Next chapter for the sequel and I'm excited to do this one because I know someone at least was forced to do a play in kindergarten. Hehe.
Ch 5: Big Bad Wolf
(Heart's POV)
Three months of school went by and I never heard anything from the school or having to come get Elena. I was happy that things seemed to calm down. At the same time, I'm sure that friend of hers, Sam, had something to do with it. It made me glad that the girl looked out for my daughter. I was honestly grateful in more ways than one.
The extermination came and went, and it was just the same as always. I took my sleeping pills so that I could sleep through it or at least halfway through it. Alastor mainly stayed up to keep an eye on me. Elena kept herself distracted with Rufio. Sometimes if we were awake at the same time we would try and do something together. Like play games or read. Something to keep ourselves distracted.
I was glad that Alastor changed up the safe room a little more since Elena got older. He made it more like a small apartment with bedrooms that had doors instead of things being out in the open. The main reason I feel was because Alastor could get bored and wanted to do something, specifically with me, without Elena seeing. Plus, we only did that when she got tired and slept, but we still locked our door. Rufio either stayed with her or kept her out of the room if she woke up. The whole room was still soundproof, so we didn't really get disturbed.
But anyway, after the extermination, it was back too normal and Elena went to school while we went to work. The hotel was doing well. Giuseppe's was still as busy as always. Alastor still enjoyed his radio hosting and more people were taking interest in it again, which made the deer demon happy. Although I feel that even if the only people that listened were Elena and me. He'd be happy with that. He realized how much safer he was doing his radio broadcasts. He kept his family into consideration, and it made me happy he realized this.
Just last month Elena came to me saying how her class was putting on a play. It was an adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood. The girl was a little unsure about it but wanted to try out for a role anyway. She wanted to try and be Little Red Riding Hood, but I told her that a its a main role and she then said it would be better to try and be one of the other animals in the woods that had one line or so. I told her to try and see how it went.
When she came home the next day after auditions, she said she got a part, but not one she wanted. She got to be the Big Bad Wolf. She didn't seem to be all that happy about getting the role, but I told her that it wouldn't be that bad and to try it out and see if she liked it. Alastor and I helped her memorize her lines and tried to act it out with her. Alastor was the best at it honestly.
After a month of practicing, she realized that she did enjoy the role and liked it, even if she was the Big Bad Wolf. She had fun. At least we made it fun for her. When she would practice at school the kids were still a little mean to her, but she seemed to work past it. She told me how CJ got the role of the woodcutter that came to hunt the wolf, but at least he behaved during practice she told me.
It was the week before the play and her teacher wanted the kids to all make their own costumes. This would be interesting since Elena didn't really need much. She already had wolf ears and a tail, but I'm sure they wanted more. The girl wasn't ready to learn her shapeshifting abilities. At least in my opinion I don't think she was ready, weather she had them or not. So, making a costume was the only option.
"Thanks for helping out Angel. We both were not very good when it came to trying to make clothes." Heart said as Angel was working.
"It's no worry babe. I'm happy to help." The spider said as he cut the thread.
Angel was helping us with Elena's outfit. I wasn't that great at making clothes. Alastor had some experience but it was for his voodoo dolls. Angel was used to working with a needle and thread and making clothes. He usually made his own outfits for shows and helped out with costume designing for the theater when Russ asked him for help.
Angel handed the long-sleeved shirt with some fur sticking out of some rips to Elena. She tried it on, and it looked good. The idea was the fur was ripping out of the shirt and he did a good job of making it look so natural.
Elena looked at herself and she smiled. "This looks wonderful Uncle Angel. Thank you."
"I'm happy to help ya baby girl. You'll do wonderful in your play. I know it." Angel smiled at her as he fixed some of the fur.
"Think I can do big plays one day like you and Uncle Russ?" Elena asked with excitement.
"Ya have to see how much ya like it first before committin' to dat." Angel told her. "It takes a lot a work."
"One step at a time then." Elena concluded.
"That's right!" Angel agreed and messed with her hair. "Now let's work on these fuzzy paws."
The spider turned back to work. He took some fingerless gloves he had laying around and started to work. Elena took the shirt off and handed it to me. I folded it and laid it on a pair of pants that were done the same way with fur sticking out. Elena watched as Angel worked, she was definitely interested.
Her play was next week, and the girl was excited. She could only invite two people to come see the play. She gave Alastor and I the tickets to go. She was sad she couldn't have all her aunts and uncles come to watch her. I told her that I can video the whole thing and show everyone how amazing she did. She was happy about that at least.
