Flariex- sorry about the grammar, there is still a lot of things I need to improve on when it comes to my writing and grammar is one of them. I will for sure start re-reading and editing my writing more. Thanks for your advice!
Sweet Cari- The only Digimon's that are going to get along with each other is Salamon and Tsukaimon because they are kinda supposed to be best friends in their own way but also because of their future evolutions since they kind of match, like Angewomon and Angemon but evil. Other than them, yeah, they don't really like each other all that much.
Guest- wow, that is a really good assumption lol
Once Matt knew it was safe, he slowed down his pace and allowed TK and Kari to relax. He was dragging them along, forcing their little bodies to be up to speed with his bigger more athletic one. They quickly lost their breath and began to pant heavily. Mimi gave up long ago, as she was already far behind them whining about how much her feet hurt to Aruraumon.
"Maaatttt!" TK whined to his brother, groaning in exhaustion."I'm hungry! And tired!"
"Same!" Kari nodded her head, agreeing to TK. She was still breathly heavily, and so was TK.
"Me too!" Turning around Matt saw Psychemon panting and sticking his tongue out. He was in a slouch position and his fur was sticking up and soaked by sweat.
Matt groaned. Psychemon too? It was bad enough that he had to deal with two eight-year-olds, but also with an annoying lizard-wolf?
"It's been like fifteen minutes!" He snapped making Psychemon and TK flinch and Kari frown. Tsukaimon blinked and Salamon whipped her around, still blinded and confused.
"Can we stop now?!" He heard Mimi whines from far behind them. Turning around to face her, he saw that she was already sitting against a tree trunk with Aruraumon beside her who has her roots buried in the dirt before he even responded
"Mimi, get up!" He ordered and she cracked one eye open, frowning.
"But I'm tired!" She complained stretching her arms. "And we've been walking foreve-"
"It's been twenty minutes!" He barked at her and she flinched by his sudden outburst. Matt didn't care all that much, it's not like he knows her, it's just some random girl. But that doesn't mean he can let die in the wilderness. If it was TK, then he probably would've felt differently.
Although he didn't see TK's reaction who showed fear, uncertainty, and worry. The boy had frowned and squeezed Tsukaimon for comfort.
Matt sighed and pinched the edge of his nose frustrated and full of rage. He just needed to calm down for a moment, to think. That's all. But that didn't help considering he has to deal with two small kids, this girl who never stops whining, a brat for a pig, an idiot for a dog, a brat for a plant, a crybaby for a wolf. But worst of all, he can't act normal around his little brother. He can't feel normal around him, it's just too awkward. As awkward around him as these other kids.
"Look," He started after calming down a bit. "Let's just wait until we get out of this forest,"
But that still didn't make Mimi any happier. She pouted determined to get her rest!
"But we don't even know our way out of here!" Mimi rebutted and Tsukaimon flew out of TK's arms.
"I'll check!" He beamed and flew up. He decided to sit on the highest branch of the highest tree, for a better view of course. Once he was settled and balanced, he narrowed his eyes to get a better look. He saw that the crowd of trees was spread out which left a small space of grass and a lake by it.
"Did you find anything Tsukaimon?" TK asked from down below and had his hands over his eyes to shield them from the sun.
"Uh-huh!" Tsukaimon nodded and hopped off, his wings spread out and he flapped them, guiding the kids towards the small beach.
"There's some sand and a lake not so far from here!" Tsukaimon giggled and Mimi gasped. She jumped onto her two feet in a matter of seconds startling Aruruamon.
"Lake?!" The girl beamed with joy and began to ran off. Finally, she could soak her sore feet into some nice cooling water!
With Mimi ahead of them, the rest started moving. TK, Kari, and Psychemon just walked, they were still tired from the running before. Aruraumon whipped her vines out of the ground quickly so she could join Mimi faster and Matt stood there for a second. Was this what would've gotten the others to start moving earlier?
By the time they got there, Mimi was already seen relaxing, her shoes and socks put aside and her pained feet dipped in the cool lake water. Aruraumon pushed everyone out of the way and ran to Mimi. She wrapped her vines around Mimi to give her a big hug and the girl squealed with delight from surprise.
Kari walked up towards the lake, tightening the hold she has around Salamon to keep her safe. Kneeling and dipping the tips of her fingers into the water, Kari smiled feeling the nice cool small waves flowing past her fingers.
"It's perfect!" Kari beamed and Salamon perked her head up confused. "What's perfect?"
