Disclaimer: I own Nathaniel Harrison. Well, I am Nathaniel Harrison. It's nice to know that a story is able to implement so much of one person in a story, but here we are. Oh, and I don't own Harry Potter. I love the books and movies though.
Chapter Five: A New Mystery
September third awoke Nate via Annalise hooting at him again, this time with two letters tied on her legs.
Nate opened his eyes. "Hey, Anna, nice flight?"
"Hoot," as Anna stuck out one foot.
"Ah, she got the letter? And what about the Grangers?"
"Hoot! Hoot!"
"Great!" Nate untied the letter that was on Annalise's extended foot. He sat down and opened it up.
Dear Nate,
Annalise came at nearly eleven P.M. last night. What were you thinking? Anyways Anna was happy with the small treat she got so I wrote back. Anyways I have known you for years but I didn't know that Hogwarts would get you loads of friends or even good grades! I'm not complaining. Also your mum was wondering if you wanted a care package. Let me know if you want one!
With love and friendship, your amazingest best friend,
Anna
Nate smiled warmly at that. She seemed happy to get the letter, but next time he would send it earlier to her. He turned back to Annalise where she stuck her other foot out as Nate untied it to give it to Hermione.
"Thanks," he replied.
"Hoot!"
Nate took the letter downstairs where it was empty except for a certain young girl.
"Hey Hermione, your letter came back!"
"Thanks Nate!"
Hermione promptly took the letter and read it, and felt happy and excited for some reason.
"Nate, I found a way for us to take notes without magic!"
"Oh? What is it?"
"That's for me to know and for you to find out," Hermione teased.
"Oh your on!" And the two broke down into a fit of giggles.
Five minutes later the two were settled on the couch, when they started talking about their schedule.
"On Monday, we had Transfiguration, Potions, DADA, Charms, and History of Magic. Today we have all of that including Herbology where we had a free period yesterday," Nate started.
Hermione turned a bright shade of red remembering when Professor McGonagall had caught them sleeping outside during and after their free period.
"On Wednesday, We have Tranfiguration, DADA, Charms, Herbology, History of Magic , and Astronomy. Thursday we have Potions - ugh - then DADA, Charms, Herbology, and Astronomy. We have a free period between lunch and DADA though. Second to last on Friday we have Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, and Herbology. And on Saturday every week we get flying lessons! Isn't this great Her-" He glanced over at her and noticed she was snuggled up with his quilt again, dozed off. Nate shook her awake and they both blushed heavily.
"Sorry," Hermione squeaked, "But that's good. Although Astronomy is at midnight, so don't plan on sleeping," she finished with a giggle. "Also," she started, "Can Annalise go and pick up the surprise? If she leaves now she can be back here right before class!"
"Go ahead Hermione," Nate said, "she's as good mine as well as yours. Plus she likes you." He finished that line with a smirk. Hermione laughed and ran upstairs to jot something down for her parents.
Next thing Nate knows, Hermione is running from the girls' dorm to the boys' dorms in a flash. After that he hears Annalise hooting and flying away. Then Hermione hopped down the steps with a massive smile on her face. "All set?" Nate asked. "All set," she replied.
"I don't know about you, but I am going to get dressed. Meet me back here in ten?" Hermione asked sweetly.
"See you in ten."
"One more thing," Hermione started, "Don't bring any parchment."
"Why?"
"That's for me to know and for you to find out!" She smirked at Nate before bouncing away to her dorm.
"Girls. They take so long. One is my best friend yet I still don't understand them," Nate muttered to himself with a chuckle as he walked back to his dorm to change and to pack, without any parchment. He still packed everything from the day prior, same quills and such, and he tossed what he needed for the day in his case. He also tossed in his course book for Herbology, "One thousand magical Herbs and Fungi," and his simplified notes from Hermione the night prior. He also tossed in Anna's reply, he thought it was good luck. Fifteen minutes passed until Nate sauntered back to the common room, he had set up an alarm clock prank for Ron, courtesy of Anna's clock he used.
"And you say we take too long," Hermione shot at him, hiding her laughter.
"Oh, come now, let's go to breakfast. It's nearly quarter to," Nate replied before smiling.
The happy first years walked to the Great Hall, sat down, started eating until Nate spoke up.
"Wanna bet that Ron and Harry will come through the doors by the time I count to ten?"
