When Rivka got to the lab with Mac she rushed down to trace with him and looked at the results they pulled. "There is a propellant on the wire. But I can't confirm if it's from a bomb or not. We need to know what Aswari was here for," Mac informed casually.

"We won't get that for at least 24 more hours," Rivka warned Mac and he looked at her. "Russ will work as fast as he can but it depends on the other governments too. Meanwhile we're running on a timebomb here. No pun intended," she responded.

"Pun found," Danny answered and she nodded. "What did Russ reveal to you that we can use?"

"MOSSAD. A rogue agent. Aswari was meeting to testify about said rogue agent," she listed and Mac looked at her. "That's all he was allowed to disclose. I asked for the name of the agent but because this is a MOSSAD investigation," she continued.

"It requires MOSSAD and Israeli Government authorization," Mac answered. She nodded and he sighed. "Which means that when the agent is revealed we may need your knowledge of Hebrew to help us out. They'll probably speak Hebrew only."

"We need to know where to look," Jo responded thoughtfully.

"We need to focus on Aswari's wounds and what we do have," Rivka answered yawning. Mac and Jo both had to look at her shocked. "What? I'm running on exponentially low amounts of caffeine compared to normal," she responded.

"Clearly," Mac chuckled and she glared before he handed her an iced coffee. "I picked it up on the way in," he explained as she took a sip. "So with what we do have, we know someone wants him dead and it's more than likely the MOSSAD agent that went rogue. Is that all we have?"

"Yeah the print has no hits in CODIS or AFIS meaning it's not in the United States System at all or even our prison system. We're dealing with someone who knew they weren't in the system here and knows how to commit murder. So wherever they are from, they've done this stuff before. Going off the MOSSAD agent, it would make sense. They'd have a clean up crew."

"So how do we catch the person if they aren't in the system?" Lindsay knew they would need evidence to link them and without something linking them to the scene there was nothing they could do to capture them in the area.

"We wait for Russ," Jo answered looking at her. "He'll have the answers for us soon enough and that includes the name of our mysterious agent," Jo answered and then looked at Rivka. "Now you're going home and going to bed."

"Not like I have a choice. I have an early shift tomorrow which means I need some sleep," she responded before hanging her coat in the sanitation chamber again. "If Russ contacts you about this mysterious agent again let me know."

"You'll be on the call list," Mac promised as he grabbed his coat. "I'll give you a ride back to your place," he assured. She shook her head as she got to the door and walked down into the subway station. She knew she was fine on her own. She made it before and just because Mac was offering to help, didn't mean she'd take it.

When she got back to her apartment, she saw there was a voicemail left behind for her. "Oh this should be good," she muttered. She knew her parents called every Thursday before they went to bed and she had been called in for work at the last possible second. She grabbed a water bottle and cracked it open before hitting play.

"Oi. When do you think you are going to answer the phone? We try for hours to contact you. We know you're coming to dinner tomorrow but that does not give you the right to ignore us the night before. See this is why you have no friends. You can't communicate even with us so why would people try with you-," her mother began before Rivka hit delete. She didn't need to listen to the whole thing to know her parents weren't happy with her. But she was growing used to it.

By morning, Rivka had managed a couple hours of rest but she didn't waste time. She grabbed her coffee mug and made a quick cup of coffee before changing and getting ready for work and heading in. Most mornings she waited around for Hawkes but she was busy on that case in her own mind. As she arrived in the lab, she saw Mac was there already. "You do know I'm not the one who needs the most sleep around here right?" He glanced at her and she chuckled.

"You look like you got maybe 2 hours," he commented.

"2 and a half," she admitted. He looked at her shocked and she revealed her thermos and snickered. "I'm going to be running off caffeine today and then dinner. By the way does everyone have their clothes here? We won't have time to stop at homes."

"We all have our clothes," Mac promised looking at her. She nodded at him and then went down to the lab and began looking at that fiber again and frowning. Mac and Jo joined her after an hour and noticed she moved from the fiber to the victim's clothes. "What's got you fascinated about the clothes?"

"I thought of something. If there was a piece of a bomb on our vic's body aka in the wound, what if the clothes have traces as well," she responded. Jo looked at her shocked and grabbed a pair of goggles with Mac and as they watched her trace over the clothes and pause, they noted it too. "Another hair. Different color than the vic's, maybe this wasn't a one person job," she answered and Mac nodded taking the hair in a bag that he held out for it and as she grabbed a spray once she checked over the rest of the shirt, they watched as a reaction was given off. "GSR?"

