BACK TO BEGINNING
Thank you to all my reviewers and readers in the last chapter. It means a lot.
CHAPTER 5: Rhythm and blues.
"Good morning Lynette." Said a man wearing a white lab coat.
"Good morning Mr. Cranston." Said a young, beautiful lady with a South African accent.
"Oh sweet Lynette, I told you to just call me Billy remember." Billy noticed the young lady looked kind of shocked. "You can call me whatever you want dear." He added, wanting to make sure the relatively new member of staff was comfortable.
The young receptionist shyly smiled and nodded her head. "Thank you Sir."
Billy smiled back whilst retrieving his ID badge from his breast pocket, "Is Daniel here yet?" He asked, swiping his badge across a large glass door.
"Yes, he is in the lab Mr. Cranston." The receptionist replied.
"Thank you Lynette." Billy said before turning back for a second. "And why don't you take a break. It must get boring sitting there all day."
"I've only been here for a couple of hours sir," Lynette saw Billy's puzzled expression and quickly changed her mind. "Thank you Mr. Cranston, I will do."
"There's a lovely café just around the corner. Get whatever you fancy and just put it on my tab." Billy said with a smile as the door closed and he was met with a strong gust of air, de contaminating him. The door on the side, leading to the lab opened and he stepped through.
"Good morning William." A man around the same age as Billy said, looking up for a fraction of a second before turning his attention back to the hunk of metal in front of him.
"William, really?" Billy walked over to the man who had just bid him good morning. "How's the prototype looking?"
"Man, I mean I swear I calculated the self sustaining fission reaction correctly, but it's just not as invariable as I thought it would be." The man replied, taking off his goggles and looking at Billy.
Billy stood next to his colleague and ran a test on the product in question. "Oh Daniel, you get paid brilliant money and you don't even know your ohm's law. The voltage needs adjusting by 2."
Daniel took another look and smiled at Billy. "Wow, such a simple mistake. That's why you're the boss Cranston."
Billy smiled at him and moved over to his desk and logged onto his computer, he had some outstanding paperwork to complete before he could move on and test the artificial limb that Daniel was now adjusting.
"How is Marge?" Daniel asked, putting on his goggles once again following a quick glance at his colleague.
"She's well, thanks for asking." Billy replied, getting started on his work.
"So I'm guessing you haven't told her then," Daniel asked.
Billy let out a deep sigh and closed his eyes. "It's not so easy Dan. Me and Marge have been together for a couple years now, it's a really difficult thing to throw at someone, especially when they love you so much."
"I fully understand that, it must be very difficult, and I know she means a lot to you. But don't you think she deserves the truth. The earlier you tell her, the easier it'll be." Daniel turned to look at Billy who had opened his eyes and looked back, "That's if you still feel the same way as-"
Billy interrupted Daniel and furrowed his brows. "Of course, I still feel the same way. Do you think I can just turn it off like some automaton?"
"I guess not." Daniel replied, turning back to his project once more.
"It's easy for you. All your friends and family know, nobody knows about me. Hell, even I have yet to come totally in terms with it." Billy blinked rapidly a few times and turned his attention to the computer screen in front of him.
"You still haven't told your friends?"
Billy shrugged his shoulders, "What do I say, oh hey guys, guess what. I'm gay! I'm supposed to marry the only girl who's ever been interested in me, but all I can think about is my colleague called Daniel."
"Geez Bill." Daniel took off his goggles and protective gloves and walked over to Billy, who in turn looked up at him, still sat down behind his computer. "You've been friends with them for practically all your life. Do you honestly believe they won't support you?"
Billy gave Daniel a little smile, "I know they'll support me. I love them and they love me. They're just so happy to see me with Marge and it would be such a huge shock to them."
"Well I believe if your tell them how you truly feel, I think they'll be even happier for you." Daniel placed his hand on Billy's shoulder before moving back to his work station.
"You're right. It's just difficult to process Danny. I think I've just about come to terms with it by now, I'll try and tell them today, I think with their support, I might be able to find the strength to tell Marge in about what? Fifteen years," Billy chuckled slightly, drawing a smile from Daniel.
"I hope it'll be sooner than that. But I want you to be happy Billy. I'll back you whatever you decide to do, because I love you, and seeing you happy will be more than enough for me. If telling Marge will destroy you both, then I'd rather you didn't. I'll still be here and I'll still support you. The decision is yours to make."
