A year after the Dimensional War and the revival of Zarc, and everything in Paradise City had seemed to die down. Until one day a mysterious group called the Arbiters came and invaded the Pendulum Dimension to capture Declan Akaba and Yuya Sakaki. It's now up to Yuya and his friends to travel to this unknown dimension in search for the answers to their questions.

5. Actors Vs Avians

It was very early in Paradise City, with the sun only halfway up in the sky. Declan and the Lancers were standing in the room where the Interdimensional Travel Transporter was waiting to be powered on. Today was an important day because it's the day, since Yuya and Zuzu will depart for the Link Dimension, while the other Lancers secretly will depart to the other three to train for when they depart.

"Looks like this is it, huh, Zuzu?" Yuya said.

"I guess so, but we're going to do everything we can to find Declan's father and find out whoever sent those guys to our dimension." Zuzu replied.

"And don't worry guys, me and the others will keep an eye on everything and make sure to handle those guys if they try to come back again." Sora stated.

"That's right! You guys have nothing to worry about, since we have the great Sylvio!" Sylvio exclaimed.

"The only thing you're great at is having one big head." Gong told Sylvio which made him angry while everyone else laughed.

"If you guys are ready saying goodbye to one another the transporter is up and ready to go." A voice revealing it to be Declan's.

"Alright Declan, thanks," Yuya said. "Let's go Zuzu and don't worry everyone, we'll be back in one piece with Declan's father before you know it." Everyone nodded back in response.

Yuya and Zuzu, along with Declan, walked up some stairs to where the Interdimensional Travel Transporter powered on.

"Once the both of you are inside the transporter, we'll upload the last coordinates of my father's location just before we disappeared." Declan stated. "Not only that but I've uploaded your duel disks so just in case we lose your signal, a backup program will initiate, and we'll be able to track your signal once again." Declan added.

"Thanks Declan, anything else we should know about?" Yuya asked.

"Yes, and this is critical," Declan mentioned. "After watching your opponent and your last duel use a program to create a Monster Zone suited for Extra Deck Monsters which causes a dent in our Pendulum strategies, we copied his program and modified it to suit us. Declan stated.

"So now when you duel in the Link Dimension, and they try to use that exact program, our program counters theirs, so you can Pendulum Summon as many monsters from your Extra Deck.

"Awesome!" Yuya said in excitement. "Now we won't have to worry about them countering our strategies, since we'll be countering theirs."

"Declan this is remarkable! How can we ever repay you?" Zuzu asked.

"Just return my father to me and my family and find out more about this unknown enemy." Declan replied.

"You got it." Zuzu said as she and Yuya entered the transporter, while Declan's team input the coordinates into the system, he and the rest of the Lancers watched from afar.

"Coordinates set, and the transporter is all ready to go Mr. Akaba." said one of the LDS's scientists.

"Perfect! Now, it's time to depart," Reiji said, as one of his employees pressed a button causing blue light to fill the transporter and encase Yuya and Zuzu.

Yuya and Zuzu booth looked at each other before they were transported. Let's get Leo back and make Declan proud Zuzu." Yuya told Zuzu.

"Don't forget about taking down this new and mysterious enemy as well. Zuzu added.

When the light faded, Yuya and Zuzu were gone.

"Well, they're gone, guess that means we wait until they return or get any updates from them. Dennis said.

"Or maybe you, Gong, and Sylvio will like to train with Shay, Crow, and Sora to hone your skills for when it's your time to depart to the Link Dimension. Declan stated.

"What!?" "How do you know about that?" Sylvio said in shocked

"He found out because I told him." said a mysterious figure revealing it to be Moon Shadow as he revealed himself from the shadows.

"After hearing Yuya's proposal on having him traveling to the Link Dimension along with Zuzu due to her dueling skills improving over the last year, he had a feeling that after watching the duel you guys would get stronger."

"So he had you watch over both the duel and us to see if it would happen?" Gong asked.

"Correct, once I informed him that you guys wanted to expand your dueling skills by learning from experts, he made something special for you guys."

"He did? What is it?" Dennis asked.

"Follow us, and we'll show you." Moon Shadow replied.

Declan and Moon Shadow lead the Lancers to a room underneath the Lab. Once Declan opened the door the room revealed to contain the Interdimensional Corridor, but not just one of them, there were three.

"Wait, I thought there was only one Dimensional Corridor?" Shay said, confused.

"There was, but after learning from Moon Shadow you were going to travel to separate dimensions to hone your dueling skills, my team and I used our technology in order to separate the Interdimensional Corridor into three.

"So this way we don't have to wait for the transporter to recharge, to travel to one of the dimensions. Crow mentioned.

"Correct Crow," Declan replied. "The first one leads to Fusion, the second one leads to Synchro, and the third one leads to Xyz. Are all of you ready to depart and start your training?" Declan asked everyone.

"You know I am!" Sylvio exclaimed. "After I learn how to Synchro Summon, those Link Dimension duds, won't know what hit them."

"Easy Sylvio, don't get too excited, or you'll pop a blood vessel. Crow said.

"Remember, this isn't about looking great, it's about strengthening our skills, so we can defend ourselves against the enemy and defeat them." Gong said.

"Gongster's right, we have to become stronger no matter what to help Yuya and Zuzu, and rescue Declan's father." Dennis added.

"Yeah, so let's get working, so we can kick some Arbiter butt!" Sora stated.

"You took the words right out of my mouth Sora." Shay said.

The six of them then split up into pairs as they stood on 3 different platforms of each of the Corridor's Dimension.

"I know that the three of you will bring out the best of their abilities."

"Don't worry Declan we won't let you down." Sora replied.

"Trust us, next time you see them duel, you'll be amazed by their new skills." Crow added.

"Unless, they aren't able to handle it and quit before we're halfway finished." Shay states causing everyone to look at him.

They all then enter their respective dimension's portal as they traveled to become even better and stronger duelists.

A portal then appeared which Crow and Sylvio exited out from it as they were now in the near Crow's home within Common's area of New Domino City with the only difference being it was more modern. The two of them walked into the house as they were greeted by Shinji and the three kids Tarren, Amanda, and Frank.

"Crow!" The four of them shouted in joy.

"Hey everyone!" Crow replied in joy as well. "Ahh, it's good to be back home." Crow stated.

About a year ago, Crow's home had been renovated and improved. Now it had separate rooms for Crow, Shinji and the three children who they raised, a roof that now hosted solar panels for power, and an extra bathroom. Due to the divide between Commons and Tops being torn down, many homes in what once were the slums of the metropolis had turned into suburban areas. Money had also been distributed more evenly, allowing for the citizens more clothing and formal education. The once classist, barbaric society had moved on from its 'Duel to survive' ways, and was truly one.

"So where have you been Crow?" Tanner asked. "We thought when you didn't come back home last night something bad happened."

"Tanner's right, and not to be rude what's Sylvio doing here?" Frank asked.

"Well first off, Tarren your right something did happen." Crow stated.

"You see during my duel with Yuya, it got interrupted by a group of people called the Arbiters who come from a dimension that Declan's father Leo has recently discovered known as the Link Dimension."

"What!?" The three kids along with Shinji said in shock.

"I know it's hard to believe that there's another dimension, but it's true." Crow mentioned.

"Not only that, but during Yuya's duel with one of the invaders these use a new summoning mechanic known as Link Summoning."

"And they also use some program which creates two new zones called the Extra Monster Zones which limits Pendulum Summoning."

"That sounds really unfair for them to do that. Amanda declared.

Tanner and Frank nodded in agreement to Amanda's statement.

"And to answer your question on why I'm here Frank, I want Crow to teach me Synchro Summoning so when we depart for the Link Dimension, I'll be strong enough to take out those jerks!" Sylvio stated in anger.

"Whoa calm down, or else you're going to cause the roof to collapse." Shinji stated.

"So where's Yuya, Zuzu, and the others at?" Tanner asked Crow and Sylvio.

"Yuya and Zuzu decided to travel to the Link Dimension before us due to them having more experience with dimensional travel and wanting to give us more time to strengthen our skills." Sylvio replied.

"And the others are in the other two dimensions also honing their skills, with Gong and Sora being in Fusion, and Shay and Dennis in Xyz." Crow added.

"So they're also working to become strong," Shinji said. "So when are you planning to teach Sylvio Synchro Summoning?" Shinji asked.

"Yeah Crow? I've been wondering the same thing" Sylvio added.

"Don't worry Sylvio, we'll start our training soon, but meanwhile I want to and visit Jack. You guys know where he is?" Crow asked.

"He's at the Duel Palace having a duel against Chojiro." Frank mentioned.

"Thanks Frank! As a reward, you get extra dessert tonight. Crow told him, which caused Frank to jump with joy while the other two kids got upset.

"Come on Sylvio!" Crow said as he and Sylvio got out of their seats and headed straight to the Duel Place on Crow's Duel Runner.

At the Duel Palace Jack and Chojiro were in the middle of a turbo duel

"It's a wonderful day in the Duel Palace as we watch the duel between our star Jack Atlas going against our old star Hero Chojiro for a duel I'm sure you don't want to miss!" Melissa announced.

The audience now mixed with the Commons and Topsiders cheered in excitement as they heard Melissa's announcement and watched the duel between Jack and Chojiro going on.

Chojiro looked and gave Jack a cocky smile. Looks like today your winning streak will finally end, Mr. Atlas."

"Feeling confident much? Just because things look bleak on my end doesn't mean I'll lose in the end. As always I'll find a way to turn things around and end this duel in my victory!" Jack declared.

"ENJOY! BATTLE! Lightflare, attack Scarlight with Shower Sword Strike!" Chojiro shouted as he pointed at the dark red dragon.