"How much Nate?"
"Hmm," Nate thought for a minute and stated, "the loser does today's notes."
"Hermione grinned. "You're on!"
Nate glanced at his watch. "Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one," and as Nate said zero and pointed his finger at the door it swung open, in running an exhausted Harry and a happily angered Ron.
"See, told you 'Mione."
She blushed at this. "Mione?"
"It suits you, don't you think? Plus it sounds cute."
"Well, looks like I am flattered Nate," she smiled sheepishly, " And I also owe us a day of notes today. How did you know that they would pop in the Hall at that moment anyways?"
"Complicated math. But I'll explain it later. Plus i did it as payback for them leaving us alone yesterday while I took notes and they slept," Nate said, "okay I lied about the reason. It does involve loads of math, and I didn't want them to be late. Plus the clock may have stated that if they didn't get themselves into the Great Hall by seven A.M. Ron would never get chicken again."
Hermione started laughing like a madman/girl when Ron happily and angrily stomped up to Nate. "That was mean, but it was funny. Thanks," Ron said, before patting Nate's shoulder.
"You know Nate, you could've just said that Ginny was crushing on me and he would've been out of bed faster than you could say Hogwarts!" Harry laughed while Ron looked angry. "Leave Ginny out of it Harry," Ron tried to be serious, but he ended up laughing too.
"Well, sit sit!" Nate exclaimed, "there's loads of chicken here for you Ron!"
Ron laughed then proceeded to eat five chicken legs and three sausages. The Quadrio ate in happiness and laughed at each others jokes and comments. Pretty soon, all the students were in the Great Hall when a swarm of owls flew in from the roof.
"Mail day!" Ron exclaimed.
Various owls dropped packages to specific students, and Ron got a newspaper and another magazine. Annalise finally made her way in, she was struggling slightly, but she still flew. And she landed calmly next to Hermione who hooted happily as she let Hermione take the package that was strapped to her. Harry wasn't focused on Annalise however, he was looking at something else. And Nate was looking at Harry.
"Hey Harry, you alright," Nate started, "You look like you've just seen a ghost!"
"There was a break in at Gringotts. But nothing was stolen," Harry stated.
Hermione was too preoccupied with Annalise to initially notice what happened. It was only after Annalise flew off that Hermione saw her friend's faces. "What happened?"
"Gringotts' goblins confirm that a break in was attempted but noting was stolen. The vault in question was vault seven hundred and thirteen," Harry paused, then continued, " The vault had been emptied mere hours earlier."
"Wait so what was taken from the vault," Nate started, "That required a break in of one of the most secure places in Magical Britain?"
Harry paused, then spoke. "When I went to get money from Gringotts, Hagrid had to get something from that vault. It was the only thing In there and it was something small. Hagrid said it was something that Professor Dumbledore had told him to do. I don't know what it actually was though. Hagrid wouldn't tell me."
"Well, whatever it is, it seems safe now if Dumbledore handled it," Hermione stated, confidently. She then turned to Nate, "Now this is my surprise! Open it up!"
Nate opened up the bundled package from Hermione's parents and gasped with what he saw. There were four massive notebooks with dividers in each of them. There was also a package of pencils and a sharpener, should they need it. "Hermione, is this your solution?"
"Yes! We write all our notes from classes in these, then copy the essentials onto parchment, also we need parchment for essays the teachers will give out. But these will help us save on parchment too!" Hermione was beaming brightly at this point.
"Why four?"
"I thought Harry and Ron would want one, not that they need it though," Hermione finished laughing.
"It would be Impolite to not accept this Hermione, but I know between me and Ron we only need one of those monstrosities. Thanks though!" Harry exclaimed at her offer and his reply was sufficient because Ron agreed with a vicious nod.
Just then Professor McGonagall strolled over the the Quadro and looked at the new notebooks.
"Are you already out of parchment Miss. Granger, Mr. Harrison, and Mr. Potter?"
"No, "Hermione started, "it's so that we can use our parchment when absolutely nessecary. You see me and Nate here take loads of notes and-"
"And I felt I was wasting parchment because I was taking so many notes," Nate finished.
"So I owled my mum with Nate's owl and she said she would send us this," Hermione finished.