Billy let out a huge sigh and attempted to focus as much as he could at the task at hand, his brain wrecked with a thousand thoughts, all having a standoff in his mind like a classic western. He silently hoped that the thought of telling his friends would win that particular shootout. Billy blocked his thoughts as much as he could and began typing.
"Good morning gorgeous."
Kimberly Anne Hart opened her eyes and was met with an already awake and dressed Jason, clutching a cup of coffee.
"Hey handsome," she smiled back. "What time is it?"
Jason quickly checked his watch, "Nearly 8am, I gotta get going soon baby. It's my first day and I wanna be early." Jason replied, having a large, final gulp of the coffee and setting his empty cup on a bedside table and sitting down on the side of their bed, reaching over and pressing his lips on Kim's forehead.
Kimberly smiled and stared into his eyes. "Are you up to it though? How's your shoulder?" She asked, darting her eyes down at his shoulder before bringing them back up to his face.
"I feel pretty good." Jason noted Kimberly's suspicious expression, "I'll be fine, I promise. I managed to pick you up a few times last night remember." He added, tilting his head slightly so their eyes were level.
Kimberly felt herself blush, "God, what do you do to me." She murmured, finding it hard to keep their gaze.
"Me? What do you do to me? You turn me into an animal!" Jason countered.
"Yes because of you, you turn me into an animal first. I would've never in a million years have ever thought I'd do some of the crazy stuff that we do in bed." Kimberly bit her bottom lip. "And other places." She added.
"Yeah, but you like it right?" Jason asked, inching closer.
Kimberly pushed herself towards him and placed her lips onto his, "No, I love it." She lingered for a few seconds before finally giving him the kiss he wanted so badly.
"Right, you better stop this cuz I gotta go."
Kimberly giggled, being caught red handed. "Sorry baby. Have an amazing first day at work."
"You best be sorry." Jason gave her one last kiss and stood up from the bed. "Thanks. You get some more sleep. I'm sorry I woke you up."
Kimberly yawned loudly and stretched out her arms whilst sitting up against the soft headboard. "It's okay. I better get up and start sorting out apartment out. And maybe look for a job too."
"What about the florists, aren't you going there?" Jason said, putting on his shoes and a coat, referring to a job Kimberly found recently.
"Yeah I mean it's nice. You know I love flowers and weddings and parades and stuff, but it's only part time. We gotta both chip in equally if we plan on having the wedding I have in mind." Kimberly said.
"Oh god. It's going to be quite excessive, isn't it?" Jason asked.
"Yep. But once we get into our rhythm, I think it'll be breeze." Kimberly replied, getting out of bed and moving towards Jason.
"Yeah, I hope so." Jason pulled Kimberly into a big hug. "I'll see you tonight okay. Message me if you need anything." Jason said, picking up his duffle bag.
"All I need is you." Kimberly said, keeping her eyes on her boyfriend.
Jason opened the door to their new apartment with a grin on his face and stopped as he exited, "Cheesy." He said with a laugh and one last look at the love of his life.
"I love you."
"I love you too." Jason said before closing the door behind him, leaving Kimberly to go into the kitchen to make herself a coffee.
September 1983.
"Fight fight fight fight fight fight"
A chorus of shouts and words of incitement were ringing around the playground at Angel Grove elementary.
"You fight like a girl," A young dark blonde boy no older than 6 said as the other boy he was fighting, let go of his hair.
"Shut up Brad. I do not." The boy with dark brown hair said.
"Yes you do. You're a wuss, Scott." Brad said, managing to land a fist on the other boy.
Jason Scott winced in pain as the fist landed dangerously close to his eye. "Ouch." He yelled in pain.
Brad smiled with satisfaction. "See. I told you. Wuss!"
"Alright. Break it up, break it up!" A bespectacled teacher came running through the crowd of first and second graders and easily managed to separate the two brawling youngsters.
"Jason. Come with me." The teacher said.
"But Mr. James." Jason's started, being pushed away from the crowd and towards the school building.
"Don't Mr James me young man." Mr. James turned to a teacher next to him. "Watson, take young Brad to the principals office. Mr. Scott will be joining him soon." The teacher turned back to Jason as they reached the school doors and Jason was ushered inside.
"That's the second time this week Jason. You know I'll have to contact your parents. What's going on with you?" The teacher asked, disappointment plastered on his face.
