"It's funny how we accepted him into our home, but we didn't care. He was warm and trusting, and his smile always brightened up our day. We had so many memories, me, mom and him, we had the bestest of times whenever he was around. He was the reason I continued to become a hero. He was the reason my mom found love again. It's funny, he would always say 'I never break a promise. It's my nindo, my ninja way!'. We knew he told the truth as he had never broken a promise before...he always keep his promises... No matter what..."
Naruto was currently holding a long, thin sword in his hand, eyes forced on the enemy in front of him. "Izuku…" he heard his name being called. "... I need you to grab your mother and wait for my signal, when I get him away, you run to Mizuki's house. Got it?" Izuku was still dazed from the explosion, so it was hard for him to think straight. "Izuku! Do you hear me!" That seemed to snap his mind into place.
"What about you?" Izuku said, looking up at Naruto's back. He could hear Naruto chuckle before he got lower and tightened his grip. "I promised, didn't I?" And just like that, Naruto appeared behind the Ōtsutsuki and slashed down… only to be stopped by his hand. "That's not going to work on me, I can see your movements."
For an unknown reason, Naruto was getting irritated at his calm and overconfident voice. "I just needed to get behind you." And they were gone, leaving the two in the burning house. It was then that heroes started to arrive on the scene, rescuing the people from their room they were trapped in.
Deep in the forest a loud explosion shocked the ground and uprooted the surrounding trees. "He's too strong, we need another approach then up close attacks!"
"I know, but if he's anything like Kaguya then he can absorb and send back my chakra attacks! I don't know how to even beat this guy, he can practically predict my every move with his eyes!" Naruto had no idea how to go about winning this, he was already getting his ass kicked as it was. "There might be a way, but it's a ninety-nine percent guarantee death after use!"
"Is this all you got, I'm truly disappointed. I thought you would be strong but it seems that you just got lucky." He cast his eyes as Naruto stood up from the created, his wounds already healed. "Don't worry, after I kill you I'll send those two to you."
"You will not touch them! Kurama!" It was then that Isshiki felt it, power that was on par if not rivaled his own, come from the man.
The amount of power Naruto now held was so much that the ground cracked and trembled, the air seemed scared as it shook due to the pure pressure of it all. The Ōtsutsuki God watched as Naruto was covered in what looked like a cloak of chakra, but was something he had never seen before.
Naruto stood at six and half feet tall, his white hair was a mixture of colors and his eyes shined, his Byakugan and Rinne-Sharingan blazing with power, anger and determination. His clothes also changed from his normal white t-shirt and black Anbu pants to a long white cloak that split off into what looked like nine different tails; each tail was one tail of each Bijū, having a color glow to them. His whisker marks got bigger and bolder, and Naruto was amazed at the amount of power he now had.
"You have only ten minutes in this form, and in that time you can not waste any movements as it is combining all ten of our chakra together." Understanding the importance of what Kurama said, Naruto dashed to meet Ōtsutsuki and punched him to the ground.
'Impossible! I can't see him move and that hit… I felt like he took some of my chakra!' Isshiki thought, wiping the blood from his mouth. Before he could stand up, Naruto appeared above him and delivered his sword into the ground where Isshiki barely moved in time.
And that was how it went, with each solid hit upon Isshiki, he felt more and more of his chakra fading and something else. While Isshiki was able to land some solid hits, Naruto would instantly heal and change again.
Eight minutes had passed and while Isshiki was tired, bruised and bloody, he could tell Naruto was on his last legs. Naruto himself knew he wouldn't be able to last much longer either as he prepared his most powerful and last move, using as much chakra left.
"This will be your last attack you will be able to make, Naruto." Kurama's voice rang in his head. "What better way than to go out using my most precious jutsu combined with all nine of you in it!" Suddenly his cloak-like tails all started to grow and stretch, growing as big as the trees that now no longer surrounded the area. Focusing the last of his chakra, Naruto began to form a round circle each with a different element and color.
It only took a few seconds before he finished preparing his jutsu. Oh, how they radiated power and destruction, and Isshiki could see it too. 'Less than a Minute left… gotta hurry!' Blood leaked out the side of his mouth, splashing on the ground.
This was it, this was his final moment.
Bending his knees, Naruto began soaring through the air towards Isshiki who in turn was flying towards him, a black staff in his hands aimed at his enemy. It was then that he saw him, outside the destroyed area at the tree line. 'Izuku…' he thought, a smile forming on his face, as he remembered something.
