Having already shared some new information to the new guests of this world, Elze had brought them all to where their fight against the Destroyer had all gone wrong, ended when they stood right in front of its big mechanical head.
"Wow, so you guys had to face against this big ass thing in the midst of fighting each other" said Klein, "That's right, however, I should mention that prior to our involvement, our friends had already faced off against this thing before on 2 separate occasions, while one of our most precious friends had already faced off against it long before" said Elze.
"Really, who were they" asked Kirito as Elze took a moment to pause awkwardly before answering his question.
"It was defeated by a man, by the name of Satou Kazuma, he and his party members were fortunate enough to take on the Destroyer against all possible odds, do to his brilliance and in his words, his incredible amount of luck" said Elze.
"This Kazuma person, sounds to me you have some sort of reservation towards him" said Yui bluntly as Asuna covered her mouth, "Yui" said Asuna.
"It's fine, truth be said it was because of him that we were able to defeat the Destroyer for the last time, and this is besides the fact how a lot of us betrayed his trust and have gone and harmed him on an emotional stand point" said Elze as she turned to see the surprised looks on everyone's faces.
"While a lot of us should probably feel some sort of hatred and resentment for Kazuma, especially given his change in attitude, I personally can't find myself to hate him, given he's done as much as he had lost" said Elze.
Seeing how she was sadden by losing so much during this fight, and hearing her say this show's that Elze has grown, and wasn't just another hot head like lot of her friends perpetuated her to be.
As for the new group before her, they were in awe knowing she had to go through a lot recently, and a lot of them can actually relate to losing some people they had called friends, and then some.
With Kazuma
As Kazuma got out of his bedroom once more he saw that Darkness was sitting down and watching an old cartoon that Kazuma recalled watching as a kid, as it centered around these 3 group of friends trying to scam the other kids in the neighborhood for jaw breaker money.
"What's up Darkness" said Kazuma as he took a seat next to her as she looked at her roommate.
"You know you were really rude to our friends back there" said Darkness bluntly, "Well excuse me for being a cynical ass hat with no more fucks to give" said Kazuma with a smarmy attitude.
"Kazuma really now, our friends have gone through a lot these past few days, the very least you can do is show them some compassion and respect after the loss they had all suffered from" said Darkness.
"Hey, I can be nice if I want to, however, you of all people should know that my patience for anyone full of themselves or acts in accordance to be more superior and even dominate people is very thin, so not my fault I called Tanya out" said Kazuma.
"Hindsight is only 20-20 Kazuma" said Darkness, "True, but out of everyone here, Tanya has proven herself to be the most level headed and one of the more smarter people I've came across" said Kazuma.
"In fact I'm more than certain if she didn't let her pride and ego get in the way, she could have probably done something to not only figure out this mystery, but possibly find a way to bring our friends back to life and go home, and all it would have costed her was to bow down and show some humility to a god" said Kazuma.
"Kazuma, you don't know if the god Tanya was referring to was even a benevolent one, in fact, for all we know it could have been a powerful being whom enjoys tormenting strong individuals" said Darkness.
"If that was the case and the bastard was literally within my sights, than by all means we'll call to arms with Tanya and kill him" said Kazuma.
"Kazuma, not even you can hope to take on a god, no offense" said Kazuma, "Need I remind you that we had a goddess in our party and I held no reservation from knocking some sense into her head if the situation had called for it" said Kazuma.
"Also, we've faced some pretty tough choices to the point that I'm certain an angry god is nothing we couldn't all handle" said Kazuma, "But we can't now, now that half our friends our dead and the only person to bring us back to life is now dead to" said Darkness in frustration as this surprised Kazuma.
Realizing what she had said in the heat of the moment, got Darkness to regret her actions as she reached out for Kazuma.
"Kazuma, please I am so sorry" said Darkness as she was expecting for him to push her off and possibly pin her down and punched her till he felt satisfied, but it never happened.
Kazuma instead sat their wide eye in silent for a few minutes, just thinking, leaving Darkness concerned what might transpired.