"It's not my fault Brad calls me names."
"No. That's not your fault. But what is in your control is the actions you take. Fighting is not always the right action." Mr. James said, placing a gentle hand on Jason's shoulder.
"But sir, I can take the name-calling but Brad and his gang said some really bad things to Zack."
"Then come tell me or any other teacher and we will sort it."
"I know but they keep calling us girls and wimps and wusses and other nasty stuff."
"It's better to be a wimp and a wuss than to end up in trouble. If you don't stop this fighting, you may be fighting for the rest of your life. And that always ends in trouble."
"I'm sorry sir. Him and Bulk just upset everyone." Jason said as Mr. James began to walk him further into the school and towards the principals office.
"Who's Bulk?" The teacher asked.
"Farkas."
"Ah, Farkas Bulkmeier. Is that a name he chose or are you now the one name-calling?"
"No sir, everyone calls him Bulk."
"And you got your ass whooped!"
"Mason! Watch your language." Jeanette Scott screamed at her husband.
"It's bad enough you're getting into fights at school Jason. But the fact that you're getting beaten up and basically bullied. You need to toughen up!" Mason Scott shouted.
Jason sunk into the chair at the kitchen table, keeping an ice cube on his cheek.
"How do you suppose he toughens up when there's multiple bullies attacking our son." Mrs. Scott asked.
"I think we need to send him to Dustin." Mr. Scott responded.
"Really. Karate? That'll make him fight even more." Mrs. Scott said.
Jason's eyes widened when he heard the word karate. He could definitely benefit from learning some ass kicking moves.
"No Jean. Dustin does a karate style that teaches self defense and discipline. He's been doing it since I met him at elementary."
"Yes please mom. I want to go." Jason pleaded.
"You want to go for what Jase?" his mum questioned.
Jason chose his next words very carefully as they could determine the outcome of the situation. "To learn how to defend myself and stay out of trouble."
"Aaaaah Mason Scott, my old friend. How are you?"
Jason watched as his dad embraced a long, dark haired, moustache supporting man wearing what looked like a white bath robe. Though Jason saw these robes on TV on people like Chuck Norris.
"Hey Dustin. I'm good. How are you buddy. It's been a while." Mr. Scott replied.
"I'm great thank you. Yeah it's been what, two years according to my awful memory. Still hitting the gym I see." The man in the karate gi replied, ending their embrace and squeezing Mr. Scott's arms.
"Two years, Christopher's bachelor party." Jason's dad replied with a sheepish grin.
"Oh yeah. A night to ummm, forget. This must be Jason." The man replied bending down and shaking Jason's hand.
"Hello Sir." Jason said, unsure how to feel. This man was a karate master according to his dad. But he seemed so friendly and well, normal.
"Me and your pa here are old friends." Dustin said, nodding his head towards Mason. "He tells me that you would like to learn some karate."
"Oh yes sir."
"Well, do you know what karate is about?" Dustin asked young Jason.
"Well, umm, Self defence?"
Dustin patted Jason on the shoulder. "Well answered Jason. There's many aspects to Karate and self defence is definitely one of them. I will teach you all of the brilliant moves and techniques of karate but also how karate can help you live your life. Does that sound good?"
"Yes sir. It does." Jason replied, eyeing up all the various posters around the outside of the large building, showcasing karate moves, mottos and information.
"Excellent. And I'm no sir, you can call me Dustin, and once you join my classes, it'll be sensei."
"What does that mean." Jason asked, totally bewildered.
Dustin lead Jason into the dojo as he winked at Mason. "It means teacher or instructor in Japanese. Japan is where Karate was invented you know."
"No way. Really." Jason asked, walking past the wooden door painted red and inside the dojo.
"Yes way. Oh there's so much I can teach you Jason. You just have to promise me one thing?"
"What's that sir."
"You must stick to the rules, and pay attention to nearly every thing I say and do inside the dojo."
"I will sir. But what's a dojo."
2002
Jason Lee Scott got off his Harley Davidson motorcycle and looked around the large brick building that was the angel grove martial arts centre. It looked very similar to how he remembered it. A rush of memories flooded his mind.
He remembered the first time he came here years ago yet, it felt like only yesterday. He was feeling slightly nervous but also at ease at the thought of teaching karate at the same dojo he learnt the beautiful art.