"The water! It's cool enough for you can take a bath!" Salamon's ears shot up in the air, her eyes widening at the idea of getting her body soaked in the cold water, soap forced into her eyes, and her fur getting damp and uncomfortable.
Matt watched as Salamon begged and cried, even attempting to run away blind, just to get out of the bath. Like most dogs, she seems to deeply hate getting her fur wet. But Kari argues, she argues saying that she needs to get the ink out of her fur.
Psychemon cringes from the interaction. Matt assumes that it's because he shares the same fear for water, which might be because of the fur, but Matt doesn't even know if he's considered a mammal as well.
TK was right beside him, kneeling and tickling Tsukaimon who was on his back. Tsukaimon was laughing with teary eyes, squirming with discomfort. TK was laughing, and Matt smiled. Despite being stuck in this whole mess, TK was still happy and hopeful which made Matt happy himself.
TK looked up to his brother and he giggled. "Hey Matt, let's play!" TK grinned hoping to his feet and grasping his brother's hand. Before Matt could respond a loud rumbling noise came from TK stomach and he giggled with his cheeks flush red in embarrassment.
Matt scoffed and rolled his eyes. He took off his brother's hat and ruffled his hair. "I'll get us some food," Matt said, putting his hat back on his head. "You go play with Mimi or Kari."
"Kay! Let's go Tsukaimon!" Tsukaimon nodded and jumped off from the ground, flying in the air. TK laughed, running towards the lake with his arms spread out pretending he's an airplane.
Matt sighed and turned around, walking towards the forest behind the lake. It was probably the only place he could find food like some fruits, and he could have some time to himself. Just like when he was back home whenever his father is stuck at work, which is all the time.
When he was about ten steps into the forest, he realized the presence behind him, immediately recognizing it as Psychemon's.
"Leave me alone!" He spat, his good mood being replaced by a cold and irritated one. "I want to be alone!"
Psychemon yowled like the annoying wolf lizard thing he is. Matt tsked and Psychemon ran up to him, grasping his left arm. "But I can't!" He cried. "I don't want to be alone!"
"I don't care!" Matt seethed, irritated, mad, and frustrated. Psychemon flinched before lowering his head. Matt was practically fuming at this point, and suddenly Psychemon's body started trembling and Matt widened his eyes.
Psychemon was crying now, the poor little Digimon was crying, upset to be alone. Matt stood there a little dumbfounded but also feeling pretty bad. He didn't mean to make him cry, he was just expressing his...emotions? Well, not exactly that, but he still didn't want to make someone cry.
"Hey..." Matt comforted the Digimon, or at least he tried to. He doesn't know what to do in these situations, never did. He always closed himself off from others, he didn't have many friends, probably never will.
"Why are you crying?" He inwardly groaned at himself and would hit his forehead from the stupidity of his question if he could. He's crying because he snapped at him. What else would it be?
'This can't be getting any more awkward!' Matt thought in his head, tired of everything already.
Psychemon sniffed and rubbed his teary eyes and tears stained fur with his paw. "I don't want to be all alone..." He sobbed quietly, sniffling more as more tears leak out from his eyes and onto his already tear-stained fur. Matt whined in his head, not daring to ever whine out loud.
'I can never get time alone can I?'
"F-fine, you can stay with me.." Psychemon perked his head up, his lips forming an unsure, yet happy, smile. "Really?" He asked with both disbelief and happiness. His smile became wider and he started cheering once his partner nodded.
They started to look for some food and walked deeper into the forest. While Psychemon was happily humming while skipping, Matt frowned, keeping it hidden from Psychemon.
He just wanted to be alone, was that so hard to ask?
"Which colour do you want?" Mimi asked, presenting the dozens of nail polishes she has taken out of her bag. "There is blue, pink, yellow, green, purple...you know, the usual!"
"Hmmh..." Aruraumon was thinking about this a little too intensely. She demanded silence from the two smallest kids and digimon's and had her vine-like finger stroking her chin, staring hard at the coloured nail polish. TK, Kari, Tsukaimon, and Salamon (whose fur was as puffy as a sheep wool thanks to her bath) were watching interested in her decision, TK with a bit of jealousy, and Mimi just smiled understanding the time she needs.
"Let's go yellow!" Aruraumon finally decided, after five long minutes, and Mimi beamed. "Awesome! It will look great with your green vines!"
