Okay, well, that was awkward. I don't know how Tad Strange got into my account, but I changed my password so that shouldn't happen again...
Some Mabel and Ford fluff, and then I ruin it all. Also see if you can spot the Hamilton: The Musical reference in Ford's dialogue.
This chapter is twice the size, so… enjoy! This is the last chapter!
Parallel Stanford was rapidly flipping through the pages in his journal, searching for a reversal spell. He finally found it, and turned on the lamp, grabbing the necessary ingredients while Blendin assisted him. He glanced up over his glasses to see that Mabel was still standing there like a little child not knowing what to do.
"This may take a while, most likely overnight. You should get some sleep." He pointed to the couch in the corner.
Mabel didn't budge, shaking her head no vigorously.
"Look, it's alright. If you're worried about Bill, there's no way he'll know you're here. We have a unicorn barrier set up, which you probably already know about since you're from an alternate dimension."
"It's not that."
"Hm?"
"It's just… what if it doesn't work? What if we can't save Dipper? And what am I going to do about the equation when I get back?!" she sobbed, tears streaming down her face. Ford frowned at the sight of his niece - well, she was technically his niece, but at the same time not - crying, and it made him a bit gloomy as well. Then an idea popped into his head. He scribbled down a few numbers and whatnot on a blank piece of paper with red ink, and handed it to Mabel.
"I'll tell you what. Give Bill this when you get back. He'll think it's the equation."
She slowly took the paper, but frowned. "He'll probably kill me when he finds out it's wrong…"
"If he does kill you, then at least the rest of the world will be fine. Any Ford I know wouldn't dare to give Bill the real equation. You're the only card he has left, other than Dipper, but he obviously has other plans for him." he said. "Think about it. If you give him this fake equation, you're dying like a martyr. You're saving your family, and Shermie, and your mom and dad. You're saving what's left of the rest of the world, Mabel Pines."
Those words sparked hope in her heart, and she thought she would never feel herself smile ever again. "Thanks, Parallel Grunkle Ford!" she said, tackling him in a hug. She heard his hearty chuckle before she went over to the couch and snuggled up in the blankets.
"Goodnight!"
"Goodnight, Mabel."
When her eyes opened, she found herself on a very comfy bed, covered in blankets with stuffed animals surrounding her, the curtains open and letting in the sounds of a familiar 80's tune… Wait a minute…
She was back in Mabeland. Which means Bill must've somehow… Oh, God no… No! No, no, no! She ran down the hallways and the stairs, ignoring and pushing aside the waffle guards until she reached an exit. She ran outside, not caring about Xyler and Craz greeting her. She ran, and kept on running, and running, and running, all the bright colors whirling around and past her. It told her to slow down, the color was too much for her. It didn't remind her of the peaceful wispy clouds of the Axolotl, it reminded her of here, and where she was, and this stupid prison that she was in. It reminded her of all the memories of Gravity Falls, of her brother, of Bill and Weirdmageddon. She wanted to be there in reality, no matter how horrible the real world was!
Like blinding visions...
"Mabel!"
She didn't want to be the same glitter-loving, sticker-addicted Mabel Pines anymore. Names are just a title after all.
Like blinding visions...
"Mabel!"
Because it was true.
Reality is an illusion.
Like blinding visions...
"Mabel!"
At that moment, she realized she was in a dream, and it went black. She snapped awake, gasping.
"Mabel! Wake up!"
It was 6:27 am.
"Huh?Whathappened?Is-"
"Calm down, calm down." Ford said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah… just a dream… that's all…" she said, trying to catch her breath.
Keep telling yourself that, Shooting Star.
She looked around the room, wondering where that came from. Was it just her mind playing tricks on her or… ?
"We finished preparing the materials." He handed her a tiny glass jar of fairy dust, a handful of moonstones, a bag of grind up mushrooms, and a small piece of paper with a latin chant on it and instructions. "If this doesn't work, then Weirdmageddon is worse than I thought."
"Thank you for your help."
"No problem. Anything to help my family and Gravity Falls."
"Well, are you ready to go, Mabel?" asked Blendin.
"Nope. Let's go."
And they were off.
They appeared back where they had originally disappeared from hours ago. She felt energized and ready since she'd gotten a good night's rest - despite her nightmare - and was ready to kick Bill Cipher's ass and turn her family and friends back to actual people. That was, until she heard his voice from behind her and Blendin.
"Where have you been, Shooting Star?"
"U- uh, I was out- outside, j-just-"
"That's a lie. Where were you with Blendin?"
She just froze, not being able to speak or do anything.
"What the hell is going on here?"
She turned to see Dipper. Oh, she hated to do this, but…
She advanced toward her brother, then broke into a run and tackled him. "Hey! Get off of me! What are you-" She punched him in the face, forcing him to look at her.
That was when his eyes fully locked on her, and all his memories came flooding back.
"I invited everybody in my class!" exclaimed 9 year-old Mabel. Just then, the doorbell rang. "That must be them!"
But when she opened the door, she was greeted by nothing, but only a small crappy card that said, You two are losers! written on it, with signatures from all the students. She started crying.
"Mabel, what's wrong?" Dipper asked. She handed him the card, and he immediately rushed upstairs to retrieve something as soon as he realized her sadness. When he came back, he handed her a small pink envelope.
"What's this?"
"Open it."
So she did, and she was greeted with a birthday card that said...
