Charlie Weasley x Female! Reader
There was a time when (Y/n) thought she was good friends with Charlie Weasley, but maybe she had been wrong, either that or she had done something. Even now, as healer at St. Mungos hospital, her mind still wandered back to the day she found out he left and she couldn't help but feel the anguish and despair riffle her body as she dressed a new bed for a patient.
Flashback
It had been the start of a new at Hogwarts for (Y/n) and she had been very cheerful that morning, she and Charlie had planned to do some homework and spend some time together since the two were in opposite houses and had their own work and things to do. However, (Y/n) was struggling on an essay to do with dragons and she knew Charlie was the man for the job. At breakfast, she scoured the Gryffindor table for her Weasley friend but the only Weasley she could see was Bill and he seemed to avoiding all eye contact with her. Throughout the day, the young witch had kept an eye out for Charlie but had no luck.
She fidgeted uncomfortably in her seat at the Hufflepuff table at dinner time, once again trying to look for her friend. This was very unusual of Charlie. When the last person came in for dinner, she quickly stood up and told her friends she'd be back. She made her way to the Gryffindor table, more specifically towards Bill. When she got there she hesitated.
"Uhh, hey Bill," the eldest Weasley turned to the young witch and smiled.
"Hello there, (Y/n), how are you?"
"I'm good, look. Real quick but have you seen Charlie? I haven't seen him all day. Is he sick?" Bill's face changed into one of surprise.
"Wait, he didn't tell you?"
"Tell me what?" When Bill realised that she genuinely didn't know, he felt irritation for his brother and pity for the young girl.
"He's gone to Romania to work with dragons," (Y/n) wasn't expecting that. She knew of the Weasley boy's dream to become a dragonoligist and she was happy that he was fulfilling it but she couldn't help but feel hurt too. Why didn't he tell her? They were friends right? Bill noticed (Y/n)'s face drop at the realisation of what his brother had done.
"Oh. I see," the (Y/h/c) stated shortly.
"Would you like me to write to him a-,"
"No it's okay, no matter," with that (Y/n) walked away, quickly thanking him too. For Merlin's sake, why did he do that? How unfair... "Stupid Weasley, I don't need him anyway," is what the witch told herself before trying to find something to do to ignore the pain in her aching heart.
Present
Over the year's (Y/n) found a love for healing and helping people out and she ventured on in that career. She had saved many patients in the past few years and was a respected nurse of St. Mungos hospital. The young nurse's nurse's mind would often drift to the handsome Weasley boy she once knew and although still angry with him, still hoped to see the troublesome boy again. (Y/n)'s thoughts were interrupted by a pained moan, a new patient. She turned to see if her fellow nurses and doctors needed a hand but the poor guy seemed to have many people there to help him and so she went back to working on the bed sheets.
(Y/n) had the late shift that night and was one of the few nurses who stayed overnight to monitor the patients. Later that night, she walked between the rows of beds when she heard someone call to her softly as not to wake the other patients.
"Excuse me nurse, could I get something to help with the pain," the voice sounded familiar but she focused on get to the man and relieving him of his pain. Whispering 'Lumos' she cast a small light on her wand so she could see what she was doing. The man chuckled. "I thought I recognised that (Y/h/c) hair. Hello, (Y/n). It's been a while," the young nurse quickly looked up in surprise and was met with brown eyes and a smile, but as soon as she realised who the person was, her demeanour changed completely. How ironic was it that the boy she had been thinking about just a few hours ago turned up in the hospital she worked at. She stayed quiet and busied herself with fixing some painkillers up for him. The gingers smile faltered at her blissful ignorance. He eyed her worriedly, not understanding why she was being so quiet. Did she not recognise him? "(Y/n)? Do you not remember me? It's me, Charlie Weasley,"
"I know who you are," the young woman replied dryly, before finishing up. "Rest now," with that she left, leaving Charlie with a soft confused frown setting on his features as she walked away. She remembered him but why was she being so rude, it was unlike her... although people can change he supposed. Either way, he was determined to find out what he had done to deserve the cold shoulder. He wanted their friendship back, especially after not seeing her for so many years. He remembered their days at Hogwarts together, they had been close and he knew for sure he had liked her as more than friends. Charlie set himself a goal that he must reach by the time he left St. Mungo's;
'Befriend (Y/n) (Y/l/n)'

When Charlie awoke, the first thing he did was look around for his (Y/h/c) haired nurse and much to his dismay he didn't see her once. As a nurse approached him to give him his painkillers he popped her a question.