Soon enough Angel had the 'paws' done and had Elena try them on. She liked them and even did a growl as well. She was good at that at least. She was getting the hang of learning her different wolf sounds. She was even figuring out her deer ones as well, much to Alastor's dismay. He was embarrassed to even want to do his noises. Unless it was during his time of the year. Either way it was amazing to see that she was learning.
Angel laughed at her and told her to put the whole thing on to see how it looked. With my help she put her whole outfit on, and it looked so cute all together. She even tried to say some of her lines and act out some stuff while in the outfit. It definitely worked out and she was adorable. I think she'll be the cutest one there.
We spend the rest of the day at the hotel. When Alastor arrived, Elena showed him her outfit and he pretended to be scared of it. Of course, it was all for her to be happy and she thought it was funny. She said it was weird for her daddy to be scared of some costume. Of course, that was something she didn't know about Alastor. About how he was actually afraid of dogs. That was a story that would come later. Or in our case, later that night because she asked.
As we tucked her into bed, she seemed nervous to ask. "Mommy. Daddy. Can I ask you something?" She started.
Alastor was putting the book away that he just finished reading her as I was fixing her blankets. "Sure pup, you can ask us anything." I answered her as I sat on the side of the bed.
The deer demon walked back over and stood next to me. "What do you have on your mind, my light?"
She paused a moment as she held Owen. "What are you afraid of? You already know I don't like the dark, but what about you? What are your fears?"
I paused to think at that question. "Well, I'm afraid of a lot of things. Sometimes it's hard to pinpoint one fear in a sea of many."
"Like what?" Elena wondered.
"Um, let me think." I took a moment to think. "I don't like to fly. I only do it when I need to. Sometimes I can be afraid of bugs. Just to name a few."
Alastor was quiet a moment. I wasn't sure if he was going to say anything or not, but even he can be full of surprises. "Dogs." He finally said softly. "I'm afraid of dogs."
Elena looked at him with a tilt of her head. "Dogs?" Alastor nodded as he looked away from her. She put her ears back. "So... are you afraid of mommy? Of me?"
Alastor's ears went up and he quickly looked at Elena. "No. If there is anyone, I'm not afraid of, it's you. I'd never be afraid of you. I'm not afraid of your mother either." He put his hand on top of my head and I relaxed at his touch. "Your mother and I established that a long time ago. It was one of her fears." Elena looked surprised when he said that. "She was scared I wouldn't love her for what she was. That didn't matter to me. I love her for who she is, not what she is." I smiled as I leaned into his side and he gently petted my head. He looked down at me with a genuine smile.
I then added. "I think that is an important thing to learn. I know you are too young to understand but take my words wisely for the future for when you do love someone. Try to love them for who they are. Not what they are. Nor the baggage they may carry with them. Don't' judge them for their past, just their present and if you see them in your future. We would accept you either way. Unless in some way they hurt you, that is something to consider. If you want to forgive them or forget them." I said as I looked up at Alastor. He looked down at me with sad eyes. He knew there were times that I had forgiven him for many things he did to me. In the end he apologized for all he did. I'd never forget the things that happened but at least I could forgive. Plus, I loved Alastor as much as he loved me so in the end it didn't matter.
"You know what I am most afraid of though?" Alastor added.
"More than dogs?" Elena wondered.
"More than dogs." Alastor said with a small chuckle. He went and sat down on the edge of the bed closer to Elena. He put his hand on her shoulder. "I'm afraid of losing you." He whispered to her.
She looked at him and was a bit surprised by his words. Even so she still smiled wide and got up a little out of bed and went to hug her father. She wrapped her arms around his neck and put her face there. Alastor wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly to him. I put my ears to the side at the moment. She could understand that her father was concerned about her and she just wanted to comfort him.
Elena pulled her head away to look at him. "You'll never lose me daddy. I promise."
"I'll keep you to that promise, little light." Alastor smiled softly as he kissed her forehead. "Now it's time for bed, ok. No more questions." The young girl nodded and went to sit back in bed and pulled her covers back over her. Alastor tucked her in and then gave her another kiss. "Goodnight, my fawn."
He stood up and then I gave her a kiss as well. "Goodnight Elena."
She gave a yawn while also saying, "Goodnight."