McGonagall was intrigued at the kids' motivation for school. "Alright, I will allow it, but essays and assignments for your teachers must be submitted using parchment. There is also a charm I can use on these notebooks to ensure you can use quills and ink on it. I wouldn't think that you three or four would want to be outcasted simply because you used muggle writing utensils?"
The students nodded, and Professor McGonagall whipped out her wand and muttered an incantation and the notebooks turned a shade of red temporarily before returning to their original state.
"There. You can write freely on these pages, however the ink will dry instantly when you write on it. Good luck to you," McGonagall smiled at Hermione before strolling off.
"That's awesome! Now, we have Potions so I better take notes," Hermione exclaimed.
The four stood up and walked to their class, this time on time. When the lesson started, Hermione was surprised that Nate had also taken out his notebook.
"Nate, you said I take notes today!" She fiercely whispered.
"I lied, I like note taking too," and he smiled back at her before paying attention to Snape teach again. And that is how their week went. Minus the "pranking Ron via Nate" stunt.
Every morning, Nate and Hermione woke up at six A.M. They would meet in the common room, talk for a bit, then headed to their dorms to change. At six thirty, Nate woke up Harry who would wake up Ron, and Nate, dressed and packed, headed downstairs again to walk with Hermione to breakfast. Then they had class. Nate and Hermione took pages of notes every day, and often shared their simplified note page copies with Harry and Ron, who were thankful. Nate and Hermione spent most of their free time in the library in the same area Madam Pince let them use. Everything was a schedule for Nate. But, as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." And this end happened to be four days later, on Saturday morning where they were going to be given flying lessons.
The class had started promptly at Ten A.M, and it was the only class on a Saturday that First Years took. Everyone had followed Madam Hooch's instructions until Neville Longbottom accidentally lost control of his broom and broke his wrist.
This prompted Draco to start taunting Neville, including taking and hiding his possessions because he was away. Harry, however, was pissed about this.
"Harry, no way. If a teacher sees you, you're gonna get in trouble!" Hermione pleaded.
Harry ignored her and mounted the broom.
"Mate, stop please?" Nate asked, but Harry had already took flight.
"Wot an idiot." Hermione said.
It took no more than ninty seconds for Harry to get the rememberall back from Draco, but Professor McGonagall had already rushed outside.
"Potter! Come with me now!" She stated this so sternly Nate felt shivers up his spine.
Once Harry and McGonagall were out of earshot, Malfoy sneered. "I wonder how long it will take for him to be expelled for that stunt." He as well as most of his goons laughed. Hermione tried to react but Nate and Ron refused to allow her to do that.
It only took thirty minutes for them to figure out that Harry had made the Quidditch house team.
"You must be the youngest seeker-" Ron started.
"In a century, I know," Harry finished. "How do you know I won't fail? I don't even know how to play!"
"I can find a book for you on it?" Nate offered.
"But you won't fail!" Hermione stated, "It's in your blood. Anyways follow me. ALL of you."
The three boys looked at each other before following the girl inside.
"See here? Harry, your dad was also a seeker! See the year? Nineteen Seventy! That was twenty years ago!" Hermione was so giddy she hadn't taken a breath until then.
"I never knew," Harry admitted, "I never knew much about my parents."
And with that, the quadrio set off to help Harry learn Quidditch and about the past with his dad. However, Oliver Wood was ahead, because as soon as his class was out, he taught Harry everything about Quidditch.
However, after lessons, Harry was pissed. He had been challenged to a duel by Draco Malfoy that night in the trophy room. Ron agreed, but Hermione and Nate were reluctant. Finally they gave in and that night, the four set off for the trophy room.
It was a trap though. Filch was waiting in the trophy room, but thanks to some quick thinking on Hermione's part, they escaped unseen. They had, however, accidentally found themselves in the forbidden third floor corridor.
"We're lost," Ron groaned.
"I guess," Harry agreed.
Suddenly, almost out of nowhere, Mrs. Norris, Filch's cat, spotted them and started meowing like crazy. The four students ran to the end of the hallway where Hermione cast a quick "Alohamora" charm and they hid in there. After Filch had seen no movement, he walked out of the corridor.
"I can't understand why this hallway is forbidden," Ron started, "There's nothing up here."
"Actually Ron, there is." Harry spoke hesitantly.
Suddenly a three headed dog awoke and growled at them angrily. The four students screamed loudly before running back through the door, and they didn't stop until they were in the common room.