It had been a year after he started to become part of the Midoriya family, and they were all have having a family picnic. Naruto and Izuku were carrying the picnic things following Inko, who seemed to be looking for a great place to sot down and eat. "How come you're not a hero even though your strong?" Izuku said, stepping over a tree root. Naruto chuckled at, fixing his gaze ar the woman in front of him then to the small child beside him. "What makes a hero a hero isn't their strength or speed or even quirk, everyone has their limits ans thats alright, we'll human. but what makes a hero a hero is his or her dedication to saving people withput anything in reward, and helping out those who are weaker then others." He then corrected his gaze up at the sky, a sad smile on his face. "I'm not a hero because I have the physical characteristics of one, but because I don't need to be one. I have you and Inko-chan to take care of, and thats all that matters." Izuku thought aboit what he said and Naruto could sense his confusion. "Let me tell you something, there is only one way to become strong and is something you ahould always remember. If fight for someone, those that are precious to you, then you can become truly strong. Always remember that Izuku, fight foe those that are important to you." Izuku nodded, grining at the older man. "This is the perfect spot boy, lets set up and eat!" Inko said to them, pointing to a clearimg up ahead.
'It's for them. It's so he can achieve his dream. It's so Inko could see her son and know he was alright. It's so…'
"It's so they can live another day! Forbidden Art: Nine Bijūdama Rasenshuriken!"
Earlier
Izuki had seen his father disappear and took this time to grab his mother and bring her outside, carrying her in his hands . Once outside, Izuku could see ambulances and police cars encircle the front of the building, while some water-based heroes controlled the fire and others healing the injured. A hero was running up to them as they had seen Izuki carry his mother out of the building.
He quickly handed her over to one of the hero's he recognized but was still shocked by what he had just witnessed. He finally snapped out of it when he felt a hand shake him a little, seeing that the hero was trying to talk to him. "Are you ok, young man?"
"Oh..ah…" he didn't know what to say or do, but one word seemed to cross mind at that time. "Dad!", and he was off, chakra pumping through his legs. He didn't know where they would have gone but it seemed like his legs knew, so he ran in whatever direction they did.
He arrived far out into the woods and he could hear faint explosions and how the ground trembled along. Going towards where the explosions were getting louder, he could also feel such tremendous power, power that rivaled the mysterious man that suddenly appeared.
Izuku could make out what looked to be the end of the treeline, and stopped just out there. He saw the area burden of any life and the air felt different, like it was afraid.
He looked up where he saw two powerful and frightening people, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki and Uzumaki Naruto. Izuku could tell he looked different, but he was focused on the jutsu Naruto was using and how it radiated power.
That was when he heard it, "It's so they can live another day! Forbidden Art: Nine Bijūdama Rasenshuriken!"
What came next was silence before an explosion erupted, shaking the ground and nearest city to its core. Izuku was flown back by the shock wave that followed and he could feel the destructive power, before it stopped.
After a few seconds, Izuku was sprinting toward the explosion and scared out of his mind. Only one thought was floating in his mind, 'Please be ok, dad!'
As he arrived, he could make out Naruto in the far distance. Once he arrived by his side, Izuku went to his knees, eyes looking over him.
He was relieved to see the man he had come to call father cracked open his eyes and speak in a quiet voice. "I promised to… protect you two…" his voice strained and tired.
"You did it, I knew you could!" Tears sliding down his face. Naruto let out a forced chuckle, wincing by the pain in his chest. "I wanted… to see you grow… into a proud and amazing man…*cough cough*... I wanted to spend… more time with Inko… to see you two...smile and laugh…" tears now sliding down his face, staring at the sky that was beginning to be covered by dark clouds.
"Wh-what are you saying, of… of course you will… mom and you… you… you going to...take her to Paris...re-remember … watch me...become a h-hero…" choking on his words, as if he was denying the truth of it all. "You...you still have to protect us!... you pr-promised...PLEASE!" he shouted, burying his head into Naruto's chest. Rain started to pour down on the two, as if the world was crying itself.
"You know… your birthday, it's today…"
"I don't care, I just want you to stay with us!"
"I can't do that...son…*cough cough*... Your present...it's in the desk… in the basement. I finished it yesterday, it might look small… but...it'll grow on you…*cough cough*...There's also a gift… a small box… for Inko...give it to her...ok." Naruto chuckled, coughing a bit more. Izuku only gripped his shirt harder.
