehension of etiquette will improve your career opportunities. For example you may call someone Madam or Mrs. instead of Lady and slight them... if you do this often then you may even be fired or demoted. As cruel as this seems it will truly help you in your life in this world."
"Why is there magical nobility? And do they answer to the House of Windsor?" Granger asked, causing some laughs.
"Magical nobility all answer to magical ruling houses and are bound by oath and magic to do so. Several of the surviving houses can trace their ancestry back to Camelot and even before it. As such they predate the House of Windsor and the House of Hanover. If the House of Pendragon ever activates then we will have our ruling line restored. As it stands the Ministry of Magic can only be abolished by the House of Pendragon and even then the Wizengamot couldn't be. The Ministry of Magic works with the Muggle Ministries and not for them." Horace explained.
"Is there a current ruling house?" Lavender Brown asked.
"No. The closest thing to it are Lords with settled lands such as Lord Gryffindor-Slytherin who actually owns Hogsmeade too." Horace replied.
"And wasn't that a surprise," Harry whispered to an amused Padma.
The questions ended shortly afterward.
Late June, 1994.
After a wonderful ride home spent snogging his ladies, Harry had arrived home at Potter Manor. Harry was looking forward to an enjoyable and relaxing summer full of training and growing his power and knowledge further. His house-elves had already delivered the locket horcrux into his possession and Harry could now destroy it at any time... but he would wait. He intended to publicly break Tom and win himself some fame and respect to increase his influence and power. Naturally, with all of this going for him someone had to ruin his good mood and naturally it was one of Dumbledore's pawns.
Harry had sensed Remus' agitation.
"How could you sack Dumbledore, Harry?" Remus asked in disapproval.
"Well, as Lord of House Gryffindor and Slytherin I have 100% ownership of Hogwarts due to the property laws of that time," Harry replied, angering Remus with his intentional misunderstanding and amusing Nymphadora.
"That's not what I meant!" Remus said in irritation. "How could you remove someone who has done so much for our world from a position key to his power?"
"Because he has many positions and he manages none of them well. Hogwarts was a joke, a shit hole, and Albus freaking Dumbledore had run the school into mediocrity. He deserved to be sacked on the grounds of incompetence and with what I have on him he is lucky not to be in Azkaban... remind him of that next time you see that meddlesome old man. I used facts and evidence to justify Dumbledore's removal and only the more obtuse of his vapid fans are still angry about his dismissal. Incompetence should not be rewarded or tolerated and sabotaging the education of hundreds of students is unforgivable. Were it not for self-study then the situation would be worse and the fact that such self-study was actually required is even worse."
"Running a school is difficult!" Remus argued, but he was only guessing.
"Yes, especially when you're helping run both Britain's government and the ICW at the same damn time. His capabilities as Headmaster were still lacking even when he wasn't doing all of that. He isn't being reinstated no matter how much you annoy me with your weak arguments and vapid fanboy bias." Harry said and Nymphadora smiled at the insult.
"Has Malfoy been suggesting things to you?" Remus asked coldly.
"Yup," Harry replied.
"It was his idea to remove Dumbledore?"
"It was a shared idea, but he lacked the ability and the resources to make it happen and he wasn't using the right arguments or the right tone. So no cheapening my great victory." Harry replied, angering Remus. "If you weren't so biased towards Dumbledore you could truly appreciate the genius of my plans. And I'm not even done yet!"
"Lily and James would be ashamed of you!" Remus spat, fed up with Harry's attitude.
Andromeda, Ted, and Nymphadora were shocked, but Harry halted Sirius' remark.
"Would they, now? You never even wrote a letter to me, their son, when I was back in the Wizarding World, and you never checked up on me either, I'm betting. Dumbledore put me into an abusive home where I was treated like a slave and an animal... I was beaten, denied enough food, and forced to do work at age three that pre-teens would struggle with... And somehow I'm not a raging mass-murdering psycho like Voldemort is. A miracle to be sure." Harry said coldly.
"But you? A whiny coward who bitches and moans about his poor job prospects in the magical world and refuses to go into the Muggle world or accept gifts from people who care about you. You are your own worst enemy and self-sabotaging." Remus moved to speak, but Harry cut him off. "I know, I know. You're scary once a month, but so are most women and they handle it better and with far more dignity while bleeding out of their vagina." Nymphadora, Andromeda, Ted, and Sirius chuckled.
"I don't think my parents would be ashamed of me. I think that they would reject you if they were here. You're condemning their child for removing an incompetent power-mongering old man who sentenced their child to ten years of abuse from a position that he bungled; while using cold hard facts and evidence. I'm making the world a better place and improving Hogwarts in a meaningful way. But you? You're the same mewling nothing that you always were. Complaining about how unfair your life is while being able to improve it and defending an old man who only suffered the consequences of his own actions."
"You're pathetic," Harry spat, his green eyes briefly glowing. "Now get the hell out of my house, you twit."
Remus looked down and left, already regretting his words.
"I can't say that I disagree with your words, Harry," Sirius said sadly. "I'm sad to lose another friend though."
"He might come crawling back," Harry suggested.
"I'm not sure that I want him too," Sirius replied.
"You're really good at insulting people, Harry," Nymphadora said. "You ripped him to shreds!"
"Thanks, Nymphadora," Harry replied, annoying her by using her name.
"Indeed," Andromeda agreed. "You thoroughly dismantled his arguments. You still aren't done with ruining Dumbledore?"
"Nope. I still have one more plan and a minor subplan. I won't be spoiling the surprise, but it will be revealed at the next Wizengamot meeting." Andromeda looked intrigued and she decided to listen on the wireless.
