I do not own Re:Zero or any of its characters.
Home. It's the place where you always feel safe. The place you want to go to when you don't feel well. The place where you can just be yourself.
It had been nearly a year since the Witches of Sin managed to buy their Mansion for an extremely cheap price, and as such, they finally decided to call this place 'Home'.
The reason for the cheap price being the Mansion was thought to be haunted by ghosts, and turns out it actually was, but any ghosts left as soon as the Witches got there. Echidna suggested that it may have been the miasma of the Witches.
Echidna had sold her old house for to help pay for the Mansion, since the large residence would certainly help her preform several experiments. The others were doing their best to adjust.
Subaru was really the only Sin with a job. Being a Sage Candidate, he managed to become Lugunica's Great Sage in quite a short time frame. He often worked alongside Volcanica and Reid Astrea, who were the Kingdom's Great Dragon and recently named Sword Saint.
Subaru's status as the Warlock of Envy was something only the Royal Family, Reid, and Volcanica knew about outside of the Witches and Satella. If the Council found out that Subaru was the Warlock of Envy, it would certainly complicate things.
Satella was also able to get a job as a Healer, one of the best in the Kingdom, but the Witches were a different story.
Typhon was still a child and was still years away from working age. Daphne was all about Survival and had no interest in a job, and she wasn't of working age either.
Carmilla's Authority made it difficult for her to be around anyone that's not the one of the other Sins, Volcanica, or Reid. Not even powerful Magic users like Satella or Roswaal were immune to her Authority. Minerva would love to be healer, but she was far too impatient, and it would only end up in a Disaster occurring. Echidna was only really interested in obtaining Knowledge, and Sekhmet...
Sekhmet was never gonna work in a Billion years...
Speaking of the Slothful Witch.
Sekhmet was resting, as always. She was the Laziest person in the world, and in the words of the Warlock of Envy, "She could give Patrick Star a run for his money".
The Witch of Sloth was currently in their 'Movie Room', waiting for the others to arrive. There were plenty of chairs, 2 couches, and multiple Bean bags for them, and also an open Window for a certain Great Dragon to watch.
By some miracle, Sekhmet managed to wake up from her nap when she heard voices nearby. It was... Subaru and Daphne, and they were approaching.
"So Subarun, when can we watch more Anime tonight? We still have to finish watching Attack on Titan Season 3!" Daphne asked, eager to finish the show.
Attack on Titan?... Oh right... the show with the giant naked Men... and people who use grappling hooks and swords to fight them...
"We will when Beako and the others get back from whatever job Echidna made them do. After that, then we can watch Attack on Titan." Subaru said, who tried to calm the Witch of Gluttony.
The concept of Anime had interested the Witches. Reid and Volcanica also came over for Anime night every week, and it had amazed them that people without Magic had accomplished the ability to make moving stories. Of course, this little 'event' was only possible because for Subaru's Authority of Envy. Using his Portals, Subaru was able to bring a TV and some DVDs to this world and use Mana to power it, with some help from Echidna.
Attack on Titan was the Show they were currently watching, and the concept and setting had interested them. Although Typhon was not allowed to watch, due to her still being a child, and often went to bed when they started their marathons.
Echidna had been writing down every piece of information regarding the Titans and Titan Shifters.
Daphne was actually offended by the Pure Titan's very existence, not because they ate Humans, but rather because they didn't need to eat Humans and only relied on Sunlight for energy. Not only that, but the fact that Titans disentagrated when they die makes them even more infuriating to her, especially to due how large they are and their capacity to regenerate, meaning that you can't even eat them after they die.
Minerva was a little twitchy since watching the Show, not only because of how many people have already died, but also because the Titan Shifters were required to draw blood in order to transform into their Titans, but since they could Regenerate, she wasn't too bothered.
The other were indifferent to the show, but Satella in particular often acted scared in order to snuggle with Subaru, who gladly pulled her in.
Right now, they were currently on Season 3 part 2, and were about to discover the truth about the World of Attack on Titan...
Subaru and Daphne walked into the Movie room, unaware of Sekhmet's presences.
"Well they better get here soon! I want to watch the battle of... uhhh... Shishina?" Daphne often forgot the names of the districts.
"Shiganshina." Subaru corrected.
"Right, that. Well, if there is one thing that this Anime has given me, it's more ideas for Mabeasts!" Daphne stated, only to be pulled on the ear by Subaru.
"Absolutely not! You are not making any Titans! The Titans of the Monsterverse were one thing, but AoT Titans are off limits!" Subaru was not going to allow any Pure Titans to roam Lugunica, and he would kill any he saw.
"Oh please, I hate those things! Why would I wanted to make them? I'm just saying that they've given me ideas for future Mabeasts." Daphne clarified.
A sigh came from the Warlock of Envy. Good, the last thing he needed was Pure Titans roaming the land eating anyone in sight.
"Haaaaa... Are you two... haaaa... quite done?..." Sekhmet spoke up, annoyed that her nap was interrupted.
Subaru and Daphne looked over to see that Sekhmet was already here before they were.
"Wow, Sekhmet being the first one here. Never thought I'd see the day." Subaru said in a surprised manner.
"Haaaa... I've been here all day..." The Witch of Sloth clarified.
"Well, I hope your ready for nearly 4 hours of Titan fighting, cause that's all it's gonna be tonight!" Daphne said in excitement.
A sigh escaped from the lips of the Slothful Witch. This was her home, and however chaotic it could be, Sekhmet wouldn't change a thing. Even if she had the motivation to.