Hermione stood in front of the girls' dorm's door and sighed. "Now, if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed. Before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed. Or worse. Expelled." She turned to Nate and smiled, hugged him, and sauntered into her dorm.
"She really needs to sort out her priorities," Ron commented. But Nate wasn't focused on that, he was smiling because Hermione had hugged him in front of their best friends.
To say that the next seven or so weeks had went by fast is an understatement. They went by quick. Nate and Hermione's notebooks were slowly getting filled, and Snape's snide remarks in class now focused on himself, Harry, and Hermione. Harry had used the notebook Hermione gave him in Transfiguration the most, as it was his favorite class. Nate and Hermione always worked together in the library to simplify their small stack of notes, and soon enough, word got around school that a specific part of the library was only allowed access by Harry, Nate, Hermione, and Ron. Madam Pince was simply being generous. Hermione simplified notes while Nate copied it four separate times. Nate wrote extra copies so Ron and Harry could use them.
So far, Hermione trailed Nate in Transfiguration and in History of Magic, but outshined him in Herbology, Astronomy, and Charms. The only subject that Ron dominated in the bunch was Potions, however it really was because he was the only one in their group who was not constantly nagged by Snape about ridiculous things. However, Harry outshined them all in DADA, despite Quirrell's horrible teaching, and flying, Harry's strength.
Even though Hermione was the best in her class at Charms, Nate was more respective to material, causing Flitwick to unintentionally name Nate his favorite student, with Hermione on his heels. It was obvious who Snape favored in Potions, it was the slimy blonde git named Malfoy. In Transfiguration, McGonagall liked Ron the best and in Herbology Professor Sprout called Hermione her favorite student. Quirrell quite like Harry, and as a matter of fact, everyone did, minus Snape.
So, when Halloween of Nineteen ninety-one came around, it was no surprise that the four prized students had been prepared for that day. Notes ready, the students had to take several quizzes because the Professors thought it would be a good Halloween trick to play on the students. However, each of the four got a perfect score on each of their quizzes. The only two classes they didn't have quizzes in was Charms and Herbology.
Flitwick had decided to teach the students the levitation charm, and they all seemed excited. When they practiced the spell, Seamus' feather exploded into flames, and Ron almost broke his wand.
Upon exiting the classroom, Nate said he was heading off to the library immediately, and Ron, Harry, and Hermione were walking to Herbology. Hermione trailed a few feet behind due to her conversation with Nate, and she overhead Ron telling Harry and Seamus how much of a nightmare and a know it all she was. Hermione stiffened up, intentionally bumped into Ron, and ran off. She would miss the rest of her classes that day.
As soon as he was out of eyesight of Hermione, Nate made a beeline for McGonagall's office. He politely knocked and she let him in.
"Afternoon Professor, do you have what I asked for?"
"Right here Mr. Harrison. I must say, this is rather sweet of you to do and I am sure she will appreciate it." McGonagall gently smiled at Nate before ushering him out to his next class.
But Nate only got about ten feet out of the classroom before something very odd happened. His body felt cold and he felt defeated and unhappy. Even though his body warmed back up again about a minute later, he still had a massive urge to feel unhappy. He thought that once he saw Hermione's reaction to his Halloween gift to her his mood would lighten up somewhat.
Nate arrived two minutes later to Professor Sprout's class but she understood when she saw what Nate was holding. She smiled and ushered him to his spot. Nate was surprised however, as Hermione was not there. This seemed to confirm his now somewhat stronger unhappy mood, but nonetheless whisked out his notebook and started writing notes, even if it was the only class to have notes that day.
Nate spent his free period looking for Hermione. Ron and Harry didn't notice, as they were once again neck deep in Wizards chess.
Nate walked to the Slytherin Common Room. He had two friends there that owed him one. Well, not technically, but the three had become good friends with the small time Nate spent away from his Gryffindor friends.
"Purebloods reign" Nate stated as the Portrait slid open and allowed Nate access. The first people he saw were Draco Malfoy leaning against an uncomfortable Pansy on the couch. He nodded at Pansy who winked. She then shouted, "How did you get in here, Harryson baby?"
"Harrison! How DARE you step foot in MY house! After you humiliated me you have no right being here!" Draco yelled loudly and Pansy stood up.
"Let me take our guest somewhere safe..." Pansy grabbed Nate's arm and yanked him into the shared dorm with her and Daphne.