I believe in you and unicorns.
But especially you.
Happy Birthday, Mabel!
"Hey, Mabel?" Dipper asked as he looked in the freezer.
"Huh?" she asked, sitting at the table doodling with her glitter pens.
"Where's my science project?"
"Uh… what science project?"
"I was doing an experiment with ice cubes to see if hot or cold water would freeze faster. Did you use them?"
"I may have used them in the raspberry lemonade I made earlier… ?" she responded, laughing awkwardly.
"Oh no! It's due on Tuesday! We don't have enough time!" he said, tugging at the ends of his hair as he paced around the room, thinking what would happen and what he was supposed to tell the teacher.
"Hey, bro-bro," Mabel said comfortingly. "It'll be okay!" She grabbed her project, which looked more like a sculpture made out of balloons taped together or something - he couldn't tell what it was - and she grabbed a pushpin and completely destroyed whatever she was working on. "Now we can fail together!"
His smile brightened. "You're the best, Mabel."
"Dipper! Dipper! Wake up, we're here! It's Gravity Falls!"
"Huh? Wait, really?"
"Arriving at Gravity Falls, Oregon." the bus driver announced over the intercom as the bus came to a halt.
They grabbed their backpacks and walked down the aisle, stepping down the stairs onto the gravel and dirt pathway.
"Well, today's our first day in Gravity Falls, I guess." Dipper said.
"Ready to head into the unknown?" his sister asked.
"Nope." he said, smiling. "Let's do it."
"Wait… Mabel? What's going on here? Hold on, is Weirdmageddon still going on?" he said, looking around in confusion. He had so many questions.
Bill stood there in complete shock, and Mabel used it to her advantage, pushing him aside out of the way - which would probably piss him off, but she had no option - and running down the hallway as fast as her legs could carry her.
"Shooting Star, you just made the wrong choice!"
It didn't take long to make it into the room since her adrenaline was running through her system, and she did as Ford had told her on the paper.
10 pinches of fairy dust.
1 moonstone below each tapestry from where it hangs.
3 pinches of mushroom.
Chant "Resersae illuminate, carnis in sanguine ut auferam rubii!"
Please work, please work! She begged in her mind, and slowly but surely her friends and family were back to normal.
(A/N: This is a shitty and corny ending, I know, but it's the best I could come up with. I'm sorry, I really am.)
"Mabel-dog? What happened, dude?" asked Soos.
"We don't have any time for explaining! Set up the zodiac! Robbie, please tell me you have another can of spray paint!"
He grabbed it out the back pocket of his jeans and tossed it to her. "Fine, but only because this is going to prevent us from dying." Mabel handed it to Ford, who started to spray it on the floor again, and everything was going according to plan until-
"Trying to stop me again, Shooting Star?"
She was filled with dread and anxiety, until she saw her brother run in.
"Bill, stop!" yelled Dipper from behind him. He was holding up a certain piece of paper, and it took all of her willpower to not smirk at Bill. "Don't kill them, I have the equation! World domination is better than killing my friends, right?" he said, chuckling nervously as he slowly stepped closer to him.
Bill's hand was already lit up. "So you're going to give me the equation in exchange for your friends and family's safety?"
Dipper nodded.
"Well, what are you waiting for?"
He made the move to hand it to him, but at the last second, tossed it across the room, and somehow managed to back-flip over Bill's head and run over to where everyone was holding hands. The blue light began to shine, and gray clouds started to form outside.
Like blinding visions...
"You won't get away with this, Pines family!"
Dipper closed his eyes, and focused all of his power and energy into the zodiac as the white light surrounding them began to grow to the point where it was all they could see besides Bill. But he was going to have the last word.
Like blinding visions...
"We already have, Bill Cipher."
As those five words exited out of his mouth, they all fell into unconsciousness.
His eyelids slowly fluttered open, his vision blurry. His peripheral showed a blur of green, brown, and other similar colors.
Like blinding visions...
Where was he? What happened?
"Dipper, are you okay?"
Then it all came back to him.
The Fearamid. The zodiac. Bill.
"Mabel? Is that you?" he lifted his hands to rub his eyes, but it had no effect. He was going to have to let it focus on it's own. It was probably from how hard he was concentrating on the Cipher Wheel.
"Yeah. How'd you back-flip over him like that?"
"When you have an isosceles nacho running the world, and he doesn't like the laws of physics, it's pretty easy to defy them." he said.
He felt Mabel laugh and wrap his arms around him in a hug. He returned it and blinked a few times, his vision adjusting slightly so he was able to see Mabel's face.
"Happy 13th birthday, bro-bro. We're technically-teenagers now."
He laughed, and gave her a fist bump.
"Happy birthday, Mabel."
The End.
aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
Sorry, that was the sound of me crying, groaning and screaming at the same time…
It was sooooo sad but exciting at the same time to write this ending, and honestly I'm going to miss writing it. The memories that Dip had were some of Eleron's ideas, and two of them were actually based off of my own experiences. The words of Mabel's birthday card are an actual card I received from my Aunt over a year ago (I used to be obsessed with unicorns until I watched the Last Mabelcorn), and Dipper's science project was actually something I did in my 5th grade science fair. Anybody else have a science fair in school?
Meh anyways, this is goodbye to this story. I'm not going to lie, i'm going to miss Bill too…
._.
Welp, bye! It's not like I don't have homework to do… and tests… and more stuff to write…