We both headed out of the room. Rufio decided to stay with the girl that night. As I closed the door, I saw Alastor standing there with his ears down.
"Al, what's wrong?" I asked softly as I walked up beside him and wrapped an arm around his waist.
He didn't say anything as he reached down and then picked me up into his arms, carrying me bridal style. I was surprised by this and let out a small squeak. I didn't question anything as Alastor held me and then walked up the steps and into our bedroom. He placed me in the middle of the bed and close to the headboard. He then took his shoes off as he got into bed with me.
"Al, what are you-" But I didn't get to finish as he crawled on top of me.
He just collapsed against me, his face in my chest as his ears were still back. I just smiled at him sadly. He was holding back emotions he wasn't sure of. I leaned back against the headboard of the bed, taking the deer demon with me. Once we were comfortable, I put my cheek on his head and then started to pet his ears. He did this a lot for me and I'm sure it was just calming for him as well.
We just sat in silence. Just the sound of our breathing heard. I was worried about Alastor a moment, but I'm sure this was calming him. I didn't want to say anything. I'd just let him do what he needed to. He had wrapped his arms around me so that I was brought closer to him.
After a few minutes, Alastor turned his head and spoke. "I love you."
"I love you too, my great buck." I said in return. "Are you feeling better?"
He nodded. "A bit. I just don't know what came over me."
"It's ok to not be sure. As long as I am here, I'll be here for you." I said down to him.
Alastor's hold on me tightened a little bit. "I've lost you one to many times in the past. I don't know what I would do without you now. You're too important to me." He whispered.
I smiled at him softly. "I don't know what I would do without you either." I whispered back. "But I won't go anywhere. You're stuck with me forever."
That managed to get him to chuckle. "I'm ok with forever. I'd rather have my family forever then not have one at all. I've learned that."
"Forever it is." I said as I kissed his head.
We stayed like that all night until we both feel asleep.
(Third Person POV)
It was now the day of the play at school. Heart managed to get off work and Alastor had his broadcast that morning so that he could be at the school on time for the play. The play was happening at the end of the school day. Students from the rest of the school could go as well as whoever was invited from the kids in the play.
Heart pulled up to the school after picking up Alastor from the station. The two got out and headed into the building. Other parents and guardians also walked in. Once they saw Alastor some just kind of stayed out of the way. Some wondered why the Radio Demon was in the school. They were afraid that he was here to do something. Little did they know that he was just here to watch his daughter do the play.
The two made their way to the auditorium and managed to find a seat. They sat in the back on the end, that way people could avoid them if they wanted to. Heart didn't like the idea of sitting all the way in the back but Alastor said it would be better if they did.
Honestly the two were excited to see their daughter being a part of something like this. Sure it was just a small kindergarten play, but to them it was a milestone. They wanted to support her to try new things and they hoped this would be a step.
Backstage Elena was ready in her outfit as the other kids were getting ready to. She managed to sneak towards the curtain and look out into the audience. She was a little bit shy because of all the people. That was something she wasn't ready for. She had to try though.
As she continued to look out she tried to look for her parents. As she looked around, she eventually found them in the back of the auditorium and that made her smile that she managed to see them. At least they made it. She knew her parents wouldn't miss this day. She had to put on a good show for them.
"Ok everyone it's almost time. Gather around please." Mrs. Argo called.
Elena went away from the curtain and walked over to the teacher. All the kids were now in their outfits and were ready to go. At least Sam was there with her. She was Little Red Riding Hood, worked out well for the little imp. Plus it worked out well for the young hybrid as well since with Sam there it would be a little easier for her.
"Alright, now is everyone ready for show time?" The teacher asked with excitement in her voice.
The avian was just as excited for the play as the students were.
All the kids nodded at the same time at the question.
"Perfect. Let's get everyone all set then." Mrs. Argo told them and started to help the kids all get into their spots.
Elena went and hid behind a fake tree while Sam was on the far side of the stage. Another student, who was also an imp named Donna, played Red Riding Hood's mother. They stood next to Sam on the side of the stage to start the scene. Elena saw CJ off on the side of the stage. He was talking to one of his friends, it was the other hellhound, who she found out his name was Liam. She didn't trust what the two were talking about. Liam handed CJ an ax since he was playing the role of the woodsman. To Elena she just thought it was his prop one for the play so she just kind of ignored them and tried to get back into the mindset of the play.
