Kate and Hutch followed Max to a field to meet Lois and Daria "Now i must warn you two Daria had a...puphood accident that left her scarred and blind in both eyes and she hates it when people stare at the scars so pleas don't stare."Max said firmly.
Kate and Hutch looked at each other in concern wondering what happened after a few minutes of walking they got to a den,and a Tan furred female with light blue eyes who looked about 4 years older than Kate.
"Hi honey."Max sat kissing the wolf on the cheek "Kate hutch this is Lois my wife and Tribe leader." Kate's eyes widened a little after hearing that Lois looked at Kate and Hutch with confusion "Can i help you?"
"Um yes we came to ask you some questions about your tribe."Kate said Lois cocked her head to the side "Like what?"
"Like why are you guys still here living next to the Dark Forest...next to the Shademaker." Hutch said that name made Lois tence up and squeeze max's hand who comforted her. "Did someone say Shademaker?"a voice said coming from out of the den Kate looked into the darkness of the den and she make out the outline of a Wolf sitting down.
"Yes,are you Daria?"Kate asked
"Who's asking?"
"Kate of the United tribe."kate responded even in the dark Kate could see Daria turn her head a little "Why are you asking about The Dark Forest?" "Because the creature of the dark forest isn't as mythical as we were told."
Kate could see Daria's ears flicker as she stood up and began to walk towards the entrance and towards the light when she did kate nearly gasped after seeing Daria. Her fur was a pale gray mixed with cream and her eyes wer a pale green with healed scars running over her eyes and down her cheeks kate could tell by the Scars it wasn't just an accident she was attacked by something.
"You saw him too?"Daria asked "No my son did,and a couple of my tribe mates link and Lyle were moronic enough to try and capture it,and after seeing the damage it did to them i know for a fact that the Shademaker is a force not to be trifled with."
Daria nodded as she gently grabbed lois's hand as they walked towards a spot a few feet away from the den Kate and Hutch followed as Daria sat down with Max and Lois. Kate and Hutch sat down in front of them as daria began speaking
"Tell me Kate what exactly do you think the Shademaker is?"
Kate couldn't exactly answer that given the fact she's never seen it with her own eyes "We'll i know it's scary monster,And it's been here since the Direwolves."
"So you saw the painting."Daria said smiling "as you know that painting doesn't tell the whole Origin Story of the Shademaker,Shademaker is a Primordial Entity who's existence predate that of Fenrir."
Kate eye's widened after hearing that "Woah primordial you mean this thing is a God?!"Hutch exclaimed "yes,Long before the beginning of time itself long before the lights turned on there was darkness and in that darkness was Shademaker but to honest his real name is unpronouncable so we just called him Shademaker." Lois said
Kate raised an eyebrow "Him?" "Yes Shademaker is male don't ask how we know we could just tell,moving on."Lois said with a deadpan expression.
"Shademaker ruled the Dark empty space for a long long time,he was happy and content that is until she was born."Max said "Who?" Kate asked
"The Goddess of the Light:Aurora."Daria said Kate and Hutch were confused as they didn't know who Aurora was. "Aurora was also born from the darkness too but unlike you brother she didn't like the Dark so she turned on light and created the universe we know today."
Kate and Hutch absorbed all this "So This Aurora and the Shademaker are Siblings?!"Hutch asked in amazement "Yes."Max said "Anyway Shademaker wasn't to happy that his new and bouncing baby sister ruined his perfectly good Kingdom like that so like any cruddy big brother would do he declared war on her,a war that spanned trillions of Years before it ended in a stalemate both deities were evenly matched."
"Aurora felt bad about Shademaker's home but sharing is caring so she made an arrangement with him:the universe can have darkness as long as her light can stay too and that is why there is Dark and light in the universe."Daria said.
Kate and Hutch nodded and affirmation
"Ok now fast forward eons later Shademaker arrives on earth for reasons known only to him and does battle with a tribe of Direwolves for ownership of the Dark forest and the black which he like and won and thats where he lived for thousands blah blah blah."Lois said in an uninterested manner.