"If this attack hits, Jack will be defeated!" Melissa stated.

"Sorry, but this duel will be ending on my terms, not yours!" Jack declared. "I activate the Trap Card Red Booster!' Jack's face-down which depicted an image of Red Wyvern getting power from other "Red" Monsters.

"When a "Red" monster I control gets attacked by a monster with higher attack points, I can banish a "Red" monster like Red Wyvern from my graveyard to give half of its attack points to Scarlight Red!" Jack declared as he banished Red Wyvern and increased Scarlight's points by half of its ATK.

Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend (ATK: 3000→4200)

"My Enjoy Dueling won't be stopped! At this moment, Lightflare's effect activates! When my opponent activates the effect of a Spell or Trap Card, that card's negated, and it is destroyed!"

"No it's not! By sending Red Jammer from my hand to my graveyard, I can negate your monster's effect and destroy it and since I control a "Red" Synchro monster you also take damage equal to your Monster's ATK!"

Chojiro spotted an Action Card high in the air. He jumped off his Duel Runner and quickly grabbed the Action Card as he landed back on his Runner.

"I activate the Action Spell Mirror Barrier which projects Lightflare from being destroyed by card effects!" Chojiro explained as a sparkling blue barrier appeared around Lightflare

"Go, Lightflare!" The warrior shot a cyan colored blast from his sword at the dark red dragon.

"Chojiro won!" A Topsider exclaimed.

"Actually he didn't! Since I targeted a "Red" Synchro Monster, Red Booster protects it from being destroyed this turn!" Jack explained as a red barrier formed around Scarlight saving it from destruction.

"But you still take damage!" Chojiro shouted.

Jack: 900 LP

"Should've expected you to pull a move like that, but it doesn't matter cause once you draw your card, Lightshower's effect will kick in dealing you 1500 points and damage, and you'll lose the duel!. I place one card face-down and my turn!' Chojiro stated as a face-down card appeared onto his field.

"My turn." Jack shouted as he drew his card.

"At this moment, Lightshower's effect activates! Now you take 1500 points of damage!" Chojiro shouted as his monster reattached the top of his umbrella and began to spin it, causing little yellow cards to fly outwards at the old Duel King.

"Shield Resonator's effect activates! I can special summon this card when I would take effect damage and reduce the to 0!" Jack shouted as a demon clad in red appeared with a large shield and blocked the attack.

"And since I control a Synchro Monster when I use his effect, I can summon a Tuner from my graveyard whose ATK is equal or less to the damage I would've taken. Return to the field Barrier Resonator!"

A portal appeared on Jack's field, out of which emerged a small, demonic Monster with a battery-shaped device attached to its back and landed next to his other two Monsters.

"Two Tuner Monsters…?" Chojiro seemed confused. Are you planning what I think you're planning?"

"Yes, I am!" Jack announced as he rode his D-Wheel up the track and accelerated with full force. Bear witness the full power of my dueling! Using the Level 8 Scarlight with the Level 1 Shield and Barrier Resonator, I perform a Double Tuning!"

As Scarlight turned into eight stars while Shield and Barrier Resonator and Attack Gainer turned into two circles of flame surrounding them, Jack chanted as his D-Wheel jumped off the wall.

"Ruler and devil, become one! Call upon the soul of the Crimson Dragon and roar for creation itself! Synchro Summon! Come forth, Level 10! Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend (ATK:3500/DEF:3000/LV: 10)!"

A crimson and black dragon with demonic features, which had two sets of wings growing from its back and several scar-shaped marks engraved throughout its body, appeared on Jack's field, letting out a resonant howl that shook everything.

"Jack has summoned his evolved ace! With it out he might stand a chance of winning this duel!" Melissa announced.

"I activate Tyrant's effect! Once per turn during my Main Phase, I can destroy all cards on the field apart from itself! Take this! Absolute Power Inferno!"

"You're not getting rid of my cards that easy!" Chojiro exclaimed. "I activate the Trap Turning the Tides!" Chojiro's trap revealed two Mahjong players as one of them turned the tide of the match in his favor.

"When you activate a Monster effect, by discarding a "Cardian" Monster I can negate your monster's effect and destroy it, but since I control a Synchro Monster, I don't need to discard a card." Chojiro explained as a bolt of lightning emerged from the trap and headed towards Tyrant.

"Thanks to Tyrant's effect, when you activate a Spell or Trap, Tyrant can cancel it out and gain 500 ATK!" Tyrant's first became engulfed in fire and then punch the trap, destroying while increasing its ATK. (4000-4500)

"Now my Tyrant's effect continues which means all your monsters will leave the field, leaving you completely defenseless!" Tyrant's formed a flame in its right-hand once again and then crushed the ground with it, unleashing a burning fiery flame wave that destroyed all other cards.

"With you monsters out of the way, you're wide open for a Direct Attack!" Jack declared. "Go! Tyrant! Reduce his life points to zero and end this duel! Inferno Crimson Tide!" As Jack ordered, the Red dragon's body was surrounded by crimson flames, and then the dragon blasted a hot burning flame from its mouth towards Chojiro.

Chojiro then spotted an Action Card in front of him as he sped up towards it and grabbed it.

"I activate the Action Spell Reflect!" "When you attack me directly, not only does it negate your monster's attack, but you take damage equal to half its ATK, and since you've already used Tyrant's effect you can't stop this!" Chojiro stated as a barrier formed around him which reflected Jack's attack right back at him.

"Nice move, but I like mine better!" Jack shouted. "I activate Red Jammer's effect from my graveyard! When you activate a Spell, Trap, or Monster effect while I control a "Red" monster, I can banish it from my graveyard to put a stop to your card's effect and destroy it!" Jammer appeared on Jack's field as it released ultrasonic waves which disrupted Chojiro's spell and destroyed it.

"Not only that, but since I controlled a Synchro Monster when I used this effect you can't use any cards whose type is the same as the card I negated, meaning you can no longer use any Action Cards!" Jack explained shocking Chojiro.

"Now, Tyrant attack Chojiro directly with Inferno Crimson Tide!" Jack ordered Tyrant once again, the Red dragon's body was surrounded by crimson flames, and then the dragon blasted a hot burning flame from its mouth towards Chojiro engulfing him in flames as his life points became zero.

Chojiro's D-Wheel let out steam as it came to a stop while Jack raced by.

"AND IT'S OVER! Jack has defeated Chojiro and won the duel!" Melissa shouted as the crowd roared in excitement.

"Great job!" Chojiro said as he walked up to Jack.

"Thanks." Jack said before getting off his D-Wheel. "You really did expand your skills for this duel and I have to say I'm impressed.

"He's not the only one to be impressed." Said a familiar voice which caused Jack and Chojiro to turn around and saw it was Crow and Sylvio.

"Crow and Sylvio!" Jack said, all excited.

"What are the two of you doing here?" Chojiro asked. "Didn't you leave to watch Sylvio's duel between Yuya in the Pendulum Dimension?"

"How about we discuss this back at my place?" Crow asked.

After celebrating Jack's victory, he, Chojiro, Crow, and Sylvio headed back to Crow's home to talk about what happened when he was in the Pendulum Dimension.

"No way!" Jack said all surprised "There's really another dimension and a new summoning method?"

"Yes, the guys who attacked us called themselves the Arbiters who work some mysterious figure that maybe kidnapped Declan's father who Yuya and Zuzu are trying to find." Crow replied.

"While the rest of us went off to the other dimensions to expand our skills as duelists so when we go we'll be ready." Sylvio added.

"Interesting, I still can't believe there was another Dimension hidden from the rest that Declan and his father didn't know about." Chojiro stated.

"Well believe it or not Chojiro, the important thing is that we have to find out what they're planning, so we can stop it. Crow mentioned.

"I agree with you!" Jack stated as he stood up from his chair. "Come on, Crow! Let's duel, so we warm up ourselves!"

"Hold your roll Mr. Master of Faster!" Sylvio shouted as he stood up. "If anyone's going to be training with Crow it's going to be me! Remember, the reason I'm here cause Crow promised he will teach me Synchro Summoning!"

"Relax Sylvio, there'll be enough time to teach you, just let me have a little spare with Jack, ok?" Crow said.

"I don't recall that being the deal! The deal was that when we got here, you were going to teach me Synchro Summoning and I demand that you teach me right!" Sylvio exclaimed which caused everyone to be silent.

"Fine you want me to teach you Synchro Summoning, I'll teach you." Crow said.

"Finally we're getting somewhere." Sylvio said in response.

"But on one condition." Crow stated which confused Sylvio and everyone else in the room. "I'll teach you Synchro Summoning, only if you can beat me in a Turbo Duel and if you manage to do that, then I'll teach everything above Synchro Summoning like my Phantom Synchro technique for example."

"A Turbo Duel, huh?" Sylvio said amused. "As well as providing more than what you offer, I accept then!"

"So are you planning on having your match in the Duel Palace?" Chojiro asked.

"Better!" Crow stated. "We'll have it on the Duel Lanes of New Domino City, while Melissa Trail broadcasts it at the same time, so everyone can see it."

"Awesome!" Sylvio said, all excited. "It's time for everyone to see Sylvio Sawatari's Entertainment Extravaganza once again!"

"Now hold on Sylvio, there's still one more catch." Crow mentioned which caught Sylvio's attention.

"If you're unable to defeat me, not only will I won't teach you Synchro Summoning, but you can't go to anyone else in the Synchro Dimension to learn Synchro Summoning." Crow started shocking Sylvio.

"What!?" Sylvio said in shock. "But that means I would go to Synchro Course Instructors at LDS, and they're amateurs!"