The teacher walked out to the front of the stage and got everyone in the audience to settle down. "Welcome one and all to the Kindergarten play of Little Red Riding Hood. The students have been working very hard the last month to get this play together. We really hope you enjoy it." She gave a bow and went to the side of the stage where a podium was. She was going to be the narrator for the story.
The curtains started to rise and the lights slowly came on. In the seats, Heart pulled out her phone so that she could record the whole thing for her friends. That and to show Elena how well she did for her first time on stage. She was almost wanting to cry, but kept her emotions held down.
As the lights came on, there was the music teacher playing a piano off to the side. It was time to start. The teacher started off.
"Once upon a time there was a very beautiful young girl who lived in a village near the forest with her mother. She had a very nice red riding cloak, that is why everybody in the village called her Little Red Riding Hood. One day the girl's mother wanted her to go off to go visit her grandmother who lived in a village on the other side of the woods." Mrs. Argo narrated.
That caused the first scene between Sam and Donna.
Sam started. "Mother did you call for me?"
"Yes, darling. Your grandmother is very sick. I want you to go to her house and take her this little basket with some bread and honey." Donna said perfectly as she handed Sam a basket. She must have been studying her lines for a while.
"Poor grandmother. I'll make sure she gets better soon." Sam said.
Donna pointed at her sternly, "But don't stop in the forest, and don't talk to strangers. Do as I say, and you'll get to your grandmother's house soon."
"Yes Mother." Sam started to skip away, and Donna went off stage.
Mrs. Argo started up again to narrate. "And Little Red Riding Hood went through the forest with the little basket for her grandmother. Along the way, she saw many beautiful flowers along the small path. Little did she know that she would run into someone unexpected."
"Oh, what beautiful flowers! I will take some to my grandmother." Sam put her basket down and started to pick up some of the fake paper flowers on the ground.
Now it was Elena's turn. She took a deep breath as she soon came out from behind the fake tree. "Good morning Little Red Riding Hood! Ha, ha." The girl laughed, but she almost sounded like she was trying to copy her father.
In the audience, Heart came a small chuckled as she looked at Alastor. "She hangs out with you too much." She whispered.
"Not my fault she wants to pick up on things I say or do." Alastor whispered back.
Back on stage, Sam turned to Elena as she held the fake flowers. "Good morning, Mr. Wolf."
"Where are you going so early?" The wolf, Elena, asked.
"I am going to my grandmother's house to take her this little basket with some bread and honey. She is sick and my mother wants me to go visit her."
"Ha, ha and does your grandmother live far from here, Little Red Riding Hood?"
"Oh no, Mr. Wolf, she lives just across the forest in the first little house in the next village; the one with the white door."
"I hope she gets better. And look, do you see that road?" Elena said as she pointed to the back of the stage.
"Yes, I do." Sam nodded.
"Just follow that road and you will get soon to your grandmother's house." Elena said as she had a smirk on her face.
"Oh, yes I will, thank you!" Sam said and went to skip off stage.
"Good-bye, Little Red Riding Hood. Ha, ha!" Elena then went and ran off to the other side of the stage.
The stage went black a moment as some of the adults backstage helped rearrange the set. The audience clapped.
"She did really well so far." Alastor whispered to Heart.
"I'm so proud of her for memorizing her lines so well. She is doing well, and she is so cute up there." Heart said with a small giggle.
Soon the lights slowly came back on and Mrs. Argo started again. "Little Red Riding Hood kept looking for flowers, disobeying her mother who told her not to stop in the forest so that she could get to her grandmother's house. Meanwhile, the wolf knocked on the door of Little Red Riding Hood grandmother's house."
Elena came back out from the side of the stage and went to the fake door to knock on it. On the other side of the door, on a bed, sat another student who was playing the grandmother. The student was a succubus, whose name was Maddy.
"Who's there." The student asked.
Elena tried to fake Sam's voice but only just made it a higher pitch. "It's me grandmother, Little Red Riding Hood, and I brought you a basket with some bread and honey."
"Come in child. Give your grandma a big hug. I've been waiting for you." Maddy said as she sat up in the bed.
"As soon as the wolf entered, he gobbled up Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother." Mrs. Argo stated.
As she said that; Elena quickly pushed open the door and jumped onto the bed. The lights went dark. On stage, Maddy went off stage and Elena sat down in the bed as someone gave her a nightgown to put over top of her outfit.
"A play after my own heart." Alastor chuckled.
Heart gently slapped his arm, telling him to stop.
