Chapter 2 - Loguetown

Megumi's POV:

It's been a few days since we left Cocoyashi Village; it's been peaceful. I walk up the stairs of the Captain's quarter, where Nami and I reside for privacy, though it doesn't always stop Sanji from trying to take a peek. I straighten my dark green mid-thigh length skirt, making sure my white button-up shirt is tucked into the skirt. I pull the straps attached to the skirt over my shoulders, keeping the skirt in place and tie the laces tighter of my black chunky platform boots. I walk out of the storage room onto the main deck, I see Zoro near the front, probably napping like always, and walk around to the step leading to the rear of the ship where I see Usopp making some special pellets and Nami taking the paper. "You raised your price again?!" She huffs with anger, but the poor seagull just shrugs, not like he's to blame. "Don't you think your place charges a bit much!" She hands over the money a little reluctantly. "Raise it again, and I'll stop buying it!" She warns him, and he flies away.

"What's the big deal? It's just a paper or two." Usopp comments.

"Not when you're buying it every day!" She complains, and I walk over, taking the paper from her hand, tapping her on the head with the paper. "Hey!"

"There's no need for you to save up money to buy your village back from Arlong now, you know. Or to be so obsessive about money." Usopp points out, looking back at her.

"You're so dumb! Now that everything's over, I'm going to earn money for myself now!" She tells him and turns to face him as she says this, then turns back, snatching the paper back for herself. "I don't wanna be some poor pirate who can't even dress up!" She beams, and I sling my arm around her shoulder.

"That we can agree on!" I chuckle.

"Whoa, calm down!" Usopp warns us. "I'm in the middle of developing my special Tabasco Star! An eyeful of this will male any bad guy-" Luffy suddenly comes flying out of Nami, and I's little tangerine orchard on the top of the roof of the kitchen area. Our beloved Captain crashes into Usopp, knocking the tabasco sauce into his eyes; it takes a couple of seconds before he starts screaming in pain. "Water!" He keeps chanting as he runs across the deck, clutching at his eyes; I roll mine at his overreaction, though I do get a wet washcloth to cover his eyes.

"C'mon! Just one!" Luffy pleads with Sanji, who guards our orchard against Luffy's sticky hands.

"No! This is Nami-san and Megumi-chan's tangerine orchard! I won't let anyone lay a finger on it!" He warns him, and I chuckle as I sit under the umbrella, and Nami sits on her lounge chair reading the paper, and I start working on my new gunpowder recipe. "Nami-san! Megumi-chan! Your love security is infallible!" He cries out to us, and I giggle at his lovesick look.

"Yeah. Thanks, Sanji-Kun." Nami replies, not looking up from her paper.

"Well done, Sanji, keep up the good work." I giggle as Usopp lies down on the ground, still holding the damp washcloth.

"C'mon! Just one tangerine! You're such a cheapskate, Sanji!" Luffy sticks his tongue out as he sits on the railing.

"No!" Sanji drags out.

"Well, oh well! I'm happy now, anyway!" He grins with a shrug.

"The world sure is a turbulent place. Another coup in Villa…" Nami mutters as she reads the paper, and I peek as she turns the page and something flies out between the pages, the two pieces of paper fly in the air.

"A flyer?" Luffy questions and they land on the floor, and we all look at what the two pieces of paper are in shock. We all cry out in shock, horror and glee.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

3rd POV:

Over in the Grand Line at Marine Headquarters, the Marines of HQ sit around as they discuss the new bounties in the East Blue, four of the major contenders already pinned on the board. Buggy The Clown worth 15 million, Pirate Fleet Commodore, Don Krieg worth 17 million, Fishman Pirate, Saw-Tooth Arlong worth 20 million, and Treasure Hunter Megumi worth 25 million. "So, at the very least, they're now too much for our branches to handle?" One of the Captains questions as they all eat and drink around the room.

"Yes, even before forming his pirate group, he defeated Marine Branch Captain Axe-Hand Morgan, and he's shown no signs of slowing down since. Buggy The Clown, 15 million. Pirate Fleet Commodore, Don Krieg, 17 million. Fishman Pirate, Saw-Tooth Arlong, 20 million These major pirates have all crossed the big 10 million Berry mark in the East Blue, where the average bounty is 2 million Berries...but they've all been taken down. 30 million Berries as a starting bounty is globally unprecedented, but it is not an excessively high amount. It may be best to nip such seeds of villainy early on before they have a chance to get out of hand." The man at the front announces and shows the new wanted poster of Monkey D. Luffy.

"Absolutely." One of the Captains agrees.

"But what about Treasure Hunter Megumi? Wasn't she a part of Arlong's crew?" Another Captain questions, pointing to the far left poster.

"Treasure Hunter Megumi has been reported to have changed sides; she now sails with Straw Hat Luffy." He answers, and there are mumbles around the room from the Marine Captains.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

Around the East Blue people, all see the new Wanted Poster of Straw Hat Luffy with his grinning face, some in shock at the high bounty, some that Luffy and his friends helped all glad to see they're doing well for themselves, and see Treasure Hunter Megumi's poster with his, wondering how they met and joined forces.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

Megumi's POV:

Luffy holds up his Wanted Poster with a big fat grin across his face as he laughs and I hold mine, seeing the new picture, seeing as the old once was taken around when I was 15-years-old, when I got my first bounty, apart from the added little things on the bottom, my price is the same. I look at the wanted poster of my new Captain in shock. "No fair!" I complain as I look back and forth at the price difference, he's 5 million more than me.

"We're wanted criminals now!" Luffy exclaims with glee as he holds his poster out to the others to take a look.

"'Dead or Alive...30 million Berries…'?!" Usopp yells in shock.

"It says I'm 30 million Berries!" He laughs; I can't help the smile, even if I am a little upset that he now has the highest bounty in the East Blue.

"Look! I'm gonna be seen around the world! Girls nightfall for me!" Usopp beams, getting a silly look on his face, and that seems to upset our resident love cook as he peers over the wanted poster.

"What?! They put Long-nose in but left me out?!" He exclaims as he looks over. "Where are you?! I don't see you anywhere!"

"See!" Usopp points to the small little figure in the bottom left corner, causing Sanji to sulk a little.

"It's just the back of your head. That's nothing to brag about." He mutters as he sulks.

"Don't be so glum! You can get on these without being Captain, like Megumi, if you get more important!" Usopp points out.

"Seriously?!" He perks up.

"Of course, I did," I tell him, and he and Usopp jump up dancing around; Luffy continues laughing as he holds up his wanted poster.

"Let's rush into the Grand Line, men!" He orders with glee, and they cheer in response.

"Yet again, you guys don't understand the seriousness of the situation!" Nami snaps at them. "This means our lives are in danger now!" They just ignore her.

"Sis, we've been in danger for eight years; you starting to worry now?" I ask her, and she gives me a mean stare.

"This is no time to be taking it easy and relaxing in the East Blue." She points out.

"True, but look at them." I point over to them as they keep celebrating about going to the Pirate Graveyard. "Just try to enjoy yourself. It's not so bad on the Grand Line."

"Yeah, well, just because you've gone there before!" She yells, and the boys stop cheering, looking over at us.

"Yep, I've been all over the place collecting glorious treasure," I reply smugly, and Nami looks at me with a glare again. "Come now, baby sister, think of it, all the treasure we can spend on new clothes, a few nice pieces of jewellery." I bribe her a little, and I see the stars in her eyes as she thinks about it.

"To the Grand Line!" She cheers, and the boys continue cheering.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

It's nearly lunchtime when we come across a wrecked Marine warship. As we continue sailing, I walk over to the tangerine trees to check on them and start watering as I look at the piece of junk as it turns around to sail beside us. "Do you think some pirates attacked it? That warship is scrapped…" Luffy wonders as he and Usopp sit on the side of the ship.

"It's not nice of the Marines to toss its scrapped ships into the ocean…." Usopp sighs at the sight of the ship by our side, and a man with pink hair in a white pinstripe suit comes to the side angrily stomping his foot.

"This is not a scrapped ship! So you guys got knotholes for eyes?! Have you forgotten what Iron Fist Fullbody looks like?!" The man shouts with his fist raised in anger; though the ship is larger than ours, it would likely fall apart from a strong breeze.

