-Chapter 5-

Ivan had returned to the motel that night, feeling overwhelmed. Beacon Hills high school was a lot. He had learned a heavy amount of knowledge, trying to take it all in. He also made friends, which was new to him. Julia was sitting at her single bed, typing away on her computer.

''Hey, how was school?'' asked Julia, she was sitting up now. She knew her brother had a passion for knowledge. He always had.

''It was good, I even have homework.'' answered Ivan. He was setting up at the tiny desk in the corner of the room, ready to commence his work.

''You're such a nerd.'' answered Julia. She loved her brother, but that statement was accurate.

''How about you, did you track down Isaac?'' replied Ivan. He was staring at his sister with wide eyes. He hadn't gotten to know Isaac the way she did, but his betrayal was bad nonetheless.

''It was interesting. I found someone else, an Alpha.'' Julia was now pacing the room. As she usually did when she had a lot on her mind.

''An alpha? What have you got us mixed in Julia?'' replied Ivan, Julia had a lot of good qualities, self-control wasn't one of them.

''We need to do this. Isaac has the Revelling stone. You know what dad will do if we don't return with the stone.''

-The day Isaac left-

Julia had remembered the day Isaac left very clearly. She had been working out before returning to her home when she saw him, packing up his things.

''What's going on?'' Julia had inquired, watching Isaac toss his things into a duffel bag.

''I'm leaving, going back to Beacon Hills.'' answered Isaac, he was trying to avoid looking at her while packing up his things.

''What? Why?'' Julia was trying to stop him, but he just swatted her away.

''Did you know? What your dad was planning, did you know this entire time?'' Isaac had a hurtful look in his eyes. Betrayal.

''Isaac, you don't understand.'' Julia replied, she was just as hurt.

''I think I do, he's crazy. You can't possibly think what he's planning is a good idea.''

''I don't. But he's my father, I don't have a choice.'' Julia had tears in her eyes, she trusted him, and he was leaving.

''You always have a choice. You're making the wrong one. But I won't.'' Isaac had grabbed his duffel bag and left instantly.

Julia had been left standing in her bedroom broken. It didn't take long for her to realise that he had taken the Revelling stone. She wanted to let him, maybe her dad would just forget about his crazy idea. But she knew otherwise, her father wasn't like that. So she had made a deal with him, promising to return the stone as long as Isaac wasn't hurt.

-Beacon Hills High School-

On his second day, Ivan was more prepared for Beacon Hills high school. He had agreed to meet up with Liam and Mason before their first class.

The day went by as normal, classes were interesting, each more than the last. At lunch, Liam offered Ivan a place with them.

''Hey, how's your day been?'' asked Mason, he and Liam were sitting at a picnic table outside. They each had a relatively small lunch. Ivan sat down across from Mason, next to Liam.

''Good, they transferred me to some AP classes.''

''Wow, already? You must be in my AP science. You'll be able to meet Corey. He's my boyfriend.'' Mason went on.

''Sounds good, I still don't know too many people.''

Well, you know us. We were actually planning on seeing a movie tonight, if you're free.'' inquired Liam. He was biting into his sandwich.

''Um, yeah, that sounds fun. Except I don't know my way around town very well.''

''Oh, I can pick you up. No worries.'' replied Liam.

''Thank you.'' Ivan said, with a smile on his face.

They continued their lunch conversing, getting to know each other. Ivan was really starting to like them. Shame he wouldn't be here for long.

-Beacon Hills Motel-

Later in the afternoon, Ivan was getting ready for the cinema date, or outing or whatever it was. He was anxious, he didn't know what to wear. What do people wear to go to the cinema with other people. Ivan had no idea.

''What are you doing?'' Julia inquired as she entered the small bathroom, Ivan was brushing his hair for the fifth time in front of the mirror.

''I'm going out with some friends to the cinema.''

''Ivan, I thought I was clear. When I said blend in, I didn't mean make friends.'' Julia responded, exiting the bathroom and setteling herself on her bed.

''What, blending in means getting to know people.''

