I had no idea of the layout either so I put Alcina's room upstairs, now I know it's downstairs. But I'm leaving it as is.

When you finally part from her, you can't help but wonder just how things are going to go.

"Come sit with me," she says as she sits herself on the side of her bed.

You go over and sit yourself down. There's so many questions you need to ask, most of which is what's going on outside the castle walls and why she hasn't done anything about it.

"What do they call you?" she now asks as she looks down on you.

"Luna," you tell her.

"Luna, what a pretty name." She smiles.

"They said it was because of my skin colour," you shrug as you subconsciously fiddle with your fingers on your lap.

It doesn't go unnoticed as Alcina places a hand upon yours.

"Don't be afraid, my child." She soothes you. "I know it's a lot to take in."

"I'm, um, I-"

"It's late, my child. Would you like to sleep?"

"Why do you keep calling me 'child' if you know I'm your daughter?" you ask trying to not mess up your first time meeting your actual mother.

At this she pulls away from you to stand up. That clearly shows you something's off.

"What was I to do?" she asks sounding slightly upset. "I thought my only daughter was lost to me."

You were a little worried about what was to come, you already knew there was chaos here in the castle and that you'd been taken from here. But why, just what were you?

"I thought," her voice cracks slightly and you know you're to blame.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." You apologise.

She turns to you with a smile.

"Don't blame yourself, my -" she cuts herself off. " - darling."

You wouldn't have cared if she called you child again, after all this must be really hard for her to be explaining everything to you.

"I'm actually really tired," you lie, trying to make things a little easier.

She gives a nod.

"We have so much to catch up on, also you'll have to tell me all about your family."

You swallow, but nod.

"I'll be glad to fill you in," you tell her, feeling guilt wash over you.

"They seem very nice to allow you to come see me," she smiles again as she leads you out.

You nod again.

"Yes, they are very nice people."

"I should have them brought up to the castle to thank your saviour personally."

"M-My sister's actually quite sick and my, um, mother is blind." You tell her.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." She sighs, feeling somewhat saddened that you still called her your mother.

"And it's only my brother that knows I came here," you tell her truthfully.

"Ah, I see." She nods. "Well you may come and go as you please. I won't hold you captive here."

"T-Thank you," you smile. "Mother."

"I don't expect you to just add me into your life until you feel comfortable enough with it."

"No, I know I'm different and I feel something with you. I feel like I'm home."

Alcina smiles warmly at you, her hand now cups your cheek delicately.

"You have no idea how much it means to me to know that you feel at home here."

You clearly have no idea just how bad things were going to start getting for you.

"You can have the bedroom across from mine, would you like that? If not there's plenty more rooms, you can-"

"No, I don't mind." You say while shaking your head.

"Then it's settled. Are you in need of anything or will you just be going to sleep?"

Again you shake your head.

"I'll just be going to sleep," you tell her.

"Goodnight, (Y/N)." She smiles as you turn to face her.

"(Y/N)?" you ask her, brows furrowing.

"Sorry," she sighs. "It was a name I was to call you, but I see you're now used to the name given to you by the one's that took you in."

"N-No, I'm sorry. I was just shocked that you actually had a name for me. I like it, I really do. I'm sorry, you may call me (Y/N). Please, mother."

Her facial features soften more now.

"Then goodnight, my little (Y/N)."

Smiling you turn to face the door and head inside. Once you step inside and turn around to close the door, you now see that Alcina has disappeared. You quietly close the door to then head over to the bed. Sitting upon it, you can't help but brush your hand upon the fabric. It's soft, softer than that of yours back home.

"I'm so sorry," you now try to fend off tears, but they just can't be held back.

You throw yourself back against the bed to then curl up, you can't help but cry as you think about your sister, your mother and your brother.

"I'm so sorry," you sniffle.

Alcina who hadn't fully disappeared was stood right beside your door, seeming wondering what she was to do as well. She could clearly tell you were torn between both her and your family. The main problem was her daughters. Yes, she had a big secret she would have to spill and that would then determine whether or not that would keep you here or push you away. Plus how would her daughters react?