"There's one more… present that...that I have to... give you…" having what little chakra he had left, Naruto's five fingers glowed a little blue before he pressed them on Izuku's chest. 'Uzumaki Sealing Art: Extraction Transfer' Izuku's whole body started to burn up, pain riddled through his body as if something was entering his body forcefully.
"They will...guide you on...your path… *cough cough*...goodbye everyone…" Naruto closed his eyes and a smile on his lips, and for a moment everything stopped. His body started to elluminate, turning into thousands upon thousands of tiny sparkles that rose up into the parted sky before everything resumed again.

When Izuku opened his eyes, he noticed that he was in an extremely white room that smelled of disinfecting chemicals. He could also hear light snoring sounds on his left, where he saw an all too familiar green hair. "Mom?" He wasn't exactly sure what had happened as his mind was still too foggy to remember anything.
It seemed that she had woken up due to his whisper, something she had now grown used to. "Izuku you're awake!", she cried as she hugged him with all her might. He chuckled at his mother's behavior, but hugged her all the same. It was after they separated that he noticed there was a person missing, Naruto, and his chest hurt thinking about it. 'Why does my chest feel heavy and cold?'
Inko didn't know what to say, she hadn't come to terms with it and she doubted she'll ever move on from him, Naruto was what she would call a soul mate. "He, uh… Naruto…" she was honestly lost for words, not knowing what actually happened to him. "...He is currently missing. It's been two weeks since the incident, honey." She wanted to cry, to break down and hide forever, but she couldn't, not when her baby boy was currently going to go through.
Izuku looked confused, before he started to remember everything. The mysterious man, the house exploding, then the fight and… "He's gone… he promised to protect us...and he did…but…but…" tears sliding down his face, and Inko could understand what he meant. So for the rest of the afternoon they cried for him, the man who gave them happiness, the man they called father and lover, their shinobi hero.
It was another week before Izuku left the hospital heading to their new home, since their apartment complex was destroyed and everything in it. He was currently laying on his bed looking at photos and videos of him, not wanting to forget the man who gave him hope. He was scrolling till he landed a photo of them, they were standing in front of a house surrounded by trees and it took him a few seconds before he remembered.
"I can't do that...son… *cough cough*... Your present...it's in the desk… in the basement. I finished it yesterday, it might look small… but...it'll grow on you…*cough cough*...There's also a gift… a small box… for Inko...give it to her...ok."
Izuku realized that he had forgotten about it due to his death and being in the hospital, but he knew he needed to know. He grabbed a random shirt that was on the ground and quickly ran out of his room to find his mom washing dishes. "Mom!"
Not even five minutes later were they out of the house and driving towards the last place that held any meaning of Naruto. It took thirty minutes for them to arrive at the woods and another twenty of walking til they saw it, the house he built. As they got closer they felt a presence go pass them, and in front of them stood him. He was smiling back at them before he entered the house and it took them a second before they quickly approached the door and entered.
Everything was the same, not a speck of dust or mold. The floor was shiny clean and the inside still shone bright, the furniture was still where it was since he had seen it. He could see the pictures of the three of them, all when he was younger and the earlier years Naruto was with them.
They then looked to the hidden door and saw him again before disappearing down below, and they followed. It was weird as they could practically feel him within the house, his clam and radiating energy seeping into their very hearts. As they traveled down the stairs, they stayed quiet and just stayed focused. As they opened the door and walked in, they saw the desk and the gifts wrapped. One was a box no bigger than the palm of a hand, it was wrapped up in white paper with blue roses, her favorite. The other one was bigger and was wrapped in hero paper, a note was attached to it.
"The small one, he said it was for you." Izuku said, grabbing it and handing it to her, before he turned his attention to the other wrapped gift. As his hand reached for it, his hand hesitated, nerves eating at his heart. Calming down he laid his hand down and carefully ripped the paper and opened the box's flaps. Tears and wide eyes as he saw the last gift he would ever get him, the last and most precious gift he would most likely ever get.
He slowly lowered down his hands and grabbed the first object on top, which happened to be a midnight black cloak without the hood. Underneath that was black baggy pants that Naruto always were and a sleeveless shirt that had a face cover that covered his mouth and below. Under all of that was another gift wrapped in white paper, and he could tell it wasn't clothes. As he grabbed it, Izuku could tell it was made of hard material but was light as a feather and curved around the ends. It was a plain grey color mask that fit Izuku's face perfectly when he tried it on, it was comfortable and he could see right through it… wait what! 'I can see through it!?' Taking it off, he noticed a note at the very bottom folded and addressed to him.'