''Ivan, we're leaving soon. I will get the Revelling stone from Isaac tonight.'' answered Julia as she was getting ready, placing her jacket on.

''Tonight? What are you going to do?'' Ivan said, leaving the bathroom.

''I'm going to ask him for the Revelling stone. Simple as that. If that doesn't work, I'll try something less polite.''

''Does it have to be tonight?'' just as he uttered that sentence. Ivan got a text from Liam.

'Hey, sorry to do this but something came up. Rain check?' - Liam

'Yeah, no problem.' - Ivan

''Are you paying attention?'' said Julia, raising her voice.

''Yeah, sorry. How are we getting to him?'' murmured Ivan.

''I know where he lives.''

''Doesn't he live with an alpha?'' said Ivan, he knew his sister. An alpha wouldn't stop her, but Ivan wasn't his sister, an alpha or a beta could certainly stop him.

''That won't make a difference to me.'' replied Julia with a sly grin.

''That's what I'm worried about.'' murmured Ivan, this was a very bad idea.

-At the McCall house-

''Have you called Liam?'' asked Stiles.

They were seated in the living room. Everyone had joined together, Stiles, Malia, Isaac, Scott and Lydia.

''Yes, Stiles. He's on his way with Mason.'' Scott replied.

Malia had moved to the kitchen, setting up some plates for the pizza they had ordered, and making some fresh coffee for the insomniac Stiles, he usually consumed a lot of coffee at times like these.

''Hey.'' muttered Isaac, as he entered the kitchen, heading towards where Malia was setting up.

''Hey.'' replied Malia. She was finished setting up. Now looking out the window.

''So, this was my secret.'' Isaac was slowly inching closer to Malia.

''Yeah, I guessed that.'' replied Malia, she was still staring out the window. She didn't like feeling overwhelmed by emotions and feelings, and this was definitely a hotspot for those.

''I'm sorry, that I didn't tell you.'' Isaac felt bad, not only for lying but for hurting her.

''I understand why you didn't tell me. We've only known each other for a couple of days. We don't trust each other yet.'' replied Malia, she was getting ready to exit the kitchen when Isaac grabbed her arm.

''I do trust you.'' he murmured, still holding on to her. There was a pause as they stared at each other.

''But I don't trust you.'' Malia finally said, as Isaac released her arm with a hurtful look. He stood in that kitchen for what felt like hours, until the door opened.

''Hey, what's going on.'' inquired Liam, entering the house with Mason on his tow.

''We've got trouble. Isaac will explain.'' Scott replied.

Isaac gave Liam a quick breakdown of everything that happened in France. Him and Mason willingly listened. When Isaac was finished he awaited for any questions.

''Any questions?'' inquired Isaac, staring at the two younger boys.

''Nope, I'm good.'' replied Mason.

''So, how do we stop her?'' asked Liam. The two had sat down on the couch. But Liam was now pacing.

''Well, that's what we're trying to figure out.'' replied Lydia, she was sat at the end of the couch, next to Stiles.

''We can start with the Revelling stone. Can we break it?'' Scott was looking at Isaac, hoping he had any clue.

''Not that I know of. The first thing I did was try to destroy the stone. I tried everything, it's unbreakable.'' replied Isaac.

''We need to understand more about it, find out where it came from, what it's made of.'' Lydia said. She had acquired a couple of books revolving around Fae myths that should hopefully shed some light on the subject.

''Great, research.'' Stiles muttered.

They began searching through the books. There were a couple of heavy ones with a lot of content. They managed to split the work between them.

Just as it was reaching late evening. There was some rustling outside. Each of the werewolves and werecoyote ears perked up at this.

''Did you hear that?'' Isaac inquired, addressing everyone in the room.

''Human ears, so no.'' answered Stiles, staring right at Isaac.

''I did, it came from outside.'' Malia said, and just as she did the door was broken in.

With a loud bang, Julia entered the room with Ivan right behind her.

''Julia?'' inquired Isaac, followed by…

''Ivan?'' said Liam. Each staring with wide eyes.