Aruraumon blushed, feeling proud of choosing the right colour, a colour that Mimi agrees with. After the girl had painted the yellow nail polish on all of her fingers, Aruraumon gasped and stared at her vines with glitter in her eyes. Mimi looked over at Kari, picking up the pink nail polish.
"You want some?" Mimi asked Kari, and TK frowned staring at the green nail polish with desire and want. "Pink will look great on you!" Mimi sang but Kari shook her head.
"No thank you," Kari denied the offer, picking up the poofy furred Salamon, who squeaked in surprise. "Do you have a hair come?" Kari asked the beauty-loving girl, petting Salamon's puffy fur. "I need to brush Salamon's fur."
Mimi nodded and handed over the hair come laying in her bag. Kari happily took it and skipped away to find a nice spot so she could come the pup's fur back to normal. Before Mimi started painting her own nails, she noticed the small boy beside her staring at the green nail polish. She tilted her head and looked up at Tsukaimon who was sitting on TK's hat. He too feels confused at the boy's look of want.
"You want to try some on?" Mimi asked, breaking the boy's intense concentration on the green bottle of green nail polish. He looked at her like she was crazy, like she asked something forbidden, something that should have never been asked.
"W-what?" TK stuttered, taken aback by the question.
"Do you want to try some?" Mimi repeated, dangling the green nail polish between her fingers. "I could tell you want some, you've been staring at for the past ten minutes."
TK's eyes widened a bit, and he blushed facing away. He was twiddling with his fingers seeming a bit embarrassed. "I-uh, don't you think it's a little weird?"
Tsukaimon's ears twitched, and he pat TK's head. "Why would it be weird TK? Mimi and Aruraumon are wearing it!"
TK blushed more, playing with his fingers faster. His eyes were darting from one side to another looking for a way out of this. He squealed and shuttered once a memory of his dad's reaction the last time his interest in nail polish took over flashed in his head.
"I-I, well...I'm a boy and...boys can't wear nail polish..." The eight-year admitted bravely, his eyes and head lowering in sadness and despair. But then they snapped up once he heard Mimi laugh.
"Wh-what's so funny?!" He exclaimed embarrassed, and Mimi was gracefully laughing, her chuckles hiding behind her closed fist. Aruraumon and Tsukaimon observed quietly.
'So this is what humans find funny!' The plant and devil-pig digimon's thought simultaneously.
"I-it's just," Mimi started as she calmed down a bit. "You don't have to be a girl to wear nail polish," She said with a scoff.
TK's eyes widened. "Really?" He never heard anyone say that before, he was always told the opposite, from his father, grandmother, and brother. He always loved to make his nails pretty, but no one but his mother thought it was appropriate.
"Uh, yeah! My uncle wears it like all the time," Mimi sassed with a scoff. "So do you want some or not?"
"Yes!" He beamed, jumping down to his rear sitting crisscross. Tsukaimon squealed, gripping his paws into TK's hat. Spreading his finger he snapped them out in front of Mimi nodding to the green tube of nail polish."I want the gree-"
He couldn't continue his sentence as a loud rumbling noise was heard from far away, and soon after the ground started to shake.
"AAAAAAHHHH!" Mimi shrieked, her fear of earthquakes kicking in. She grasped onto TK's shoulders as if the eight-year-old would bring her protection. She did feel safer once she felt Aruraumon's arms wrap around her waist from behind.
TK's gasped, his excitement for earthquakes kicking in. "Yeah! Another earthquake!"
Although once it started, it quickly ended leaving a relieved Mimi and upset TK. Mimi sighed in relief and TK frowned muttering a "Bummer!".
"Are you guys okay?!" Kari ran up to them, with Salamon cuddled in her arms. Mimi gave her a genuine yet scared smile. "Yep!" She said enthusiastically, giving her a thumbs up. "All good!"
Suddenly, a dark tree-shaped shadow loomed over them, Mimi's back towards it and TK and Kari were facing it. TK and Kari's eyes were wide and their face went pale, Mimi was already sweating. She might not be able to see whatever was hiding behind her but by the two humans' reactions, she already knows it can't be good.
She slowly turned her face around and saw the creepy face of the same tree Digimon who attacked them before. He was growling, his eyes piercing through her. Then the Digimon raised an arm, and Mimi shrieked.
"Nemesis Ivy!"
"Friendly Fire!"
"Holy Shoot!"
