I know its been ages since I updated, but my life got turned upside down and I am relearning the ways of the world once again (timezones are a bitch), anyways! I hope you all enjoy this, I take this time to remind you all that this is an extremely self indulgent story and that will not change in the course of it, I'm just here to have a good time ^^'.

Alysanne II
287-288
Aly had a vision for the North, and she was not going to allow anyone to derail her; she would work diligently to establish her kingdom and to flourish in the cold, unforgiving winter. Besides, she knew the threat that lay on the other side of the wall, so she worked diligently and campaigned to have common people brought from the south to work as farmers in the lands of the Gift and the New Gift.
Benjen, for his part, had moved to the mountains with Dacey Mormont and together they had worked with the Mountain Clans to establish fertile land and mine the mountains of the North. So far they had found gold and silver, which had helped them settle the glass gardens of mass production that they had been building in the lands near Winterfell. In the mountains they had also found gemstones such as diamonds and emeralds.
The mountain clans knew how to work the minerals and gemstones and the North had started selling them to the south as pieces. Aly had furthered the idea, and gained the Mountain Clans by sheer attitude, since uncle Ned had let her attend his meetings since she was four. In those years she and Ned had planned many things.
The Manderlys were given orders to make a Northern Fleet and so were the Glovers. Ethan and Galbart had visited the Manderlys so they could learn about the sea and how to protect it from the Ironborn. Aly also sent people to the Stoney Shore, fishers and traders from different regions that had sworn fealty to her and the North. She had re-established House Fisher, from the Stoney Shore, and they had made the first fishing town of the North.
Barrowtown and The Rills were put in charge of the horse and cattle production of the North, while Torrhen's Square became the North's first chicken producers. The Flints of Widow's Watch were to become an emergency port and aid House Manderly, at the same time the Flints of Flint's Finger became a second navy that aided the Glovers. Hornwood became a potato farming town. In the Dreadfort, Lord Bolton was producing carrots and cabbage, while in Last Hearth they bred goats for their milk and cheese. In the Karhold adjoined lands they were producing corn, while the lands of the Neck were being prepared to yield rice imported from Yi-Ti.
They still needed to buy grains from the Reach, sure, but now they also had their own staples. Winterfell, in turn, produced fruits thanks to their glasshouses. They had apples, berries, and grapes, and even lemons. Winterfell also had sheep and cattle, which they kept on the Eastern side, away from the Wolfswood to the West.
A canal was also in the works that would connect the Fever and White Harbor via Moat Cailin, all paid by a loan from the Iron Banks for five million dragons. Aly and Ned had run the numbers - before Aly turned thirteen the debt was to be completely paid. They were also rebuilding Wintertown to establish it as a community all year round with merchants from the Free Cities selling their products there. The capital of The North would become a merchant city, although Aly had ruled out whorehouses and instead had the ladies working with the sheep and getting milk from cows.
In her first life, Aly, who may have been called Alex, loved to cook, so with the aid of her people she started implementing cold rooms and cold boxes, and the North's production of ice and iced cream began deep down in the kitchens of Winterfell.
The boiling phase began with water and milk, then they passed to other foods, and then Aly started implementing herbs and spices from Essos and Dorne. Northern stew became A Thing, and so did the pig production in the North. Northern Stew was a creamy stew made with three types of meat and vegetables, and varied upon regions, while the landlocked keeps stuck to red meats and chicken, the cities that had access to the sea made their own versions of the Stew with fish instead of beef. The stew was commonly served with rice, and it became very popular in the lands close to the wall and the wall itself.
Even though most of Aly's creations had flourished, her uncle Ned and her mother were always skeptical of her ideas. Just the milk boiling had taken one month to convince uncle Ned about. Aly's next big plan was a distillery in the North. For that she selected Mikken, the castle's smith, and Maester Luwin, as she didn't want the secret to her newest project to be stolen.
She was six now, and in one of Winterfell's underground rooms they began the first brew of vodka - or wolfsmead, as it would be called. Aly employed former whores to bottle and oversee the production of wolfsmead and decided to put Old Nan in charge of them. A building had been made in Wintertown to house the new workers of the North, and with them Aly broadened her Snowflakes.
With wolfsmead came a harvest, so Aly could show her Lords her creations and how they could market them in the South for profit. All of her vassals attended her Winter Harvest and many stayed in the newly called Hostels of Wintertown. The merchants of Essos had a day for demonstrating their products and the Northern Lords had their time, too, to offer theirs.
For the evening feast Aly had introduced milk bread made from the cream of boiled milk; it was a soft almost sweet bread that tended to melt in one's mouth. She also introduced butter and her own version of ricotta cheese. For the main plate she introduced rice with beef and pork and salted vegetables, and for dessert she charmed the Lords with strawberry ice cream.
"My Lords, I hope you have all enjoyed this feast," Aly said with a smile while standing on her chair. "There is one more thing that I would like you to try tonight. The Southerners have their soft drinks like wine, beer and mead, and there is nothing wrong with liking a good Arbor Gold, but it is time that we present Westeros with a drink of our own," she said, and maids began handing glass goblets to the lords with clear liquid inside
"Pardon me Lady Stark, but your maids have confused your drink with water," said the Greatjon Umber with a laugh, Aly smirking at him.
"Take a drink then Lord Umber, if water is what you see," she said and Umber downed the whole glass, immediately he began sputtering and coughing. His brother Mors was quick to hold him.
"Lord Umber?" Asked Aly innocently, the other lords began laughing.
"What in the seven hells was that?" He asked once he could stand correctly.
"Wolfsmead, Lord Umber, looks completely harmless, doesn't it?" She asked, smiling. "Lord Karkstark, why don't you try it?"
Lord Rickard Karstark eyed her and the goblet carefully and took a small sip of it, then another and grinned. "This is the drink of the Northern families my Lady," he declared. The other Lords followed suit, even Lord Umber tried again, this time with more success.
Two moons later and the North had shipped South their first courtesy batch of wolfsmead to King's Landing. Six moons after that, wolfsmead was being sold in Dorne and the Stormlands. Aly was very proud of the development that the North represented as in a couple of years they would be self-sustainable.
