Vorton
As the heroes returned through the gateway, the Keystone was lifted into the air.
GATEWAY KEEPER: This is the Elemental Phase Keystone. Also known as the Keystone with the fanciest name.
A rift opens in the gateway.
LEO: Alright, let's go find another Keystone.
They all nod and enter.
VortexThe heroes were flying through the vortex for longer than usual.
SONIC: Shouldn't we have arrived by now?
BATMAN: Yes. Something's up. Tony, check your scanner.
Iron Man then scans the vortex.
IRON MAN: Uh… Not good.
GANDALF: So what do we do?
Suddenly the Tardis arrived in the rift.
THE DOCTOR: Well I suggest you mind your heads! Hold on a sec! Not that you have a choice, you're stuck in a rift loop! C'mon! Don't just sit there, you've got a bunch of monsters to meet.
The Doctor then uses a grapple gun similar to Batman's to pull them all in. Once they enter the Tardis Batman gets to the point.
BATMAN: Who are you? What did you do to us?
THE DOCTOR: Is he always like this, Sonic? I assumed I'd just caught him at a bad time before.
SONIC: Uh, what?
THE DOCTOR: I'm the Doctor. I locked on your scanner. Remember that.
BATMAN: Before? You said before.
THE DOCTOR: Well spotted, Batman, go to the head of the class! This is the TARDIS. It travels in time. I've met you three before, but you haven't met me yet. That's time travel for you.
BATMAN: You're lying.
THE DOCTOR: No. Here's your grapple gun.
He hands Batman a grapple gun which is identical to the one he has in his possession.
BATMAN: Clearly a copy.
THE DOCTOR: Again, no. Like I say, time machine, not a 3D printer. Just give me your grapple gun later.
The Tardis then arrives in a space station of sorts.
THE DOCTOR: Okay, out you go.
The heroes then leave the Tardis.
BATMAN: Where are we?
THE DOCTOR: Does it matter? Call it, I dunno, "Dave".
He hands Sonic a card.
THE DOCTOR: This is my phone number, you call it when you get into trouble and I'll help you out, I'm nice like that. Look, normally I'd come along with you, but if I cross my own time-stream here it'll rip a hole in the universe so big you could drive Sonic's ego through it. Anyway, good luck!
He then enters the Tardis as it disappears. Gandalf looks dumbfounded.
GANDALF: Can someone explain to me what's going on, please?
IRON MAN: Not really, no. But I think another Keystone's here.
BATMAN: So somewhere on this… moon… is a keystone. Let's hunt.
SONIC: Should be able to figure this out… I am Sonic The Hedgehog, after all.
They all walk around to see if they can generate enough energy to light up the place. Iron Man then finds a power unit and uses his nanotech to power it up. They all regroup in front of a robot head. Suddenly it activates.
CYBER-CONTROLLER: Upgrade complete. Organic informs located. You will become like us.
BATMAN: I don't think so.
CYBER-CONTROLLER: Hostility Detected. Failure to comply with upgrading is not an option.
The head then moves to a robot body and it goes online.
CYBERMEN: You will become like us or you will be deleted! We are Cybermen, and you are inferior. Hostile elements will be deleted. Those who are not compatible for upgrade will be deleted.
The Cybermen then charges at the heroes but they dodge the attack.
BATMAN: We don't have time for this, we need to find the Keystone.
LEO: Agreed, let's make a tactical retreat.
CYBERMEN: Cybermen will bring unity to the Universe. We are the next level of mankind. We are human 2.0. Cyberman activate.
The heroes then retreat to a dark corridor to escape. They then look around to see angel statues surrounding them.
BATMAN: Be on your guard!
They then look away only to look back and see the statues have moved closer to them. They do it again and see the statues have moved again.
SONIC: These statues are chasing us!… and these flickering lights aren't helping!
Suddenly beneath them is a trap door, Iron Man then uses his tech to activate the door and they escape the Weeping Angels. They then ended up in a chamber full of Daleks.