"anyway now comes the story of our Tribe,our tribe was never from here in the first place we were from further North but the carribu disappeared from our territory and we discovered that they were chased down here for some reason so we moved here,and it was well and good until we found that Forest."Daria said with regret "we were just pups at the time,our curiosity got the better of us and we explored the Forest ignoring the bad feelings we got until we arrived at the black cave it's home."Lois said.
Both girls went quiet for a second "one of the pups we was hanging with dared me to go inside I did and instantly regretted it."Daria said "What happened?"Kate asked daria shuttered at the memory of it "i never saw it coming, the only thing i remember was feeling a sharp pain on my face as i was knocked back by something i heard Lois and the other pups screaming as i covered my bleeding face."
"me and the other pups ran out of the Forest while he chased after us,The alphas saw it and Immediately went on the attack but no weapons was able to bring it dow no arrows,daggers, Tomahawks nothing we were completely defenceless against this thing,Nearly half our tribe was slaughtered by the Shademaker,some the wolves was able to get to safety by running to a tribe not far away the leader was someone named Samson."Lois said.
Kate knew Samson as the Leader of the Northern tribe and Nathaniel's father.
"We told the Tribe what happened but they thought we were just making it up despite seeing the injured,after we were treated and after a long heated debate we decided to go back but we forbid anyone from going into the Dark Forest out of fear of the Shademaker,and it worked we hadn't had any problems with him."Max finished. "Oh and due to the severity of my injuries i became blind."Daria said with a hint of bitterness.
Kate and Hutch nodded now understanding everything "wait I've been meaning to ask how do you know so much about Shademaker's origins."
"Aurora came to me in a dream while i was recovering she told me everything."Daria said.
"now that's out of the way i would like to ask you some questions."Lois said kindly "Ok."Kate said
"You said your son encountered the Shademaker when was this?"Lois asked Kate sighed "oh just a couple of days ago he threw a rock into it's cave which Shademaker threw it back at him then the next day My older son dragged him back to the Dark Forest and threw the rock at then cave this time i guess Shademaker thought Runt did it again and it threw the rock at his head and he thinks Shademaker will get him,It was a mess."
Lois,Daria and Max looked at Kate concerned "he told me that he'd have nightmares about it so I told everyone else to not come to the dark forest for their safety,but apparently the message didn't get through a couple of thick skulls."Kate said talking about Link and Lyle.
"Welp lesson learned."Max said with a chuckle as everyone laughed.
Meanwhile back at the United Pack
Claudette,Stinky, Runt And Humphrey were sitting in the den waiting for the good word "Do you think they are alive?"Claudette asked worried
"Don't think like that Claudette."Humphrey said with worry in his voice Amber and Flynn were his friends and he wouldn't be able to take it if something were to happen to them. just then Lilly showed up frantically "Humphrey they found them!" Humphrey and the pups followed her to the healers den where Claws and Princess were they saw the condition The two pups were in "Oh my fenrir will they be ok?"Claudette asked in worry.
"They are badly injured but after a few months in my care they will be ok."the healer said with confidence Stinky then turned around and left with Humphrey and the other pups following.
They walked towards the den unknown to them Shademaker was waiting for them from inside the den. "Pups I'll be right back i have to inform Lilly on what's happened right quick."Humphrey said running off then Stinky began to walk the other direction "Stinky where are you going?"Claudette asked "I'm going over to a friends house duh."Stinky replied with sass claudette knew this was wrong because Stinky aas grounded and was forbidden to go to his friends den for a few months.
"Mom and dad is going to be mad,they said you were grounded."Claudette barked stinky only scoffed "whatever go ahead a tell on me i don't care."Stinky said walking away Claudette officially got fed up with stinky's bad boy attitude "Stinky!"Claudette roared
Runt shook his head and turned around and headed for the den when he froze as a pair of blue eye was staring at him from inside the den.
"Claudette Stinky!" He yelled in fear Claudette turned around and Immediately screamed Stinky turned around and his heart dropped to his stomach as he saw the Shademaker come out of the den and stood over the pups.
It looked between the three pups before setting it's eyes on runt who began to back away slowly.
Stinky couldn't believe what he was seeing the Shademaker was real "Pups!"a familiar voice called it was Humphrey as he saw Shademaker towering over his pups he decided to put on a brave face despite being scared out of his wits his pups were in danger.