"Well you should've thought of that before you opened your big fat mouth." Crow replied. "The duel will start at noon tomorrow, so better prepare yourself because I promise I'm not going to be holding back on you." He added as he left and hopped on his Duel Runner to prepare for his duel tomorrow

Sylvio gulped after hearing those words as he also went outside, while at the same time Shinji and the three kids were watching from another room.

"Wow! That took a turn for the worst." Frank said

"No joke, Sylvio stands no chance against Crow when he goes all out." Tanner added.

"He's totally going to get creamed out there!" Amanda stated.

"Now hold on kids, Sylvio has enough time to prepare for the duel, and he's not stupid enough to not come up a strategy to win against Crow." Shinji mentioned.

"Maybe your right Shinji." Frank said. "So let's go see what kind of plan Sylvio's working on for his duel with Crow tomorrow."

"The three of them nodded to Frank's response as they headed up to the roof of Crow's home to see Sylvio work on his strategy.

"Ok so if I make this move here, but Crow may have a counter for that, so maybe this will work, but he might set up a strong defense to that as well. Probably it's best if I… Ahh, there's just no way I can do this! "I'll never beat Crow and learn Synchro Summoning!" Sylvio shouted in disappointment.

"Quit your whining Sylvio! It's ever louder than the crickets." Jack declared as he was standing behind him.

"Sorry if I hurt your ears, but I have to prepare for my match tomorrow!" Sylvio replied. "You wouldn't understand because you've never had to prepare for a duel in your life!"

In a quick action, Jack suddenly punched Sylvio in the face which caused him to tumble towards the ground.

"Oww!" Sylvio cried out in pain. What did you do that for?"

"I did it because you need to relax!" Jack explained his reason. "Just because you feel that your strategy isn't strong enough, doesn't mean it will work. The best thing to hope for is to go out there and give it all you got!"

"And how do you suppose I do that when I'm all worried and nervous?" Sylvio asked as he got up.

"I'll tell you," Jack replied. "By taking everything you know about Crow and use it to your advantage. That way you'll know how to counter his counters and be one step ahead of him on the track."

"You're right," Sylvio stated as he realized what Jack said was true. "I've seen Crow duel more times than he's seen me duel, and he's probably figured out that I was going to come up with a strategy to counter him, so he's creating one to counter mine."

"Exactly, and since now, you know that you'' be prepared for anything he throws at you and win that duel with ease."

"Alright!," Sylvio shouted with joy. "Time to go back to planning my strategy. But wait why are you helping me, aren't you Crow's friend and ally?" Sylvio asked.

"As the Ex-King it was my duty to give all duelists young and old hope they can accomplish any hurdle they encounter and never give up no matter how difficult it is." Jack replied.

"Well thank you, I appreciate it." Sylvio said to Jack as he nodded and went back inside leaving Sylvio to continue to work on his strategy.

"That was nice of Jack to give Sylvio a pep talk for his duel tomorrow." Tanner said.

"Even if he looks scary, he has a kind heart." Amanda added.

"I can't wait to see how Sylvio will perform against Crow!" Frank declared.

"Me, too, kids. Now let's get some sleep." Shinji told them as they also went back inside.

"Good morning, everybody!" Melissa cheered. "The sun's in the horizon, and it's time for a Duel, I'm sure you all don't want to miss!"

The citizens of New Domino City then cheered in response after hearing her announcements.

"Well guys, today is the big day." Shinji said.

"You said it Shinji, let's just see if Sylvio has what it takes to beat Crow." Jack added.

"It can go either way though." Frank said

"I feel like Crow's going to win." Tanner said.

"But there's a chance Sylvio might." Amanda added.

The three kids then started to bicker until Jack and Shinji notified them that the duel was about to start.

"Today, we have a duel between members of the Lancers! New Domino City's own Crow Hogan and Paradise City's own Sylvio Sawatari!"

Both Crow and Sylvio entered the stadium and came behind the starting line.

"From what I've heard, Sylvio asked Crow to teach him Synchro Summoning, and the only that can happen is if he can beat him in a duel! So let's see if he has the skills to do it!"

"I hope you remember that I don't plan on holding back in this duel Sylvio." Crow stated.

"I didn't and just so you know, I don't plan on holding back either as well." Sylvio replied.

"Well I can say, I respect your confidence," Crow told him.

"Ooh, how exciting!" Melissa smiled. "Now just like the second-half of the Friendship Cup last year, the Duel will take place on the highways around the City! We have real-time cameras and Solid Vision viewing screens set up so that none of you will miss any of the action!" She declared as highways emerged from the ocean and connected, forming a network of roads across the New Domino.

"That said! Action Field, on! Crossover Acceleration!" Melissa announced.

"Duel mode, on. Auto-pilot, standby."

Crow and Sylvio both leaned forward in anticipation. The countdown appeared and started. "Alright everyone!" Melissa sounded. "Let's get ready. On your mark. Get set. DUEL!" The timer hit 0 and both duelists shot forward.

"Duel!"

Crow Hogan: 4000 LP

Sylvio Sawatari: 4000 LP

"In this duel, the first one to pass through the Duel Palace gate gets the first move," Melissa stated.

"That's going to be me!" Sylvio declared, pressing hard on the accelerator. Crow grit his teeth and did the same. Crow got ahead of Sylvio, but at the last second Sylvio maxed his speed and passed Crow, shocking him in the process.

The two shot out of the Duel Palace. "The one going first is Sylvio! What's his first move going to be? Let's look forward to an intense and dynamic duel that's more fast-paced than ever before! It's all up to the two of you!" Melissa announced.

"My turn!" He looked at a card in his hand and held it out, "I summon Abyss Actor-Wild Hope (ATK: 1600, DEF: 1200, LV: 4, PS: 2)!" Wild Hope appeared from a portal with his pistol in hand.

"I set a card and end my turn." As he spoke, a set card materialized in front of Sylvio's D-Wheel before disappearing. Crow sped up to get closer to Sylvio, who glanced back at him. You're up! Don't disappoint me!

"I won't! My turn!" Crow drew the top card of his Deck. "First by sending Assault Blackwing-Yamikarasu the Scarecrow to the graveyard, I get to set the Continuous Spell Black Whirlwind from my deck, which I'll then activate!." Crow stated as a set card appeared on his field which then turned face-up which depicted floating shiny black feathers.

"Now each time I Normal Summon a Blackwing", I get to add one from my deck to my hand, so long it has fewer attack points then the one I summoned." Crow explained.

"So you made it easier for you to get Tuners? Very impressive move." Sylvio stated.

"Thanks, but praise will get you nowhere," Crow replied to Sylvio's compliment. "When I control no monsters, I can summon Blackwing-Gust the Backblast! Crow shouted as a humanoid bird-like monster in green along with black wings appeared.

"Next, I release Gust to Tribute Summon Assault Blackwing-Cutlass the Haze!" Crow shouted as a greyish-brown bird with mechanical blue armor appeared.

Since I summoned a Blackwing, I get to add 1 from my deck, as long as it's ATK is lower than 2100." Crow explained, as he swiped a card from his deck. "I add Blackwing.- Kris the Crack of Dawn, and since sacrificed a "Blackwing" monster to summon Cutlass, I can bring that monster back, but as a Tuner!" Crow stated as Gust emerged from a portal onto his field as it was now a Tuner.

"I tune Level 2 Gust the Backblast to Level 5 Cutlass the Haze! Spread your jet-black wings, and storm forth in tandem with the roaring thunder! A slash of lightning! Synchro Summon! Cascade, Level 7! Assault Blackwing-Raikiri the Rain Shower!" Crow shouted as a warrior with purple bird-like armor and a sword along with two wings, one black and one white, appeared.

"Crow summoned his ace on his first turn!" Melissa cheerfully shouted.

"Since I used Cutlass for a Synchro Summon I get to draw one card. Now since I have a Blackwing on my field, I can summon Kris from my hand!" Crow shouted as a large black feathered warrior donning a golden mask and wore a red vest let out a large caw.

Blackwing-Kris the Crack of Dawn: ATK 1900 DEF 300 LVL 4

I activate Raikiri's effect! Once per turn, I can destroy cards on my opponent's field up to the amount of Blackwings on my field! Say goodbye to your Wild Hope and your face-down!" Crow shouted as his warrior swung his sword creating an energy slash towards Sylvio's field.

"If this move connects, Crow can attack directly and win!" Frank stated.

"Sylvio then spotted an Action Card on the left side of the track, and he drove over to it and picked it up. "I activate the Action Spell, Illusion Barrier! Now my cards can't be destroyed by effects this turn!" Sylvio declared as two barriers formed around his cards, protecting them from destruction.

Crow frowned. "Well, that's a bummer. Still, that won't slow me down for long! Battle! Raikiri attacks Wild Hope!" "Lightning Cutter!" Raikiri's sword glowed with blue light, which it then released in a blast at Sylvio's monster, destroying it and making him wince.

Sylvio: 4000→3000 LP

After the blast made him stumble back a bit, Sylvio looked back at Crow, "Wild Hope's effect activates! When it's destroyed by battle, I can add an "Abyss Actor" card from my Deck to my hand! I add Abyss Actor-Funky Comedian to my hand!" He added a card to his hand and then revealed it Crow.

"My Battle Phase isn't over!" Crow reminded him. "Kris attacks you directly!" The bird then flew towards Sylvio ready to strike him.

"I don't think so!" Sylvio declared as he spotted an Action Card in front of him and picked it up. "I activate the Action Spell, Block Draw! This not only negates your attack, but it also allows me to draw a card!" He explained as a barrier shielded him from Kris's attack, and he drew a card afterwards.

"Thanks to Sylvio's quick thinking he survived this turn! The question is, can he keep it up?" Melissa stated and asked.