"Oh! You're that Marine guy from sometime!" Luffy nods, seeming to remember him. "Are you estranged? Want us to help you?" He asks, being the overly nice person he is, but only angers the Marine further.

"Quit fooling around. Our meeting here spells the end of your luck!" He snaps and pulls up Luffy's wanted poster. "Monkey D. Luffy! You're under arrest!"

"Yeah! That's a good picture of me, huh?!" Luffy grins, not bothered by the hostility.

"And off the back of my head!" Usopp jumps in with pride.

"It says 'Dead or Alive'...A key distinction." He grins and turns to his sorry excuse for a crew. "Aim the turret!" One of the men moves the rusty cannon towards the boys.

"What's all the noise? What's going on?" Nami questions as she looks up from her paper at the noise the others are making.

"Oh? You're gonna shoot?" Luffy wonders as he watches, and Usopp looks close to fainting.

"They're aiming right at us! This is bad!" Usopp shrieks, and Zoro finally gets up from his nap, grabbing his lonely sword, walking towards them.

"Alright! Leave it to me! I'll bounce it back again!" Luffy grins, winding up.

"Luffy. Let me handle this one." Zoro tells him, stopping Luffy.

"Yeah, yeah! Toy stay back here!" Usopp cries out.

"H-how come?" Luffy asks as Usopp pulls him away.

"'Cause you mess things up. C'mon! Over here!" He warns him and drags him away.

"Tremble and sleep!" Pinky says and gives his men the signal; they fire the cannon, the cannonball launches towards Zoro, who calmly unsheathes his sword, slicing the cannonball in half; it falls into two pieces in the water.

"Awesome!" Luffy marvels at the display.

"Bravo!" I cheer for him.

"That's impossible!" Pinky gasps, and Zoro puts his sword away.

"Don't bother people when they're napping." He scolds them, giving them a glare.

"There's plenty more where that came from! Fire!" Pinky shouts in anger, and they start getting the cannon into position, but you can hear a strange clink as it moves, most likely cracked.

"Huh? This is bad." Luffy mutters.

"It is?!" Usopp begins to panic, and they try firing, but the cracks seem to backfire as it causes an explosion.

"See? There were cracks in the cannon." He comments.

"Yeah, that's definitely bad." Usopp agrees, and they move their ship closer to ours so they can board.

"You damn brats! Don't you dare mock the power of a former Marine HQ Lieutenant! We'll just have to fight you hand-to-hand!" Pinky shouts with rage and jumps over to our side. "Men! Follow me!" His men all raise their swords and charge over, Pinky heading towards Luffy with a raised fist. "Your head is mine!" He punches Luffy in the face, but his rubberiness stretches out his neck, and he comes back.

"Gum-Gum no...Bell!" He shouts as he headbutts Pinky, sending his back a little and Sanji comes out, kicking all the other Marine officers; I get out my special handgun with rubber bullets, hitting them in the forehead, sending them to the floor of their ship along with Sanji. Pinky looks in shock at our display and looks up to see Sanji standing over him and lets out a girlish shriek of horror at the sight of our talented cook.

"You got some real balls, pickin' a fight during mealtime, tough guy. Don't got any soup bowls today. You plannin' to lick the deck or something?" Sanji says menacingly, and Pinky shrieks as he backs away and even his officer's jump overboard.

"W-what's that waiter doing here?!" He yells as he jumps over to his ship then joins his men in the ocean.

"Huh? He's done already?" Luffy huffs with disappointment.

"He was nothing but talk!" Usopp says, and I jump down from the roof, walking to the others.

"He's as damn wimpy as ever." Sanji scoffs; they all seem to know this guy from before.

"C'mon, you guys! Keep it down!" Nami tells us from her seat, still reading the paper. "Honestly! I can't even relax and read a newspaper here!"

"Nami-san! Megumi-chan! I'm finished preparing your meals!" Sanji swoons with happiness.

"Ooh! I'm starving! Let's eat! Food! Food!" Luffy cheers, and I look back at the wrecked Marine ship.

"Scraps belong on the ocean floor," I mutter to myself and pull out a small cherry bomb from my skirt pocket and take out my mother's Zippo lighter, lighting the short wick before throwing it behind me towards the wreck of a Marine ship. It's quiet for a few seconds before there's a small explosion from the ship; the others all shout with alarm, thinking we're under attack again, but stop. I look over my shoulder with a smirk as I watch the ship catch on fire, crackling with flames, sinking slowly into the water.

"Sissy! Was that you?!" Nami shouts as she puts the newspaper down as she gets up, walking over to me, and I turn to her, still smirking.

"What do you mean?" I pretend to act innocent, and she looks at me. "Fine, I did it. I was a little bored, and the ship deserves better than that loser as it's Captain, and it was beyond repair."

"You SCARED me, Demon Woman!" Usopp cries out and points over at me, almost poking my cheek.

"Oops." That is all I can muster up without smirking more.

"So, what was that, exactly?" Zoro asks, and I pull out another of my cherry bombs; it's shaped like a cube instead of a ball, having my own unique spin on all of my bombs.

"It's a cherry bomb, simply to make, and very effective," I answer, putting the cherry bomb back into my pocket.

"My Sister is good with guns and bombs; she makes them herself." Nami boasts with pride in her voice.

"Whoa! That's awesome!" Usopp exclaims. "So, was that what you were doing before? Making bombs?"

"Sort of, I make my own gunpowder before I make my bombs, and I make my own bullets. I don't often use lead, mainly rubber, or sometimes plastic. There are some other ones, but I rarely use them." I answer, and the others all look at me in shock.

"I knew it was a good idea to let you join!" Luffy chuckles, and I can't help the smile at his infectious laugh.

"Come on, we need to eat before the food gets cold." Sanji reminds us, and we head into the kitchen.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

I finish eating the amazing lunch Sanji made us, and Nami gets out her map she stole from some pirate named Buggy. I help clear the plates as Sanji finishes the washing up, and we sit back as she rolls out the made of the Grand Line. "We're finally nearing the Grand Line…" She looks over the map, pointing at the entrance. "It looks like the only way into it is through Reverse Mountain here." She points over. "Right, Sissy?"

"Yep," I answer.

"What a pain. Can't we just sail straight into it?" Zoro asks as he leans back a little.

"Nope. From what he geezer told me, that's the only way boats can enter." Sanji answers before I can.

"How come?" Usopp asks him.

"'Cause, it's supposedly dangerous." He answers vaguely, clearly not knowing himself.

"But how come?!" He demands an answer.

"I don't know any more than that!" He snaps at the sniper.

"It's because-" I try to tell them, but Luffy cuts me off.

"Alright! I got it! Then let's head straight into it!" He suggests with a big grin.

"Are you paying any attention, Luffy?" I ask him as he sits next to me with a big grin on his rubber face.

"But it sounds fun!" He replies, the grin never leaving his face. "Plus, it'd feel way better going straight into it!"

"Talking to you makes me feel like I'm gonna go crazy…." Nami complains a little, looking like she's getting a headache.

"Anyways, let's stop at an island first and get meat!" Luffy suggests.

"Nami and I already talked about this, and we're already heading here," I tell them and point to the small island that resides near the Red Line. "There's a famous city on Polestar Island...Loguetown."

"Loguetown? What? Is it famous for its meat?" He asks a little clueless.

"Also known as the city of the beginning and the end...I'm pretty sure I've heard that before." Zoro adds, and I look over him.

"And you'd be right. Nami said, you like the King of the Pirates. Well, get this, the town where Gold Roger, the old King of the Pirates, was born...and executed." I inform, and the room goes a little stiff for a second.

"The town where the King of the Pirates died…." He mutters, and I turn to look at him, seeing the serious look on his face,

"Wanna go?" I ask him.

"Yeah! I wanna see it! I wanna see the town where the man who got the One Piece, everything this world has to offer, was born and then died!" He looks deadly calm for a second. "Let's head to Loguetown."

"Roger that, Captain," I reply, and Nami rolls up the map, and we start heading back out.

"Raise the anchor!" I wake the following morning abruptly, tumbling to the floor from my bed from Luffy's shouting. I yawn as I pull myself from the floor as Nami finishes getting changed. "Set the sails!" I hear Luffy shout again and walk over to our shared wardrobe, pulling out some green trousers and a pink crop top, feeling a little tired from my rude awakening. I brush out the knots in my long pink hair and fix the fringe before putting on the string wedges.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

Nami drags me up the stairs as I'm still half asleep, and we pass Sanji on his way in and our way out. "Good morning, Nami-san, Megumi-chan!" He greets us with a bright smile.

