Adora and the others arrive to Salineas thanks to Glimmer's teleportation. They stood in the throne room of the castle where Princess Mermista had just walked in. "Um, what are you guys doing here?" She asked in her usual monotone voice.

"Mermista, where is the mother box?" Adora asked quickly.

"The mother what?"

"I don't think she knows what it's really called," Glimmer said.

"Can someone explain to me what is going on?" An annoyed Mermista asked.

"Princess, is there some kind of artifact that your kingdom has been guarding for a long time?" Micah asked her, "some kind of box?"

"You mean the box in the vault only the royal family and a select few guards are supposed to know?" She answered with another question, "yeah."

"You have to show us where it is."

"Yeah… I'm not supposed to let the box leave the vault…"

Adora and Glimmer both groaned in annoyance. "Listen, if you don't show us where that box is, Etheria could be destroyed," Adora told her.

"Could you please tell me why it's so important?"

"Well, to make it a long story short," Entrapta began to explain, "that box is one of three that some evil guy is looking for so he can terraform the planet."

"That sounds bad. But my dad told me to never show that box to any outsiders unless it's absolutely necessary."

"I think this situation calls for it!" Glimmer exclaimed.

"Ok, fine." Mermista led them to a blocked cave with four guards standing beside it. "Open the cave," she ordered. The two guards pulled two large levers that opened the entrance. As they walked through the darkly lit cave, Adora started to look concerned. Catra caught up to try to see what was bothering her.

"Are you ok?" She asked Adora.

"No, I'm not," Adora answered.

"What is it?"

"It's this whole mother box thing. What if we can't stop our enemy from gathering them and destroying Etheria?"

"But you beat Horde Prime. If anyone can beat this guy it's She Ra."

"But it took the first ones and the horde just to make them retreat. Right now, Etheria is in pieces. If I can't stop this Darkseid, whoever attacked Mystacor, then who can?"

Catra touched Adora's shoulder to comfort her. "I know you can stop him. And not only will sparkles and the others be there to help, but I will too." Their foreheads touched each other and resulted in Adora's spirits being lifted.

"Thank you."

They all reached the end of the cave to find a vault in the ground that was completely submerged in water. "There it is," Mermista said as she pointed down.

"I don't think that water will keep any intruders out for long," Glimmer said.

"My kingdom has guarded this thing for over 1,000 years."

"So did Mystacor," Bow said.

"We'll have to stay here and keep the enemy from stealing it," Adora said.

"I wish I could help," Micah told them, "but if someone is looking for this box, then there's a chance he could attack the other kingdoms. Including Brightmoon. I must see that our defenses are strong enough."

"It's ok," Glimmer reassured her dad, "I'll take you back."

"Do you also mind if you take me back to Dryll?" Entrapta asked, "If one of the boxes is in the hands of the bad guys and this one is down there, then that means we've gotta find the third one."

"I'll take you both." Both Micah and Entrapta held onto Glimmer as she used her teleportation powers. Suddenly, one of the guards from the entrance of the cave came running towards them.

"Princess Mermista!" The guard exclaimed.

"What's the matter now?" She asked.

"The guards for the next shift. They haven't arrived," the guard answered, "they were supposed to be here. But they haven't shown up."

On the shores of a beach not too far from Sea Worthy, a group of Parademons carried the four guards intended for the next shift. They all dropped the guards onto the sand as Steppenwolf grabbed one of the guard's helmets and crushed it with his bare hand. He then grabbed the guard by the neck and said, "You have been near a mother box. The scent is on you. Where is it?"

"No son or daughter of Salineas will ever tell you," the guard said with pride. But Steppenwolf furiously threw him toward a large rock on the beach. His head started bleeding out as his skull had been cracked. "My people have guarded the box for a thousand years." Steppenwolf placed a small six legged starfish shaped machine into his face. "I will never betray my own people!"

However, the machine turn itself on and showed a hologram of the location of that vault containing the mother box. Including a 3D render of the vault and the box. "You already have," Steppenwolf said as the guard bleed to death.