"Hahaha! It appears that you won't be defeating me this turn after all!" Sylvio shouted.

"I didn't expect you to go down that easily, Sylvio. I set one card facedown, turn end." Crow concluded.

Sylvio smiled as he placed his fingers on his deck, "My turn!" After drawing the card, he immediately showed it from his hand, With Scale 2 Abyss Actor-Leading Lady and Scale 8 Abyss Actor-Funky Comedian, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

Two pillars of light appeared on his field. One contained a cute green-haired girl in a dress and hat wielding a cane-whip. The other contained a fat yellow four-armed fiend in a red vest. A stylized "2" and "8" appeared beneath them.

"Before I call my cast in, I activate the Trap Card: Abyss Actors Backstage!" Sylvio shouted as a trap flipped face-up. "Since I have two "Abyss Actor" cards in my Pendulum Zones, I add two "Abyss Actor" Pendulum Monsters with different names from my Deck to my Extra Deck face-up! I chose the Level 7 Superstar and Eccentric Composer." He announced as he placed both from his deck before placing them both in his Extra Deck.

"Now, I'm able to summon Level 3 to 7 monsters simultaneously!" Sylvio pointed up into the air as he chanted, "Entertainers of the underworld! Take the stage upon the grand light inside the abyss! Pendulum Summon!" Purple lightning appeared from the portal before three lights emerged from them and morphed into monsters. "From the Extra Deck, Abyss Actor-Wild Hope (ATK: 1600), Abyss Actor-Eccentric Composer (ATK: 2200, DEF: 2500, LV: 7, PS: 8) and Abyss Actor-Superstar (ATK: 2500, DEF: 1800, LV: 7, PS: 3)!"

All three monsters appeared on Sylvio's field with two of them being Wild Hope and Superstar, while the other being a fiendish adult male appeared that had white hair covering his left green eye while wearing a blue suit, purple boots and white gloves. He was carrying a composer baton in his hands while having a crazed look on his face.

"There it is everybody, Sylvio Sawatari's Pendulum Summon! Let's see what other tricks he's got up his sleeves." Melissa cheerfully announced.

"How about I show you? To start with, I activate the Magic Card: Abyss Script-Opening Ceremony! I gain 500 LP for every "Abyss Actor" monster on my field!" He had Superstar, Eccentric Composer and Wild Hope all glowing on the field before he was showered with confetti in the air.

Sylvio LP: 3000→4500

Sylvio turned to his monsters as he smirked, "Then, Eccentric Composer's monster effect! For every Abyss Script" in my Graveyard, your monsters lose 100 ATK!" He then took a card out of his deck, "And since I activated an "Abyss Script" Magic, once per turn, I can add a Level 4 or lower "Abyss Actor"" from my Deck, like Abyss Actor Cupid Lover!" He added a monster to his hand as Eccentric Composer wrote some notes on a piece of paper, creating an effect that sapped the Blackwing's strength.

Sylvio then pointed at his monster, "I activate Superstar's effect, and add Abyss Script-Rise of the Abyss King to my hand which I'll then activate! For every "Abyss Actor" on my field in Attack Position, I can target and destroy face-up cards on my opponent's field!" The card flipped face-up as Big Star read through the script pages."And since I control the Level Superstar, you can't activate cards or effects responding to this!"

"Now I can't use Kris's effect to save him from destruction." Crow said annoyed.

"Bingo!" Sylvio shouted as Superstar unleashed a purple blast from his hands that connected with Raikiri, Kris, and Black Whirlwind, destroying them.

"How do you like that?!" Sylvio shouted with a proud smirk on his face, "While I could use Comedian's Pendulum Ability to increase either Star's or Composer's ATK to end this right away, but where's the fun in that? Wild Hope attacks you directly!" Hope aimed his gun at Crow and released a glowing bullet.

"Ghibli to the rescue!" Crow declared as the 6 winged blackbird emerged onto the field defending Miles from the assault.

Blackwing-Ghibli the Searing Wind (0/1600) *3 DARK

"What the?" Sylvio wondered.

"Ghibli gets summoned to the field whenever I'm attacked directly, thus shielding me from your attack."

"Doesn't mean I'm done attacking! Eccentric Composer attacks Ghibli!" Sylvio shouted as Composer pointed his baton at the bird and blasted it with purple lightning.

"Sorry but I play a trap card, Black Sonic!" Crow called. "When you attack a Blackwing this banishes all your monsters." Crow revealed.

Sylvio then panicked, until he spotted an Action Card and sped up towards to grab it. "I activate the Action Spell, Trap Eraser! This card negates and destroys your Trap, but instead of going to your graveyard, it's shuffled back into your deck!"

The trap then turned black as it burst into particles and shuffled itself back into Crow's Deck, while at the same time Composer destroyed Ghibli.

"Now you're wide open!" Sylvio shouted. "Superstar, attack Crow directly with Spectacular Star Shower!" Superstar reached inside one of its sleeves, pulling from seemingly nowhere a strange black cube. Tossing it into the air and snapping his fingers, Superstar made the cube release what seemed to be a blizzard of falling stars, heading straight for Crow.

Crow then spotted an Action Card on his right and drove towards it to pick it up. "I activate the Action Spell, Half Out, which cuts the damage I take in half!" He declared as he got it by Superstar's attack and took lesser damage.

Crow LP: 4000→2750

"You're only just delaying your defeat. I set two cards face-down, and end my turn! Sylvio shouted as his two set cards materialized.

"Looks like Sylvio's doing better than I thought." Shinji said.

"Yeah! He's been countering Crow's moves left to right." Amanda added.

"Maybe Sylvio does have a chance to win." Tanner also added.

"The duel's still early, so it can go either way. What do you think Jack?" Frank asked as he noticed that Jack was just focusing on the duel.

"Since we've reached the End Phase, I can use Yamikarasu's effect from my graveyard to banish it to reset Black Whirlwind since it was destroyed this turn." Crow said as he took the card from his graveyard and placed it face-down.

"But since I used this effect the next time Whirlwind leaves the field it gets banished instead of going to the graveyard."

"Well you better hope that I don't destroy it again." Sylvio retorted.

"I won't! My turn!" Crow shouted as he drew. "First I activate Black Whirlwind once again!" Crow shouted as he played the familiar Spell. "Next, I'm bringing out Assault Blackwing-Williwaw the Quickblast! A white and brown colored bird with black feathers and orange feet appeared on Crow's field.

"Don't forget, Composer's effect weakens your monster by 200 since I have two "Abyss Script's" in my graveyard." Sylvio mentioned.

Williwaw (ATK 1600→1400)

"If I control no other monsters when he's summoned, I get to summon a level 4 or lower Assault Blackwing from my deck. Appear, Assault Blackwing-Onyxia the Razorwinds!" A red and purple feathered bird with blue wings appeared next to Williwaw.

Onyxia ATK 0 DEF 0 LVL: 4

"Since your monster has 0 ATK, Composer's effect doesn't affect it." Sylvio stated.

"Plus, thanks to Black Whirlwind, I get to add Kalut the Moon Shadow to my hand. Now I activate Onyxia's effect to make it the same level as Kris in my graveyard." Crow stated as his monster's level changed from 1 to 4.

Onyxia (LVL: 1→4)

"I now tune the Level 4 Onyxia with the Level 3 Williwaw!" His monsters turned into four rings that encircled three stars. Light surged through the rings. "Jet-black wings, spread to the edge of the world! Become the master of the gathering storm! Synchro Summon! Appear, Level 7! Blackwing Tamer–Obsidian Hawk Joe!" A man with black feathered wings, red feathers attached to his head and right shoulder, and gold armor covering his left shoulder and arm, emerged from the light in Attack Position.

Blackwing Tamer–Obsidian Hawk Joe ATK 2600 DEF 2000 LVL: 7

"Another ace monster? That's so cool!" Tanner said with excitement.

"Can't wait to see what it does." Amanda added.

"Composer's effect reduces your monster's ATK by 200!" Sylvio stated.

Hawk Joe (ATK 2600-2400)

"That won't stop me! Obsidian Hawk Joe's effect activates! Once per turn, I can Special Summon a Level 5 or higher Winged Beast Monster from my Graveyard."

"What?" Sylvio gasped.

"Resurrect, Raikiri the Rain Shower!" The purple-armored birdman with a large katana reappeared in Attack Position.

"I follow that up by playing Monster Reborn to resurrect Cutlass from my graveyard!" Crow explained as a portal appeared and emerging from it was Cutlass.

"Composer's effect activates again, reducing your monster's points!" Sylvio declared.

"But, I will activate Raikiri's effect! Since I control 3 Blackwing monsters, 3 cards on your field get destroyed! I could get rid of all your monsters, but you'll just summon them back with your Pendulum Scale. So say goodbye to your Eccentric Composer and your Pendulum Scale!" Crow shouted as Sylvio's Pendulum Monster and Scale got destroyed by Raikiri.

"Without Composer, my monsters ATK return to normal now." Crow said as his monster's ATK rose.

Raikiri (ATK:2400→2600)

"With Eccentric Composer and his Pendulum Scale gone, Sylvio's in deep trouble!" Melissa said. "If Crow attacks with his monsters, Sylvio will lose! Will we witness a victory sooner than we thought?"

"Sorry, but no!" Sylvio smirked and gestured to his field. "I activate the Trap Card Abyss Actor's Tragedy Performance!" He declared as the card depicted an image of Sassy Rookie falling off the stage into the crowd. "When an Abyss Actor I control is destroyed by battle or an effect; this card lets me special summon 2 level 4 or lower "Abyss Actor" monsters with different names from my deck with their effects negated. Furthermore, when they're destroyed, they get banished instead of going to the Extra Deck. Appear on stage Abyss Actors Heinous Villain and Prop Maker!"