The former red ranger took one last look around the building's parking lot before heading towards the entrance. The doors had been changed drastically. They were now made out of what appeared to be armored or bullet resistant glass, this went well with the many windows encased within the walls of the dojo.
Jason pushed the handle of the door but to his surprise, it was locked. He searched around and his eyes fell on a buzzer which he pressed.
"Angel Grove martial arts, how may we help?" Said a female voice from the receiver.
"Umm hello. My name is Jason Lee Scott, I'm here to, well, I'm-"
Jason was interrupted by the rather excited voice from inside. "You're the new Sensei. Hey, I'll buzz you in."
"Thanks." Jason said, wondering why the lady sounded so excited.
Jason heard a click and walked inside the building he hadn't seen for a decade. Ahead of him was a long, thin crimson carpet on a marble floor, leading to a seating area to left of the reception in front of him. As he took a few steps forward, he noticed some rooms to his right. He counted four separate rooms, each was a fully equipped gym with grapple mats, heavy bags, dummies and other training equipment. It was definitely different to his years spent here in the 80s.
"Hello. So you're Jason Scott huh."
Jason had arrived at the reception and looked up to see a pretty, red haired lady who was stood up with her hand extended. Jason shook her hand and offered her a polite smile. "I am. Ummm hi."
The young receptionist smiled back with her face flashing bright red momentarily. "I'm sorry. You're a bit of a legend around here." The receptionist smiled sheepishly. "We've been awaiting your arrival. Sensei Taylor is so excited, he was two hours early today. And trust me, he's never that early."
"Wow. Geez, I don't know what to say." Jason replied.
"Yep. Sensei was right. You're definitely humble." The redhead said, raising her eyebrows slightly. "Let me get him for you." The receptionist pressed a button on the desk in front her. "Sensei Taylor, sensei Scott has arrived."
It was now Jason's turn to feel his face blush slightly. "Just call me Jason."
"Okay Jason. But I also take classes, so I might have to call you sensei at some point."
"Jason Bruce Lee Scott."
Jason turned his head to his right to see his old Sensei stood outside one of the rooms and walk briskly over to him, bowing quickly (Jason bowing too) before pulling the once superhero into a strong hug.
"Sensei, it's been too long." Jason replied, gently squeezing his old sensei back.
"You're damn right kid. You turn into a karate master and forget all about your old sensei huh?" Dustin said, releasing his old student and folding his arms slightly.
"As if I'd ever forget you sensei. Even though you've gone grey and aged a bit." Jason said with a little smirk noticing his old sensei's grey moustache and receding hair.
"Why you cheeky little monkey. I'm a silver fox, get that right." Sensei Taylor said, causing them both to laugh.
"You've majorly upgraded this place. It looks amazing."
"Thank you, Jason. I hope you've been treated well so far ." The sensei asked, a mischievous grin on his face. "I kinda go on about you. These guys are sick of hearing about you."
"Well it's about time we finally meet the legend." The receptionist said, throwing Jason a smile.
Jason didn't know what to say to all this, so he just smiled at the two people in front of him.
"Come with me. Let me show you around." Jason's sensei proposed.
"Yes sir."
"Hey ummm. I'm Peyton by the way. If you ever need anything, anything at all. Just let me know." The receptionist called out as Jason began to follow Dustin Taylor.
"Thank you Peyton." Jason replied with an appreciative smile.
The two men walked down the building past a couple of the rooms on the right hand side. One was full of young kids whilst a class was going on. "You're like a celebrity to these kids you know Scott. And it's mainly my fault, so if it gets annoying. Blame me." Sensei Taylor said, motioning towards the class who the majority of, were staring at Jason and Dustin through the windows.
Jason was still totally surprised and just chuckled in response.
"This is your class room Jason." Sensei Taylor said, opening the door to the last room in the building. They both entered the rather large room and Jason couldn't help but smile as he looked down at the blue and red mats on the floor. There was absolutely everything in this room required to teach martial arts. Protective padding, gloves and mitts, heavy bags, punch dummies, skipping ropes, a few dumbbells, and even a white board with markers. And to his total shock, a framed picture of Jason's was high up on the wall.
"Wow, sensei, I don't know what to say. And that picture of me. There's no need."
