CHAPTER SIX

John dialed in the gate address while I focused on taking the newly named 'puddle jumper', courtesy of John, down to the gate room. I didn't have my ear comm in yet because I didn't want any more distractions. Keeping the puddle jumper steady while running through all of the information on it's defenses and weapons again was hard enough. And hearing the seven men rescue team that John was leading talking in the background was already distracting.

John sat in the pilot seat next to me so I didn't feel bad closing the partition between the pilot seats and the back when I realized I could do that so I was fully focused on making sure the puddle jumper stayed cloaked and the weapons system was ready as I took us through the Stargate.

Finding the location that we needed to go to thanks to the navigation system I landed the cloaked puddle jumper as near as I dared to the huge alien ship that sat on the ground where the planet appeared to have started taking it over when John spoke up worry seeping through his voice,

"How are we going to find them in there?"

Knowing there was a life signs detector I had the ship open the wall compartment and took it out, handing it to John who looked at me surprised and curious.

"This detects life signs." I said, answering his silent question. He nodded and took it, giving me a fist bump before turning as I opened the partition between the back and front.

"Alright teams of two. Learn what you can and lay down defenses as you see fit. I want to be able to light this place up if we have to. Randy's going to keep the ship invisible so make sure you remember where it is-" The rest of what John was saying was too far away for me to hear as he left the puddle jumper that I continued to keep invisible.

Waiting for John and the others to come back since I was all alone in the ship I decided it was a good time to figure out what all I had learned from the lady that I had decided to call Yoda. Naming her that only because of two things, she said she would come if I called her name and I didn't want her to always come when I was thinking about her and she was an Ancient and had a lot of knowledge to impart so it only seemed right.

The next thing I knew there was a loud noise from outside of the ship and I used the puddle jumpers system to see what was happening. I saw several enemy ships fly up into the air from the direction of the large alien ship and I knew that my brother was on his way.

"Go Randy! Go!" John hollered as he entered the ship last all seven of the rescue team members and about two dozen others piling into the puddle jumper. I immediately shut the doors and took us up into the air keeping us cloaked as I made our way back to the Stargate.

"As soon as we get back to Atlantis I'm going to sleep. My head is starting to hurt." I decided as I weaved through the sky keeping out of the line of random fire. As I got us closer to the Stargate I realized we had a problem, small alien ships lined up in the way of the Stargate.

"Randy-" John said and I held out a hand stopping him from speaking as he was still in the back.

"I've got this John. Everyone make sure that you're holding on tight because things are about to get bumpy." I said before shutting the partition between the cockpit and the back of the spaceship.

"Aliens you're about to get randy-mized." I muttered with a smirk as I cracked my knuckles before pulling up the weapons system and devising a quick plan immediately putting it into action, my early years of being a driver for a highly illegal crew would help me make quick work of these aliens.

As soon as the last alien ship went hurtling back towards the planet below us I opened the partition again and called back without looking as I entered the coordinates,

"John come up here. I need you to put in your information now."

John hurried up and entered his IDC number and after a several seconds to make sure the other side had removed the iris, I flew into the Stargate. Coming to an immediate stop on the other side I took us straight upwards and back to the spaceship room before setting it down gently and shutting it off while opening the backdoors.

"To all newcomers, Welcome to Atlantis." I said as I turned around in the pilot seat to see the people behind me. I took a minute to make sure everything was in place with the spaceship before I walked out of the cockpit and into the back that was now empty.