Two monsters then appeared on Sylvio's field in defense mode. Heinous Villain was in a black tuxedo, which had a white mask on its face with a Glasgow smile engraved on it holding two daggers. Prop Maker was a young boy who had light blue skin, short blonde hair and red eyes that was wearing casual clothes while holding what seemed to be art supplies.

Heinous Villain (ATK:1700/DEF:1300/LV:4/SC:3)

Prop Maker (ATK:100/DEF:100/LV:1/PS:4)

"Not a bad move bringing out more monsters to replace the ones you lost, but that doesn't mean I'm done. Battle! Cutlass attacks your Wild Hope!" Cutlass launched a steady stream of silver blades at Wild Hope, but at the same time, Sylvio noticed and picked up an Action Card.

"I activate the Action Spell Battle Change! Through its effect, I will change the attack target from Hope to my Villain!"

The stream of silver blades abruptly changed its course and started heading towards Heinous Villain, destroying it in the process.

"Plus, Heinous Villain's sacrifice wasn't in vain for one additional reason. When it's destroyed, I can destroy one card on your field. What I choose to destroy is—your Obsidian Hawk Joe!"

"Not a bad move. If he can get rid of Joe, then Crow won't be able to revive his monsters." Shinji said.

Following Sylvio's words, several daggers appeared around the field, which then headed straight towards Joe.

"If Crow loses that monster, then Sylvio will survive the turn," Melissa noted.

"Ha! With this, I'll beat you next turn!"

"Are you sure about that?"

Sylvio gasped as he realized Crow was smirking. "Obsidian Hawk Joe's effect activates! If it is the target of your effect or attack, I can change that target to another 'Blackwing' monster I control!"

Sylvio's eyes widened. "What?"

"I will change your target to Cutlass." Said monster disintegrated at Crow's words.

"Sylvio attempted to destroy Obsidian Hawk Joe, but Crow redirected it." Frank said.

"Looks like Crow's now ahead." Tanner added.

"Now to continue my assault, Hawk Joe attacks your Wild Hope with Assault Claw!" The red, black, and golden man launched a burst of energy from his clawed right hand towards the fiendish cowboy.

"Battle Change is still in effect, so its attack gets redirected to Prop Maker!" Sylvio declared as Joe's attack got redirected towards Prop Maker, destroying it in the process.

"Just like Villain, Prop Maker also has an effect when it gets destroyed. I'm allowed to add a "Abyss Prop" card from my deck to my hand, and the one I choose is Abyss Prop-Wild Wagon!" Sylvio stated as he took a card from his deck and added it to his hand.

"You may get another card, but I still have another attack. Go Raikiri, attack Wild Hope with Lightning Cutter!"

"I won't let you!" Sylvio shouted as he leaned to the side and to get an Action Card, but Hawk Joe lashed its rope, stealing it from Sylvio and handing it to Crow.

"Curse you, Hogan! Sylvio said angrily while at the same time his monster got destroyed and took damage.

Sylvio: 4500→3500 LP

"Wild Hope's effect activates! Since he was destroyed, I can add Abyss Actor-Mellow Madonna from my Deck to my hand!" He stated as he added the card to his hand.

"It looks like Crow's onslaught is over which gives Sylvio the chance to counter back!" Melissa announced.

"Afraid not!" Crow declared. "I activate the Action Spell Gravity Turn! Since Raikiri destroyed your monster, not only does he gain 100 ATK, but he gets to attack again!" Crow stated as Raikiri's ATK increased.

Raikiri (ATK: 2600→2700)

"And this effect will keep repeating each time he destroys your monster."

"What!?" Sylvio said in shock.

"If Raikiri attacks and destroys Superstar, he'll be able to attack Sylvio directly and deal massive damage." Amanda said.

"Sylvio's really stuck in a bind now." Shinji added.

"Go Raikiri! Attack Superstar with Lightning Cutter!" Crow declared as his monster's blade ignited in electricity. The warrior flew forwards and slashed its electric sword through Superstar destroying it and making Sylvio wince with pain.

Sylvio: 3500→3300 LP

"Gravity Turn's effect kicks in, giving Raikiri an additional 100 ATK." Crow explained as Raikiri's ATK increased again.

Raikiri (ATK: 2700→2800)

"But I'm not stopping there! By sending Kalut the Moon Shadow to the graveyard, I can increase Raikiri's ATK by 1400!"

Raikiri (ATK: 2800→4200)

"Sylvio now has zero monsters on his field and Crow has powered up his monster twice!" Melissa announced. "If Crow's next attack succeeds, not only will Sylvio lose the duel, but he loses the chance of also learning Synchro Summoning from one of New Domino City's best duelists!"

"Come on Sylvio! You can't lose!" A common from the audience shouted

"You put on a splendid duel for us during the Friendship Cup, and we know you can do it again!" A Topsider declared from the audience.

"Looks like Sylvio has a few fans who really don't want to see him lose! Let's see if he can pull through and make their wishes come true." Melissa shouted with enthusiasm.

"You fought well Sylvio, but not enough. It's time to end this! Raikiri, attack Sylvio directly and end this duel! Lightning Cutter!" Raikiri's sword glowed with blue light, as it collided with Sylvio, causing a big explosion.

The first to race out of the smoke was Crow, who was now racing head unlike before. Sylvio however was still hidden in the smoke.

"Is it over…?!" Melissa's voice echoed throughout the entire stadium as everyone watching looked at the dissipating smoke.

"Don't worry everybody, I'm still in this!" Sylvio shouted as he exited out of the smoke with a smile on his face.

"What?!" Crow shouted in disbelief. "How did you survive?"

"Before your attack connected, I activated the Abyss Recovery Trap Card. The card showed Superstar lying in a hospital bed in a full-body cast.

"Since I controlled no monsters, I can add an 'Abyss Actor' Pendulum Monster from my Extra Deck to my hand and gain Life Points equal to its Level times 200. I returned Superstar to my hand to gain 1400 Life Points! That gave me enough to survive your attack!"

Sylvio: 3300→4700→500 LP

"Thanks to his quick thinking. Sylvio escaped defeat and now has a chance to turn things around and win!" Melissa announced which caused Sylvio's fans to cheer in response.

"Hate to say it, but I'm impressed. I didn't expect you to pull that move Sylvio. That just makes it more fun to beat you! I play the Spell Synchro Treasure!" Crow continued. The card showed a briefcase that contained numerous Synchro Monster cards.

"This lets me draw a card for each Synchro Monster on the field, but I cannot add cards from my Deck to my hand for the rest of the turn. There are two Synchro Monsters, so I draw two cards." Crow placed his hand on his deck as he drew his two cards.

"I'll place both cards face-down and end my turn! And since then, the turn is over, Raikiri's points return to normal!' Crow shouted as two cards materialized on his field and Raikiri's ATK went back down to 2600

Raikiri (ATK: 4200→2600)

"It all comes down to this." Shinji stated. "If Sylvio isn't able to pull off some maneuver that can help him get the lead in this duel, then the victory's going to Crow."

"We won't know it yet till we see with our eyes." Jack mentioned, causing everyone to look at him.

"But Sylvio only has 500 LP left while Crow has 2750 and two powerful Synchros on his field. How's Sylvio supposed to deal with that?" Frank asked.

"Frank's right!" Tanner declared. "It's going to take a miracle for Sylvio to get out of this."

"Don't be sure so guys." Amanda said. "Sylvio has 5 cards in his hand, and on his next turn he'll have 6 which'll give him plenty of options.

"I just hope that you and Jack are right Amanda." Shinji added.

Sylvio brought his runner next to Crow's as he looked at him. "You know, I'll probably never admit this to anyone close to me, but apart from Yuya, Declan, and especially Zuzu, I also look up to you as well." Sylvio said which surprised Crow.

Just like Yuya and Zuzu's style that grasped the hearts of the audience, and Declan's imposing strength and skill, your ability to never give up hope even when people tell you, and you can't win inspires me. The thought of other duelists being so much stronger than me, it's almost unfair… Even so, no matter how far ahead they currently are from me, I decided that I would one day catch up to them eventually and surpass them as a Duelist in my own way. For that reason, I'll take another step forward here!"

Crow let his head down before looking at Sylvio. "Thanks Sylvio, I appreciate that."

"You're welcome. Now then, it's time for the final turn and the much-anticipated climax!" Sylvio announced. "Draw!"

Upon checking his drawn card, Sylvio looked at his card and his eyes widened in surprise. "This one…" he muttered. Then he smiled. Crow, I knew you were good, but during this duel you've proven that you're better than good, you're amazingly magnificent!"

Crow blinked at the compliment, shocked to hear Sylvio give one. "But like you said, you'll only teach me Synchro Summoning if I beat you in this duel and I promise you that I will!" His eyes narrowed. "I'll show you, here and now, how strong I have become!"

Crow blinked. "Well Sylvio, why don't you bring it on and show me?"

"Oh I intend too!" Sylvio declared as he increased his runner's speed and passed Crow.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" Sylvio shouted at the top of his lungs which caused everyone in the palace to be pumped up with excitement. Ladies and gentlemen!" Frank, Amanda, and Tanner gasped while Jack and Shinji each raised an eyebrow. "The time has come for my Entertainment Theater's final act!" Sylvio exclaimed.

"The name of this act: Plucking of the Wings! Today's star is a special guest! But he won't be performing alone! His co-star is his fellow Abyss Actors!"

"Oh my goodness!" Melissa said with excitement in her voice. "Looks like Sylvio's finally going to give us the special Sylvio Sawatari Entertainment Theater we've been waiting for!"

"That's right MC! The true Sylvio Sawatari has arrived!" Sylvio declared as he looked at the audience.