"What's good about it," I mumble through a yawn, holding myself against the railing for support, still feeling sleepy; I am not a big morning person.

"Hey. hey, Zoro. Let's play tag." Luffy suggests to our First Mate as they crouch in the corner, Zoro clearly doing something, while Luffy bugs him.

"Huh?!" Is all Zoro replies with.

"What, what?! Tag?! Let's play, let's play?!" Usopp runs over giddy, and even I have to say, it sounds fun, but I am still a little tired. I need coffee.

"Are you guys stupid?! You're pathetic, playing at your age!" Zoro snaps at them, finishes what he's doing, and gets to his feet with a yawn. "I'm gonna get some more sleep before breakfast."

"Oh?! 'Cause you don't like losin', huh?!" Usopp pokes at him, trying to get a rise out of him, and it works.

"What did you say?! I don't give a damn about that!" Zoro snaps at them.

"See! You're suddenly mad!" He points out, angering the temperamental swordsman.

"What?!" He growls at them, and they do the smart thing and start running away. "Hold it, you guys!" He starts chasing them as they run around the mainmast.

"But it's the truth, isn't it?! Bleehhh!" Usopp teases him and pulls a funny face at the angry swordsman who runs after him.

"Stop right there!" He orders, but they don't listen.

"I'm over here! Come get me!" He taunts him more.

"C'mon, Zoro! Chase me, too!" Luffy adds as he waves his arms around.

"I'm not playing here!" Zoro snaps at them.

"Nami-san, Megumi-chan! Your meal's ready!" Sanji says as he walks out behind us, his tone all sweet. "Hey, guys! Food's on!" He tells the boys in a rougher tone.

"Yeah!" Luffy cheers.

"Hold it! I'm not done with you!" Zoro snaps at them.

"Even after he said all that…." Nami mumbles, and Sanji and I look at her in surprise.

"Huh? What, Nami-san?" Sanji asks her, and I sling my arm around her shoulder, pulling her in a little.

"No, it's nothing." She assures us. "Whew, I'm hungry!"

"Coffee!" I cheer as I race in with Luffy not far behind me.

"Food! Food! Food!" He cheers along with me.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

I sit down in my place with a large cup of coffee. I've always needed larger quantities of coffee than most people; I love my mug too; Nojiko got it for me on my 17th birthday, the one I actually came home for. It's cute, half pink on the lower part and white on the top half, it says 50% Mermaid on the bottom, 50% Unicorn. Nami always jokes about my swimming skills and beauty. I could be mistaken for a mermaid; she did say this when she was younger and cute. "This looks yum!" Luffy chimes as he sits down next to me, and I take a large gulp of my hot coffee, feeling more awake the more I drink.

"Say, what do you suppose happened to Buggy after that?" Nami brings up randomly as she sits down across from us.

"Buggy?" Luffy asks, clearly forgetting for a second. "Oh, that Buggy?" He starts stuffing his face, and I start eating, scared it'll disappear. "Who knows. Maybe he's at the bottom of the ocean?"

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Zoro says as he walks in with Usopp by the nose. "Pirates are a stubborn lot, every last one of 'em." He lets go of Usopp's poor nose.

"Yeah! You're the one who kept chasing me stubbornly! Oww…" Usopp says as he nurses his nose, and Zoro sits down across from Luffy.

"I hunted pirates for years. I can tell." Zoro says, and Luffy starts taking Usopp's food, stretching out his arm. "Not that it matters, but your food's gone, Usopp."

"Here you are, Nami-san, Megumi-chan." Sanji coos as he places our food in front of us.

"Luffy!" Usopp shouts in disbelief as Sanji places the yoghurt dessert in front of us.

"A Special Yoghurt Dessert!" He announces as he puts them in front of us with a smile.

"You stole my food again!" Usopp cries out in anger.

"Oh! Thank you, Sanji-Kun!" Nami beams at him, digging in.

"Thank you, Sanji." I smile as I fill my cup up again for the third time.

"Give it back, you idiot!" Usopp screams and tries to get his food back; while they are distracted, I steal some of the food from Luffy's still full plate and eat it, causing Nami to giggle, gaining their attention.

"Hey! No fair!" Luffy yells, and I keep eating his food as he pouts.

"What?" I question, batting her eyes trying to come off innocent. I take another piece and place it into my mouth slowly, teasing him.

"Stop it!" He whines, and Usopp sits down, quickly eating the remaining food while Luffy is distracted.

"Okay." I smile as I drink the rest of my coffee, feeling more lively and eating the yummy yoghurt dessert Sanji made for us ladies.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

"Hey, look! A hermit crab!" Luffy announces as I sit reading the newspaper, looking over the biases of the words. World Government, what a load of rubbish. "I wonder when he got on board. At Nami and Megumi's Village?" He wonders, and I look up to see him watching the crab scuttle along the railing.

"Probably. That, or maybe Usopp's village?" Nami suggests as she checks on the tangerine trees.

"If so, that's incredible! That'd mean he's been travelling with us this whole time!" Usopp beams as he maintains the cannon.

"Dammit! Why does this happen to me?!" I hear from above and look over the newspaper, but I don't see anything.

"Did you guys say anything?" I ask them.

"Huh? Me? I didn't say anything." Nami denies.

"Nope." Luffy answers, and Usopp shakes his head.

"Huh? Weird. Must be my imagination." I shrug and go back to the newspaper, having finished my little chores of cleaning all the windows.

"Hey, Luffy! Quit slacking off!" Sanji shouts from the stairs.

"Oh! Sorry! Sorry!" He rushes back to scrubbing the deck.

"So easily distract-ooh! There's a sale on shoes in Loguetown!" I smile and run to Nami to show her; she looks down with a smile.

"So easily distracted." She repeats and points to me; I pout at her.

"This isn't about me." I point at her with her own hand.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

It's finally nighttime, and I lie in my pink silk pyjama set, pulling up my cotton blanket. "Sanji...food…" I hear Luffy mumble from next door in the boy's quarters.

"You just ate...gimme a break…." Sanji replies, likely asleep, like last night.

"Shut up, you guys...I can't sleep…" Zoro grumbles.

"You sleep too much...help out with work sometimes...Sheesh…" Usopp replies.

"I'm amazed they can hold conversations in their sleep," I mutter as I punch my pillow.

"Talk about skilful…." She comments and stands up. "Well, I guess we should hit the hay, too." She turns off the lights and lies down. "Good night."

"Nighty night," I mumble as I stick my face into my pillow, falling asleep. Mmm, sleep.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

I sit on the railing in my pink tee with a white collar and denim jeans, and thick platform black trainers as I clean my pistol, putting it back together. Suddenly Zoro sneezes, causing me to jump a little, not expecting it. "Zoro! Did you finally catch cold after always sleeping on deck?" Luffy asks as he sits on the figurehead.

"I've never gotten sick before. Only injured." He answers as he sits on the other end, leaning against the railing.

"Come to think of it, I've never had a headache myself…." Luffy says, and I click the safety off, checking the parts.

"Same, Nami and Nojiko always got sick," I comment and fire the gun, hearing the boom clearly and put it down.

"Is someone out there talkin' about me being a master swordsman?" Zoro wonders as he looks off.

"Ah, I see. Wait!" Luffy jokes, and there's a loud boom from the other side of the ship where Nami and Usopp are. A pretty purple cloud of smoke plumes up into the air.

"You okay?!" I shout from the front of the ship.

"Yeah!" Nami shouts back, and the smoke soon disappears.

"That's good!" I shout and walk over down the stairs towards them. "Usopp!" I call out.

"I'm okay!" He shouts, and I look at the broken beakers in his hands.

"What were you doing? With my chemicals? No less?" I ask him as I stand over him, and he looks up with a guilty look.

"I-I was wondering if I could replicate your g-gunpowder or make something e-else." He stutters out, and I narrow my eyes at him.

"You should have just asked," I tell him with a smile.

"Really?!" He exclaims in shock.

"Of course, but if you do that again, I will throw you overboard. Are we clear?" I ask him with a sinister look.

"Yep!" He yells, looking as scared as I want.