"This is not going to end well," she now thought to herself as she pulled off the wall to head off.

She needed a cigarette and a drink.

"Mother," Bela now stood with her arms crossed, watching her mother walk towards her.

"What?" Alcina couldn't help but huff slightly, knowing her daughter could sense the newcomer.

"Who's in the room across from you?"

"A guest," she frowned.

Bela rolled her eyes, knowing she'd get nothing out of her mother like this.

"Disturb her and I will not be happy, do I make myself clear?"

"Yes," Bela frowned as she uncrossed her arms to swarm off down the hall.

Alcina shook her head. She loved her daughters she really did, but things were just going to be hectic around here sooner or later. She could only hope they didn't kill each other in the process.

"What have I gotten myself into?"

Continuing on her way she hoped to drown her sorrows away until tomorrow, when they would resurface yet again with you meeting her daughters. Maybe it would be better to have you meet them one at a time?

"Whatever happens I will not lose you again," she vowed.

oOo

Swarming in to meet up with her sister's, Bela sat herself down on the edge of the desk.

"Something wrong?" Cassandra asked.

"Mother's hiding something," the older daughter frowned.

"Mother's always hiding something," Daniela grinned as she toyed with a bug crawling upon her hand.

"She has someone staying in the room opposite her," Bela frowned.

"A friend?" Daniela asked, giggling as she squashed the bug between her finger and thumb.

Bela shrugged.

"Then what do we do?" Cassandra asks.

"We wait," Bela sighed as she swarmed off to find something to calm herself.

Daniel kicked at the ground beneath him, his mind wandering on what to tell his mother. You were gone, for how long he didn't know. Hell did you even know?

"I rescued you from that place and you go right back," he huffs as he kicks a rock.

The door now opens and his mother stands in the doorway.

"Daniel, is that you?" she asks.

"Yeah, it's me." He sighs.

"And Luna?"

"No, let's go back inside. I have something to tell you."

She heads back in as Daniel follows on after.

"What happened out there?" she now asks. "I heard howls and a horse cry out."

"Yeah," Daniel can only sigh as he takes a seat. "Those wild dogs again, they attacked a horse. Luna wanted to save it, but it was too far gone."

"What happened? Is Luna alright?" She questioned rather worried for the outcome.

"Um, yeah, she's fine."

"Daniel, where is she?"

"She's staying with the old couple in the village," he quickly lies. "They, um, had a break in and Luna wanted to stay with them."

"Oh, I'm glad she's alright then."

The chair scrapped along the floor as he now stood to head to his room, he stopped before the door to tell his mother one last thing.

"I'll be starting work again down at the mill tomorrow."

"Are you sure you're up for it?"

"Yeah, I can't leave it up to Luna to bring in the pay."

"I know, but if you're up to it then I'll let it slip. Just be sure to tell Luna to call home once in a while."

"Yeah, I will." He nodded as he headed out.

Once you'd got what you could out of your system you head over to the window to look down at the village below. You can picture yourself walking the usual route every morning to work. Even back to the times you and Daniel walked to the shops and back.

"I asked for this," you remind yourself. "I wanted this, but I never thought of the consequences."

You turn to look at the door, Alcina's words replaying in your mind.

'You may come and go as you please. I won't hold you captive here."

"Would you be able to slip out right now or would that seem too rude? Especially if she caught you.

"I don't know what to do?" you sigh as you head back over to the bed and sit upon it.

You lie down and try to sleep, but the noises you hear are quite strange. Just what was going on in this place?

"Just try and get through tonight and see what happens tomorrow," you force yourself to settle down.

Closing your eyes, you eventually find you've actually fallen asleep. Waking the following morning is rather strange as you're in unfamiliar territory. A knock at your door has you turning towards it a little sleepily.

"Come in," you yawn.

The door opens and a large figure ducks underneath to then straighten up.

"I hope I didn't wake you too early?"

You shake your head.

"I'll get used to it."

A smile graces her face once again.