"Now, please listen very close citizens of New Domino because I promise you'll don't want to miss hearing this! As you can see, I have no cards on my field, but that's all about to change, immediately!" He told everybody as he took and revealed two cards in his hand announcing. ''With the Scale 0 Abyss Actor–Mellow Madonna and the Scale 9 Abyss Actor–Cupid Lover, I set the Pendulum Scale!''

He places both cards in his Pendulum Zones as the word P-E-N-D-U-L-U-M appears in colorful colors on his Duel Disk. Just then two monsters surrounded in blue light appear between his field.

In his left scale was Mellow Madonna, who was a pale purple, beautiful female with long pink hair with a yellow front hair strain which covered her left face, wearing a shoulderless black dress showing her legs and having yellow nails.

In his right scale was Cupid Lover, a pink fiendish baby holding a golden bow and arrow and wearing a white diaper.

"Now, I'm able to summon monsters Levels 1 to 8 simultaneously!" Sylvio pointed up into the air as he chanted, "Entertainers of the underworld! Take the stage upon the grand light inside the abyss! Pendulum Summon!" Purple lightning appeared from the portal before three lights emerged from them and morphed into monsters.

"Welcome back from the Extra Deck! Abyss Actor-Leading Lady (ATK: 1500), Abyss Actor-Eccentric Composer (ATK: 2200) and Abyss Actor-Superstar (ATK: 2500)!" Lady, Composer and Superstar reappeared on Sylvio's field.

"Sylvio has brought out three Pendulum monsters at once!" Melissa announced cheerfully.

Crow narrowed his eyes as he was confused by Sylvio's move. "That's weird, if I recall, Sylvio should have five monsters in his Extra Deck. So, why didn't he summon all and just three of them?"

"Since Composer's back on stage both of your monsters lose 200 ATK." Sylvio said as Eccentric Composer wrote some notes on a piece of paper, creating an effect that sapped both of Crow's monster's strength.

Raikiri (ATK: 2600→2400)

"I'll follow that move by activating Superstar's effect to add Abyss Script-Unexpected Plot, which I'll activate!" He declared as the card depicted an image of Evil Heel being the hero and Superstar being the villain in a play they're performing in.

"Because I have an "Abyss Actor" on my field, I get to retrieve a different "Abyss Script" from my graveyard, as well as summoning an "Abyss Actor" from my Extra Deck since I control one whose Level 7 like Superstar." Sylvio explained his card's effect.

"Retrieve any script you want, huh?" Crow asked. "The one card that'll give you an advantage is Rise of the Abyss King, so I'll make sure you can't use its effect." Crow stated as he sped up finding an Action Card and immediately grabbing it.

"I activate the Action Spell Copy Action, whose effect allows me to copy the effect of an Action Card in my opponent's Graveyard. I will copy the effect of Illusion Barrier, meaning my cards can't be destroyed by effects this turn!"

"That was a nice tactic there, Crow, but I never said the card I was getting was Abyss King because the card I chose is Opening Ceremony." Sylvio stated shocking Crow as he added the card to his hand.

"Wow." Shinji said. "Bet you Crow didn't expect that."

"But how come Crow's monsters ATK didn't increase?" Tanner asked.

"Yeah, since Sylvio lost in script in his graveyard, Crow's monsters should've regained 100 points."

"While that normally be the case kids, since Sylvio used a script to get a script back, the first script replaced the second script causing both Blackwing's ATK to stay at 2400." Jack explained.

"That was smart thinking on Sylvio's part." Amanda said. "Can't wait to see what else he has planned."

"I have to say Sylvio you got me with that last move. Tricking me into thinking that you were going to retrieve Abyss King to destroy my cards and forcing me to defend was brilliant!"

"Thanks! To continue, Unexpected Plot's additional effect lets me summon an "Abyss Actor" from my Extra Deck! Return, Wild Hope (DEF: 1200) !" Sylvio exclaimed as the fiendish appeared on his field in defense position.

"Furthermore, Eccentric Composer's effect allows me to add Curtain Raiser from my deck to my hand since I just played an "Abyss Script". Now I summon Abyss Actor-Curtain Raiser!" (ATK:1100/DEF:1000/LV:4/SC:7)

A Monster whose top half somewhat resembled a colored umbrella appeared on Sawatari's field.

Sylvio then held up another card from his hand, "And, moreover, I activate the Spell Card: Abyss Script-Opening Ceremony! I regain 500 LP for each "Abyss Actor"" monster I control!" Since there are currently five Abyss Actors, all of them glowed blue which then transferred over to Sylvio's life.

"And because there's another "Abyss Script" in my graveyard your monsters lose an additional 100 ATK.

Sylvio held out his hand, "I now activate Mellow Madonna's Pendulum effect!" Lightning crackled around Sylvio—painful, but not nearly as debilitating as it would be if it had been the real thing. "By paying a thousand Life Points, I can add another "Abyss Actor" Pendulum Monster from my Deck to my hand!"

And the monster I choose to add is the Ritual Monster, Abyss Actor-Dashing Rogue!" Sylvio stated as he revealed the card to Crow.

"What?!" Crow gasped.

"Ritual?!" Jack said in surprise. A word that was repeated by Frank, Amanda, Tanner, Melissa, and all the citizens of New Domino watching the duel.

"It's time for you, and everyone else, to realize just how awesome I am! I activate the Ritual Spell Card: Abyss Script–Abyss Ritual!" Sylvio shouted as the card showed Superstar, Sassy Rookie, and Wild Hope holding hands around a blue fire in a brazier.

"By Tributing monsters from my hand or field whose Levels equal that of the 'Abyss Actor' Ritual Monster in my hand, I can perform a Ritual Summon! Sawatari continued. "I tribute the Level 4 Curtain Raiser and Wild Hope!"

The brazier appeared on Sawatari's field. Curtain Raiser and Wild Hope lit up with blue flames and leapt into the air. He landed on the brazier, which lit up. A pillar of light shot upwards as Sylvio chanted.

"Mischievous outlaw pursuing everlasting freedom! Emerge from the pages of history and travel across the path towards the endless dream! Ritual Summon! Appear now, Level 8! Abyss Actor–Dashing Rogue (ATK:2900/DEF:2700/LV:8)!"

A Monster reminiscent of a cowboy wielding two pistols with blades attached to them, which was clad in a purple and green hat with the Abyss Actors' symbol on it, a crimson and blue mask, a purple cape and black coat, appeared on Sylvio's field.

"Ritual Summoning?" Crow stared at the monster in shock.

Since when does Sylvio have a Ritual Monster?" The three kids said in unison.

"I'll give him this," Shinji muttered. "I wasn't expecting him to Ritual Summon."

"Where and how did you learn how to Ritual Summon, Sylvio?" Crow asked him. The boy in question smiled back in response.

"Well you see it was a week before me and Yuya's duel, and he and his father had invited me to do an entertainment show at their school. When I got there, I was asked to duel one of his students from the Fusion Dimension Was there, and the person I dueled was Alexis Rhodes." Sylvio replied.

"Alexis, the Ritual User?" Crow asked.

"That's the one!" Sylvio said in response. "Sadly I lost the duel, but that made me realize that even with Pendulum I still wasn't strong enough because I haven't picked up another Summoning Method, and that's when I went up to her…"

Alexis raised an eyebrow. "You want me to teach you Ritual Summoning?" she asked.

Sylvio nodded. "That's right. Yusho says you're a natural and after dueling you I can see that he's right. So, won't you please teach me?"

"It's not that I won't," Alexis mentioned. "I'm just curious about your sudden interest in wanting to learn it."

Sylvio frowned. "… When Yuya first Pendulum Summoned, I thought that would be the pinnacle of dueling, he said softly. "That if I obtained Pendulum Summoning, I could be the strongest duelist. But merely Pendulum Summoning isn't enough anymore." He clenched his fists in frustration. "Yuya's learned Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Summoning.

He raised his head to glare at Alexis. "If I'm going to at least stand a chance against him in my duel next week, and don't want to be left in the dust, then I must become stronger. I don't know Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Summoning, but with how my Deck works, I know learning Ritual Summoning is the best option for me to become stronger!"

After hearing Sylvio's reasoning on why he wanted to learn Ritual Summoning, Alexis thought it over for a minute before finally deciding. Very well Sylvio. I'll teach you how to Ritual Summon. We'll start training tomorrow okay?"

"Awesome! Thanks, Alexis, I really appreciate it! I promise to give it my all during our training!" Sylvio told her in a happy tone.

"With Ritual Summoning and Pendulum Summoning, I'm stronger than before!" Sylvio declared. "I'm going to defeat you, Crow and learn how to Synchro Summon to become even stronger! Then I'm going to go on and face Yuya and Declan. I'll surpass them and show them who the stronger duelist is!"

Crow stared at Sylvio. "That's a big dream there pal. Can't wait to see you turn that dream into a reality, only if you can actually make it happen."

"Oh I'll make it happen, and here's the proof!" Sylvio said, resuming his turn. "Since another script is in the grave, both your monsters lose another 100 points!"

"Now, it's time to put an end to this show with a bang!" Sylvio exclaimed. "Battle! Dashing Rogue, attack Blackwing Tamer-Obsidian Hawk Joe!

"Hate to break it to you, but I'm activating the Black Wing Trap Card!" Crow shouted as the card depicted an image of Blackwing Armor Master shielding itself from some attack. "When you declare an attack, I can banish a "Blackwing, like Gust the Backblast for instance to negate the attack of all monsters you control with 2000 or more ATK!"

