Third Person Point of View

The Apollo campers and roman medics rushed out in droves while the rest of the combined army went to secure the area. Campers and legionnaires alike were pulled away on stretchers. Some had a white sheet covering their body. As soon as Percy collapsed, Will Solace and one of his sisters ran out onto the field to heal the fallen demi-god. Unforutanly for Percy, most of the battle he just fought had exhausted his body. The final confrontation left him running on unyielding rage, adrenaline, and pure determination. He was a sliver away from death at the time of his blackout. The duo who set out to heal Percy rushed him to one of their critical care centres. There, they worked furiously to save the life of their saviour. After hours of tireless work, he was stable and healing. They wheeled him out into the field hospital they had created. Lying in his hospital cot, Percy began to recuperate.

Percy Jackson's Point of View

I could feel a warmth gripping my hand. Opening my eyes to a blinding light that is often associated with hospitals, I began to take in my surroundings. A doctor was to my far right filling out medical forms and performing checkups on healing patients. In the general direction in front of me, a man was groaning in pain over a broken leg. Dragging my view away from him, I looked to my left and my heart skipped. My Wise Girl was laying down, her back propped against the pillow, reading a book.

"Annabeth," I managed to croak out. Her head snapped in my direction as she sprung out of bed. Her book fell to the ground forgotten as she went and grabbed a glass filled with nectar and pushed it to my lips.

"Drink, Seaweed Brain, drink," I heard her say. Her voice filled me with happiness I didn't know existed. When I saw her broken body on the battlefield, I was unsure I would ever hear it again. After drinking down the heavenly liquid, I felt her sit down on the bed beside me. She pulled my head to her lap as she began rubbing her hands through my hair.

"What happened," I spoke, my voice clearer than the last time. Truthfully, I did not entirely remember what had transpired. The entire fight after I saw her beaten and broken was a rage-filled haze. She started to patiently explain to me what happened. Her melodic voice was music to my ears. When she finished explaining I was shocked, I knew I had a temper, due to my loyalty, but I didn't know I could reach that level. It scared me about how brutal and dangerous I was. I knew that I could be in trouble with the gods. They had voted to kill me because I could be a potential danger, but now I was, quite clearly, a problem to them. Should I ever turn on them I could bring about their destruction. Annabeth must have seen the look of slight panic on my face. Still stroking my hair, she spoke.

"What is the matter, Percy." I was internally debating with myself. I could tell what was wrong, and she would prefer that to me internalizing my problems, or I could tell her. This would most likely lead to her worrying more than she should.

"Could we talk about it tomorrow Wise Girl," I pleaded? "I don't wish to have this conversation now. Can we just lay here and rest until we fall asleep. I just want to hold you until this passes." I looked up into her eyes and saw her looking at me curiously.

"Ok Seaweed Brain, but you are giving me answers when we wake up." I nodded, thankful she was understanding. Then again, when is she isn't. Laying down on the bed and snuggling into my arms, we both let out our sighs of contentment. With her head on my chest, we both fell asleep, small smiles on our faces.

AN: I wasn't sure about this story. I was thinking that it would be around five chapters and not too long, just something for me to write in my spare time. However, I think I might make the story longer for my enjoyment. Alternatively, I could just make something new and cap this story off in a few chapters, thoughts?