All three Digimons sent out an attack. Aruraumon stretched out her vines and strangled them around his body, Tsukaimon coughed out a fireball after inflating, and Salamon shot out a ball of holy energy.
These attacks pushed Woodmon away, but the vines did the most damaged as he felt his body lose energy. Soon purple poisonous spot rotten his wood.
"Branch Bash!" A piece of wood flew across Aruraumon's ivy snapping them in half. She gasped and closed her eyes shut, the loss of her vines causing her entire arm to sting in pain.
"Geez!" Aruraumon grunted, her vines zipping back now fingerless, but it luckily grew back, the yellow nail polish now gone. Aruraumon eyelids lowered in anger as she pointed her finger at the Woodmon.
"How dare you?!" Aruraumon exploded, swinging her vines at the Woodmon who knocked the vines away with his wood arm. She growled in anger. "My nail polish is gone thanks to you!"
"Uhhh, Aruraumon?" Her human partner gulped, as she pinched Aruraumon's rotten flower to get her attention. Aruruamon was still pissed off, and she seethed snapping her head to face Mimi. But her eyes widened at what she saw.
Around four more Woodmon's were present, surrounding the group of humans and digimon's. The kids and digimon's in their arms (Aruraumon clinging to Mimi's dress) walked back while the menacing digimon's walked closer until their backs hit each other's and there was no more room to move.
"We're doomed," Salamon said with no emotion nor fear, as all five Woodmon's raised an arm ready to strike.
While searching for food, Psychemon dropped the fruits in his arms, his head turning around to where the other kids are.
"What is it?" Matt asked who was kneeling looking at some weird mushrooms. He noticed Psychemon who was suddenly intrigued by something far ahead.
Psychemon's eyes squinted and his senses sharpened. His fur stuck up and his voice hummed a low growl. Matt watched him as he stared off angrily at the distance like some dog who met an intruder or unknown stranger.
"Is something coming?" Matt ask but Psychemon shook his head no. Psychemon continued to growl and stare ahead and Matt continued to watch.
Psychemon noticed something off, but he couldn't place it. He has a good sent, he could catch any of his Digimon friends and their partner's (the ones he met) sent from any distance, and he could still smell the childish TK's, sweet Kari's, and pretty Mimi's sent from where he and Matt left them, and he could never miss the annoying Tsukaimon's, stupid Salamon's, and rude Aruraumon's sent. It was clear to him as always but there was something off, something different.
He sniffed the air, and suddenly his eyes widened, fur sticking up in alarm.
"There's a bunch of Woodmon!" Psychemon exclaimed a he began running towards the lake. Matt's eyes widened, as he dropped the fruits and chased him.
"Wait!" He yelled trying to catch up to the most faster Digimon. Matt sprinted towards the wolf-reptile Digimon, but Psychemon just sped up getting Matt tired and sweating.
'He was so tired and slow a second ago!' Matt thought amazed at how fast Psychemon can become in just a matter of minutes. They made it through the trees and the vision of a bunch of tree Digimon surrounding Psychemon's friends and their partners. Matt felt his body shake and his eyes widened at the sight of TK huddling his Digimon with fear clouding his eyes.
"TK!" Matt shrieked and TK's head snapped towards the voice coming from his body. He felt his body relax as his lips turned into a relieved and gleeful smile. "Matt!"
"Woody Smash!" TK screamed and Matt's face went pale as Tsukaimon flew out of TK's arms and pushed him to the ground, letting the boy miss the Woodmon smash his two hands against him and instead hit the ground which caused it to quake.
"This is for killing my friend!" Another Woodmon bawled as he used his Woody Smash against Mimi who shrieked. Although he missed as Aruraumon wrapped her vines from her left arm around Mimi's waist and threw her while she was whipping vines at Woodmon with her right. Mimi skid away and she groaned as she felt her body throb from the rocky ground.
Aruraumon continued to dodge each attack and managed to hit a whip at her opponent. The Woodmon seethed and squinted as her vines scratched his wood stinging his face. With anger, he growled, and he used his bigger wood arms to attack.
"Drain Buster!" His strong tree trunk slammed against Aruraumon's body, she tried to dodge but failed as her lower body was crushed by his trunk. To make matters worse, his tree trunks are poisonous and Arurumon's eyes widened and gritted her teeth as she felt her lower body burn and weaken.
"Aruraumon!" Mimi whimpered feeling tears threaten to fall. She shook her head and bit her lip, squeezing the skirt of her dress.