"I won't let you!' Sylvio shouted as he noticed an Action Card and leaned down to grab it. "Got it!" he said as he grabbed the Action Card. His eyes widened when he saw what it was, then he grinned. "I activate the Action Spell: Encore! I can reuse an Action Spell from my graveyard! I choose my Trap Eraser to negate Black Wing and shuffle it back to your deck!" He explained as he used his card to cancel Black Wing.

"Now to resume my attack, Dashing Rogue attacks Hawk Joe! At this moment, Dashing Rogue's effect activates! When this card battles, I can send any number of "Abyss Actor" Pendulum Monsters from my Extra Deck or hand to the Graveyard to reduce the opposing Monster's attack by 1000 for every card sent! I will send Funky Comedian, Wild Hope and Curtain Raiser to reduce your Monster's attack by 3000 (Joe ATK: 2200→0)! Go, Dashing Rogue! Take down that aerial warrior! Dashing Discharge!"

Crow panicked as he tried looking for an Action Card, finally noticing one in front of him as grabbed it.

"I activate the Action Spell: Encore! I can reuse an Action Spell from my graveyard! I choose Half Out to cut the damage in half!" Crow explained.

Dashing Rogue flew forward, unleashing a hail of bullets that pierced Joe's body on numerous spots, causing it to cry in pain. Sylvio's Monster then slashed at it with the blades mounted on his pistols, destroying it and generating a massive explosion that engulfed Crow.

"Leading Lady's effect activates!" Once per turn when you take damage, I can weaken your monster's ATK by the same amount! So, Raikiri's points dropped from 2200 to 800!" Sylvio explained as Leading Lady winked her one eye as a red aura surrounded Mutation Beast momentarily.

"Crow managed to survive the turn by the skin of his teeth!" Melissa cheered. "But one more attack from either Superstar or Composer and this duel will end in Sylvio's victory?"

"Superstar attacks Raikiri!" Sylvio declared. "This is the end!" The star spun his body and headed straight towards Raikiri. Crow grit his teeth and revved his engine, increasing the Blackbird's speed. The two duelists turned a corner and caught sight of it: An Action Card.

Sylvio narrowed his eyes as Crow increased the distance between them. A gamble, huh? Would it pay off, though?"

Superstar was getting closer to Raikiri while at the same time Crow reached out and grabbed the Action Card, just in time for the beams to hit and create an explosion of smoke.

"Crow!" Frank, Tanner, and Amanda cried out.

"Looks like it's game over for Crow." Shinji said.

Jack, however, didn't say anything as he was just watching the duel.

"Is this the end?" Melissa wondered. Everyone watched the cloud as they waited for the result… only to gasp as Crow shot out of the cloud. "Crow survived!"

"I activated the Action Spell Card: Sacred Gem!" Crow revealed. "It increased my Life Points by 600!"

"This battle is crazy intense!" Melissa shouted.

"Keep fighting, Crow!"

"You can do it, Sylvio!"

The crowd was cheering for both duelists.

"I activate my Trap; Black Wing Revenge!" I called, flipping up said card. "Since you destroyed my winged-beast monster by battle and sent it to my graveyard, I can Special summon two Blackwing -Black Crest Tokens!"

Two chick Tokens flew out from the Trap card and shrieked as they sat down on the field.

"Crow built up his defenses to last him for the rest of the turn." Melissa announced.

"Doesn't matter! Leading Lady and Eccentric Composer attacks both your tokens!" Sylvio shouted as Lady and Composer pointed their wands at the little birds and released waves of purple of energy that destroyed them.

"Now Crow has no monsters left on his field to protect him!" Melissa said.

"I now activate the Continuous Spell: Abyss Prop-Wild Wagon!" Sylvio declared as horses and a carriage that looked like they escaped from the underworld appeared as his monsters sat on the carriage.

"Thanks to this, I can target one Abyss Actor on my field once per battle phase and have it become unaffected by any of your effects! Moreover, as an added touch, it can't be destroyed in battle!"

"Tch!" Crow spat now knowing it was going to be even more difficult to get rid of Sylvio's monsters.

"And if you plan on destroying my wagon, don't bother because Cupid Lover's Pendulum ability protects all "Abyss" cards from being destroyed by effects." Sylvio added.

"What!? Crow said in shock. "So your field's entirely indestructible now?"

"Exactly!" Sylvio responded. "Lastly, I place one card face-down and activate Tragic Performance's effect from my graveyard, banishing it to add an "Abyss Actor" monster from my deck to my Extra Deck for each monster I control!" Sylvio stated as he took four cards from his deck before showing them to Crow.

"With that he'll be able to use Rogue's effect to weaken my monsters." Crow thought to himself.

I choose to add Abyss Actor-Extras, Comic Relief, Sassy Rookie, and Evil Heel to my Extra Deck! With that, I end my turn!

"Crow is down to 250 Life Points with no monsters on his field and no cards in his hand! Sylvio has 2000 Life Points and four monsters on his field who are now protected through the effect of his wagon! This next draw will decide the duel!"

"It all comes down to this one card. Let's see if my deck will come through for me like it always does." Crow thought.

"My turn! Draw!" Crow looked at his card and smiled. "It's here!" Sylvio's eyes narrowed. "I activate the Spell: The Beginning Of The End!" Crow declared as he played the Spell. Since I have at least 7 DARK Monsters in my grave, by banishing 5 of them I get to draw three cards! I banish Kris, Cutlass, Williwaw, Onyxia, and Ghibli!" Crow explained as he drew three cards from his deck.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Cards of Black Feathers! I send one Blackwing in my hand to the graveyard like Zephyros the Elite, I get to draw 2 cards!" Crow shouted as he discarded Zephyros and drew two more cards. "Since you control a monster and I don't, I can summon Assault Blackwing-Ji the Light Snow without a sacrifice!"

A tall white winged beast warrior in turquoise armor appeared and flew beside Crow.

"Did you forget that your monster loses 400 ATK thanks to Composer's effect? Sylvio asked as his Composer drained Ji of its power.

Ji (ATK: 2100→1700)

I didn't! And now because I Normal Summoned a Blackwing, Whirlwind's effect goes off and lets me add Assault Blackwing-Twister the Swift Scroll, which I'll then summon since I control a Blackwing!"

An aquamarine-colored winged beast holding a scroll within its talons appeared and flew beside Crow, but whose attack weakened due to Composer's effect.

"When Twister's summoned, I get to add another Blackwing. I add Bora the Spear to my hand!

"Crow keeps playing combo after combo! Maybe this is the miracle he needs to pull out a win!" Melissa announced.

"Add all the cards you want, it won't help you anyway!" Sylvio said in a snark tone.

"You're going to regret saying those words. I activate Ji's effect to lower his level by one!" Crow said as Ji's level changed from 5 to 4.

Ji the Light Snow LVL: 5→4

"What's the point of doing that? Neither one of your feathered friends is a tuner!" Sylvio stated.

"Who said I was going to Synchro Summon?" Crow asked which confused Sylvio. "I overlay my level 4 Ji the Light Snow and Twister the Swift Scroll to build the Overlay Network!"

"What!?" Sylvio said in shock as well as everyone else in New Domino

Ji and Twister then turned into purple energy and entered the black-and-yellow spiraling portal that appeared in front of Crow. A beam of light shot out of it.

"Fearless warrior that patrols the skies, stand against those who hurt the innocent and defeat them with all your might." Xyz Summon! Appear! Rank 4! Blackwing Tamer-Morrigan the Storm!" (ATK:2500-2100/DEF:1600, RANK: 4, OVU: 2)!"

A man who looked identical to Hawk Joe with the only differences being instead of black feathered wings, they were white, instead of red feathers attached to his head and right shoulder, they were blue. Finally, it was wearing silver armor and not gold. He emerged from the light in Attack Position with two violet lights circling it.

"Crow just pulled an unexpected, and summoned a Xyz monster!" Melissa cheerfully announced while the audience yelled with excitement.

"I didn't expect that from Crow." Shinji stated.

"Crow's so cool!" The three kids said in unison.

"When did you learn how to Xyz Summon?" Sylvio asked.

"From Shay after the Dimensional War." Crow replied. "You're not the only who decided to sharpen their skills as well."

"Well even if you managed to summon a strong new monster, it isn't powerful enough to deal with my army of Abyss Actors!" Sylvio declared.

"Don't be so sure." Crow rebutted. "Morrigan's effect activates! When he's Xyz Summoned, I can add 1 Level 4 or lower Winged Beast-Type monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck to your hand. "I add Blackwing-Farore the Saber Wind!" Crow declared as he took the card from his deck and placed it in his hand.

"After getting that card, Crow has a total of 4 cards in his hand, which gives him a bunch of options. But with my field set up the way it has, I'm protected from any move he makes." Sylvio thought.

"Listen up Sylvio! This will be the final turn because I'm going to win this duel!" Crow declared as he spotted an Action Card a few meters ahead and drove up the Duel Lane's side, launching the D-Wheel into the air as he grabbed the Action Card.

"Perfect!" Crow thought to himself. By detaching an Overlay Unit, I can use Morrigan's effect to banish one monster you control! So say goodbye to your Dashing Rogue!" Crow declared as his Xyz Monster formed a dark blue orb in its hands and hurled it straight at Rogue!"

"Rogue's not going anywhere!" Sylvio exclaimed. "Thanks to Wild Wagon, I can make Rogue become unaffected by your effects until the end of the turn!" Sylvio said as a clear multi-colored barrier formed around Rogue.

"You fell for my trap! I activate the Action Spell Shutdown!" Crow stated. "Through its effect, not only does it stop your Wagon's wheels in its tracks, but also shuts down the effects of every Spell you have and play for the remainder of the turn!" Crow explained as the barrier surrounding Rogue disappeared and was absorbed by Morrigan's blue orb which banished him.

