Hi guys, I'm finally back to this book. I know it has been a real long delay and I apologise. Though, I hope that this chapter will be interesting for you readers.
Haruki glanced at Kenma uncertainly. It's 12:30 in the morning. Surely, just one night won't hurt right? She'll just leave before the sun rises, no big deal. She fiddled with her hoodie strings. Come on, Haruki. Make up your mind already.Heart pounding fast in her chest, she nodded her head.
He does seems like a nice guy. Doesn't look like a pervert...
She could have sworn she saw Kenma's eyes sparkled. But he quickly turned his head away. Haruki could sense something missing in his heart. As though something in his life has been taken away from him. Or maybe even someone.
"You could sleep on my bed," Kenma said bluntly. Haruki's head shot up. He... he doesn't mean..."I'll sleep on the couch in the living room." Kenma said as he got up to his feet. Haruki stood there dumbfounded. She couldn't help but to let out a sigh of relief. I'm being too paranoid. She watched as Kenma headed out of the room and left the door slightly ajar.
She hop onto his bed and pulled her knees up to her chest, her mind wandering of. Soon, her eyelids were drooping. She was about to pass out when something opened the window roughly and hopped onto the bed.
"Daku?!" Haruki yelped in surprise but then immediately covered her mouth with her hand. She strained her ears only to hear the soft snoring of Kenma.
She let out a sigh of relief then glared at the creature that stood before her.
"Looks like you found someone," the creature smirked. "But you know that it's pointless, dear."
"Get out, Daku." Haruki hissed as she shoved him away.
Daku dodged out of the way and sighed. He licked his white paw and used it to smooth the top of his head. "Oh, Haruki. When will you realise that you're made for me? You only have less than a month left and soon you will be mine."
Haruki eyes widened as she took in what Daku had just said. That grey and white cat is right. She only has less than a month. She took a swift glance to the door and back to Daku.
But Daku had already hop onto the window ledge, his amber eyes sparkling in the dark as he blinked at her slowly before vanishing into the dead of night.
Haruki folded her arms. Daku's wrong. So wrong. Like I'll ever go back to that cat world and marry that brat. She rubbed her eyes and let out a yawn. She pulled the covers up as she snuggled in and gave in to sleep.