Dear son,
Happy tenth birthday, In case something happens and I'm not around at the moment, this will help explain the outfit. With you having chakra, normal hero clothes and gears won't be of any good, so I made you a hero suit myself. I understand if you don't want to wear it, but if you are, then here. The clothes are specially made to grow with your body and with stand damage from outside forces as well chakra attacks. The mask is see through thanks to a seal written on it, it will allow you to eat and drink with it on too, cool, right! Anyways, it will also allow for voice changes, and it can even take the face of animals, something I thought would be cool to have. The color scheme is based of shinobi wear on my world, to help blend in and easy to move around. You did say the cloak I wear was cool, so I made one for you, just without a hood. Again happy B-day son.'
'Thanks father! I'll wear it for you and all that you have trusted in me. I swear on my life of a hero, I'll inherit your nindo and your legacy will not go in vain!'
Few minutes ago
Inko was handed a small gift box from her son, and she knew it was from Naruto due to how it was wrapped. 'Only you will do something so corny, but I loved that about you." Wiping a tear, she started to unwrap to find a box that had a fake blue rose on the top of a black box. Unlike her son, she opened it carefully and her eyes widened. Inside were two simple red and blue rings of different sizes, with a folded not attached to the inside of the top.
Take five:
Midoriya Inko, for the past few years, you and your son have open a world I never knew about and I don't mean in the literal new world thing. You gave me home, food, and a friend within your son. I don't remember when I fell for you, but I'm positive it was from the first time I saw you and how you cared so much for Izuku. Over time, we started dating and it was the best time for me. What I'm trying to say is, will you marry.
While she wanted to laugh at how he could be an idiot, the overwhelming feeling to cry was too great. She took both rings in her shaky hands and held them close to her heart, promising to always hold them close to her at all times. 'You will be the only man for me, Naruto. I'll raise our son to the best of my abilities, supporting him in anything he wants, just like you would have.' Inko was on her knees crying, but she was happy they had something other than pictures and videos. Now they have something physically connected to him.
It took them a while to calm down but stray tears still fell. They were about to head out when Izuku remembered there was another letter, one that's addressed to both of them. He told Inko and she nodded, deciding to read and most likely cry in the living room.
Dear Son and Lover
If you are both reading this, then sorry. I'm sorry for all the pain, sadness, or even anger you may have towards me, but I want you to understand it was not either of you.
Inko and Izuku were standing in front of the house with smiles on their faces before heading back through the woods.
I just want you two to know that it has been my happiest when I was with you, you both were my everything and always will be.
As they got in and started driving, they had small smiles and tears in their eyes, but determination and hope within them too.
I fear that someone is coming for me which might end up involving you two, something I don't have the heart to want.
"Dad was the best when we felt scared and alone, and even now, he still managed to help us see the light."
I wish I could spend more time with you two and make more precious memories…
"Naruto was always caring and kind, but you should have seen it when someone try to hit on me, he was so mad that I almost felt kinda sorry for the poor man."
I wanted to protect you both with my entire being, but now that I'm writing this, I know you two will know how to handle this…
"Here, he would have wanted you to have it."
So I guess it's time to say goodbye…
"Are you sure it's fine, it was left for you mother?"
Goodbye Inko, Izuku…
"I'm sure. After all…" she started"
I love you two and always will"
"He loved us." He finished.
How was it? sad? Did it make you want to make you fall to your knees and cry your heart out, wishing our Uzumaki shinobi hero was going to somehow live through it all and continue to live with the Midoriya family!? Or was it sad but also a great way to honor our shinobi we all love and share? Either way, I hope everyone enjoyed it.I honestly have no idea what to say about this chapter other than what I just wrote above.
So I'll part here. Bye!
... oh one more thing, another time skip. this one will be where Izuku's his 3rd year of jr.high. which also ends this portion of the flashbacks. I will have Kurama explain why they lived and Naruro didnt just in case anyone was wondering, since in the Manga Naruto lived and Kurama died.
Naruto wrote that last letter just in case as he felt something was going to happen, and incase it didnt happen, he would have taken the note and burned it.