"It's all your fault!" The third Woodmon said to Salamon, who was trying to hit her with his branches but she used her small body to her advantage missing each hit. She came close enough so she could bit his foot-branch, and the wailing Digimon cried in pain. Salamon's sharpest teeth dug through his branch and she kept her mouth shut. The Woodmon was flinging his foot in pain, trying to get her off but she wouldn't let go. She felt her stomach doing cartwheels and flips as the Woodmon continued to fling his legs around flinging her around with it.
The Woodmon stopped, tears pricking his eyes. "He's dead because of you! Dead!" He roared as he put all of his energy to his right foot and he stomped into the ground, causing the ground to quake and break and the holy pup squealed, her body flying away. "If you haven't bumped into Woodmon then your friends wouldn't have had to destroy him!"
"I couldn't see!" Salamon busted out in an attempt to defend herself. As suspected the Woodmon didn't care, he raised his arm in the air and it dashed towards her. She could hear Kari cry out her name but as selfish as she is she didn't care about her since she really didn't want to die, aware that her little body would be crushed in seconds.
"Friendly Fire!"
"Coloured Sparkle!"
The two fire attacks were enough to burn and destroy that Woodmon. It wasn't hard since he is made of wood after all. The other Woodmon's gasped, as they had to witness yet another one of their comrades die. Tsukaimon and Psychemon flew/ran up to Salamon, as Matt ran up to Kari while dragging TK by his wrist.
"Come on!" He demanded as he pulled her up to her feet. Her body being smaller has a bigger disadvantage and she was on her feet and being pulled by Matt in no time, not being able to run towards Salamon.
"Are you okay?" Tsukaimon asked his best friend, and instead of showing gratitude, Salamon showed selfishness and anger.
"I wanted to kill him!" She whined and Psychemon rolled his eyes not one surprised by the outburst.
"Whatever!" Psychemon chided as he ran away to the fallen Aruraumon the other two smaller digimons following him.
Aruraumon didn't notice that they killed another annoying pest, she was in too much pain. She felt the energy drain out from, her legs falling asleep and her lower body slowly dissolving away. Well not literally, it was just the poison playing tricks on Aruraumon.
The Woodmon was too distracted by the death of his friend that he of course didn't notice the three smaller digimons run up towards him and Aruraumon. His eyes widened and sweat fell down his wood as he felt fire burn through his wood dissolving him into tiny data pieces, letting Aruraumon go.
"Are you okay?" Psychemon asked as he lifted Aruraumon's upper body letting her lean in his arms. Aruraumon groaned, struggling to keep her eyes open. "Y-yeah..."
"Aruraumon!" Mimi shrieked. She saw her Digimon get free from the trunks but felt her stomach drop once she saw the plant digimon's lower body damped in purple poison, her legs rotten and mouldy like an old spoiled fruit. Her heart was pounding and her body was trembling, sweat damping her hair and face.
She cried out her digimons name again and was about to run up to her, to hug her, until the three last Woodmon started to march up to the rookie's, and Matt grasped onto her arm preventing her from leaving.
"We're going!" He ordered, his eyes narrowed. Mimi gasped as she saw anger and hatred flood through his eyes.
"NO!" She exclaimed, pulling her arm free. "Can't you see that they're hurt?! We have to help them!"
Matt just rolled his eyes, seeming annoyed. "Who cares! He rebutted. "We can't just stay here! We'll die!" TK whined, his lips forming a pout. The eight-year-old grasped onto his older brother's shirt pulling it down.
"I care, Matt!" TK whimpered and Kari nodded. "Yeah! I don't want to leave Salamon or the others behind!" She agreed.
Matt wanted to scoff, roll his eyes, and fight back explaining that he's trying to protect them, but he noticed something else. He noticed the painted green nails that were grasping his shirt, a green that is a lighter shade of green than Matt's shirt. The nails that belonged to a little boy, someone who should not wear girly things. Those nails belonged to his little brother. Even though he told him multiple times not to wear them, even though those nails were the reason for their parent's divorce, even though those nails were the reason they hadn't been able to see each other for the past four years.
TK noticed, and he blushed in fear and embarrassment quickly hiding his nails, looking away ashamed. He didn't dare to look back up, his brother was mad at first, but now he was probably furious.
"Fine," Matt finally responded, but was surprisingly calm. TK looked up with disbelief expecting his brother's emotions to get the worst of him but seemed to have done the opposite, did Matt change that much?