"You're right" choked up Kazuma as he just sat there in silent, realizing that Darkness did had a point, a very sharp one that got him to really think hard about it.
However it did strike another nerve together as tears began to well up in his eyes, before they streamed down.
"Kazuma" said Darkness sympathetically as she got close and wrapped her arms around him and rested his head on her shoulder, before Kazuma proceeded to let out light sobs.
As they continued to stay there in sorrow, walking down the streets outside their house was an all too familiar group of people having finally returned back home.
"What happened here guys" asked Irie as she walked around carrying a MAC11 submachine in her hand, "If I had to guess it had something to do with that giant robo spider we saw" said Hisako as she carried an M60 LMG in her hands.
"What ever happened here we can talk about later, for now we need to look for Kazuma" said Minori as she had her M1911 in hand.
"What do you mean no one's coming in the dark to save us, let alone me" came the voice of Art, the only male of the group.
"Art is everything ok" asked Jibril as she stood by her friend as he held his head, "Not really no" groaned Art as he was looking worse for wear.
"Need us to take a break" asked Iwasawa, "It's fine, just really wish I can do something to shut Samantha up" said Art as he felt a sharp pain hitting his head again.
"Damn it" shouted Art as he put both hands over his head, "Art, we can deal with talking to Kazuma another day, right now you need some rest and medicine" said Minori.
"The only thing to really get rid of this head ache is a buck shot to the dome nugget" said Art as Sekine was already pointing her weapon towards Art's head, before Irie lowered her gun down and shook her head no.
"We're already here, let's get this over with and then we can go back and figure things out from there" said Art in a huff as he's been suffering headaches and to his claims the voice of Satan's daughter in his head.
"Excuse us" came the voice of Maou as Ashiya stood next to him, "You guys wouldn't happen to know where the Satou household is now, would you".
"Gah" yelped Art as he collapsed to his knees and grip onto his head, "Art" said Jibril as she and Iwasawa got down to his level and held onto him.
"What the hell are you saying" asked Art as he began to sweat bullets and his eyes were going mad.
"That's crazy, those guys don't even look like demons" said Art as he was hit by another sharp waves of headaches causing him to shot back and grip onto his head.
"Is your friend alright" asked Maou as he and Ashiya got closer to check up on Art, who continued to scream in pain.
"Damn it, fine!" exclaimed Art as he was pushing himself to face Maou, as he dug his hands into his shoulder.
"I need you to do me a favor, and perform a spell to make Samantha more apparent for me" hissed Art as all of this would normally freak someone out, but not to Maou, as he saw something, something deep within his eyes.
"Unhand my master you rogue" threatened Ashiya, "Ashiya hold it, I think he really needs help and only I can provide" said Maou as he and everyone else were unaware as to Kazuma and Darkness being outside and witnessing the whole thing.
"Excuse us, but is everything alright" asked Darkness getting everyone's attention, as all eyes were on them, while Art's and Maou's were on Kazuma more than anyone else.
"Mind if we seek temporary refuge inside you house for our friend here" said Iwasawa as she help lifted up Art so that Kazuma got a clear look at his face.
Upon seeing Art's face, his nightmares came back to haunt him since he's always seen Art's face and saw it as the main mastermind and menace towards his haunting and misfortune's he's had every night since Aqua's passing.
Scared, Kazuma began to back away but not before making one thing clear to the group.
"Don't ever bring that man back near my house ever again, and if I were you guys, I'd avoid him as best as possible" said Kazuma leaving everyone surprised.
"Kazuma, what are you saying" asked a surprised Darkness, before he grabbed her hand and began to bring her back inside, "Let's go Darkness" said Kazuma as he left the new group of friends a mixture of feeling offended and anger towards Kazuma for what he had done.
"Come on, we can take you back to our place, it's not that far from here" said Maou as they all began to set foot in the devils abode.
So things are starting to escalate quickly, as the plot thickens with each chapter.