"get away from my pups you..Oof!"Humphrey didn't get to finish his sentence as Shademaker streched out a fist punching him into a tree knocking him out. Then he grabbed Runt by the throat lifting him up Claudette's screams alerted every alpha that was near by that includes Princess and claws and they ran over to see what was going on then they saw him.
"What the..?"Flint asked in disbelief as multiple alpha took out their bows and aimed at Shademaker "wait don't arrows won't hurt it remember?!"a random alpha yelled out "but It's got runt!"another yelled "Fenrir What do we do?"asked another.
Lilly went over to humphrey who was still unconscious Shademaker looked at the army before him then looked towards runt who began crying then it transformed its hand to a axe and brought it up looking to kill Runt the tribe could only watch helplessly "No!"various people shouted as Shademaker began to kill Runt but before he could do anything the cloudy sky opened up to a bright light as the clouds began to disperse.
Meanwhile
With Kate and Hutch talking to Lois,Daria and Max they noticed the bright light and the clouds dispersing too "Woah what is that?!"Hutch asked in amazement Lois nearly gasped as she knew exactly who it was "it's her it's aurora."Lois said Kate was able to tell that the light was right at the location of their pack "it looks like it's right over our pack,Come on hutch!" Kate said getting up with Hutch following as they ran Garth came running next to them with kiss marks on his chest neck and face "what's that light?"he ask Kate and Hutch didn't answer him at first as they noticed the kiss marks on his body "come on!"kate said running full speed.
Meanwhile
Everyone looked in amazement as the noticed a Silverish figure descending from the light it had a feminine figure with what looked to be flowing hair that ended to her the middle of her back. She had no nose or mouth just beautiful Blue glowing eyes similar to Shademaker and the figure had a rainbow outline her body like it was a part of her.
When figure touched the ground the light went away and the sun and clear blue sky appeared again. Everyone stared in shock at how mesmerizing the figure was as she stared at Shademaker then she spoke in a soft motherly tone "Brother put the pup down."
"Brother?!"everyone exclaimed the figure turned around to meet everyone "Yes he is my brother,I am Aurora the First light that came to be and Shademaker's sister." She said as everyone murmured in confusion aurora turned to Shademaker "Brother put him down please and let's talk this over." Shademaker narrowed his eyes at her in fury and Aurora in turn narrowed hers "don't make me strike you brother i don't want to do that." Shademaker looked at runt for a second then he threw runt towards Claudette feet runt began coughing as Claudette helped him up.
then suddenly Shademaker dashed towards Aurora with the intent to slay her but aurora quickly conjured up a blade of light to blocked Shademaker's attack. "Brother stop this immediately!"Aurora shouted as both siblings started clashing with their swords clanging in a show of light and darkness.
the tribe watched on as Shademaker and Aurora battle just like they did Eons ago.
Shademaker managed to grab Aurora's flowing glowing hair which he didn't like at all "Argh let go of my hair!" Shademaker then proceeded to swing Aurora around in a circle before letting go and watching her fly into some trees knocking them down with a crash.
Shademaker then walked towards Aurora menacingly as he lifted his blade up Aurora officially had enough "Back off!!"she roared then blasted Shademaker with a massive beam of light hitting Shademaker and knocking him away into some trees and crashing into the ground with a loud boom.
Everyone flinched at the site of that as Aurora got up and walked towards Shademaker who slowly got up clearly injured his body was emenating white smoke where the blast of light hit him.
Aurora looked at her brother and was about to say something But Shademaker held up his hand to stop her the pointed at her in a warning tone then His eyes fell on the tribe in front of him then narrowed them and he teleported away in a flash of black smoke.
Aurora sighed tilting her head "even from across the cosmos i could sense when he is angry as we are one in the same..." Then she turned to runt who gulped "and he's angry at you dear child,to my understanding you threw a rock at him twice."
Runt's eyes lit up after hearing that "no no i only threw a rock once!" "Well he believes you threw it a second time."aurora said "No that was my other idiot brother stinky."Claudette said pointing to Stinky who glared at claudette in anger "Shut up!"he seethed upset Claudette was ratting him out like that.