But he didn't, he was still mad, really, really mad. He was beyond frustrated, he couldn't help but feel hatred for everyone and everything. Why couldn't they just listen to him? Why couldn't anyone listen to him?! Everyone ignores him even though he was just trying to help them.
He begged his parents not to get a divorce, to make up, he begged them not to separate him and TK, but they didn't listen. Mom moved away, out of Odaiba with TK and dad did the same but with him. He begged TK not to paint his nails, to stop, but he still didn't listen. His dad was mad the first time but then his anger took the better of him the second time and a backhand slap met TK's cheeks. His mother got even madder, and they fought for the rest of the night. He begged TK to apologize to dad, but he still didn't listen. And now when he is trying to get everyone safe they all ignored him.
"I don't need you guys," He first said quietly and no one could hear him. The second time he was consumed by anger.
"I don't need anyone!" He shouted and TK and Kari winced by the volume of his voice, Mimi rolled her eyes at how edgy the boy seemed to her. Then suddenly, a dark murky blue light brightened from his pocket which surrounded Psychemon.
"Psychemon digivolve to...Gururumon"
Psychemon blue glowy body expanded into the shape of a wolf and soon died down to show a large menacing wolf with white fur and dark blue tiger stripes. He has dark purple sharp claws and deep black eyes, his curly tail swinging in the air. Gururumon eyes were covered by a deep shadow, his claws clenched deep in the ground and his mouth dripping saliva of bloodthirst.
The smaller three digimons, amazed and flabbergasted at the newly evolved Digimon took a step back with surprise written all over their faces.
"Wow!" Aruraumon gasped as Salamon's smile widened. "He digivolved." Tsukaimon blinked as he flew higher to get a better look. "He looks so...cool!"
"Cute!" TK gushed, giggling once he saw the wolf that took Psychemon's place in battle. "He evolved! Like in Pokemon!"
"Gururumon?" Matt questions, looking at the demon wolf, then back at his pocket. The light had faded and digging through his pocket he found a dark device that he never had before. Gururumon snarled, glaring at the three Woodmon's. The tree digimon's took a step back, aware of the new power this Digimon now posses.
"Wh-who cares!" One of the Woodmon's retorted while another one gave him a worried glared. "You still killed our frie-"
"Gururu Thrust!"
The Woodmon screeched, his eyes widening as he felt his body split into six pieces, Gururmon claws cutting through his wood. Those six pieces burst into data seconds later to reveal the same Gururumon behind him, even though he was standing in front of them just two seconds ago.
"Woodmon!" The last two fretted as sweat soaked through their wood. Then they saw a shadow dashed by their eyes, and felt the presence of a Digimon standing behind them. The terrified digimons slowly turned around, sweat dripping down their wood faster, to see Gururumon glaring at them, with saliva dripping from his mouth.
"EYAAAHHHHH" The two Woodmon's screamed while Gururumon roared a menacing roar. They both ran, the first Woodmon was able to get away quickly but the second one felt some sort of rope wrap around his body, slowing him down. He growled as he instantly recognized the bonds that were keeping him still as Aruruamon's vines, so he was not one bit surprised when he saw the three rookies behind him, Aruraumon sitting with her back against the two smaller digimon's.
But his body instantly racked with fear once he saw another shadow zoomed in front of him, and then died down to Gururumon with his mouth wide opened.
"Chaos Blaster!" Gururumon breaths out an intense blue flame, and the Woodmon screamed as the flame burned his body into charcoal. Although this had killed Gururumon's opponent, it had worsened the pain on Aruraumon's, his ally's, fingertips by burning the vines.
Aruraumon groaned as she strung her vines to her fingertips. She tried to shake off the pain and gasped once she saw the nail polish replaced with burned vines. "You ruined my nail polish!" Aruraumon confronted, "And burned my vines!"
Gururumon quickly growled annoyed, which slightly rumbled the ground below. This shut Aruraumon up as the three rookies stiffened in fear. Gururmon turned around to look at the last and final Woodmon, whose back was against another tree, sweat dripping down its wood and its body shaking with terror. Gururumon smiled satisfyingly while licking his lips. Just as he likes it.
"Ice Cannon!" Gururumon opened his mouth once more but not to let out a beam of fire but to shoot out balls of solid ice. Each ice hit the frightened Woodmon, who was too afraid to move. The Woodmon cried out in pain and shivered as the ice spread across his body making him stuck in solid ice.