"Hey, I think I see an island," Zoro announces, and I rush with Luffy, running up the stairs as he stretches his arms, getting there first.

"Eh? Really?!" He exclaims as he lands on the railing, and I nudge into Zoro as I come to a stop. "What island is that?"

"We told you the other day," I tell him, and he looks over, confused as the others join us.

"Huh?" He tilts his head, still a little confused.

"So that's the island where Loguetown is!" Usopp beams as the island come into view.

"It's a pretty big town, right?" Sanji asks.

"Yeah, it's loaded!" I beam as I watch the island grow closer.

"Then it sounds like there might be a marker with fresh ingredients," Sanji says.

"It's cool; they've got so much food," I tell him as I lean backwards, looking at him.

"I'm hittin' up the weapon stores. Being stuck with one sword doesn't suit a Three-Sword-Style user." Zoro says.

"In that case, I guess I'll check out some equipment shops!" Usopp adds.

"And we can shop for clothes!" Nami grins as she looks at me, and I stand up straight with a smile.

"That island is where Gold Roger was born and then executed, right?" Luffy asks, seeming serious.

"Wow, you actually remember!" Nami smiles as she leans against the railing next to me.

"The town where the King of the Pirates died...Also known as the city of the beginning and end…" He says with a solemn look on his face, and we all look ahead.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

We dock the boat away from the port to keep to ourselves, and we reach the city entrance. It's been a while since I've been here, a good few years as I was fencing some stuff to help get some extra money. "Wow! What a huge town!" Luffy beams as he looks around.

"The place used to be full of pirates on their way to the Grand Line. it has everything you could ever need!" Nami informs the boys.

"Alright! I'm gonna go get equipment for our upcoming great adventures!" Usopp says with glee, and I can't help thinking of the things I need and want.

"Looks like I can get some good ingredients here. Good women, too!" Sanji smirks with a flirty smile.

"I got something I wanna buy, too," Zoro mumbles with thought.

"Oh? How are you gonna do that? You're flat broke, as I recall?" Nami points out.

"Alright! I'm gonna check out the execution platform!" Luffy exclaims with happiness. "I'm gonna see where the King of the Pirates was executed!" He starts running away.

"Hey, wait! We still haven't decided where to meet up at!" Usopp tries to call after him, but he's already gone. "Man, that guy…."

"I'll find him later," I tell them, and we split up, Zoro going off for more swords, Usopp going off for new equipment, and Sanji going off to the market. Nami and I go to the shopping district for new clothes.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

We've been to five shops already; I've bought at least seven new outfits and a few accessories. I sit waiting for Nami to come out of the changing room; she peels the curtain open to her, wearing a nice but flashy outfit. "How's this?" She asks.

"Oh! You look wonderful, miss!" The shopkeeper exclaims with fakeness in his voice.

"I like it!" I give her a thumbs-up as I sit, fixing my chunky black high heels, and pulling my black blazer on, making sure my hair isn't caught as she tries on a pretty red dress I found.

"How's this?" She asks as she opens the curtain.

"You look so elegant, Miss!" He says; I grow a little bored, moving from my seat, making sure my black jeans are pulled up with the belt, and my lace black shirt is tucked into my jeans. I look around the shop for more clothes; when I see a white headband with small red horns, I pick it up, placing it on my head as the shopkeeper stacks all of Nami's clothes on the counter. "Will you be purchasing all of these?" He asks her.

"No, I don't want 'em." She lies and walks away from the shop. "I want something that's rougher." She walks off.

"Come again!" He shouts after her.

"Hi, can I get this?" I point to the headband and a few of the tops from the pile.

"Of course, that'll be 15 hundred Berries." He smiles.

"Oh, can't you lower the price a little?" I pout, leaning over the counter; he looks at me a little flustered and smiles.

"Yes, of course, I can lower it to 10 hundred Berries." He smiles, and I pout even more.

"I guess so." I sigh, pushing my breasts further, and his eyes are drawn to them, causing him to blush tomato red.

"I can give you them for 750 Berries!" He yells, fighting off a nose bleed.

"That would be amazing, thank you!" I beam, and he packs the tops into a bag as I place the money on the counter. "Thank you so much; I'll be sure to come back!" I lie as I walk out the door to join Nami.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

I walk outside to see Nami waiting for me, I hand her the bag with a grin, and she accepts it with a smile. "I like the headband; suits you, a little devil." She jokes.

"Thanks, I think so too." I smile as we walk on, looking around the shops at all the clothes and see some fancy jewellery. But I stop seeing a shop more our speed and style, and not all fancy, I pull Nami along.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

I pick out way too many clothes, same as Nami, but it's more in our price range without haggling, and Nami gets to chatting with the shopkeeper. "Captain Smoker?" She says, and I zone back in as I pick out some winter clothes and a cool skateboard; my last one was broken by Arlong for disobeying orders. I look at the skateboard; it's sturdy, the design on the bottom is nice, with its purple and pink flames.

"Yeah. he's one of the toughest guys from Marine Headquarters…" She tells us as she packs our clothes into bags. "This town used to be a hangout for pirates headed for the Grand Line. But ever since he took over, every single pirate who's come into town has wound up in the slammer. His strength is extraordinary. He's a monster. They even say he has Devil Fruit powers…."

"Devil Fruit powers?!" I ask in shock as I walk over; since meeting Luffy, I've wanted to know more about Devil Fruits. "Is he hot?" I can't help myself from asking, and the woman laughs at my straightforwardness.

"Oh, dear, I'd say so! He's strong, of course." She replies, and I smile as she rings up the total,

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

"Why would you ask such a question?" Nami asks as we walk out along the street with our bags.

"I couldn't help myself from asking! Anyway, there's a good book store I want to check out." I tell her, and we head down the street; I look at her. "What, I am 21 years old, I should be interested in more than money, and it's not like you find some men attractive." I point out.

"That's beside the point! You're my Big Sister! You're supposed to be setting an example!" She snaps with a flustered look.

"Come on, they've got some good books on the Grand Line," I tell her as I open the door. "And I'm a good example for you?"

"Nope!"

"Hey!"

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

"Hey, if it isn't Megumi! What are you doing here?" A voice I know too well, from my time here, he's a black market dealer, who owns the bookshop as a front for his black market artefacts you can't sell on the open market.

"Hey Vinny, I'm looking for some books on the Grand Line, my sister's the Navigator, and I need one on Devil Fruits," I tell him as I place the bags on the floor; Nami looks around in shock as Vinny walks over, his flashy appearance hasn't changed, though he looks a little older now, his hair having more grey.

"Sure, anything on the Grand Line?" He asks as he walks over.

"Yeah, one of everything you've got," I tell him.

"Of course, so this is Nami, the girl you told me about." He says as he walks into the aisles.

"Yeah, the troublemaker."

"Hey!" She exclaims at the insult.

"I see, so you need something else?" He asks; I hear the subtext.

"Not at the moment; got a poker game later?" I ask him, and he shakes his head as he walks back with a stack of books.

"Fraid not, there's one in a few days. Big stakes."

"Too bad, we'll be gone most likely, seeing as our Captain is a massive trouble magnet." I sigh, wanting to play a good game.

"Sorry, Kid, so these books are on the open market, I don't have many on Devil Fruits, but I can find you something on the other market." He suggests.

"Sounds good; I want to be prepared," I tell him, and he nods.

"Sure, Kid. Anything else?" He asks.

"No...actually, do you know about Smoker, the Marine Captain? I don't remember him from last time?" I ask him.

"Oh, you barely missed him last time; you were here for a while, though, but well, he's a stiff bastard; most of my clients get caught by him. He's strong; his Devil Fruit is an interesting one. He's smoke." He informs us, and I pick up one of the books, flipping through the book, looking quickly.

"I see, that could be a problem for our Rubber Man Captain," I mutter and hand over the money.

"Good doing business with you; I'll be sure to find you the other books."

"Thanks, Vinny." I pick up the books with Nami's help, and we head out.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

"So, you know him well?" Nami asks as we stop for some food.

"Yeah, he works on the black market; you can't always fence some items because they're stolen. And I'm a thief and a pirate." I smirk and sit down outside the cosy cafe.

"I never knew you knew about all this." She mutters, and I smile.