"wait Shademaker was about to kill a pup because he threw a couple of rocks at him?"Claws asked in confusion and in some what anger "Yes."Aurora said.
"Well that's a little harsh isn't it?"Lilly asked aurora nodded "yes but how would you all feel if someone threw rocks at you?" Everyone looked away mumbling to themselves agreeing that they wouldn't like it either.
"well i wouldn't like it but i wouldn't try to kill someone."claws said cando glared at her "really you wouldn't remember that one omega that farted near you and you sent him to the healers den for a month?"
Claws frowned at cando "Shut up that was different." "how?!" "Because that stink got on my fur!" then Both Claws and Candu argued causing Aurora to face palm herself.
"Stop it!" she shouted causing both alphas to stop immediately.
"My Brother just wanted to be left alone but i will admit he went much too far,i mean seriously i didn't like what he did to those last tribes and i especially didn't like what he did to this one, Brutally beating two alphas and harming two little pups just to get at another." Aurora said with a hint of anger everyone paused after hearing all that.
"Wait a second Shademaker was the one who hurt Amber and Flynn?!"Princess asked in shock
"Yes my brother was the one that did that."Aurora said with sympathy.
"are you serious he could've killed my daughter i want blood you obviously got the power to destroy him so do it!"Claws shouted in furiously the other wolves clamoring in agreement which began to agitate Aurora who suddenly snapped.
"Silence!"Aurora yelled in shocking fury making everyone quiet in a heartbeat Aurora looked at herself in shock and horror she never did like raising the volume in her voice even at Shademaker.
"I'm so sorry i shouldn't raise my voice like that,Anyway i can't destroy him he's my brother and i love and care for him regardless of the appalling things he's done and besides he's slightly the innocent one in this."
"How?"Flint asked offended "well all of this never would of happened if Runt or stinky didn't throw those rocks into his cave he saw that as disrespectful and a threat." Aurora said placing her hands on her hips glaring at Runt and Stinky.
Nobody said a word after that she was right in fact if they didn't go into the dark Forest at all none of this would've happened and the myth of the Shademaker should've been left just that a myth.
Runt then stepped forward towards Aurora rather nervously "I'm sorry for throwing a rock at your brother i just didn't think he was real."
Claudette stepped forward too "Stinky is also sorry too,aren't you stinky?"Claudette asked glaring daggers at stinky who nodded still frightened at the appearance of Aurora.
Aurora looked at the pups "Lovely." "What about Shademaker?"Runt asked a bit scared
"he will go back to his forest,and it'll be a long while before he'd try to attack you again but don't worry I'll know if he does."Aurora said everyone looked at each other fearing that the Wrath of Shademaker isn't over
"farewell everyone until we meet again."Aurora said as she beamed back towards the sky at an astonishing speed. Everyone stared at the blue sky in stunned silence then a voice shook them out of it "Guys!"Kate called out running out of the tree line with garth and Hutch in tow "what happened did we miss anything?!"Hutch asked
Everyone looked to see humphrey groaned awake "Ow my head." Kate ran over to humphrey Garth noticed the destruction around him "What the heck happened here ?!"Garth asked in confusion everyone stared at him in confusion noticing the kiss marks all over him Lilly stared at Garth in complete anger Garth's eyes darted around then he pointed towards Kate then everyone looked towards Kate who scoffed "Not even on a dare."
The next day
After the exciting day yesterday everything slowly began to go back to normal kate was informed on what happened while she was gone and in turn kate told everyone about Daria,lois and their tribe near the dark forest and the full Story of Shademaker.
Link and Lyle are the road to make a full recovery as are Amber and Flynn.
Stinky gained a new found fear and respect towards myth and legends and apologized to runt for how he treated him.
As for Shademaker He rests in his black cave healing and waiting.
One beautiful moonlit night Humphrey,Kate,Runt,Stinky and Claudette all stared into the night sky. "So Shademaker is a god?"Humphrey asked "yep born before the beginning of time."Kate answered.
Then Runt watched as a shooting star flew by as a thought crossed his mind "hey mom do you think there are other beings like Aurora and Shademaker outside beyond those stars besides Fenrir?" Kate continued staring at the sky "if their are hopefully they are more friendly like Aurora than Shademaker."
