I probably won't be able to update again this weekend, but I'll be back Monday!

What the hell was that? What were you thinking in there Robbins? Why did you stop her? I need to find Jo. Arizona continued walking as close to a run without actually running, on her search for Jo. She first looked at the OR board to make sure that Jo wasn't in surgery. When she didn't see Jo's name, she headed towards the residents' lounge. If she is lucky, Jo will be finishing up her shift, and Arizona and she could get out of the hospital before she runs into Callie again. At this point, Arizona was really almost running, and as she rounded the corner she collided with another doctor.

"Woah! What's the rush Robbins? You could have knocked someone over at that speed"

"Sorry, Grey!" Arizona said to Meredith Grey as she continued walking forward before turning around and saying, "Wait, have you seen Wilson?"

"Yeah. She finished working on a meningioma with Shepard a bit ago. She's either already gone or on her way out." Meredith responded. "Why are you running like there's a fire to get to her?"

Before Arizona could respond, Meredith spoke up again, "Wait, are you guys dating? I always said you guys were too close to be just friends."

Arizona rolled her eyes "No we aren't dating. Just because we are close doesn't mean I'm dating her. Jo isn't even gay, and you know me, I don't go for newborns even if she was."

"Okay fine. Although I really do think you guys would be great together." Meredith said with a wicked grin on her face.

Arizona didn't even respond to that. She just waved her off and continued on her run/walk to the residents' lounge in hopes of catching Jo.

As Arizona turned the corner, she saw Jo exiting the lounge and Arizona almost screamed, "Thank God! I've been looking everywhere for you!"

Jo quickly turned around. She noticed the look on Arizona's face. Arizona knew that her eyes were probably puffy and her cheeks were red. There was no denying that she looked like a mess at that moment, and she was sure that Jo would notice, but it didn't matter at that point. All that mattered was that she get out of the hospital as soon as possible.

"Are you okay?" Jo said with a sense of urgency. All of a sudden that urgency turned into anger as she got a closer look at Arizona's face, "Was it Callie? Did she do something? I wasn't joking when I said I'd beat her up. Where is she?" Jo asked while looking around seemingly trying to locate Callie.

Arizona quickly spoke up, "No, no it wasn't her. Well technically it kinda was, but she didn't do anything wrong. I need to get out of here, and then I'll fill you in on everything. I don't want to go back to the attendings' lounge. Do you have a change of clothes I can borrow?"

Arizona knew that Jo was worried and wanted to ask why she didn't want to go back to her lounge, but she knew better than to ask right then.

"Sure. Just go to the bathroom and I'll be in in a sec with my extra sweats and a hoodie."

"Thank you! You're a lifesaver!" Arizona said before making her way to the bathroom.

What was that? What just happened? Callie couldn't stop repeating those two questions over and over in her head for the next 5 minutes as she stood still in the supply closet. I need to talk to Mark. Wait, I can't talk to Mark because I can't tell him about Arizona. I guess I can tell him without telling him about her leg. What even is there to tell? That we looked at each other? That we stood in a closet together? That's ridiculous. Whatever. I just need to get out of this closet.

Wow Callie, what an interesting choice of words you used there.

Okay, now I'm tormenting myself. That was nothing, this is nothing, there is no metaphorical closet. I'm straight. I've only been with men; I've only been attracted to men… until now. Ughhh just get me out of this stupid closet!

If Callie thought her brain couldn't shut up earlier then it definitely couldn't shut up now. Callie had never been so confused in her life. For the last five years, she thought she hated this woman. Callie would constantly complain and talk about how much she really just didn't even like seeing Arizona. Now all of a sudden after working with her for a couple of days over the last few weeks, she feels like she is developing a crush on her, which is really weird for someone who has never had a crush on a woman in her entire life.

No, this isn't a crush. I just learned something about someone that makes them seem very impressive. I learned how strong Arizona was today and I saw the pain in her eyes. I saw that she isn't just the happy, peppy girl I thought, but someone who has struggled and overcome. Seeing this all has just confused me. That's what it is. This isn't a crush. This isn't any feeling other than friendship.

Callie continued to try and convince herself of that for the next few minutes before giving up and texting Mark to meet her at Joe's in 10 minutes. She quickly realized that this is not a conversation she wants to have in a bar that half the doctors and nurses in the hospital visit, and she changed the text to tell him she was going to his place. He just moved into an apartment across from the hospital, and she had yet to visit him there. She was planning on stopping by soon anyways, so this gave her a good excuse to do exactly that. Mark replied quickly, and she was on her way to get changed and head over.

Ten minutes later Callie was standing outside Mark's door waiting to be let in. "What's up, Torres?" Mark said calmly before looking at Callie and changing his tone to a more concerned one, "You alright? You look like you've seen a ghost." He continued as he led Callie into his new place. It was nice. It had an open concept living room into the kitchen and one bedroom right past the living room. It wasn't huge, but it wasn't small. It was the perfect size for Mark. "Nice place," Callie said with a dry voice, ignoring everything Mark just asked and said.

"Okay seriously Torres, you're scaring me? Are you alright?"

Leave it to Mark to always know what Callie is feeling. Even though Callie went to Mark to talk through what she was feeling, once she arrived it was like she couldn't bring herself to say it. She felt crazy for even thinking it was a moment at all between her and Arizona. Arizona obviously had a hard day and just needed to feel someone's presence with her for a moment. There is no reason to turn it into anything bigger than it is, and there is definitely no reason to bring Mark into it.