Although he can't move, he was still very aware and awake of everything going on, and he darted his eyes and looked up to see Gururumon somersaulting in the air. Woodmon's eyes would've widened if it could've.
"Dark Moonsault!" Gururmon kicked the Woodmon and the ice shattered, and so did Woodmon. All was left was a trace of Woodmon's data.
TK giggled a wholehearted giggle, forgetting the whole incident with his painted nails and angered brother. He ran up to the wolf Digimon, ignoring his brother whose trying to stop him, and hugged his chest. Tsukaimon flew away from Aruraumon, and being one of Aruraumon's support she fell on her back crushing Salamon. Tsukaimon caught up to TK flying above his partner.
"You're so cute!" TK cooed as he closed his eyes and rubbed his hand across the soft fur. Tsukaimon frowned and sat on Gururumon's head.
"He's not cute!" Tsukaimon rebutted as he pat his tiny front paws on the wolf's head. Suddenly Gururumon growled a low rumbling sound softly, causing Tsukaimon to jump in the air with surprise and fear. He slowly flew further away.
TK felt the vibration of the wolf and heard the anger in the rough growling, but he didn't seem bothered or afraid as he continued to pet and rub the giant wolf. "Your fur's so soft.."
Gururumon sneered at the boy, and that still didn't get TK afraid so he turned his head away to keep himself from exploding at the clingy and touchy boy. He does have a huge urge and craving for blood and killing, but he couldn't do that to one of the Dark Digidestined, especially if he was his own partner's brother.
"TK!" Matt called out to his brother running up to him, but once he met eyes with his partner he slowed down with caution, worried at what the giant bloodthirsty wolf would do. Gururumon grinned, not bothered by his partner's reaction at all as his body glowed a dark blue colour. He turned back into Psychemon, the dark blue light dashing towards Matt's black device and Matt eyed it still confused.
"Aww!" TK whined frowning. "I liked you as Gururumon! You were cute!"
"I wasn't cute!" Psychemon growled his cheeks tainted red, "I was awesome!"
"Exactly!" Tsukaimon agreed nodding on top of TK's head. TK still seemed set on that he was just cute and shook his head.
"Nah! He was just cute! And adorable and fluffy!" TK cooed and he placed a hand on Psychemon's head, petting it softly. Psychemon's cheeks flushed and he quickly snapped his head to the side, suckling. Matt smiled inwardly and he noticed the green nails on Psychemon and his smile fell.
'Try to ignore it, try to ignore it, try to ignore it.' For his brother's sake, Matt told his mind to shut up about it and pretend he saw nothing, but of course, his brain didn't listen as his hand moved on its own, grasping his brother's hand and brushed his thumb against TK's nails.
TK gasped, before looking away with flushed cheeks. His other hand twitching as it played with the hem of his shorts, feeling anxious about his brother's reaction and felt his cheeks go warm.
But his brother just stared at it and continued to brush his thumb against the painted nails. TK mustered up the little courage he has left and looked up to his brother, deciding to speak first.
"S-sorry," He meekly apologized slipping his hand away. "I'll go wash it off now..."
He sounded so sad and upset, his voice was low and sounded like he was about to cry. Matt felt his heart pound with regret and guilt.
"Wait!" Matt cried grabbing his brother's hand before he walked away. "It's fine, I don't care."
At that TK's eyes widened and shinned with hope and happiness. "Really?!" He gasped and Matt nodded. "Really."
"Psychemon!" Mimi shrieked as she ran up to them carrying Aruraumon by the hip. She wrapped her free arm around Psychemon's neck and she bent down giving him a peck on the cheek. Psychemon gasped and his cheeks went warm and flushed.
"Thank you!" Mimi thanked pulling apart. Kari and Salamon were behind her catching up to them. "If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have my Aruraumon with me right now!" Gushed Mimi as she snuggled her cheek to Aruraumon's. Aruraumon smiled brightly, hugging Mimi.
"I'll be fine!" She chirped. "Just gotta grow out new legs and I can walk again!"
Kari finally caught up, tugging Matt's shirt. The older boy looked down at her and she grinned. "You should probably thank Psychemon!" She hummed. "And apologize too!"
Matt sighed, knowing she was right. He kneeled to eye level with Psychemon, his hand tapping his head.
"Thank you," Matt thanked softly and Psycehmon smiled. "And I'm sorry. I shouldn't have ignored nor neglected you. You're my friend, I should've been there for you."