"That would mean Mr Bayar had a gun," Stella responded looking at her. "Did you find one anywhere?"

"Nowhere in the building and nowhere near Mr Bayar," she responded looking at Stella. Mac and Jo looked at each other concerned knowing it wasn't a good sign if the gun was missing. "We need to get a match on one of those bullets."

"Already have Lindsay running the bullet Hawkes retrieved from the victim through IBIS," Mac responded looking at her.

"Which we have a hit for. One on an Abdul Bayar," Lindsay began before seeing Sid walk in. "Do we have a confirmed ID from prints that the man is Aswari Bayar?"

"We have confirmation on the prints that the man down in autopsy is Abdul Bayar and his name was changed to Aswari Bayar," Sid informed and Rivka stood up, took off her lab coat and walked away. "What's with her? She's never gotten up so quickly and left the room at the mention of someone found in the system."

"I'm on it," Mac answered looking at her and following Rivka. "Want to tell me what the hell this is about? You never run out like that."

"I'm pulling myself from the case before it's jeopardized," she informed. Mac looked at her and she sighed pulling out a picture of Abdul Bayar and handing it to him. "Abdul Bayar is my older brother. The one I was told was dead while I was a baby. I didn't know he was still alive."

"Well you're already in the middle of it," Jo answered looking at her. "Just don't run evidence. We will still need a Hebrew translator," she informed looking at her. "Mac and I can easily put in the report that while you were unaware you processed everything according to textbook. Once you became aware of Aswari Bayar's true identity you stepped away from the case to prevent any issues and were only responsible for translating anything in Hebrew."

"She's right. We will be able to keep everything we've done so far," Mac answered before seeing the time. "Look let's not focus on that right now. I'll get the others. You go get changed. We need to get moving," he answered and she nodded knowing what was being referred to.

Jo and Rivka were almost done getting changed before they saw Ellie walking in with a navy blue blouse and black dress pants on. "You look beautiful Ellie," Rivka greeted as she was fixing her hair and then grabbed her headband and carefully secured it. "Alright let's go," she responded. Mac looked at Rivka as he saw she was going in a burgundy turtleneck dress.

"Where's the girl we know?"

"Hiding for the next," she began checking her watch. "4 hours. Whatever you do whenever my mother asks if you want to see something say no," she advised.

"Why?"

"She'll use that as an advantage point against me," she answered dryly.

Mac drove the one Avalanche to the Bayar home while Stella drove the other and as everyone got out, Rivka smiled and walked up knocking on her parents door and seeing it open. "If it isn't the family disappointment," the male greeted.

"Uncle Maha," she greeted formally before turning to her team. "Meet the people I work with. I believe mother informed you they were coming?" Mac looked at her confused and as her uncle walked inside she motioned for them to follow but not before Mac, Christine and Jo stopped her. "What?"

"Really? Is this what they call you?" Jo's direct nature was not something to be avoided and Rivka bit her lip at that. "Don't go defending them on me. You know not to lie to me of all people," she warned her looking at her. "I decide when you're on call," she reminded.

"Yes. It's my nickname in the family," Rivka confessed. Mac looked at her and she made a zip motion. "Not a word. We can discuss this tomorrow," she warned walking inside and Mac looked at the girl's retreating form shocked.

"That's not right."

"Might explain her desire for no rules being broken at work," Mac confessed. As they walked in they saw the whole family waiting for them. "Whoa. Big family," he teased Rivka and she chuckled at that before walking over to them.

"Whatever you do, keep my work attitude out of conversation. Warned Danny and Flack already," she muttered and he nodded knowing what she was getting at now. As they were introduced to everyone, Mac noted slightly how Rivka's movements were stiffer than normal.

At dinner, Ellie looked to Rivka confused and she followed Ellie's glance to the food and smiled sadly. "Ellie," Jo whispered and she nodded knowing the unspoken message that was being sent. Even if they didn't like it they'd shovel it into their mouths.

As everyone was finishing, Mac noted that they finally were going to get to hear a bit about Rivka away from work. "So Rivka?" Rivka glanced up at her aunt and smiled softly to her. "Have you made any plans for marriage yet?" Almost the entire CSI team choked on their food as the question was asked and Rivka grabbed a glass of water and took a sip.