"I can't believe I fell for that." Sylvio said

"Well believe because it's going to get a lot worse!" Crow replied.

"Not only was Crow able to break through Sylvio's defenses, but also prevented him from using any Action Cards this turn!" Melissa commented.

"Looks like Crow's going to win after all." Tanner said.

"But Sylvio still has more monsters than Crow, including life points." Frank rebutted.

"That may be true, but Crow has always been able to pull through and win every time he's been pushed back into a corner." Amanda added.

"Well kids, guess we'll have to see who ends up being the victor." Jack said.

"Yes we will Jack." Shinji added to the conversation.

"Since I control a 'Blackwing' monster, I can Special Summon Blackwing–Bora the Spear!" A humanoid bird with dark blue wings, an orange head, and a large drill in its hands appeared in Attack Position.

"Whenever I Special Summon a Blackwing" from my hand I can bring out Blackwing-Farore the Saber Wind!' Crow called a green and blue winged bird, which donned a yellow cape and wore a silver helmet on his head. He was equipped with a red sword that was so sharp it could cut through steel.

Farore the Saber Wind (ATK:1200-800/DEF:1000/LV: 3)

"When summoned this way he becomes a tuner monster!" Crow added.

"So you're planning on summoning a Level 7 Synchro?" Sylvio asked.

"Your half right, let me show you what you'd got wrong. I activate the Spell Card: Level Mirroring! This lets me change the Level of a monster I control to the Level of a monster you control!"

"A monster I control?" Sylvio blinked.

"I change Farore's Level to match Lady's!"

Farore the Saber Wind LVL: 3→4

Sylvio's eyes widened. "With it being Level 4 you can summon a Level 8 Synchro Monster!"

"That's correct! But I won't keep you waiting. I tune my level 4 Farore the Saber Wind to my level 4 Bora the Spear!" Crow shouted as his winged warrior turned into four green circles that flew around the other Blackwing.

"Darkened dragon, spread your pitch-black wings of hope and soar through the sky! Synchro Summon! Soar, Blackwing Dark Storm Dragon!" Crow shouted. A ferocious roar enveloped the field as a black dragon appeared. The dragon had pitch-black wings that were red at the tips, a slim black and blue body with a long dark tail, multiple silver blades sticking out of its body, red, and black armor across its chest. It had grey claws, a yellow beak, and a pair of red eyes. The dragon flapped its wings which caused a powerful wind to consume the field.

"This pressure…" Sylvio said as he braved himself from the wind.

"I've never seen that dragon before!" Frank said, shocked.

"That's because it's Crow's true ace monster!" Shinji said with a smirk.

"Amazing…" Amanda and Tanner both said in astonishment.

"So he finally summoned it… Jack said as he watched the duel.

"I set one card face-down and then activate the special ability of my Blackwing–Zephyros the Elite that is in my Graveyard. "By taking 400 points of damage and returning a card on my field to my hand, I can Special Summon Zephyros the Elite from my graveyard!" Crow stated as a winged man appeared. His mask was in blue feathers, and was wearing red and gold armor as well.

Blackwing- Zephyros the Elite: ATK 1600-1200, DEF 1000, LVL 4

"But by using that effect, you lose!" Sylvio exclaimed.

The red bolt of lightning headed towards Crow, but instead of striking him, it struck his dragon, confusing Sylvio in the process.

"What?!" Sylvio said.

"Blackwing Dark Storm Dragon's effect! By decreasing its ATK by the damage I'm about to take, the damage becomes 0!"

Dark Storm Dragon (2400/1600)-(2000/1600)

"And now I place the card face-down again!" Crow called as he added, "Zephyros destroys itself when it's summoned from its ability."

Zephyros shattered into pieces as Crow's face-down reappeared on his field.

"But with this, my plan is complete." Crow said which confused not only Sylvio, but everyone else watching the duel except Jack and Shinji.

Sylvio sat there on his Duel Runner as Crow repeated the same actions over and over again with both Dark Storm Dragon and Zephyros's abilities working for him. The loop continued until the Dragon's ATK had finally reached zero.

"His dragon!" Tanner panicked.

"It doesn't have any points left." Amanda whispered nervously.

"You just doomed yourself." Sylvio said to him.

"You think so?" Crow grinned which caught him off-guard, "I activate my dragon's second ability! Go, Black-Feather Dark Storm Dragon! Shadow Gale Blast!" Crow shouted. Crow's dragon roared loudly as the sky above them became dark and the wind increased.

"What the…?!" Sylvio uttered in worry.

Dark Storm Dragon (0/1600)-(2800/1600)

"How?!" Sylvio said in amazement.

"Dark Storm's effect! Once per turn, I can return Dark Storm's effect to its original ATK! And for every 700 ATK it gained through this effect… I can destroy one monster on your field!" Crow shouted.

"WHAT?!" Sylvio shouted.

"Crow's monster gained 2800 ATK…" Amanda said.

"So Crow can destroy up to 4 monsters!" Frank finished.

"Not only that, but Sylvio's no longer to use Action Cards to try to save him or himself."

"Sorry Sylvio, but it looks like this duel's mine, and you won't be learning Synchro Summoning." Crow said causing Sylvio to grit his teeth.

"Go, Shadow Gale Strike!" Crow shouted as the dragon shot 3 black and blue energy spheres at Sylvio's three monsters.

"I'm not going to let it end here! I activate the Trap Abyss Actor Trouble Detainment!" Sylvio shouted as the card depicted Superstar and his other fellow Abyss Actors were in jail.

"By tributing my Leading Lady, I can negate the effects of all monsters on your field that were summoned from the Extra Deck, as well as preventing them from attacking this turn!" Sylvio explained as Lady disappeared and Trouble Detainment released a purple wave energy towards Crow's monsters.

"If this connects, Sylvio's monsters will survive, and he'll have a chance to win the next turn!" Melissa declared.

The purple energy wave then hit Morrigan and Dark Storm, enveloping them in purple mist. Morrigan became paralyzed after being hit, but for some reason Dark Storm seemed fine.

"How come your dragon looks unfazed by my Detainment? Sylvio asked.

"That's because of Farore the Saber Wind." Crow replied. "When he's used as Synchro Material for a "Blackwing" Monster, then that monster is unaffected by Traps!"

"What!?" Sylvio said in shock. "So you planned for this? You already knew that I would have something up my sleeve just in case you broke through my defenses."

"Correct!" Crow replied. "You've countered the majority of my moves so far…but now that I've decided to show you my true strength, I won't let anything you do slide right by me!"

"Th-This can't be…" Sylvio uttered.

"Let's continue, "Go, Dark Storm Dragon! Shadow Gale Blast!" Crow shouted. His dragon flapped its wings, creating a powerful wind. The dragon then shot two spheres of blue and black energy towards the Superstar and Composer, destroying them in a big explosion.

"With a remarkable strategy, Crow has managed to destroy Frost's ace!" Melissa shouted causing the crowd to cheer.

"…" Sylvio looked in horror at the sight of his field being empty before looking down, seemingly giving up.

"Battle! Blackwing Dark Storm Dragon, Direct Attack! DARK HURRICANE BURST!" Crow shouted as the monster launched a powerful blast at the boy which launched him through the air.

"I…lost…"

Sylvio: 400-0 LP

Sylvio's Duel Runner vented steam and slowed to a stop as Crow's continued onwards.

"AND IT'S OVER! Crow wins the duel!" Melissa announced.

Amanda smirked. "The result was as you guys expected. But Sylvio did put up a better fight than I thought he would."

Tanner smiled to himself. "Told you Crow was going to win and beat Sylvio. But it is sad that Sylvio won't learn Synchro Summoning."

Crow rode into the stadium amidst the cheers and stopped at the pits. Sylvio followed in after him. As he got his Duel Runner, he gritted his teeth and took his helmet off before throwing it on the ground.

"Damn it!" he growled. "Even after implementing Ritual Summoning, I lost?!"

"Way to go, Sylvio!"

The boy blinked and turned to the audience. Several people were shouting cheers at him and congratulations on doing well. Sawatari found himself smiling.

"Well, I guess since the audience liked it, losing is okay for now."

"Sylvio." He turned to see Crow walk up to him. "That was a great duel! You pulled off some great moves and combos that caught me by surprise, and because of that, you were almost close to beating me." Crow told him.

"But close doesn't cut it." Sylvio replied. "Because of our deal, since I lost you won't be teaching me Synchro Summoning. Guess I'll head back to Paradise City and learn from one of those loser Professors."

Sylvio then walked towards the exit before being stopped by Crow.

"Hold on Sylvio! I never said anything about not teaching you Synchro Summoning." Crow said.

"But our deal?" Sylvio said.

"After our duel today, I can see that your skills and determination showed how much you wanted to win, so you can become even stronger. I've decided that I'll teach you Synchro Summoning."

Crow said.

"Really? Oh, Yeah!" Sylvio said as he jumped with joy.

"Ah, it looks like Crow decided to teach Sylvio our famous Summoning Method!" Melissa commented.

"So nice of Crow to change his mind and teach Sylvio." Tanner said.

"Well after what he showed him, Sylvio deserves it." Amanda added.

"Plus, by becoming stronger, Sylvio can defend us from those Link Dimension losers. Frank stated.

"Well if they're planning on becoming stronger, then so will I! Jack declared

"Don't think you're the only one who plans to become stronger Mr. Atlas." Shinji said. I'll train as well, so I can help you guys on protecting our dimension, since I didn't get a chance to do it last time.

"Better keep your word, cause just like Crow and Sylvio said, we have to be prepared for anything the enemy throws at us." Jack stated.

This by far was the longest chapter I ever had to write. I assumed it would be less, but it's over 14,000 words.
