Jade's head laying on top of Ryder's chest listening to his steady heartbeat as she stares at his face while he's asleep.
She slowly stroke his cheek with her thumb and leans closely to wake him up.
"Babe" she whispered. "Wake up, it's already noon"
Ryder still doesn't budge but tightened his arms around her waist.
"Ryder, c'mon it's already 11 am so wake up sleepy head" she wriggles her finger under his nose making him scrunch his nose cutely and moves her finger away.
"Jade, stop it I'm sleeping" he grumbled.
"I'm not going to stop annoying you until you wake up"
He still doesn't budge making Jade pout. She starts straddling him and showers kisses all over his face.
"Babeeee" she whined then repeatedly kissing his left cheek.
"Okay.. okay I'm up" he huffed, stretching his arms to wrap around her waist. "I'll do this more often from the way you treating me today"
"I'm just in the good mood, don't use to it"
"Sure," he said not buying her excuses.
They both lean in for a kiss until it's been interrupted by the ringing from Ryder's phone.
Jade groaned muttering a few curses under her breath as she gets off of him to go to the bathroom. Ryder grabbed his phone for him to answer who's calling him.
"Hello," he answered.
Jade stands by the bathroom door with her arms crossed by her chest listening to their conversation.
"Ok, I'll meet you there. Bye," he ended the call and sighed.
"Who's that and where are you going?" she asks.
Ryder looks at her with an unimpressed look all over her face, she raised a brow at him waiting for him to answer.
"It's Kyle, my friend and we're going to meet up at someplace to hang out" he replied.
"What place?"
"You wouldn't like it Jade so I'm not going to tell you where"
"Oh c'mon, tell me unless you're going to cheat on me then there would be a problem"
"I'll never cheat on you, it's just the place is not safe and you would be mad at me for it"
"Now I'm curious, what is it?"
"You sure you want to know?" Jade nodded for him to go on. "We are going to a shooting range place, that's our favourite spot to hang out" he looks at her face, afraid of her reaction to it. He didn't expect her to grin like a cheshire cat instead of going to be mad at him.
" A shooting range" she gasped. "I've always wanted to go there.. can I come?" she asked and starts walking to his dresser to change her clothes.
"Are you serious?"
"What? I wanted to know how it feels like and also experiences it. I feel like a badass when I step in that room you know?" she took out her black pants and black shirt off of his dresser to put it on.
He chuckled "You're already a badass to me, no need to use a gun and shoot at the targets to be like that"
"Just please can I come with you. Teach me how to shoot and all" she begged. Ryder still doesn't like the idea of her bringing to a shooting range that can probably harm her at any cost. It's rare to leave in that place unharmed but it may happen. "I promise I'll behave"
"You won't stop begging to come if I say no, huh?" he sighed. "Fine, you'll come with me. You have 10 more mins before we leave"
"But we haven't eaten yet"
"We'll go to a drive-thru then, the place is a little too far from here"
"Okay"
After a quick stop from McDonald's and a far drive away from Los Angeles, they finally arrived at the place surrounding nothing just trees.
They both got out of the car just to meet a guy waiting beside his motorcycle. He has blonde curly hair, dark chocolate brown eyes, both arms filled with tattoos that are shown from his white shirt he wore that fits him perfectly with his broad body.
"Ryder" he greeted with a breathtaking smile on his face.
"Kyle" he nods and went up to greet him with a bro hug.
"So this is your girl you're talking about?" he smiled at her and let out a hand for her to shake "I'm Kyle, his handsome hot friend"
"I'm Jade" she shakes his hand in return with a soft smile on her face.
"Well now that you guys are here, let's get to shoot then" he turned his back and went inside the building followed by Jade and Ryder behind him.
As they stepped inside it was already filled with guns firing from the people in the shooting bays. They went in the very far back to each of the stalls left for them to use.
Ryder grabbed the safety glasses and headgear to her "Here, wear this hearing protection and safety glasses on before we get started" he instructed.
Jade puts it on her and excited for her to grab the gun Kyle is holding.
"A .22 LR Pistol for you to start," he said and handed the gun to her.
"What's that" she pointed the other gun in his hand.
"Oh, this is a ar 15 rifle, my favourite gun to use here" he pushed his glasses on ready to fire. "I'll go first"
Kyle positioned the gun in his hand carefully and focused aiming at the target's head. He pulls the trigger and started firing which he successfully did.
"Wow, now I want to try it" she starts holding the gun tightly around her hand and starts aiming at the target's chest.
"Hey hey now. I'll still need to teach you how to hold the gun properly and how to aim at the target" Ryder said. He went behind her and holds the gun in her hand steadily positioned to her peripheral view.
"Hold the gun tightly with both of your hands since it's more stable and accurate to shoot," he explained. "Now keep your one eye closed and the other eye focused on the target you want to shoot. Extend your arms to prepare to aim at your target" he whispered right from her neck.
"slide your fingers onto the trigger and focus again on the target you want to shoot. Take deep breaths and be relaxed. On the count of three, fire three times from the red circle on the target's chest okay?" Jade nodded readily to aim.
"One"
"Two"
"Three"
As then Jade pulls the trigger and shot the target's chest three times like she was told to. She lowered the gun to see if she successfully aim it right.
"Did I get it?" she squinted her eyes to see it from afar.
Ryder looked it carefully and slowly grinned seeing that Jade did hit it right in the chest. "You did, I'm impressed, baby. Good job" he kissed her cheek and gotten his gun for him to shoot next "Now it's my turn"
He positioned his gun in his hand and pulls the trigger smoothly onto the target's head. "Easy"
They continued shooting until the end of the day. Jade managed to aim at the head instead of the chest but she failed miserably by being hit on its side instead. After they had done shooting range, they went to a diner for them to eat. Jade got to know Kyle more, he was funny and cocky at the same time. He managed to make Ryder jealous at times even he's just joking but Ryder did not like it at all.
"Well, it's already 10 pm. I need to get going" Kyle said. "I'm happy to hang out with you princess and you to bro" he patted Ryder's shoulder making him scowl in return.
Kyle gets up from the booth, he mouthed he's so jealous to Jade making them both laugh. As Kyle left, they both now alone in the booth.
"I had fun today" she started.
"I'm happy you had fun, baby. I am really impressed by your aiming skills but we need to do more practice when it comes to the head"
"I know. I'm struggling okay?" she rolled her eyes and grinned at him "You do look hot earlier"
"Oh yeah?" Jade nodded. "Well, the same as you too. You know it's hard to cover up my thing down there right?" he pointed at his lower region making Jade blushed.
"Well what can I say, I'm hard to resist" she smiled at him.
"Yes you do baby, yes you do" returning with a smile on his face also. "C'mon let's get you home" he sat up from his seat ready to leave.
"Can I stay the night again?" she asked.
Ryder looked with her eyes pleading for him to accept. "Okay"