"No. Not looking," she responded casually and patted Mac's back slightly harder knowing what was in his mouth. "You good boss?"

"Fine," he rasped out after finally getting the food down his system. "Just didn't expect that question."

"I'm not looking. You know because I'm dealing with the whole cases taking up my life thing," she responded casually and Jo looked at her confused and then saw the pointed glance knowing it was a distraction from the topic.

After a few more hours, Rivka got an idea and stood up grabbing a picture of her and her brother. "Hey mom, I was looking around the apartment and noted that I don't have many pictures of Abdul. Could I maybe take a few?"

"Why would you want a picture of him? He's nowhere near a man. Went and died." Mac was about to say something before Rivka walked by and stomped hard on his foot and she glared at him. He knew she was trying to hold her own temper in.

"He died serving the Marine Corp. I'd say that's an honorable way to go," she answered. Mac looked at her and she smiled softly at him and he knew why. She had been told by him that he was in the Marine Corp and retired. So she was in her own way saying she understood the honor.

"Well regardless he should have died. Leaving us the moment we arrive in America," her father answered.

A few more hours passed before they finally all were able to leave and as the team was walking down the street to the Avalanches, Sid looked at her. "I never knew your family was so critical on you and your brother," he began.

"It's in their nature," she sighed as she fixed her hair. She shook her head a few times and finally all the bobby pins came loose and she grabbed them all and slipped them into a Ziploc bag. "They don't agree that Abdul served the Marines, they don't agree that I'm a CSI/Police Officer," she listed smiling with a little mirth in her eyes. "We didn't care though. We were in America. Land of the free. But there was a reason I asked about Abdul."

"Was there?" Mac hadn't even analyzed why she asked about getting more pictures. She turned and looked at him while walking backwards. "I didn't think of a reason for you to ask. Thought you were being genuine." She shook her head before chuckling.

"You're a CSI. Figure it out. Why would I bring up Abdul?" Mac looked confused and then looked to Christine. "Mac think. I literally laid the answer in front of you before dinner."

"Boom," Danny and Flack responded and she glanced at them smirking. "Motive."

"Wow. They're faster than you tonight."

"Motive? Your parents?"

"Were you not listening? He should have died."

"That doesn't mean anything," Ellie began and then Jo and Mac realized and looked at her. "What?"

"The sentence almost implicated that they knew Abdul didn't die with the Marine Corps," Jo explained and Rivka nodded at her. 'So you wanted to see what they knew about Abdul without tipping them off and without putting the investigation in danger."

"Yeah. I'm not on that case except for translations. Should my bosses of the NYPD Crime Lab just so happen to overhear details that may pertain to an investigation with Abdul Bayar," she trailed thoughtfully and Mac chuckled darkly.

"People do not give you enough credit," he decided looking at her as the others all climbed into the Avalanche. "Thanks," he responded patting her arm.

"We're even."

When Mac and Christine dropped almost everyone sans Rivka off, they all noted the same thing as they arrived at her apartment building. "Rivka? Did you leave lights on? Because no offence I don't often see light coming in from your apartment." Hawkes glanced as he arrived back too and took out his gun at the same time as Rivka. Mac grabbed his too and looked to Christine. "Stay in the car and lock the doors," he advised her. As they rushed up the stairs and over to her apartment, Mac noted the door was open and she nodded at him. Mac and Hawkes went inside and after clearing the room nodded to Rivka. "Clear," he promised.

Walking in, she was about to check before she saw something. "They knew who I was and exactly what they wanted. But I was smart and hid it away," she explained before watching as Hawkes grabbed his cellphone and began taking pictures. "Do we really need to process the scene?"

"Yes," he and Mac answered deadpanned.

"It was a break and enter. Not the first and not the last," she answered before covering her mouth as Mac looked at her.

"How many break and enters have happened to your place?"

"Many," she admitted looking at him as she knew she couldn't and wouldn't lie to Mac. He and Jo looked out for her in the lab and really didn't tolerate a single lie from her mouth and could point it out a mile away even when she was good at a lie.

"Go call Don," Hawkes instructed and she glared at him. "Trust me. I know you just want to go to bed but we need to process the place," he informed and she sighed grabbing her phone. "You are too naive for your own good."

"You sound protective of her."

"We have each other's backs," Hawkes dismissed to Mac.