As the light went back on, the teacher started up again. "The wolf put on a nightgown, jumped into bed and waited for the little girl. A few minutes later Little Red Riding Hood arrived at her grandmother's house. She knocked at the door."
Sam skipped from the side of the stage and knocked on the fake door.
Elena was now trying to fake an old lady voice. "Who's there?"
"It's me grandmother, Little Red Riding Hood, and I brought you a basket with some bread and honey." Sam stated.
"Come in child. Give your grandma a big hug. I've been waiting for you." Elena tried to imitate what the grandmother had said.
Mrs. Argo then narrated. "Little Red Riding Hood entered the little house. She went straight to her grandmother's room, and in the bed, there was the Wolf dressed in her grandmother´s clothes but she didn't suspect a thing."
"Come in, my little girl. Rest for a while" Elena said.
Sam sat in a chair that was set up near the bed. "Oh, how big ears you have, grandmother!"
"They are to hear you better, honey." The wolf answered.
Sam pointed to Elena's face. "And how big eyes you have!"
The wolf said, "To see you better, Little Red Riding Hood."
Sam then had a funny look on her face. "Oh grandmother, and why do you have those big teeth and that big mouth?"
"They are to eat you better! Ha, ha!" Elena growled and then jumped out of bed and grabbed a hold of Sam who let out a tiny scream.
The stage went black and the teacher narrated again. "And the Wolf gobbled up Little Red Riding Hood. Then the wolf fell asleep."
Alastor leaned over to Heart. "Are you sure this story isn't about me?"
Heart chuckled and smacked him again. "Alastor stop it."
Sam went off stage and Elena went back into the bed and laid down. The lights came back on and CJ came onto the stage now.
Mrs. Argo continued. "Meanwhile a woodsman was passing by the little house, when he saw the door opened." CJ stopped and looked at the door confused. "He entered, looked for the old lady, and then he saw the wolf."
CJ stood beside the bed where Elena was pretending to sleep. "The wolf is sleeping! And he's so fat! This doesn't seem right. Where is the old lady?" CJ pretended to look around.
Mrs. Argo then said. "The wolf woke up and the woodsman managed to grab it by its neck."
CJ did just that, but the hellhound was actually holding Elena tightly by her throat. No one thought anything of it since they thought it was all an act. She actually was having trouble breathing and was clawing at his hands to let her go.
In the audience, Heart looked at the scene happening and was concerned. She knew her daughter. That was not a fake look of fear in her eyes. That was real. This wasn't right. She turned to Alastor and she noticed the look on his face. He must have known that this was not acting anymore.
"Alastor." Heart said in a worried tone.
Mrs. Argo wasn't sure either if it was fake but continued. "T-The woodsman took his ax after fighting with the wolf and managed to cut open the beast's stomach."
CJ held onto Elena still and took the ax in his hand. It shined off the light of the spotlight. Something was telling her something wasn't' right. It was a feeling in her stomach that was screaming at her to run.
"I'm going to slit you open, and everyone is going to watch you bleed out. Right here on stage." CJ whispered down to her as he got a smirk on his face.
CJ took the ax and slashed it down onto Elena's side. The ax was heavy for the boy, but he was not able to chop but slash the ax. The boy let her go as the blood fell to the stage. Elena let out a scream of pain and fell down, holding her side. She brought her hand back to see the black blood on her palm. Tears started to fill her eyes as she looked back up at CJ who was smirking still, and he brought the ax back up to injure her more.
"CJ stop!" That was Mrs. Argo who was now watching the scene unfold on stage. This was not acting anymore.
Part of the audience was in shock while the other half was enjoying it.
Heart on the other hand had stopped recording and put her phone back in her pocket. She could not believe what she just saw, and her heart was beating fast in her ears. Her ears back as she covered her mouth, so she didn't scream herself. She was stuck on what to do, frozen in fear. She didn't know what was going to happen next.
Before she could even react. Heart felt her fur stand on end as the sound of static filled the air. She looked over and saw that Alastor was also not happy either. His antlers grew from his head as his eyes glowed brightly.
"Alastor, please, don't start a scene." Heart pleaded with him as she placed a hand on his arm.
The deer demon stood up from his chair. The static grew louder and louder until it was starting to affect everyone in the room, and it was starting to hurt ears. Heart covered hers. The static got so piercing that it then burst all the lightbulbs in the auditorium, including the ones on stage. The whole place went black. The sound of flicking radio stations was then heard throughout the place. Everyone was put on edge now.