"Thanks, and sorry," Nate said.
"No, we should be, more like I should be. I just let him treat you like that, I don't even know how you can still call me your friend," Pansy sighed and Nate hugged her.
"Don't worry about it Panz. Anyways, I need your help."
Both Pansy and Daphne looked at Nate with interest.
"Hermione is missing. I don't know where she went off to, but she wasn't in Herbology today, and I'm worried," Nate said, shakily.
"Me and Pansy will help you look for her, Nate." Daphne gave Nate a reassuring squeeze.
"I was also planning on giving her this," as Nate pulled out his gift for Hermione. "I was going to give it to her in Herbology but she hadn't showed.
"Oh my godddddd Nate! Are you crushing on Hermione?" Pansy asked while eagerly jumping up and down. Daphne was following suit, being careful as she held the gift in her hands.
Nate flushed deep red," Yeah, sorry Pansy," he laughed.
This earned him a playful swat on his arm by her. "I never said I was crushing on you! I mean, your cute and all, but still!"
Now it was Daphne's turn to laugh. "Pansy secretly wishes she was prettier than Hermione, Nate."
"You two are beautiful in your own way, don't worry about it." Nate smiled at both of them. "Now, how do we get me out of here without Draco assaulting us the second I step out of this room?"
Pansy and Daphne exchanged looks.
"If you don't mind being literally dragged around, we can get you out of here," Daphne stated.
"Just don't break anything, will you?"
"I'll hand you back her gift when we get out of the room."
"Thanks, Daph."
"You're welcome Nate, now, let's go."
Pansy yanked Nate's collar and proceeded to berate him in front of the entire Slytherin House. This caused Draco to smirk, and Pansy got the liberty to "toss" Nate out. Daphne told Draco that they were going to teach Nate a lesson. And with that, they were out of the common room.
"You're brilliant Panz, you know that, I think you could become an actress one day," Nate said.
"A what?" Pansy stated.
"It's a muggle thing, sorry," Nate smiled apologetically and then the three of them split up. Pansy and Daphne would look on the top floors, while Nate got Susan and they looked on the bottom floors. They had no luck, so when they group of students walked defeated into the Great Hall for the feast, they stuffed their faces with food to forget about the troubles they had. Everyone but Nate. The feeling of sadness and being unhappy had been with him all afternoon, since Hermione went missing. Harry and Ron hopped into the Great Hall. Both wondered where Hermione was.
"Parvati and Lavender told me she has been in the first floor girls bathroom all afternoon, refusing to come out," Neville answered. Before any of the boys could react, the doors to the Great Hall slammed open and in ran a startled Professor Quirrell. "TROLL IN THE DUNGEONS! TROLL IN THE DUNGEONS! Though you ought to know." And he passed out.
The Great Hall erupted with screams and panic from all four houses. It took almost twenty seconds for Headmaster Dumbledore to regain order.
"SILENCE!" Dumbledore boomed. The hall went eerie quiet.
"Prefects will lead students back to their dormitories, the Professors will head to the dungeons to deal with the troll," Dumbledore continued.
Percy Weasley rounded up the scared Gryffindors and ushered them out of the Great Hall. It wasn't before they got to the Grand Staircase that Nate realized something.
"Hermione doesn't know! She could get hurt! Come on!" Nate cried out to Harry and Ron. But before they could stop him, Nate was barreling down the hallways towards the first floor girls bathroom. But before they reached there, Harry spotted the troll. It was lumbering its way into the girl's bathroom.
"Mum's gonna kill me, but let's go!" Nate said, and the trio ran into the girl's bathroom to see Hermione almost getting crushed by falling debris in the bathroom.
"Help!" she screamed.
"Just keep moving Hermione!" Harry yelled back. He and Ron began to throw concrete and wood at the troll while Nate was trying Transfiguration spells he learned in his extra book from Diagon alley.
Nate snapped suddenly and with all of his will power he could provide, shot a spell at the troll. The troll suddenly transfigured into a large lion, and Ron and Harry's debris throwing payed off and knocked it unconscious. The four of them were shocked, but even more as the fact that the lion re-transfigured back into an unconscious troll. Hermione got out of her spot and ran to hug Nate. But before she got there, Nate collapsed. It just so happened that the teachers had ran into the bathroom at that very moment.
