Olivia stood at the back of the line waiting her turn to walk through the gate. She didn't know how she was going to get in the White House, so she was following the crowd. They all had access cards. She had been on a tour of the White House in high school, but it was nothing to brag about. She was breathing deep trying to calm her nerves. Fitz chief of staff wanted to meet with her, for what? Olivia had always wanted to have a conversation with Cyrus Beane. If she attended graduate school, she was going to try to get him as her advisor. Her dreams of graduate school and law school never were more than dreams. Fitz was offered a job to work for the Governor of Vermont, and he took Olivia with him. There was no way he was letting her stay in DC being that she was pregnant. She became a housewife making jam, and he was a baseball coach on the weekends. The Vermont Lake Monsters loved him. He hated that Blake preferred basketball. It was perfect in the beginning. Going out in the woods to find berries for the jam. Signing Karrington up for girl scouts when she started school. Now, it was boring. Olivia wanted to be more than a housewife.

"You're cleared Ms. Pope."

"Excuse me?"

"Where's your access pass?"

"I don't know where it is."

"I'll print a temporary card while I put in an order for another card for you."

"Thanks...Morris." Olivia said, reading his name tag.

Olivia taped the sticky badge to her shirt and kept walking along with the crowd. When she was in the White House, she looked for directions to Cyrus office. She didn't know the relationship she had with Fitz in this reality, and she was unsure about asking someone to take her to Fitz. That would be a scandal. What was the protocol for meeting with the President? Olivia was bewildered walking around the halls.

"Liv."

"Cyrus."

"We need to talk about Verna Thornton. I think she's planning something."

"Who?"

"You know Verna. The crazy old bat who thinks Fitz shouldn't be president because we stole Defiance."

"What?"

"Liv! I need to talk to you."

Olivia recognized the lady from the pictures. "Mellie."

"You have to wait in line. Liv is my friend before she's yours." Cyrus complained.

"You're Fitz wife."

"Wow, you say that after your affair with my husband."

Olivia's phone rang. The caller ID said Abby. Olivia didn't know what person should be a priority right now. They all wanted her attention. She answered needing a break from the awkwardness of talking with Mellie.

"Hello?"

"We need you at OPA."

"Okay."

"I really need to get to my office." Olivia said to Cyrus.

"Fine, I'll come by your apartment later, and we'll talk."

"Okay."

"I'm taking my husband back." Mellie whispered in Olivia's ear.

"Okay, I really need to go."
