Chapter 5 Stephanie's Choice

A few days later, Ranger was waiting at the airport to pick Mr. and Mrs. Sherman up.

"Hey, you two, how are you doing?" Ranger asked them

"We are fine, Ranger," Stephanie said as she hugged him.

"Okay, let's get you back to the cave," Ranger said and drove them to Tank's house.

When they got there, all three of them noticed that Tank's house was on fire. Hal was holding Tank's cat.

"What the hell happened to the house?" Tank yelled as he jumped out of the SUV and looked at his house in smoke.

Stephanie was out of the SUV next and went up to Tank. "Pierre, we can rebuild the house. The important thing is that we are here together." Hal came up to them and handed over the tiny black kitten with the white patch on his nose. "Hello, patches, are you all right." Tank asked the little kitten

"Meow," The kitten told him.

"Okay, looks like you two and Patches are going to Rangeman," Ranger said.

"Hal, we are going to Rangeman, so bring the cats," Ranger told him.

When they pulled up to Haywood, all three saw Morelli trying to get into the underground garage.

Tank got out of the SUV. "Morelli, what do you want?" Tank asked him.

"I want to see and speak to Stephanie," Morelli told him.

Stephanie came up to Tank's side. "Hi Joseph, how are you doing? I am delighted with Pierre. Please try to understand." Stephanie told him.

"I wanted to start a family with you," Morelli told her.

"You should not have cheated on me, and besides, I don't want to start a family with you, Joseph. I want to start one with Pierre now, and please leave us alone." Stephanie told him.

Pierre and Stephanie watched Morelli drive away. "Little one, you want to start a family with me."

"Yes, Pierre, I do. I have thought about it, and it seems like a good idea. Starting a family with you. I like the sound of it." Stephanie told him.

"I like that idea too," Pierre told her.

The two of them walked under the gate and went into Rangeman.

"Figures I won't see Tank for a couple of weeks at this rate," Ranger said. He used the key card and drove into the underground parking garage.

They all walked into Rangeman. "Hey Tank, and Ranger we have a lead on who started the fire of your house, Tank," Hal told him.

"Yeah, it was started by a torch with a small thin red lingerie. But that is all we have right now." Hal said.

"Did you say small thin red lingerie?" Stephanie asked Hal.

"Lula," Stephanie and Pierre told everyone at the same time.

"Okay, Tank, take Stephanie up to your apartment and get her settled. I will go have another chat with Lula," Ranger told them.

Tank brought Stephanie upstairs. He used his keys to come in. Stephanie walked into the apartment. She saw a double door fridge and a single sink with a counter next to the sink. She walked into the living room, sat down on the couch, and turned on the tv. Pierre walked up to her. He sat down next to her. Pierre kissed her hard on the lips. She embraced the kiss. He got up and held out his hand. She took his hand and brought her into his bedroom. She looked at the double bed with the nightstand on each side. She saw the walk-in closet. She noticed the door that lead to the bathroom. He picked her up and put her on the bed. He was on top of her in a minute. She took his shirt off and moved her hands down his back. He got her shirt and took her bra off. He started to kiss her breast. She got his cargo pants off with his boxers. He managed to get her jeans and thongs off. "You are so beautiful little one." "I love you so much, Pierre, and I want to be the mother of your children."

"I am glad, and I want to be the father of your children," Pierre told her softly. He entered her gently. After they were done, they fell asleep in each other's arms.

Meanwhile, Ranger went to see Lula at Vinny's Bond. "Let me guess. You want to talk to Lula." Connie told him.

"Yeah," Ranger told her.

Ranger walked into the living area. "Hey, Lula, do you know anything about Tank's house being bombed and flaming to ashes," Ranger asked her.

"Nope, not a clue Ranger, honestly I don't know," Lula said to him.

"Right, I will talk to you soon," Ranger said and then left the bond's office.

A month later, Pierre woke up to a wrenching sound. "Little one," Tank said. He came up to her. He walked up to her. He bent down to her level. "How about we get you cleaned up. We can see Bobby and have him take some blood."

"I don't like needles, and you know that." Stephanie snapped at him,

"I will hold you, and you can put your head in my chest," Pierre told her gently.

"Fine, let's go and get this done with," Stephanie told him.

Pierre helped her up. The two of them got dressed. Pierre was in his Rangeman gear. Stephanie in a pair of jeans. "Oh no," Stephanie said.

"What is it?" Pierre asked her gently. "These jeans are too tight. I can't button them." She told him. She went to her purse and looked at her pocket calendar. "Shit Pierre I am late!" Stephanie yelled.

"Okay, we will talk to Bobby," Pierre said and then went to his closet. He took out one of his Rangeman jackets. "Here, put this on," Pierre told her softly.

Stephanie put his jacket on, and it was twice the sides of her. Pierre pulled the sleeves up on her arms and zipped it up. "Well, it will do," Pierre said, trying not to laugh.
"This is not funny" She started to cry all of a sudden.

"I am sorry little one," Pierre said as he took her in his arms to hold her.

Pierre got on his phone, "Bobby, can you come up to my apartment. Bring your bag for blood work."

Bobby could hear Stephanie crying in the background.

"Okay, time to go see Tank and Stephanie," Bobby said out loud.

"What is going on with Babe?" Ranger asked him.

"Don't know. I am going to find out. You want to come along?" Bobby asked him.

"Yes, let's go," Ranger told him.

They got into the elevator, and Ranger hit four. A few minutes later, they were at Tank's door.

Bobby knocked on the door. "It is open," Tank said.

Stephanie saw Ranger, "I don't want Ranger here." Stephanie yelled.

"Okay, Ranger will go back to work," Pierre said to his wife as he was waving an arm for Ranger to disappear.

"Good luck, Bobby," Ranger said as he left.

"what does he mean by that" Stephanie bawled.

"Nothing, little one," Pierre said.

Bobby walked in okay. "Let's take some blood," Bobby said out loud.

Stephanie stuck her arm out. "Make it fast." She yelled.

A few minutes later, the blood was drawn. "Okay, what am I testing for," Bobby asked them.
"Pregnancy," Pierre told him.

"Okay, I should know in a couple of days. Until then, please try to keep her calm and happy." Bobby said and walked out of the apartment, shaking his head.

"Hey Stephanie, we were seeing each other in secret for the past few months. So I am not surprised that we might be pregnant." Pierre told her.

"I know, but not everyone knows that we were dating for the past few months, Pierre. How are we going to explain this." Stephanie told him.

"We will tell everyone the truth, and they will understand. They are our friends." Pierre told her. He