"Enjoy the books, and I'll enjoy mine, and anyway, I'm well travelled." I point out and pick up the book on Devil Fruits. "Huh. there are three types." I look over to look at Nami, who is ignoring me. "If he's smoke, that means he's a Logia type, which he's harder to beat."

"Did you say something?" Nami asks, and I sigh.

"Nope." I put the book back in the bag, and we order our food.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

"We bought a lot! Maybe we should hit another store!" Nami suggests as we walk along and come across wanted posters of Luffy and me.

"The Marines?" I sigh as I look at the posters and see the base; II push Nami back as I see someone inside coming to the open door.

"Dammit, how'd I get stuck doing this?!" Zoro mutters to himself, and I shake my head at him.

"Zoro's...working for the Marines?" Nami questions as she peeks around me.

"Just pretend you didn't see anything.…." I tell her and push her onwards down the street.

"We are surrounded by idiots." She groans, and I laugh.

"Tell me about it." I chuckle, and I see we're by the weapon shops; I look to see a semi-automatic pistol, "I need this!"

"What is with you and guns?" She asks.

"You can never have enough guns," I tell her and walk into the shop.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

I walk back out with the gun; I load the magazine with my roulette bullets, one of each, tranquillizers, rubber, lead, poison, salt, and exploding bullets; I put them in random order and put the gun next to my other one in the back of my jeans. "I really don't get the point of you having over a dozen guns," Nami complains as we walk on, and it seems people are excited about something.

"What can I say? I like guns; they're cool and useful." I tell her.

"A showdown?" A man says as he races past us.

"There's gonna be a showdown?" Another says as they run past us.

"Did he say Daddy the Father?" I ask, and she nods.

"He's the greatest gunslinger bounty hunter, right?" She asks as we follow them.

"Yeah, everyone in the East Blue knows that," I reply as we make it to the showdown with the crowd gathering faster. "I wonder what idiot challenged him to a duel; I mean, I'm good, but I wouldn't be stupid enough to challenge him," We make it to the front and low and behold, it's our cowardly sniper.

"That one," Nami grumbles.

"Good luck, long nose!" One of the men shouts.

"Don't worry if he beats ya! We already got a place dug for ya!" Another man shouts.

"The rules are simple. We both walk 10 paces and then shoot." Daddy the Father informs Usopp, who looks close to passing out.

"Y-yeah..." He stutters.

"What are you doing?!" Nami shouts at the sniper.

"Nami! Megumi!" He exclaims with some relief.

"Fighting Daddy the Father in a duel...are you an idiot?!" He shouts, and I try to hide, seeing as I'm a wanted woman.

"S-shut up! Things just turned out this way! Shut up and watch!" He shouts back at her.

"You get one shot. Are you ready?" The little blond lolita doll asks.

"Yeah." Daddy the Father answers calmly.

"Y-yeah." Usopp stutters.

"One!" She shouts, and they both take a step apart, though Usopp looks unsteady. "Two! Three! Four! Five! Six! Seven! Eight!" Usopp spins around and throws a small smoke bomb onto the floor, and makes a break for it.

"Bye, now!" he shouts as he runs, Daddy the Father shoots his gun out of his hand, and I see the number of guns under his covering and strapped across his body.

"And you say I have an obsession," I mutter as we watch, and Usopp falls to his knees, and the little lolita girl runs over to Daddy the Father.

"Papa! You're amazing, Papa! You're so cool!" She exclaims as she clings onto him.

"Man, how pathetic!" "What a lame duel." "I thought he'd have more guts than that. What a disappointment." The crowd says as they walk away, leaving us alone.

"I only shot his gun away." Daddy the Father points out.

"What's with you?! Trying to cheat like that! You coward! Weakling! Can't you even fight, honestly?!"The green Lolita scolds him; she's just a kid.

"I-I'm sorry! Forgive me! I'm just a lowly, pathetic man! Taking the life of someone like me wouldn't gain you anything! Right? Right? Couldn't you just peacefully let me go?" Usopp begs, and he pulls out a gun, aiming it at our cowardly sniper. Nami rushes forward, putting herself in front of him.

"Nami!" I hiss as I stand away, not wanting to draw attention to myself.

"W-wait!" She stutters a little as she stands in front of Usopp.

"Nami!" He cries out in relief. "Y-yeah! If it's money you want, she has tons of it! Just please don't shoot me! Please spare my life!"

"Hold on, now!" Nami snaps at him.

"Oh? So you're trying to hide behind a woman?" Daddy the Father questions, smudging his honour, and it seems to strike something in the coward.

"In any case-." Nami tries to say, but he gets to his feet and pushes her to the side, and I pull her over to me.

"No! Forget what I just said! She's just an innocent bystander who has nothing to do with this! Even if I wind up getting shot, I can't let her get caught up in this!" He says with passion.

"Usopp…" We mumble in surprise at his words.

"Please! I beg you!" He says, but Daddy the Father cuts him off.

"'Usopp'... is your name Usopp, boy?" He asks him.

"Yeah." He answers.

"It couldn't be...do you know a man named Yasopp of the Red-Haired Pirates?" He asks, and I look at Usopp, seeing as he talks about his old man occasionally.

"Yasopp? That's my old man's name. Y-you've met my dad before?" He asks him, growing interest.

"I see. So you are his son…" He mutters, and it's eerily quiet except for the girl whispering his name.

"I've never once told a soul what happened on that day...but you're the exception. It happened at a hot, dry port town, much like this one." He says and starts recounting the memory of meeting Yasopp and who they duelled each other, shooting each other, though Daddy Masterson was the loser in this case. How Yasopp spared him and even told him about his beloved son.

"So that's why a Marine elite turned to bounty hunting…." Nami comments with a smile, sort of reminding us of our dear former Marine mother.

"Papa! You lost to a pirate, Papa? He spared your life? Say it isn't true, Papa!" The kid cries, pulling at his cloak.

"But that's amazing! Your dad must be really skilled! He even beat Daddy!" Nami tries to cheer up our sniper.

"Plus, he hasn't forgotten about you. Even now, when he's living out an adventure, he has an image of you etched in his memory." I comment as I walk over, and he pushes us away.

"Yeah. I can understand how you'd feel…" Nami says, due to his eyes welling up with tears.

"No! That's not why...that's not why I'm crying! Would you normally do that?! Would you normally tell some pathetic boy like me a story about you shamelessly having your life spared?! You told me that to give me courage! Most people would be vain and keep a story like that secret! You told me even though you knew it'd make you less cool! Regardless of how brave my old man might be! Right?! Weaklings or cowards could never do that!" He says with such emotion. "Carol!" He looks over at the little girl. "Your dad is the bravest man alive! You can find strong guys any old place! But I've never seen a man as strong and kind as your dad before! I...I can't give in, either! I gotta be brave, or I'll shame your dad!" He wipes the unshed tears away. "Daddy! Give me a chance! Fight me in another life or deathmatch! I won't cheat anymore!" He pleads with such determination.

"All right. This will be our real match. Choose the weapon you're most skilled with." He replies, and Usopp quickly opens his man-purse and pulls out his slingshot. "Good. Now, then. Let's see... " He looks off towards the town and points to the far building with a whale weathervane. "Try and hit that weathervane." He says.

"Weathervane? That?!" Usopp gasps as he looks at how far away it is.

"Miss it, and... " Daddy threatens him, drawing his gun, pointed right at his head.

"Y-yeah! You can shoot me right through the heart!" He agrees.

"Usopp!" Nami exclaims, and I pull her back.

"My life is on the line for real this time!" He says and pulls the band back.

"There's...there's no way he can shoot that far with that thing…." Carol whispers, looking nervous for him.

"Don't underestimate our sniper," I mutter with a smile as he stiffly readies for himself, and the church bells ring, and he lets go, the pellet flying in the air, I look closely as it shoots through the crown of the whale, and I smile proudly.

"He missed!" Carol gasps and clings to her father. "No, Papa! Don't shoot him! Papa!" She begs him, and he gets over his shock, seeing it too.

"He can't shoot him," I tell her as I clap Usopp on the shoulder.

"Usopp shot right through its crown." He adds, and Nami gets out her telescope in shock.

"H-he really did! Right through the crown!" Nami exclaims.

"Usopp!" Carol cheers; I see Usopp fall to his knees in shock.

"You're an excellent shot. I'd expect no less of Yasopp's son. Never forget that bravery. Someday you will become like your father! Go to the Grand Line. I'm certain Yasopp is there." He tells him.