"Oh my goodness!" McGonagall was shocked to see Hermione, Ron, and Harry standing in front of an unconscious mountain troll. Nate was collapsed at Hermione's feet. "Explain yourselves! All of you! And why is Mr. Harrison on the floor?!" McGonagall was exhausted now.
"It was my fault Professor McGonagall. I thought I could handle the troll from books. I was wrong. If Harry, Nate, and Ron hadn't found me, I probably would be dead," Hermione started.
"Me and Harry were throwing the wood and stuff the troll broke, and Nate-" Ron started.
"He transfigured the troll into a lion temporarily, me and Ron knocked it out, and Hermione was running over to us and Nate collapsed!" Harry finished.
McGonagall was looking over the situation. But what she wasn't noticing was that Harry was looking at a wound Snape obtained. Snape swiftly covered it up and sneered at him.
"Five points will be taken from Gryffindor, for not following directions Miss. Granger," McGonagall started, "and for the both of you... Five points will be awarded to both of you. For sheer dumb luck. And for Mr. Harrison, he will receive ten points for his use of advanced Transfiguration, providing that he confirms that this story is true."
After Nate was levitated to the Hospital wing, Harry, Ron, and Hermione returned to the common room. As soon as McGonagall walked into the common room, the Trio of kids swarmed her with questions about Nate. McGonagall stated that he needed rest as he had collapsed due to magic fatigue, which was when a witch or wizard used so much magic in a session that they could not recoup their energy. Before McGonagall disappeared in her office, she told the group that Astronomy had been canceled that night. Hermione was the only one disappointed with that, though, she understood why. A troll had gotten into Hogwarts and a student was passed out in the Hospital wing. That student was her best friend.
That night, Hermione slept in the Common room with Nate's quilt and a sadly hooting Annalise. Actually, scratch that. Hermione didn't sleep at all. Because when two A.M. rolled around, she was still wide awake. The only thing that broke her concentration was when Harry joined her.
"You ok Hermione?"
"Yeah Harry, I am."
"Are you sure? I can help you if you want help."
"Harry I'm really fine. I just miss Nate."
"Hermione it's only been five hours. Plus you don't see him at night, and that's at least seven hours at least."
"But this is different. He isn't just upstairs. He's in the hospital wing because I was stupid today."
"Hermione, if this was about Ron-"
"He made me SO angry today! I was only trying to help!"
"Ron'll come around soon, don't worry."
"Harry, can I tell you something that might sound weird?"
"Shoot Hermione."
"Well, when Nate collapsed, I felt like I was being drained. I don't know how to describe it. But I lost a bunch of energy and I don't know why."
"That's weird. Maybe you can talk to Nate about it? Or maybe Ron? Or even one of the Professors!"
"I don't know. Ron had been really nice these past few weeks but he just blamed me for being annoying and I'm just angry at that. And Nate! What if he thinks I'm weird? He was my first friend at Hogwarts! And the Professors will think i'm imagining things."
"If Nate didn't stick around for what I think are overkill study sessions, I don't know what he thinks of you Hermione." Harry chuckled, "But I think he'll understand. I mean you two do practically everything together. Yeah we do a lot of note taking together but you and him have a heck of a lot more in common than me and Ron do. Deep down Ron is still your friend and I'm sure he is sorry for saying that about you. And the Professors will understand, hopefully."
"I guess Harry. But thanks." Hermione hugged Harry tightly. Not her trademark bone crusher hug, but it was kind and tight."
"Goodnight Hermione, and try to sleep, ok?" Harry stood up.
"Okay, I will. And Harry?" She looked at him who turned around, "thanks."
"Anytime. It's what friends are for." Harry smiled before heading back to bed. Hermione did likewise on the couch. The last thing she thought about was how she would make up with Ron, and how she would check on Nate in the morning. She fell asleep with a smile on her face.
Author's Note: Hello all, again! I deliver again! Originally, this chapter was going to include November 1, but I decided that Hermione falling asleep to her thoughts the night before would be a good natural ending. That being said though, I am noticing that my word count is slightly increasing with each chapter. I don't know why, but I am certainly doing this unintentionally. It is probably because I am better at writing AU Canon HP than actual stories. Anyways. Hermione will get her gift when Nate wakes up, so stay tuned! Cheers!
P.S. I already have Chapter Six written out, so yay! no chance of me being late!
