Logan grabbed the doorknob of the loft's entrance and twist, only to find the door locked.

"'Ro…darlin'…," he muttered as he slid his body down to the floor, resting his back and head against the wall. He thought that she would have gotten over their earlier spat, but clearly, he was wrong. He knew she would be pissed off at him, but not this pissed to lock him out of their loft. He sighed heavily thinking back to the earlier scene in their Danger Room session.

They were running a training exercise, where they were fighting the Brotherhood. Ororo was the leader of the team consisting of him, Bobby, Kurt and Kitty, and she had mapped out a solid tactical plan for them to defeat their enemies. But leave it to him to deviate from the plan and anger her. The team members were all busy fighting their own member of Magneto's group, but she had somehow found herself trapped between Sabertooth and Avalanche. He should have trusted her to deal with the two, but he wanted her nowhere near the sadistic Sabertooth.

He quickly dispatched the Blob he was fighting and went to help her. The look on her face when she saw him was enough to freeze his adamantium-laced behind and she had quickly called an end to the session. Suffice it to say, she ripped him a new one for diverging from the plan and not following directions. He in turn, yelled at her that he would make no apologies for being overprotective and wanting to keep her safe. Although it was just a simulation, the thought of her in danger was totally unacceptable to him, especially the thought of her in danger when Sabertooth was involved.

He knew she was in there as he could clearly hear her breathing. Damn, but she was stubborn. He sighed again and gave it another try. "Baby, open the door." When he heard no movement on the other side, he continued, "I didn't mean ta make ya look incompetent as a leader," he voiced, repeating some of the words that was part of her earlier tirade. "Ya know I respect ya and yer position. It's just that…" he stopped as he heard her soft steps as she made her way to the door.

"I know yer more than capable of taking care of yourself," he said, pride lacing his words. He had trained her after all. "It's just that I can't take off my overprotectiveness, as ya call it. It's part 'o who I am, baby."

After a few seconds, he heard the lock unlatch and the knob turning. When the door opened, he jumped up quickly and gathered her in his arms. Their simultaneous 'I love you' were heard and he quickly moved them into the room, locking the door. He had some making up to do.