At that though, Psychemon frowned and Matt tilted his head, wondering if he said something wrong. "Is everything okay?"
Of course it isn't, said an unknown voice and Matt flinched. He snapped his head around him, trying to locate where the voice was coming from but couldn't. What filled his sight was blackness, absolutely nothing. He stood in the middle of darkness that had consumed his little brother, his friends and the digimons.
Frantically, Matt spun around trying to find where everyone went, but he couldn't. The voice continued to speak.
Why would you apologize for protecting yourself? You should've left, you should've stayed by yourself, you shouldn't have dragged the others with you. They were stupid, trying to get yourself killed, you should've protected yourself.
'What?' Matt gasped as he felt his head pound and a cold dark shiver run down his spine. He clenched his head feeling darkness taking over his body.
Although, it was good that you stayed. The voice admitted. Those Woodmon were stupid, you should've destroyed them at first glance. But you still don't need them! You don't need friends! They haven't even learned about their true selves yet, they're useless!
'No, they're not! I need them! They've helped me!' He shouted in his head and he heard the dark voice growled.
You don't need anyone! You never needed anyone! You never needed your father, the man who cares more about his job than his own children. You never needed your mother, the woman who only loves her youngest and doesn't even think about her eldest, and you never needed your brother, the boy who was so afraid of his dad that he would've never seen his own brother again.
'That's not true, that's not true, that's not true!' Matt yelled in his head ferociously, falling to his knees. The voice didn't respond, and all he felt was petit hands clenching his shirt pulling it down.
"Matt!" TK shrilled and Matt snapped his eyes open. The darkness was gone and the faces of his worried friends were there. He looked down to TK who was staring at him with worry and fear.
"Are you okay?" His brother asked but Matt ignored him. He stood up and dusted off his pants.
"Wash off the nail polish," Matt said sharply and suddenly, causing TK to flinch. "W-what?"
"I said go wash off the paint from your nails, he said calmly as he turned his back on his brother. "Matt!" Mimi gasped, clearly disappointed at how he talked to the eight-year-old boy.
TK's eyes begin to well with tears, as he looked down at his beautifully painted nails. He turned around and ran to the river, crying.
"TK!" Kari and Tsukaimon exclaimed simultaneously. The two of them plus Salamon ran after the crying boy who was cleaning his nails in the river water. Mimi and Aruraumon continued to glare at the older boy, but Matt just ignored it.
"Psychemon!" Psychemon's head perked at the mention of his name and slowly walked towards Matt. "Yeah?"
"Let's go get some food,"
Ok so I was in the middle of writing the fight between Sangloupmon (the champion form of Psychemon I was originally gonna use) and the Woodmon's, but then I was searching through Garurumon species for whatever reason and I came across Gururmon. A Digimon that is Garurumon but with brighter fur and is evil. I saw him in this one fanfiction but I thought it was an OC so I was hella surprised once I realized that he was an official Digimon that actually exists. And because Garurumon is the champion form for Gabumon and BlackGarurumon is the champion form for BlackGabumon, I thought why not write Gururumon as the champion form for Psychemon? So I erased my fight scene and rewrote it. But this also means I might have to make a new digivolution line for him lol. I might use official Digimon's for the rest of his digivolution line or I might make an OC like WereGururumon or something. So, anyone who doesn't know who he is, he is literally Garurumon but evil with whiter fur and darker stripes.
Also, I added in the whole theme of boys wearing nail polish is ok and there is no such thing as boy things and girl things is something I agree with and wanted to mention here. (Kid TK was for sure into that when he was younger, at least to me).
And Matt was always more overdramatic and gets angered easily in the anime, while Tai always tried to stay cool and calm, so that's why Matt had more of an aggressive reaction to this. Also, Matt's parents aren't actually like that it's just that this mysterious voice was exaggerating things to pull Matt to darkness. And Matt sorted changed already but it's kinda temporarily, he does get much worse. The same thing will happen to each kid.
Next chapter has Biyomon's evolution!
Also just a little update on my updates, because of school and all and just me being lazy, my updates for this fic will be inconsistent. Sometimes they would come out a little before a month or much earlier than a month, but something that will not change is that it wouldn't be any more than one month unless it is like one or two days more. As you can probably tell I am more devoted to updating The Eight Chaos unlike my other fics because I am more into this Dark Digidestined theme and I actually have a plot in mind so.
Wow, this was a loooong A/N.
