"So none of this is ringing a bell?" Mabel asked.

"No, sorry, dude" Soos said, he currently didn't know what to think of this strange girl who snuck into his room in the mental ward, declaring that she knew him.

"You don't remember any of it? Not even me?" Mabel said on the verge of tears that Soos didn't remember her. "What about my brother, Dipper?" she said showing him the picture, but Soos just shrugged not remembering him either.

"Look, dude, the idea that all this is illusion created by some weird triangle demon seems interesting, but believing in that stuff will get you locked up in here" Soos sighed, these bare white walls were draining his normally happy-go-lucky personality.

Mabel also sighed, there had to be something that could get Soos to remember who he was. She continued to search through his bag before finding something that might do the trick. "here, eat this" she smiled pulling out a slice of pizza.

"Did you just pull that out of your backpack?" Soos asked, it wasn't even in a container! However as she handed it to him, the pizza was still hot, had no signs that had ever been touched by anything, so of course Soos quickly took a large bite out of it, as it was the first decent food he had in what he believed to be months on end.

However as soon as he took a bite out of the pizza respawned, it came back just as hot and tasty as ever. "What the-" Soos gasped and nearly dropped the pizza slice. "You wished for that infinite pizza slice when you were given a time wish" Mabel said and then went on to explain how she and Dipper won Globnar for Soos, though they assumed he would use the wish to be reunited with his distant, well, deadbeat, dad.

"My . . . dad" Soos said softly some memories started to come back to him, the various post cards from all over the US.

Sorry, Champ, couldn't make it this year

Soos nearly broke down crying but Mabel hugged him, as she could tell the illusion was breaking, they just had to talk a little longer. She hoped it would be this easy to get everyone else to remember, of course they had to find the others first.

Stan sighed as he walked into the bar, yes he was happy that Mabel was back, but with Ford out of commission and Dipper still Bill's clutches he couldn't help but feel depressed. He sat down and drank while listening to people shoot pool, play darts, whine about their life problems, or try to flirt with the attractive waitresses.

"Another please" he said, however his bartender, another attractive young woman, seemed busy chatting up one of the more handsome, younger, patrons of the bar. "Hey, refill please" he said a little louder to get her attention. She swiftly walked over to him, saying nothing as she refilled his drink, but also Stan got a good look at her.

She was young, he would be willing to bet that she was underage and shouldn't be working in a place like this, had messy blonde hair with streaks of different colors in it, as well as wearing too much make up. For most girls this style would probably be used to get bigger tips, however Stan was familiar with bars like this, and it's female employees, probably a little more than he should be, but he was a young heartbreaker once. He could tell from this girl, her mannerisms, she wasn't trying to arouse the male customers but rather trying to keep people from truly seeing her.

He kept an eye on her, as he noticed that the conversation between her and the man from earlier didn't seem to be casual or flirty talk like how it normally is. The man seemed . . . hostile. They seemed to be actively arguing about something, but the girl was trying to play it cool but he could tell she looked nervous as she fiddled with empty shot glasses. The man then aggressively grabbed her wrist. "Outside, now Northwest" he growled just within an earshot of Stan who now realized why the girl looked so familiar, Pacifica. Even before Bill's curse he knew her family went broke but he didn't expect to see her looking this rough.

Stan slowly fallowed them outside and saw the young man push her up again the wall "where's my money?" he demanded. "I already told you I'll have it to you in three weeks tops" Pacifica said, her snotty tone coming back out.

"Yeah, see I can't wait that long, and I know you can do better, do you know what happens when pretty girls get desperate?" he smirked and Stan slipped on his brass knuckles. He didn't have much affection for Pacifica, she was still the same age as Mabel, and no seventeen year old girl should be subjected to that kind of harassment regardless of whether she was needed to complete the zodiac or not.

Pacifica spat at the guy and tried to fight him off, but wasn't any match for him. "Hey, get away from her!" Stan yelled, the man only laughed "might want to stay out of this one, Grandpa" however Stan's reply was to punch him hard in the face, causing him to fall backwards with his nose bloodied and most likely broken.

Pacifica took this brief second of confusion to kick the man right in the crotch. "I like your style, kid" Stan chuckled more to himself before turning to Pacifica. "Let's go" he said as they ran away from the bar.

"Why did you help me?" Pacifica asked, when they finally stopped a good distance away from the man and could catch their breath. "I have a great niece about your age" Stan replied now suddenly feeling a bit awkward. Pacifica just nodded, probably also feeling awkward, as in her current state she wasn't expecting anyone to be looking out for her, well, not without strings attached.

"So . . . how would you like a better job?" Stan asked trying not to come off as creepy.

"What kind of job?" she asked crossing her arms, not fully trusting him.

"The Mystery Shack, we can use a good salesperson" Stan said remembering what Wendy told him earlier about Pacifica being good at getting idiots to part with their money.

"Didn't they have that place condemned?" she asked.

"Well we're fixing it up and re-opening it, look just check it out and if you don't like it you can leave" Stan said, hoping that Mabel and Soos would be back to help her remember.

Pacifica thought about it for a minute before nodding "alright, let's go."

Dipper was thrown back in his cell in Bill's fearamid, which unknown to everyone was still hovering above the town, it was invisible, transparent, casting no shadows, but still there.

He was still furious with his great uncles, how could they act so innocent when they betrayed him so easily?! It was only a year after Weirdmageddon Bill had returned, everyone tried to fight together to defeat him but Bill was powerful and they were losing, Dipper had been prepared to die with his family, until out of nowhere.

"Give me Pine Tree!"

Bill tried to make a deal with them, if they gave him Dipper, they could all leave freely, of course Stan had accepted the deal instantly, and was ready to grab Mabel and leave, Mabel, who always was his favorite. Dipper clenched his fist at memory, but Ford also didn't hesitate that much longer to leave Dipper to be tortured by Bill. Dipper probably would've offered himself willingly up if Bill had asked him to the make the deal first, but he was sure that if he had that Mabel and his great uncles would be begging him not to do it, but they hadn't.

Dipper looked to the bruises on his arms and chest from Bill's various methods of torturing him, it was real, that wasn't an illusion, but why did his great uncles act so innocent, and why would Bill ask for him? Surely, if he did try to make a deal for one of them it would be Ford because he wanted to get the he secret to leave this place.

It didn't make any sense!

"Bill's a monster, it doesn't need to make sense" Dipper muttered to himself.

Still he needed to learn what was going on, he was sure his family had forsaken him, but he why wouldn't they admit it?

For better or worse, he needed to find Mabel.
