Hey! So, after I uploaded the last chapter I actually had something bothering me a little bit about Sasuke being Konoha's honeytrap because what I wanted didn't really fit into the chapter as I was writing it. I think I might continue to put these little exerts into the story and label them Extra's
Chapter 4, EXTRA
Sasuke the Kunoichi?
After everyone had left and Naruto was thankfully passed on her ability to successfully seduce a target, she and Sasuke were the only ones who remained in the abandoned classroom. Kurenai, who was short on time, requested they leave the keys in the principal's office before they leave.
Naruto sat on top of the teacher's desk, high enough to casually swing her legs. "So Sasuke, what made you decide to go into kunoichi work? It's not really men who typically handle seduction missions." Naruto stopped for a brief second and idly wondered if that was offensive.
"Not that there's anything wrong with more men doing it! I think it's actually really cool of you!" She beamed and nodded. Yes, that's better, she agreed with herself.
Sasuke remained silent. He had been reading a copy of the report Kurenai had written assessing Naruto's progress, hoping she wouldn't mention his input in his friend's training. Unfortunately, Kurenai being ever so thorough, had written in extraordinary detail about his approach to training.
"Sasuke?" Naruto continued to chime, and with a sigh, he rolled the too-long scroll up. "It's not like it started that way, Dobe." He informed her.
"I had originally attended to stick to myself while I figured out whether the Shinobi world had changed since the war." He started. "It just so happened that no matter where I went, annoying people who were overly friendly wouldn't shut up telling me about their woes and state of affairs." He shrugged as if it were nothing.
"That was it? That's anticlimactic." Naruto complained, looking thoroughly put out. She gave him her best dubious look, "come on, that can't be all! There must be more details to it than this!"
Sasuke wouldn't respond, but with more probing from Naruto, he let out a characteristic che and relented to share more of his journeys. "After a while, I had gotten used to it and even found out some very delicate information at times. It began to annoy me when people would stop blabbering once knowledge of who I would come out. Eventually, I wrote to Kakashi because of my useful position, and I started formally working in the field. Happy?" Sasuke asked blandly.
Naruto shook her head. "No way! It's still so open-ended. I thought you hated people that talk too much!" Naruto exclaimed. Sasuke resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "I hate idiots who talk about nothing. This became something different." He stated.
Naruto hummed and relented, accepting his answer. "Yeah, I guess so…" She muttered. But then another crashing thought came upon her and her body reenergised with new enthusiasm. "But then what did you do when people recognised you?" She asked, "you said before that they would stop talking!" She looked at him curiously, "You wouldn't be a very good spy if people can recognise you as the Konoha traitor." And Naruto was right with that analysis. Uncomfortably right.
Sasuke fell into a hesitant silence before answering. "I used a disguise." He stated simply. Naruto looked at him excitedly, her eyes beaming at him expectantly. They slowly morphed into a glare as Sasuke made no action. "C'mon, you bastard, I'm waiting."
Sasuke glared back with equal intensity, "I never said I was showing it to you, idiot."
"What the hell! You don't trust me?"
"I don't trust idiots."
Naruto pouted and folded her arms. "If you show me, I promise I won't tell anyone about what happened today," she pleaded.
Sasuke looked at her doubtfully, "That's not a threat, Dobe. You weren't going to tell anyone anyway."
Naruto looked down crestfallen. "It's not fair, you know? It's your fault this even happened today, and Ino and Sai were so creepy about it. It seriously felt like my chastity was under risk…" Naruto trailed off, still maintaining a pout.
Sasuke heaved a sigh. "Whatever, just don't tell anyone about this, alright, Dobe? It's still an undercover alias."
Naruto brightened up immediately. "Cross my heart and hope to die!" She cheered. Sasuke glared, already regretting his decision before making the sign.
"Sexy-no-jutsu." He said in a monotone.
In a puff of smoke stood a gorgeous petite raven-haired beauty. With subtle pink lips, hair down to her waist, and eyes so black it was as if your soul was being sucked into them. Naruto's jaw fell onto the floor.
"You stole my jutsu! And even worse, you made it even sexier! The audacity!" Naruto yelled after picking her jaw back up.
"Hn." Sasuke agreed.