"Daddy…" Usopp mutters in shock, and Carol rushes over to him, giving him some cool new goggles.

"You're pretty good, old man!" She teases him.

"Thanks." He replies, taking them in hand.

"It's okay! So long!" She waves. "Papa!" She giggles.

"Carol, you know that's not right. It's poor manners to say, 'so long!'" He lightly scolds her.

"Yeah! I'm sorry, Papa! I'm going to grow up to be a nice lady worthy of being your daughter!" She says as they walk away.

"You're already plenty nice as you are now!" He assures her.

"I'm going to be an even nicer lady!" She says, and they stop.

"Treasure Hunter Megumi! I won't arrest you now, but that won't stop Smoker." He warns me.

"Yeah, I figured! Thanks!" I yell back. "Even when people say he's a disgrace behind his back now, he's fought all this time to protect the one he loves," I comment.

"I'm going to be a brave man like Daddy, too! I'm gonna become a real warrior and stand before my dad someday!" Usopp exclaims and looks over at his achievement. "I'm certain of it!"

"I'm sure of it! Come on, crybaby, let's go look around some more." I suggest, and we grab our things and head down back into the town.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

We somehow make it to the food market, where there's a large crowd gathering. I look around to see cooks; it must be the annual cooking contest; we try looking around from the back. "Now, the annual Cooking Championship festivities are about to start!" A voice announces as we walk over.

"We have famous cooks from around the East Blue gathered here!" Another voice says through the speakers.

"What a crowd! I wonder what's going on…" Nami says as she tries peeking over.

"It's the Cooking Championship," I tell her, and we start pushing to the front.

"This year's prize is an elephant bluefin tuna!" They announce. "It's a treasure of the ocean and miracle food! Who will earn the 'East Blue's No. 1' title and win the elephant bluefin tuna!?" We finally made it to the front.

"Hey! Hold on a sec! Look! Look at that!" Nami exclaims and points ahead of us.

"That's Sanji!" Usopp yells.

"Yeah!" I beam, glad to see our cook showing off his skills.

"Hey! Hey! Sanji!" Usopp shouts, trying to gain his attention.

"Sanji-Kun!" Nami yells.

"Sanji!" I yell with them, and it seems the female voice gets his attention.

"Nami-san! Megumi-chan! You came to give me your support?!" He beams as he floats over here.

"Not really. We were just passing by." Nami corrects him.

"But why in the heck are you participating in a competition like this?" Usopp asks him.

"Oh, Usopp. I didn't realise you were here." Sanji says as he looks at the sniper standing behind us.

"I was the one who called out to you first!" He snaps at the cook.

"Now it's time to start the championship! These're the judges! Also, to be fair, we asked Sam-san, a member of the general audience on his way home from a wedding party, to join the judges!" The announcer says, and I look over to see the man, who looks a little drunk. "Are you ready, Sam-san? Sam-san?"

"Let's go!" Sam cheers.

"The rules are simple. First, each cook will compete against another. Whoever receives a higher total score from the judges wins. And whoever remains undefeated through all the matches will be the East Blue's glorious No.1 cook! Well then, we'll now start the first round! The first match is Shoo the Lizard from the easternmost extremity versus Eoccoll, representing Loguetown!" He announces, and I look over at them; they both seem confident. "Now, ready...start!" He slams the ladle into a large pot.

"What, Sanji? You're interested in becoming the East Blue's No.1?" Usopp asks him in surprise.

"Don't be stupid; it's nothing like that. I just want to cook that fish." He replies and points over to the large fish on display.

"Fish?" Usopp mutters and looks over.

"Oh yeah, that fish does look different from others." Nami comments.

"It's from the South Blue, isn't it?" I question, and Sanji smiles with a nod.

"Yeah, it is. Though that fish's secret can't be obtained so easily…" He mumbles to himself, and we look at him with confusion, but he's a cook on a whole other level. Eoccoll won the first match, they really take this competition seriously. Sanji was in the next match and, of course, won with flying colours. The next match was between a woman named Carmen and another man. She was declared the winner; she's kinda strange, always laughing, but a good cook. Two more rounds for the first half, then Sanji comes up against Eoccoll, but comes out the winner of the match then it's Carmen against some other guy in the next match, and she wins, now it seems both Sanji and Carmen are the victors as they come to the final match.

"And at last, the final match!" He announces, and the crowd erupts into cheers.

"Hey, people're really excited!" Usopp comments.

"Yeah," Nami replies.

"I'm surprised they're not all hungry; watching all this food sure is making me hungry," I complain a little, rubbing my belly.

"Man, when did you become like Luffy?" Nami giggles.

"Hey!"

"With his remarkable cooking sense and skills, Sanji won through to the final!" The crowd break out into cheers.

"Yeah! That's our cook!" I cheer along with them.

"With her gorgeous dance and cooking skills, Carmen has kept crushing others!" The crowd cheers again. "Which one will win the glorious elephant bluefin tuna?!" I watch Sanji try to gain Carmen's attention, but she just looks away. "The anticipated final match starts now!" He rings the pot, and they start cooking; Carmen already laughing maniacally as she peels the carrots. "There she goes! Carmen's cooking looks showy at first glance, but what she's actually doing is quite simple. Also, her opponents get confused by those two in front and lose their pace, but how is Sanji doing?" We turn to look; he's cool and calm. "He's not affected! Far from that, he's exhibiting amazing knife skills!" Carmen looks a little annoyed, and I look over to see Nami and Usopp beaming. "Contender Sanji is silently proceeding with the preparation at his own pace!" Sanji seems overly calm, deep in thought as Carmen is dancing around the kitchen. "Now it looks like Sanji is starting to finish up!" I watch as Sanji starts speeding a little around the kitchen as Carmen starts putting plates down on the table, though she does it with a little spin. "Carmen is also close to the end! Looks like all she has to do is dish it out! The championship is reaching a climax. Who will win the elephant bluefin tuna?!" Sanji throws his dish high into the air as he grabs two plates in one hand, catching them with ease. "The decision...will be made soon!" The crowd cheers. "He did it!" The crowd cheers even louder. "Contender Sanji completed it! And here is contender Carmen! Looks like she's completed it, too!" The crowd cheers again. "The dishes are all completed now! Who will win the crown?!" He says over the cheering crowd, and the judges taste the food; it's all tense while the judges confer with each other.

"Well then, here goes." The one in the pink shirt says he holds a piece of paper with the winner's name written on it. "The winner of this year's Cooking Championship is...San-"

"Wait!" Carmen shouts before he can finish, and we all look at her in shock as she gets up from her seat, walking over to Sanji, who stops smoking to look at her. "I can't forgive…" She pauses. "I can't forgive myself!"

"What?!"

"I always wanted to compete against you someday. So I've trained like crazy! I wanted to be on a level with you...but ten years later...your dream hasn't changed! I can't forgive myself for being stupid enough to think that I could defeat you. You win...your dishes are delicious. You're the No.1 cook in the East Blue, Sanji." She confesses, seeming really heartfelt, but Sanji has to be an idiot and ruin the tender moment.

"Oh…" He gets to his feet and spreads his arm out with a goofy look on his face. "To think that Carmen-san is giving me such a compliment…I'm so happy!" He exclaims, and her apprentice comes to her rescue, smacking the idiot in the face with a frying pan.

"Don't you dare!" He shouts, and Sanji kicks him away.

"What'd you do that for?!" He screams, and I can't help but laugh.

"No.1 Idiot." I giggle.

"I'll withdraw for now, but be prepared when we meet next time! I definitely won't lose." She challenges him.

"Yeah. if it's a challenge from you, I'll happily accept it any time." He accepts happily.

"The winner is...contender Sanji!" He announces, and the crowd cheers.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

We start heading back to the Going Merry with Sanji's prize Elephant Bluefin Tuna and all our shopping. "Ah! That was fun! I don't know why but today was a day of face-offs." Nami comments as we walk ahead of the boys and the fish.

"Hey, why am I carrying the heavier part?!" Usopp shouts at Sanji as I go to reply, and it seems Sanji isn't listening to him.

"Tell me about it; I don't think it's finished yet." I shrug, and Nami comes to a stop, looking at the sky. "What's wrong, Baby Sister?"

"The air has changed.…." She replies.

"Air?" Usopp repeats, looking around.