CJ on stage had dropped his ax and was looking out into the audience at the pair of glowing eyes that had now turned into radio dials. As well as the glowing yellow teeth. They were looking directly at him. He felt fear go through his body. He had expected the Radio Demon to be in the audience, but he wasn't expecting this kind of reaction.
Elena still was crying on stage as she held her bleeding side. She knew her dad could be scary. She wasn't scared of this. If anything, she was happy that her dad intervened. She honestly didn't care what he did at this point. She just wanted to go home.
Alastor slipped into shadow's and made his way to the stage. He appeared again on the stage next to Elena and picked the girl up into his arms.
CJ was frozen in fear as he now saw the Radio Demon standing in front of him. He felt his breath getting stuck in his throat a moment as he stared. Alastor's head snapped to the boy and his radio dial eyes returned and he glared down at the boy. He let out a loud sound of white noise directed at the young hellhound. The light of his face made the hound's face glow in the darkened auditorium.
Elena felt herself being picked up and she opened her eyes to see her dad holding her. "Daddy." She whispered and grabbed a hold of his shirt as she started to cry. "I want to go home."
Alastor's attention went to the girl, his scary facade disappearing quickly. "We are my fawn. We are." He whispered down to her. His attention turned back to CJ. He quickly opened his mouth as white noise sounded again and snapped them shut in front of the boy's face before quickly disappearing off stage into shadow again. He reappeared next to Heart, wrapping an arm around her, and disappearing again. He took them to the car, and he got in the back seat with Elena while Heart got in the driver seat.
"Should we go to Dr. Talon?" Heart asked as her hand started to shake to find the key.
"Yes, just to be sure. We don't know how bad her wound is." Alastor told her as he tried to take a piece of cloth to cover her wound. "I would heal it, but I don't know the extent of it."
Heart's breath was fast as her hand still shook. Alastor noticed his wife's distress and he didn't want her to have a panic attack right now on top of all this. He reached a hand over to put it on her head and he started to pet her gently.
"Heart, calm down love. It will all be ok." The deer spoke softly to her. "She is fine. It's really not that bad, I just want the doctor to look her over."
The wolf-dragon nodded and her tears finally escaped her eyes. She wiped them away quickly and got the car key to start the car. She turned in her seat to start driving and Alastor took his hand back. They drove to the hotel and Heart parked right outside and they headed inside. Those in the lobby got worried as they ran in. They tried to ask questions but there was no time as they quickly went to the elevator and up to the floor where the scientist resided.
When they got there and knocked on the door, the wolf demon was surprised and quickly took them inside to look over the girl. They explained what happened at the play and the wolf was even more worried. He lifted up her shirt and cleaned the wound to see how bad it was. He gave a small sigh of relief after.
"It's not bad." Dr. Talon spoke. "She won't need stitches thankfully. She is lucky that the ax was too heavy for that boy. He could have done a lot worse damage."
"Will it be ok if I heal it then?" Alastor asked.
"You may." The wolf demon nodded and then tried to clean up the bloody mess.
Heart was also relieved to hear that Elena would be fine and nothing bad had happened to her. It was a breath of fresh air. She watched as Alastor placed his hand on Elena's side and his hand glowed green a moment before pulling it away. The wound was healed but left behind was a small, faded scar.
Elena sat up from the table and looked at her parents who had concern still on their faces. "Thank you for coming to my side, daddy. I don't know what else CJ would have done."
"Of course, my light. I'll always be there for you when I can." Alastor said to her as he placed a hand on her head.
Elena smiled and gave a chuckle. "Can we go home now?"
Alastor nodded. "We can. I think home sounds good to me." He helped the girl off the table and held her a moment. "You ok to walk?"
The girl shook her head. "I just want to sleep. Can you hold me till we get to the car?"
Alastor had no problem with that as he adjusted the girl in his arms. Elena wrapped her arms around her father and just let out a sigh of relief.
They thanked Dr. Talon before heading back out of the hotel. They all got into the car and headed on their way home. After everything that happened tonight, Elena had fallen asleep in the back of the car. Her parents were just glad that things turned out ok. In the end, she wasn't the Big Bad Wolf...CJ was.
Some parts were random. I wrote the play out so the chapter would be longer. I hope you still liked it.
Note: I am taking a break and not updating next week. I hadn't been good mentality and its been effecting my writing. Hopefully a week will help me get back on a roll