SONIC: Whoa! What are they?
BATMAN: I don't know.
GANDALF: At least they aren't those statues.
Then the Daleks then turn on.
DALEK: Re-activitaing… Re-activiating… Hostiles located! Do not move!
SONIC: Who? Us? We're not hostile, we're friends of the Doctor!
DALEK: The Doctor must be exterminated!
SONIC: Well, more acquainyances, really, I didn't mean 'friend'.
DALEK: Daleks conquer and destory! You will be exterminated! Obey the Daleks! Locate the Doctor! Exterminate, annihilate, destroy! We are supreme beings! Enemies of the Daleks will be exterminated! Do not move!
DALEK EMPEROR: Silence! You will tell us everything you know about the Doctor's plans.
GANDALF: To be honest, we don't really know everything.
Dalek Emperor: Then you will be exterminated!
The Dalek Emperor had a Keystone and prepared for battle.
DALEK EMPEROR: INITIATING SCALING STRATAGEM! PROTECT THE KEYSTONE. EXTERMINATE HOSTILE LIFEFORMS! MAXIMUM EXTERMINATION! YOU ARE NO MATCH FOR THE POWER OF THE DALEKS! CEASE YOUR ATTEMPTS TO STOP US! YOU WILL BEAR WITNESS TO OUR TRUE POWER AS THE SUPREME BEGINS! THE DOCTORS ASSOCIATES WILL BE EXTERMINATED!
IRON MAN: Yeah no.
He then uses his communicator to call the Doctor. He gets no answer. They are surrounded by Daleks, ready to exterminate them.
GANDALF: I think our time is at an end.
SONIC: Yeah, I don't think the Doctor's making house calls today.
BATMAN: Come on…!
Suddenly the Tardis arrived and The Doctor exited the device.
DALEK EMPEROR: Doctor!
He then grabs a device from his pocket and shrinks The Dalek Emperor and the Daleks.
THE DOCTOR: Look, before you start on me, if you fire a shrink ray at a dimensionally transcendental time-machine, these accidents are going to happen.
DALEK EMPEROR: Exterminate him!
He then grabs the Keystone and un shrinks it.
THE DOCTOR: Hey, sorry about the shrinking, but you called me, remember?
BATMAN: About time, Doctor!
THE DOCTOR: What?! Wait, do I know you?
SONIC: Yes. And no. I'm Sonic, we're the ones who called you.
THE DOCTOR: Not the Daleks? Ah, that explains why they're so tetchy. Alright, get in!
They all enter the Tardis.
DALEK EMPEROR: You will pay for this, Doctor!
THE DOCTOR: Don't worry, you'll be fine. Just eat plenty of vegetables - excellent for growth.
The Tardis then disappears.
VORTEX
THE DOCTOR: Right, one of you, start talking. And start with why that one's got pointy ears.
They explained what happened to them and returned to Vorton.
VORTON
The Doctor is scanning Iron Man's scanner.
THE DOCTOR: Okay, I should be able to lock onto this no problem. Someone's using this rift technology like a Gallifreyan time scoop. They're pulling in monsters and madmen from everywhere.
BATMAN: We noticed.
THE DOCTOR: But that… should stop whoever's behind this tracking from you from now on. No more rift loops. Speaking of which, I should go and rescue you from one.
BATMAN: You'll need this.
He tosses him his grappler.
THE DOCTOR: I usually take the stairs, but thanks. I'll go finish up with the Daleks and their pals.
BATMAN: And we'll deal with the rest.
THE DOCTOR: Good. See you later. Or earlier.
The Tardis then disappears.
GANDALF: What an odd fellow.
The Keystone then levitates and is placed on the gateway.
GATEWAY KEEPER: The Scale Keystone. I'll handle it…
(A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, but I wanted to quickly get this one done so I can focus on the next one which will feature Sauron and The Shredder, FINALLY! I have wanted to somehow add 2003 Shredder to this series for a long time, and next time he will make his debut.)