"When will Nurse (Y/n) be back?" The plump nurse looked at him, surprised by his query.
"She'll be here tomorrow morning, lovey,"
"Oh. Okay, thank you,"

Charlie was very antsy about the next morning, he was up early and kept his eyes in the door, waiting for his friend to appear. When she finally did come, he noticed her glance briefly at him before quickly diverting them somewhere else. Her actions and attitude were that of an anxious person and he could also tell because she had been the same way when they had been at Hogwarts. He watched her intently the whole morning, not really caring if he made her uncomfortable. That was his goal, so that she would come and tell him off and then he could speak to her properly. He could tell it was working from the way her (Y/e/c) eyes would dash to him and then away, a small irritated frown etching her features.
It wasn't long before she came over to check up on him and she was very blunt when speaking to him. "How's your pain today?"
"Not as bad now that you're here," he grinned toward her, and she couldn't help but notice how her cheeks heated up and her heart skipped a beat. Her look of shock left as quickly as it came and Charlie definitely saw. It was like she didn't want to show him any kind of emotion "Why are you being a stranger (Y/n/n)?" The Weasley asked softly as his smile dropped. He didn't like how distant she was being, he was sure she was upset with him. Hearing his change of tone, the young woman's (Y/e/c) slowly moved to look at him. She almost felt guilty for being harsh but she was stubborn. As she went to walk away, a larger hand quickly grabbed ahold of hers, preventing her from leaving. "Please talk to me, it's been so long. We were such good friends,"
"Yes. The clue is that the 'good friends' is in past tense. Now we are just Nurse and Patient," The hurt that Charlie felt was indescribable and he frowned.
"Look, I don't know what I did to upset you, but the decent thing you could do is tell me and maybe I can make it better," this seemed to set a fire in the (Y/h/c) as she whipped round.
"You!" She caught herself, reminding herself she was in a hospital and lowered her voice. "You left me. You left and didn't even bother to say goodbye to me. Do you know how much that hurt? Waking up only hear that you left for bloody Romania! Why didn't you tell me? It was so hard to get over... it and you waltz in here like nothing happened," Charlie blinked owlishly as he tried to take in everything he said before a look of realisation crossed his features. It quickly changed to panic as he saw the woman he still loved walking away.
"(Y/n)! Wait!" In a surge of annoyance at her behaviour, he risked standing up and limped after her. When she realised what he was doing, she quickly went to him before he could damage himself further. She carefully held him up as a concerned frown formed on her face.
"What in Helga's name are you doing! Get back to right now!"
"Then hear me out and stop running from me!" The Weasley argued back. (Y/n) was shocked by his sudden stern voice but helped him back to bed and tucked him in. "The reason why I didn't tell you was because it was all last minute. I wanted to say goodbye to you, of course I did, but they wouldn't let me and I was late enough as it was. You really think I wouldn't say goodbye to the very girl I love?" The Weasley watched as the young woman dropped her face into her hands. It was all a misunderstanding and he loved her... he loved her?! Her head shot up to stare wide eyed at him as her cheeks grew hot again.
"You loved me?"
"I still do, I hope the feeling was and is mutual," he said, although the statement sounded more like a question.
"O-oh... well yes but-"
"We don't have to rush into anything, we have a lot of catching up to do," (Y/n) could only smile sheepishly at the young man who grinned at her.
"You're blushing, Miss. (Y/n/n),"
"Oh hush, Charles," she immediately received a whine.
"Aww (Y/n), please don't call me that," the young Nurse chuckled before standing up but she didn't leave before giving him a sweet kiss on his ginger locks.
"Rest now, we'll talk tomorrow,"