"It's gonna rain." She announces.

"Huh? When the weather is nice like this?" He questions.

"I wouldn't doubt her; it's always right about the weather," I warn them. "Let's hurry."

"Huh? Hey…!" Usopp calls out as we speed off.

"Wait! Luffy and Zoro!" I come to a stop. "I'll go ahead and find them!" I drop my shopping onto Usopp and Sanji before running off down the street, but it feels as if they're moving in different directions but close enough together. Luffy seems to have come to a stop, but Zoro is circling around. Probably got lost again. I stop in my tracks and take a deep breath and focus on Zoro and Luffy, trying to get a clear picture as to where they are. I snap my eyes open and run, knowing where to head because my stomach is starting to knot together; something bad will happen; I can feel it.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

I keep running down the street; I seem to be heading for the execution platform in the centre of town. I stop as Marines run past me. "They're going to execute Straw Hat Luffy!" Someone shouts, and I move into the building and head for the roof; I run across the roofs, heading for the centre of the town, seeing the clouds growing darker and larger. I make it to the plaza and stop, taking off my blazer, taking out my two sidearms, and taking out the reassembling rifle.

"Yeah, I think Nami's right; I really do have a problem," I mutter to myself as I reassemble the rifle and place the scope, looking through to see Luffy on the execution platform, his head on the block with no chance of an escape and some clown I recognise as Buggy from his wanted poster. I line up my shot with Buggy, watching along with the massive crowd. I look around to see some more pirates, most likely Buggy's mischief crew, and another stunning black-haired woman, who seems out of place amongst the riff-raff.

"I'm sorry. I won't do it again. Please save me." Luffy says to Buggy, not meaning a word.

"Why would I save you, idiot?!" He shouts in anger. "Since you have a big audience, do you wanna say something before you die?" He asks, and Luffy doesn't look happy about Buggy's foot on his precious hat. "Well, that's okay. Whether you wanna say something or not doesn't matter since you're gonna die."

"I'm the man who'll be King of the Pirates!" Luffy shouts, and I watch with shock, my finger near the trigger, and I can't help the smile that comes across my lips. His words echo around the plaza, and the crowd all stand in silence.

"Idiot," I whisper with a smile.

"Wha…" "K-King of the Pirates, he said?!" "In this town, of all places…" "That's a crazy thing to say…"" The crowd mumble amongst themselves, and I look back through the scope, ready to shoot.

"Well then, I guess I'll do it now...you damn rubber." Buggy grins and raises the sword as Luffy tries to wiggle free.

"Stop…" I hear two familiar voices, and I look over to see who it is. "...the execution!" Zoro and Sanji standing at one of the entrances of the plaza.

"About time," I mutter to myself.

"Zoro! Sanji!" Luffy yells with relief.

"Where's Megumi? You said she went ahead?" Zoro asks the cook, and I use my laser pointer to discreetly show them.

"See that?" Sanji asks, and I do it again.

"Yeah, looks like she's waiting for something." He mutters, and I go at it again. "Shame on you!" Zoro shouts to Luffy. "There's a limit to how much you can fool around, Luffy."

"If you're starting a sideshow, let me join you. What we have to do for now is drive those damn pirates away?" Sanji comments, and I turn back, lining up Buggy, but stop, looking down at the goon squad by the platform, too many for Sanji and Zoro both to handle.

"P-pirate hunter Zoro!" Someone in the crowd yells, and the crowd disperses in fear.

"Sanji! Zoro!" Luffy grins with happiness.

"So you're here, Zoro! But you are a little too late!" Buggy shouts and raises his sword higher.

"We'll bring down...the execution platform!" The boys shout, and I start aiming for the goons.

"Guys...get them!" The lady shouts, and they start running for Sanji and Zoro.

"We'll get them! Big Sis Alvida!" They shout and start to collide; I shoot a few down that sneak up on Zoro while his back is turned.

"Out of our way!" Zoro snaps, and he looks back as I shoot another; they fall to the ground, groaning.

"Who the hell is doing that?!" Alvida shouts, and I shoot next to her food, making her step back.

"Thanks, Pinky!" Zoro shouts as he runs off; I shoot another in front of him and keep an eye on Sanji as he goes.

"Not even Zoro can stop me now! This is the end of your Captain!" Buggy shouts, and I move up and pull the trigger, but it jams; I smack it in frustration, trying to unjam the rifle.

"Damn bastard! Megumi-chan, shoot him!" Sanji shouts as he keeps kicking,

"I can't!" I shout, giving away my position as I try fixing my rifle, which's never jammed up before.

"Zoro! Sanji! Megumi! Usopp! Nami!" Luffy shouts, and I stop, looking up at him to see him smiling a big ass grin. "Sorry. I'm...dead."

"Moron!" I snap, and I try shooting again, but it's too late as the sword is millimetres from his next, but I see the crackle of lightning from the blade. I can't help the smile as a large flash blinds me for a second as a massive bolt of lightning hits the execution platform, settling it a light, Buggy seeming to get the brunt of it as the metal creaks before falling off on its side. I look on in shock as it starts to rain; I look as Luffy stands completely fine, minus his hat that floats down onto the ground, and he picks it back up, putting it on his head with a laugh.

"I'm still alive after all!" He laughs. "I got lucky."

"Lucky? More like divine intervention." I mutter as I pack my rifle away, needing the discretion to get away before the Marines find my position. I put my blazer back on, though it's soaking wet from the rain, and I climb down the drainpipe.

"H-hey, do you believe in god?" Sanji asks as Luffy walks over to them.

"Phew, lucky me." Luffy grins as he walks over.

"Stop talking nonsense." Zoro snaps at him. "Let's get out of this town already!"

"I was worried what was going to happen for a while." Luffy chuckles, and I jump down to the ground, making sure my equipment is all still there. Seems so. I walk over to the boys as I carefully keep my hands on my guns.

"Another trouble seems to be brewing," Zoro warns us, and it comes true as hoards of Marines come from all around us, circling around us.

"Yeah!" They scream as they stand around us.

"Here they come!" I shout and get out my guns.

"Amazing! Amazing! It's somehow gotten crazy!" Luffy exclaims as he dodges flying pirates. "Amazing! Ahh! Amazing!" I knock into him as Zoro comes over.

"Luffy! Megumi!" He calls as he grabs the back of Luffy's vest, spooking him a little.

"Ahh...Z-Zoro!" Luffy yells a little and looks back at the swordsman.

"This is no time to be excited! We need to get out of here!" He warns him.

"We'd better hurry back to the ship, or we'll never be able to leave the island." Sanji points out.

"We won't be able to enter the Grand Line, either!" I add as I fire another shot, taking down another Marine. Man, my mother must be annoyed at my decision to turn pirate, but let's be fair, her daughters are wild cards.

"What?! That's not good!" Luffy exclaims, and we break out into a run.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

"The Straw Hat gang is running away!" A Marine officer shouts.

"Capture them! Go after them!" Another Marine officer shouts, and more try cutting us off, but the boys and I knock them down, continuing running. I pull out one of my grenades.

"Megumi! What are you doing?!" Zoro yells as he sees the grenade.

"I'm causing a distraction; it's only a dummy!" I shout and pull out the clip, throwing it back. "I think!" I laugh as I hear the Marines shouting for cover in fear as the grenade lands in front of them. "Bye!" It explodes into purple laughing gas, gives a good laugh and scare.

"That was awesome!" Luffy laughs as we run,

"It's laughing gas! Completely harmless gives a good scare!" I laugh, wishing I'd brought my new skateboard; I'd gotten earlier today. All this running is getting annoying.

"We'd better hurry, or we'll be in trouble!" Zoro reminds us for the tenth time.

"We're gonna make it to the Grand Line like this!" Luffy ignores him.

"That's the tenth time you've said that! Shut up. Greenie!" I snap as we keep running, my wet hair clinging to my face.

"Greenie! Yeah, well, shut up, Pinky!" He snaps back.

"Totally originally!"

"Hey, leave Megumi-chan alone!" Sanji snaps at him.

"Both of you shut up! Come on, we need to go this way!" I snap and turn harshly down a side street, as the movement of the Going Merry is steady, meaning they haven't made it back to the ship yet.

"What's with this storm?!" Zoro shouts.

"If we don't leave soon, we'll be stuck here. Nami-san was right when she said we should hurry back to the ship!" Sanji comments.