"No need? Jason Scott. You were the best fighter and martial artist that lived in angel grove from what? '90' to '94'?" The sensei said, rendering Jason speechless. "You were that good, that after I awarded you your black belt. You began helping me teach the students and became an independent sensei at like 15 years old."
"I know but."
"There are no buts kid. You destroyed all the competition from Angel Grove to stone canyon to the entire west coast. You my son, you are a certified legend." Dustin Taylor said. Clapping Jason on the shoulder.
"Thank you, Sensei. I'm just honored that you hold me in such high regard. Everyone's opinion matters, but yours matters the most sir. Thank you." Jason said.
"No need to thank me kid. The first day your dad brought you here. I knew you would be special." Said the Sensei.
"Really. I sucked remember." Jason said with a chuckle.
"Oh I remember. You certainly sucked." The two men began to laugh, remembering Jason's first karate lesson. "But, your determination to succeed was evident and boy, you picked it up so quickly."
"Thank you, sensei. It was because of you."
The conversation was interrupted by what sounded like a stampede from outside the classroom.
"Here they come. Jason, I've assigned you the junior 9am class. Please don't take offence to this. It's to give you a steady start and help ease you into the role." Dustin said, peering of the window.
"How many are there?" Jason asked following his teacher to the windows and watching as at least a hundred students of all ages came bustling into the dojo.
"Well ummm, there's quite a few teens that have joined since they heard you were coming here. I kinda advertised it a little bit. I hope you don't mind." The sensei gave Jason a little wink.
"Always the businessman." Jason replied just as a horde of potential students came towards the door
Kimberly Hart was sat on the couches in the living room. She had spent majority of the day organizing the furniture to exactly where she wanted it. The main living room was very large for an apartment. One side of the room was totally clear and Kimberly had moved the brand-new television set against that far wall and situated 3 couches around it. The off-white coloured wall behind the TV had a clock, framed photos of her and Jason and photos of their friends and families arranged around the wall in a pattern with 4 letters embedded between them. The letters spelt HOME.
She placed the rectangular grey and black rug in the middle of the room on top of the beige carpet.
The bathroom had been arranged to her liking and so was their bedroom. The guest bedroom was still being used as a storage room at the moment but Kimberly was absolutely exhausted. She folded up the newspaper in her hand with a puff of the cheeks and laid it down on the dark grey sofa and looked at the clock.
14:37. Jason won't be here for another couple of hours yet. Kimberly thought, grabbing the TV remote and turning it on.
"Dammit," She cried, lamenting the fact that the cable company hadn't installed cable yet. She had arranged the apartment, checked the newspaper for any tempting jobs (no success) and now was quite bored. She was thinking of having a shower and seeing if Trini was free to hang out, when the door opened.
"Honey I'm home."
Kimberly jumped up and ran to Jason and enveloped him in a passionate hug.
"I'm guessing you missed me?" Jason said into her neck, making Kimberly tingle and let go, stepping backwards and stare lovingly at his face.
"I so did. Come on, let's sit down and tell me everything about your first day."
Jason slipped off his shoes, put down his duffle bag and Kimberly pulled him to the sofa.
"Wow. I love what you've done with the place." Jason said, sitting down and looking all around the room with a smile on his face.
"Really?" Kimberly sat down next to him, folding her legs underneath her and leaning towards him.
"Yeah. It looks amazing. Just perfect" His smile diminishing slightly. "But you should've waited for me to come home and allowed me to lift the heavy stuff."
Kimberly furrowed her brow. "What, and re-injure your shoulder?"
"And re-injure your back?" Jason countered, much to their amusement.
"We're like an old married couple already." Kimberly smirked. "But anyway. Forget me, how was your first day baby?" Kimberly pressed him again.
"Wow Kim, my old sensei has built me up like a celebrity. Everyone thinks I'm the reincarnation of Bruce Lee or the next Chuck Norris or something." Jason said with a puff of the cheeks.
"Well, to be totally honest Jase, you did beat every competitor that came your way. I mean you're undefeated in all competitions." Kimberly replied.
"True but like, I didn't think I was that big in the Angel Grove martial arts scene."
"Well, it looks like you are. You'll have to learn to live with being famous."
"Oh don't you start too." Jason playfully smacked Kim on the knee. "And sensei is cool as ice man. He ordered me to come home early today and relieved me of the evening classes."
