Hello! This next chapter was a lot of fun to write. I hope you enjoy. Please review if you can! :)
Mufasa pulled up to the palace and parked. Simba and Nala got out and Zazu pulled up. "Zazu, take Nala home. I've got to teach my son a lesson." Mufasa said. Simba cringed.
Nala got in with Zazu and they drove away. "SIMBA!" Mufasa shouted. Simba faced his father timidly. Mufasa started walking to the gardens and Simba knew to follow. Simba sat down in the grass. He tried to avoid looking at his father. "Simba, I'm very disappointed in you. You could have been killed! And you put Nala in danger!" Mufasa yelled. "I was just trying to be brave like you." Simba said as he started to tear up.
"I'm only brave when I have to be. Simba, being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble." Mufasa said in a calmer tone. "But you're not scared of anything." Simba said softly and looked up at Mufasa this time. "I was today." Mufasa admitted. "You were?" Simba asked in surprise. "Yes, I thought I might lose you." Mufasa said as he sat down beside Simba. "So even kings get scared?" Simba asked. Mufasa nodded. "You know what? I bet them thugs were terrified." Simba said and laughed. Mufasa chuckled. "Cuz nobody messes with your Dad!" Mufasa exclaimed and grabbed Simba by the waist.
"Oh no you don't!" Simba yelled and tackled Mufasa in the grass. They fought playfully for a few minutes and Mufasa let Simba pin him down. "Dad, we're pals right?" Simba asked. "Right." Mufasa said with a chuckle. "And we'll always be together, right?" Simba asked. Mufasa became more serious. "Simba, let me tell you something that my father told me. Look at the stars. The great kings and queens of the past look down on us from those stars. So whenever you feel alone, remember that they will always be there to guide you and so will I." Mufasa told him. Simba smiled and he and Mufasa walked back into the palace.
Meanwhile in Shadow Town - Shenzi's Living Room
"Man, that lousy Mufasa! I won't be able to sit for a week!" Banzai shouted. Ed tried to contain his laughter. "It's not funny Ed." Banzai said with a glare. Ed burst into laughter and rolled on the floor. Banzai punched him in the shoulder. Shenzi walked into the room. "Will you guys knock it off!" she yelled. Banzai and Ed sat up straight. "No wonder no one respects us. And you know, if it weren't for them royal people we'd be runnin' the country!" Shenzi complained.
"Man, I hate royalty! They're so pushy and hairy and stinky!" Banzai said. "And man are they UGLY!" Shenzi and Banzai said together. Suddenly the door burst open and Scar walked in. "Oh surely we're not that bad." he said and crossed his arms. The three thugs jumped, startled. "Oh, Scar. It's just you. I was afraid it was somebody important." Shenzi said and breathed a sigh of relief. "Yeah like Mufasa." Banzai piped up. "Tell me about it! I just hear that name and I shudder." Shenzi said. "Mufasa! Mufasa! Mufasa!" Banzai teased. Shenzi shuddered as she said she would.
Scar rolled his eyes and facepalmed. "I'm surrounded by idiots." he said aloud. Shenzi became serious and sat up. "So, uh, will we be getting paid today?" Shenzi asked and smiled nervously. Scar sighed and threw a huge wad of cash on the table. Shenzi and Banzai jumped up. "I don't think you really deserve this. I practically gift wrapped those children for you and they didn't even come back with a single scratch." Scar said and glared at them. "Well you know Scar, it wasn't like they were alone." Shenzi pointed out as she, Banzai, and Ed divided up the money. "Yeah what were we supposed to do? Kill Mufasa?" Banzai asked.
Scar grinned. "Exactly." he said. The thugs looked at him in shock. "You all hate the way Mufasa runs the country, right?" Scar asked them. They nodded. "Then stick with me and you'll never be in poverty again! We are going to kill Mufasa and Simba too. Then I will be king and I'll change the whole system. You and your supporters will be my army and I promise your people will no longer live like this. I just need your full support." Scar explained. "We're with you Scar!" the thugs shouted. They and Scar walked outside and rounded up their new army. Scar Jumped up onto his truck. "Friends! Tomorrow we end Mufasa's reign and take control of the country! Be prepared for the chance of a liftime and the coup of the century!" he shouted to the crowd.
The new army cheered. "Be prepared!" they shouted . Scar tilted his head back and laughed maniacally.