"Nami usually is right about the weather!" I agree.

"Run! Run! Run!" Luffy shouts as he runs in front of us.

"Which direction is the sea?!" Zoro asks.

"I can't tell where we're going because of this heavy rain!" Luffy replies.

"Just keep heading this way; the Going Merry's up ahead!" I tell them.

"There they are!" Marines shout from behind us.

"What persistent bastards! Should we stop and fight?" Zoro asks.

"We don't have time for that." Sanji points out.

"I've got an idea." I slow down enough to fall behind Zoro and Sanji; I jump onto Sanji's back, making him falter a little. "Don't stop!" I pull out my gun as I hook my arm around his shoulders, keeping myself secure as I start shooting at them; they're mainly rubber, but with each hit, they fall.

"Who's that lady?!" Sanji swoons, and I look over to see a woman standing in the way with her head down.

"I didn't realise you're Roronoa Zoro and a pirate to boot. You...you lied to me!" She snaps and looks up, making us come to a stop.

"What?! What'd you do to her?!" Sanji demands with anger, and I hop off of his back.

"You didn't ask my name. That's all. It's not that I lied to you." Zoro replies as he steps in front of us.

"A rogue like you can't be allowed to own a renowned sword! I'll collect your sword, the legendary Wado Ichimonji!" She demands.

"Try it." He challenges her, she unsheathes her sword, and he does, stepping towards each other, clashing blades.

"You jerk! How dare you attack a lady!" Sanji shouts at our First Mate.

"Please don't interfere!" She shouts.

"What?" Sanji mutters in shock.

"This is the fight between Roronoa and me! There's no need to step in!" She snaps.

"You heard her. Go on ahead." Zoro agrees.

"Let's go." Luffy nods and runs past them, and I drag Sanji with me.

"Hey, Zoro! If you hurt the lady, I won't forgive you!" He threatens him, and we run off.

"Greenie! Head straight!" I shout back as we run ahead.

"I see the exit! The harbour is up there!" Luffy shouts over the harsh rain.

"Hey, who is it this time?" Sanji complains, and I look over to see someone standing in our way. He's muscular, tall with white hair, smoking two cigars. It must be the famous Captain Smoker.

"You're finally here...Straw Hat Luffy...and Treasure Hunter Megumi...didn't I tell you that you can't enter the Grand Line unless you beat me first?" He questions and I raise an eyebrow at him; he's really intense.

"Oh yeah. I forgot about it." Luffy grins.

"You're such an airhead.…." He mutters.

"Hey, Luffy…" Sanji says, leaning over to him.

"Sanji, Megumi, go on ahead. I'll be right there." He tells us.

"Well, I don't know about that. This is the end for you." He steps towards us.

"Go!" He shouts, and I lean in close to Luffy's ear.

"Luffy, he ate the Plume-Plume Fruit; he's made of smoke," I warn him and break into a run with Sanji next to me. "Don't die!" I shout back as we run. "Come on! The Merry's moving!"

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

Sanji and I make it to the harbour with the Going Merry moving slowly along the coastline with Nami and Usopp aboard, though the Marines shooting is a total pain. "Nami-san!" Sanji shouts as we try to keep up.

"Sanji-Kun! Sissy!" Nami shouts back with relief.

"Sanji! Megumi!" Usopp shouts.

"Nami-san, we're back!" Sanji shouts.

"Where're Luffy and Zoro?" She asks.

"They got caught up along the way!" I tell her.

"Guys! Behind you!" They warn us as the Marines grow closer; Sanji stops, kicking them down.

"Dammit! This is endless!" He curses as more pop up.

"Just start running, get the Merry closer!" I shout and pull out my gun, shooting as I run with Sanji.

"No! We can't head back to land because of the strong current." Nami points out, and Usopp jumps overboard as the Marines circle around us.

"Bastards!" He shouts and pops in the water, shooting some of the Marines down, helping take the number down.

"Sissy! Usopp! Sanji=kun!" Nami calls out after us.

"Just a minute!" I snap as a Marine gets too close for me to shoot and I pistol whip him around the face. Suddenly a strong wind blows towards us; I try to stay firmly on the ground, but it's too strong, and we all get swept up in the strong wind current.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

I groan as I scrunch my eyes shut, feeling something soft underneath me, I open them to see I'm lying on top of Luffy; I quickly sit up as he sits up as well. "Th-this is…" Zoro groans from behind us.

"Wh-what just happened?" Luffy questions as he sits up.

"Ow!" I groan as I stand to my feet, the rubble moving off of my legs, definitely gonna have some bruises.

"Megumi!" I hear Nami cry out, and I look over to see the Going Merry further out to sea thanks to the strong wind. "Luffy!"

"Nami!" I shout back as I jog to the end of the harbour.

"We'd better hurry up, or the ship will be swept away!" Sanji points out and starts running to the left while Luffy runs to the right; we stop as we watch him as he jumps, latching onto a fallen ladder.

"Gum-Gum no…" He shouts, pulling back, stretching out his arms.

"Wha..?!" Usopp shouts in fear.

"W-wait!" Sanji shouts.

"I have a bad feeling…." Zoro says.

"Oh no…" I mutter.

"...Rocket!" He lets go of the bar, slingshotting towards us, we try to run, but it's too late as he collides into us, sending us towards the ship while screaming.

ONE PIECE - LOGUETOWN ARC

We fly towards the ship, landing into the sail and fall to the floor. Luckily for me, I fall on top of the boys; though it doesn't soften the blow as much, I can't help the groan of pain as I lie on the Going Merry. "Everyone…" Nami smiles at us; I get up, stepping on Zoro's back, making him groan out in pain and stretch, feeling the appearance of more bruises.

"Man, I ache all over," I complain as the boys get to their feet, though the storm around us isn't helping as the ship rocks violently side to side.

"Ugh! It's almost like the ship's gonna tip over!" Luffy complains when we make our way to the bow of the ship.

"Look at that light!" Nami announces, and I look over to see the lighthouse.

"Is that a lighthouse on the island?" Usopp asks as he keeps hugging the mast.

"It's a 'guiding light.' The entrance to the Grand Line lies ahead of that light." I explain as I lean on the railing with Nami hugging my shoulders and Luffy standing next to us.

"The Grand Line is ahead of that light... " Luffy grins.

"What do you wanna do?" Nami asks him as if it's not obvious.

"B-but there's no reason to enter during a storm like this…." Usopp suggests.

"It's only going to get worse the closer we get to Reverse Mountain," I tell him.

"Oh! Why'd you have to say that!" He cries.

"Come on, Scaredy, don't cry about it; if you want, we'll hold your hand." I tease him.

"Leave me alone, Demon Woman!" He snaps, growing flustered.

"Okay then! Shall we hold a launching ceremony for setting sail on the great ocean?" Sanji asks as he moves one of the water barrels to the middle of the deck.

"Yeah!" Zoro agrees, walking over.

"Hey!" Luffy grins as he rushes over.

"Let's do it!" Nami pulls me along, and I stand between her and Luffy.

"In order to find the All Blue!" Sanji says and places the heel of his left foot onto the top of the barrel.

"In order to be King of the Pirates!" Luffy joins him, placing his foot on next.

"In order to become a master swordsman!" Zoro goes next and places his food next.

"In order to draw a world map!" Nami says and puts her foot on next.

"In order to find the greatest treasure and watch Nami accomplish her dream!" I go next, placing my foot onto the barrel, leaving just Usopp to go.

"I-in order...to become a brave warrior of the sea!" He stutters and places his foot in; I look at our feet on the barrel with a smile; we really are an odd crew of pirates.

"We're going...to the Grand Line!" Luffy shouts, and we raise our legs info the air.

"YEAH!" We shout and crash our feet down onto the water barrel shattering it into pieces. We've got a long way to go, but I can't wait for the adventure!

NEXT ON MY TREASURE HUNTER…

"The Grand Line!" Luffy cheers as they sail up Reverse Mountain.

"What the HELL is that!" Megumi shouts as they sail down Reverse Mountain to see a large black all blocking their way.

"Where are we?" Nami asks as she looks around the sky on the Going Merry, popping on the green liquid beneath them.

"Hey! I didn't know!" Megumi defends herself as Nami glares at her. "I go on my so-called Finder Power!"