"That's cool, but how does this all work. I mean, you told me evening classes are from 18:00 to 20:00. And then you have separate morning classes and afternoon classes. Will you be at work from 8 to 8?" Kimberly queried, pouting her lips.
"Well first of all, you better stop pouting before I attack your lips"
Kimberly pouted harder.
"And secondly, there's a big gap between the classes so I can come home, go out, train, use the facilities, join a dance class, join the circus, I can do whatever during those free periods." Jason answered her, moving closer and gently biting Kim's puffed out lips.
Kimberly licked her lip and smirked slightly. "That sounds pretty darn good. You better come spend time with me when you're free." Kimberly moved to lay her head on Jason's lap and looked up at his face. "I just love you so much, I'm not being all weird and obsessive, am I?"
Jason stroked his fiancé's hair, gazing into her eyes as he spoke. "Kim, even if you were obsessive, I'd absolutely love it. I've waited my whole life for you baby. I love the way you are. I love how we are."
"Perfect. That's how we are." Said Kim.
"Destined." Added Jason, lazily stroking her chin with his thumb. "You know what I was thinking today? Our names are next to each other in the alphabet, H, I, and then J and K."
"Oh Jase. We went over this when we were like 8 or something." Kimberly said with a little giggle.
"Really?"
"Yes Dumbo."
"Hmm. It's cute, isn't it?"
Kimberly landed a slap to his chest in a playful manner. "You didn't think it was cute when I told you back then."
"But I find it cute now." Jason countered.
"Good. What we doing tonight? The cable isn't on yet, and there's only some of the snacks that the guys left. We haven't really got anything to cook."
"Shall we do our first food shop as an engaged couple? We live right next to the Costco." Jason offered.
"Oh baby. That would be so cute. And we can cook something together tonight." Kim said.
"Yep, and we also have Adam's gift for Le Bistro if we're too tired?" Jason suggested.
"Ooooh yeah. Let's do a shop and stock up and then go out to eat?"
"That sounds like plan. I'm gonna head for a shower, and then we can go."
"I need a shower too. Maybe we could test out the shower together?" Kimberly proposed, biting her bottom lip.
Ring ring
Kimberly sat up and Jason pulled out his cell phone from his jean pocket.
"It's Trini." Jason said answering the phone. "Hey Trini. Miss us already?"
Jason smiled but his face turned more serious after a few seconds.
"Right okay. Yeah, that's cool. Our apartment is fine. Yeah. See you soon." Jason ended the phone call and returned the phone to his pocket.
"Are they coming over?" Kimberly asked, happy but also a bit concerned.
"Yeah. They said Billy has something to tell us, and that it would be better in a more private environment." Jason revealed.
Billy Cranston had just taken his break from work. His mind was racing with thoughts and trepidation. He knew he had to say something soon, but he also knew that he needed his friends support before he could ever tell Marge. The simple thought of her disappointed face sucked all of the oxygen from inside his lungs. He could tell his friends, but how would be reveal this to Marge.
Hey marge I'm gay.
Hey marge, I truly love you but I can't be with you.
Hey marge, I think you're amazing but I aren't into women. I like men. Or one man, I think.
Billy was so lost in his own thoughts that he bumped into a woman on the sidewalk whom he apologised to profusely. Billy arrived at the little café near his workplace, ordered a latte and his usual smoked salmon bagel and sat down at a table
He wasn't hungry, but he was certainly thirsty. His saliva was all dried up and throat scratching in reaction to the thoughts running around in his head.
I have to do it.
Billy retrieved his cell phone and dialled Trini's number with trembling fingers.
"Hey Trini."
"Hey Billy. How are you doing?"
"Not too great if I'm being honest with you."
"Oh no, why Billy. What's wrong?"
"I, well, ummm, I need to tell you something. Tell all of you guys something."
"Okay Billy. That's fine. Shall we meet at a coffee shop, or grab a milkshake like the good old days?"
"I would prefer a more private domain if that's okay Trini."
"Yes, that's fine with me. Shall I call the guys, let them know and then pick one of our homes"
"Yes please. That would be most helpful."
"Good. We're here for you Billy."
"That's good to know." Billy said, accepting his lunch from the server. His anxiety reaching sky high levels now. His life was about to be changed to an enormous degree.
I hope you like the chapter. I'm taking this much slower than my previous story. I want to build up a few of the characters backgrounds and stories. Let me know what you think. The next chapter will be slightly different.