"Yeah, Mark I'm fine. I just had a hard day. One of my patients was really not having it today, and it was just a bit much. I don't really want to talk about it if that's cool. I just want to hang and watch some TV if that's alright with you. I don't feel like being alone right now."

"Of course. You know you're always welcome here, even if it's just to watch TV and steal my beer," Mark says with his signature grin, "But are you sure this doesn't have anything to do with Robbins?" Mark asked with a wink.

Callie almost gasped but she kept it in. She was sure her cheeks were red, but she was hoping Mark wouldn't notice. Callie knew that Mark was just teasing her, but he didn't know how accurate his comment actually was.

"Yeah, it's about Robbins. She saw me walking down the hall and pushed me and threw coffee all over me," Callie replied sarcastically, "No you idiot, it's not Robbins. She's been fine to work with."

"I'm sure she has," Sloan said with his typical grin and hint of another meaning in his sentence. As usual Callie tried to ignore it, but this time it was a bit harder than usual. She decided to just ignore him, turn on the TV, and drown out all the noise in her head for the night, if it's even possible.

Jo and Arizona quickly made it back to Arizona's apartment before Arizona told Jo anything. Arizona could tell that Jo was getting anxious not knowing why Arizona was all worked up, but she knew that Arizona would tell her when they got back to her place. Once inside Arizona's apartment Arizona plopped down on the couch, and Jo went to the fridge to grab them both beers. Jo spent so much time at Arizona's apartment that it was almost a second home to her at this point. Arizona took the beer from Jo and took a chug before she began talking. She continued to stare into the distance without saying anything until Jo couldn't take it any longer. "Okay, you're really starting to scare me now. What the hell happened today?"

"You remember my patient Paige? The girl who lost her leg?"
"Yeah. I thought you got off that case because it was hitting too close to home"

"I did, but Callie came up to me today and said that Paige wasn't meeting with the prosthetist and was refusing to try on a prosthetic. She was really depressed and for whatever reason Callie thought I might be able to help her." Arizona finished before taking another sip of her beer.

Jo's eyes almost popped out of her head as she said, "Does Callie know? Why would she think you could help her?"

"She didn't know," Arizona continued ominously, "but she thought that because of how I interact with patients, it would be good to have me back on the case. I couldn't say no. I know what that girl is going through, and I just felt wrong not helping, so I decided to go and see how she was doing. She was a real mess, Jo. She was feeling all the things I felt, but she is even younger than I was. I tried to reassure her, but she started yelling at me and telling me that there was no way I knew what she was going through. Callie was in the room, so I hesitated. I didn't know what to do, but I decided I had to tell her. I had to reassure her that everything will be okay even if it feels like it never will again. This horrible thing happened to me, but I couldn't allow no good to come from it. If I can even help one person because of it I had to, so I showed her."

"You showed her your leg?" Jo said, completely shocked "Even though Callie was in the room, you showed her?" Jo knew just how hard this all was for Arizona. She knew that Arizona really didn't want people at the hospital knowing that she had one leg. After the accident, she had struggled to get people to stop treating her differently and like she was fragile. She couldn't stand the way that people would stop talking or stare when she entered the room, and she really couldn't take everyone trying to help her all the time. However, Jo also knew that Arizona would do everything in her power to help someone. If that meant sacrificing her own happiness, then so be it. It was just who Arizona was.

"Yes. I did. I started telling Paige the story, and Callie left the room. Initially, I thought maybe she was leaving to tell the whole hospital, but after I told Paige everything and got her to agree to try the prosthetic, I left the room and saw Callie standing there waiting. I asked her not to tell anyone, and as I was walking away, she dragged me into the storage closet. She told me that she would never tell anyone and that she left and didn't listen to what I was saying to Paige to give me privacy. She also didn't look at me differently. She didn't look at me with pity. She looked at me in a different way that I can't quite comprehend. It didn't feel as scary or as daunting when I was standing in there with her. I really believe that she won't tell anyone."

"That's great! Why do you still look like you want to puke though? It seems like it couldn't have gone better." Jo stated.

"Because right as Callie was about to leave, I grabbed her arm. We just stood there and stared into each other's eyes for what felt like forever. There's something about her Jo. She's different. She's not who I thought she was at all. But she's straight. I know she felt something in that moment as well, but even if she did, you know I don't go for newborns. But she probably didn't feel anything. It's all in my head and I'm falling for a straight girl, and today has been a mess." Arizona almost screamed the last line as she grabbed a pillow, pulled it to her face, and screamed into it. Jo wasn't able to do anything but sit there and process what her best friend had just said, first that someone else in the hospital knows about her leg, and second that she might actually like Callie Torres of all people. Callie Torres who Arizona had spent countless hours complaining to Jo about.

Before Jo let her brain explode with all the new information, she decided to try and comfort her friend, "You're just confused. You haven't told anyone about your leg in five years. You finally let someone else in the hospital know. You also are reliving some of the worst moments of your life through this girl, and you just needed some comfort. Don't stress yourself out about it too much. These are just misplaced emotions." Jo didn't know if she even believed what she said, but it seemed like Arizona was buying it.

"You're right. It's just been an emotional day. It's been a lot to take in, and on top of it Callie, who I thought was heartless and cold, turns out is actually caring and kind. It just has taken me for a whirlwind. How about we just binge some Veep and get our minds off this crazy day."

"You know I'm always up for a good Veep binge," Jo said while grabbing the remote and setting up the show. The two women sat there and watched TV mindlessly, blocking out the world and all of their problems for the next few hours.
