(Friday morning)

The next day after Caitlin woke up, got her coffee, and headed off to her only class of the day. She arrived just on time when her Biology instructor reminded everyone that they had a big assignment due on Monday. She thought to herself quickly about her plans with Barry that night and was confident that she could finish her project over the weekend.

After class, she had a nice lunch by herself to pass the time and keep her mind off things. As she ate, she decided to get some other homework out of the way, so she finished all her psychology homework which was the easiest at the time.

After about three hours of her working had passed it was around 4, so she decided to head back to her apartment and start getting ready slowly. As she arrived back in her apartment, she lay down to turn on the television and relax for a while. Eventually, around 5:30 she started to get ready slowly. After taking a long hot shower, Caitlin started wondering what to ware for the night. She tried on several outfits, still wondering if this was supposed to be a date or not. After all, it was just the two of them this time.

Trying on several cloths, she eventually settled on a black mini dress she found in her closet. After she got dressed and fixed herself up, it was about 6:30 when she headed over to see Barry. Right after grabbing her keys, she glanced over and spotted her Biology project again with a skeptical look on her face in passing.

As Caitlin pulled up to the front of Barry's apartment building, she sat in the driveway for a moment about to send Barry a text that she had arrived. At the last second though, she just decided to go knock on his door. As she knocked on his door, Caitlin waited outside for about two minutes until he opened the door. "You look gorgeous." He said with his charming smile that she had forgotten. "Thank you, Barry." She replied, as he invited her in. Barry was all dressed up in a fancy tuxedo and she stepped in letting out a long but silent sigh, relieved that she wasn't the only one dressed up.

After telling Caitlin about the plans for the night, Barry guided her out the door to his car and they both drove a Big Belly Burger not too far away. As they pulled up she said, "When you said you wanted to start with dinner, I didn't think that you meant the biggest place in town." Caitlin joked as they both laughed.

Barry started to feel guilty that he didn't take her to a nicer place. Unfortunately, he could not afford any place nice, for him or his family had never had that much money. Caitlin didn't care though at that point; she was just happy to see Barry that night. After walking in, sitting down, and ordering. They started to chat for a while.

"So Cait, what kind of music do you like?" He asked. "I would say mostly pop music, a little bit of hip-hop depending on what it is." She replied. "Oh no way." He replied. She smiled.

"So, what do you like to do on your free time?" "Mostly run I would say, I really enjoy being outside. I also listen to music a lot."

"How about your family, are you close?" "Not really, I still here from my mom from time-to-time, but my dad, we have both pretty much lost all contact with." "Sorry to hear that." Barry replied.

Caitlin starting to feel uncomfortable with the number of questions being shot at her but being afraid to say anything, she said quickly before Barry had time to think up another question; "Enough about me though. Tell me about yourself." She said intrigued.

It was Barry's turn to answer questions now as Caitlin also genuinely wanted to know more about him. "Let's see… I would say I am a real fan of pop and R&B music. I also really like being active too and I love to read. I have to say that I am close with my family, especially my mom." Caitlin acknowledged his words and feelings while sitting across from him while intensively listening. Although she frowned a little when Barry brought up the part about his parents but moved past it quickly as this was very common for her.

As they finished their meal and conversation, Barry paid for their dinner as Caitlin went to go wash up. Barry held the door open for her as they walked out of the restaurant.

As they started to leave Big Belly Burger, they both started to walk to an ice cream shop not too far away from where they parked. As they both ordered their ice cream, Barry realized that he was almost out of money to spend. Barry didn't care at this point though, this night with Caitlin was already worth every penny in the world. Caitlin didn't know, but Barry had just started feeling the same way as her.

As they both walked out of the ice cream shop, Caitlin said, "what flavor is that." "Cookies n' Cream." He replied. She rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on. You just got plain Vanilla. Boring." He joked. Caitlin gave him a small nudge as they both started laughing and joking some more.

As they both finished their ice cream, they started to walk down the sidewalk and take a seat on a bench in an empty park bench they found. There was a huge field in front of them, so they could see the sky filled with stars and the full moon over head. There were fireflies all around lighting up the night, and the only thing they could hear was the cicadas chirping. It was dead silent. So peaceful.

Both facing the field side by side. Barry then said, "beautiful night huh?" Caitlin replied, "I always love these kinds of settings." In the middle of her sentence though, she felt Barry's left hand lay on top of hers.

Just then her whole body started to heat up. So nervous, she had to hide the fact that her other arm was trembling so much. She couldn't stop thinking if this just what she had wanted. Caitlin then turned her hand around and their fingers interlocked. Now she could even feel Barry shacking a bit.

Barry put his arm around her. "I had a wonderful night." Said Caitlin.

"I'm so glad we could do this." He replied.

Just as there was a moment of silence, Barry Kissed Caitlin but she quickly leaned out in shock. Then she looked him deep into his eyes and kissed him back. Just the two of them sitting in the park alone, it felt like they were the only two people in the world. It felt like sparks flying between them. Neither of them wanted the kiss to stop, for it seemed so passionate in the moment. It felt to both of them as if the whole world had stopped turning. They didn't want that moment to end at the time.

Eventually they both leaned out at the same time and gave each other a small but quick chuckle to break any tension that they thought might be there. Then Barry leaned back, on the bench with his arm still around Caitlin and they both just sat there in the moonlight.

Feedback is always appreciated. Thanks all! (:
