sooo, only 2 day late that's got to stand for summat generally when I'm late its a month or two but in my defence i though this chapter was done, but i hadn't edited it so my bad. anywho on with the chapter.

It's the phone ringing that wakes Anna, Caroline complaining that she has no bikinis worthy of the sexy suds' carwash. Anna buries her head in the pillow as she rants down the phone, telling her to be ready in half and hour because they are going shopping. Anna feels Jeremy stir beside her, she shifts to meet his eye, at the confused look on his face she mouths Caroline smirking he rolls over to go back to sleep.

"Caroline breath, its only 6am, we have time and anyway we have school."
"No you don't." Caroline cuts her off. "You missed a check in with your uncle Finn and he's furious, also your mum called everything is fine in New Orleans so she's going to meet up with your dad in Peru, she said use protection your only half vampire after all." Anna groans pulling the pillow over her head at Caroline's laughter. "Nik called too, but he didn't leave a message."

"Caroline Forbes you are not allowed to sleep with my uncle." She snaps down the phone. Hanging up to Caroline's laughter.

She gives it a few minutes before she pulls her head from under the pillow, as she hauls herself up. She finds Jeremy sat up, leaning against the headboard a smile playing at his lips. She tells him to shut up smacking him in the face with the pillow. He falls sideways the smile wiped from his face, he dives at her for retribution, but she rushes into the bathroom locking the door behind her, laughing as Jeremy tries the door. She's still laughing when the second adjoining door opens, revealing the dopplewhore.

"What!"

"Nope not dealing with you this early in the morning." She unlocks the door, walking back into Jeremys room, he's back on the bed leaning on the headboard, smiling innocently.

"Your sister just walked in on me in the bathroom." She says walking over getting back in the bed, throwing the covers over her head.

"Jenna doesn't care, well no she does care but she trusts we'll behave, and Elena doesn't matter. Though she is probably already downstairs raging about you being here again."

"I have no clothes, if I'm gonna be staying here often you need to have a draw of my clothes," Laughing Jeremy runs a hand through her hair, letting her know he washed the clothes she left here last time, pointing to a set of draws, she grins kissing his cheek.

"You're the best Jer. But I mean it, if I stay over one more night, I'm stealing a draw and half your closet. A lady needs clean underwear."

They lay there for a while in silence, him carding his hand through her hair, both content if only for a little while.

{half an hour later}

Jeremy is sat at his desk when she comes out of the bathroom, fully dressed and showered. Towel drying her hair.

"Whatcha doin." She asks leaning on his shoulder. He shifts allowing her to see the picture he is drawing, it's her, him and Caroline eating breakfast. "You're really good Jer, Can I have that when it's done."

"Sure." he smiles. The rest of his sentence is cut off by a car horn, Anna meets Jeremy's eye exasperated.

"She's still driving my car."

They hear the front door open, looking out the widow they see Elena rush out to greet Caroline, grinning Anna can see the put out look on Elena's face, she opens the window leaning out enough to tell Caroline she'd be two more minutes. Jeremy is laughing as she closes the window at the look on Elena's face.

Smirking she asks him if he wants a lift to school but reminds him that her and Caroline are going shopping afterwards so he can either come with or find his own way home.

"Will there be a fashion show, a can pick the best bikini." She slaps his arm as he picks up his school bag.

"Shit I hope she grabbed my bag." Laughing Jeremy drags her down the stairs, shouting bye to Jenna.

Jenna shouts both of them back into the kitchen, pointing at sandwiches on the side. "Have a good day at school." Frowning they both grab the offered food, thanking her.

"What was that?" Anna whispers to Jeremy as they leave the house. He shrugs just as confused as her.

They can hear Caroline insisting she can't just give Elena a lift because it's not her car.

Hands on hips Elena angrily reminds Caroline they are best friends as she reaches for the car door.

"nu uh, nope. My car has one rule, no you, never you. No touchy." Anna bats Elena's hand away harshly. Turning to Caroline, "I can't believe you drove my baby, shift." She waves a hand at her, Laughing Caroline slides into the passenger seat, leaving Jeremy to jump in the back.

They drive off leaving Elena stood on the sidewalk.

"Did you grab my bag." Caroline nods in the direction of the footwell.

"I put that necklace on your dresser,"
"Give it to Bonnie it belonged to her family anyway."

"WHAT!"

Anna explains that the necklace had belonged to Emily Bennet, Bonnie's ancestor.

They stop at Starbucks on the way to school. By time they get there Elena and Bonnie have already surrounded Tikki demanding answers from her.

[School hallway]

As soon as they see Elena harassing Tikki, Caroline rushes over "The sexy suds car wash is tomorrow. The football team and the band have committed. Well, not all the band. Just the ones who could pull off the bikini. I want, in your face, sexy. I mean, it's a fund raiser, for god's sake." Bonnie and Elena roll their eyes, not realising that Tikki is escaping.

Stefan arrives, taking all of Elena's attention, rolling her eyes Caroline grabs Anna's arm, they follow Bonnie's example and escape the awkward conversation.

[Mystic grill]

After a few hours of shopping the girls decide to stop of at the grill for some lunch. They wave to Matt but don't stop to chat, he's with Elena. They giggle together at the awkwardness of the situation Elena getting boy advice from the guy she brutally dumped what a bitch.

The girls find a table not far from the bar. Caroline curses when she sees her mother sat at the bar. Choosing to ignore her mother's presents they chat about their purchases. Until Logan Fell appears they start to chat, Anna closes her eyes and silently curses her luck. They know. Caroline is looking at her with fear in here gaze. When Sheriff Forbes mentions Jeremy, she curses out loud.

Both adults look their way, Caroline improvises, "You forgot to call your uncle last night didn't you?"
"He's gonna kill me Caro, he hates it when I forget to check in, he's probably already on his way down here. God I can't cope." The adults look away, Caroline gives her a conspiratory wink. As she breaths a sigh of relief.

Anna's phone pings on the table, leaning over Caroline can see Jeremy's name. She raises an eyebrow.

"Shut up." Reading the message she laughs. Telling Caroline what it says.

'I did a good deed and now I feel I am being punished. Why am I a nice person.'

It is quickly followed by another.

'They're flirting disgusting.'

And another.

'The dumbass is telling her about his ex what an idiot.'

In the end Caroline joins Anna on her side of the booth, and they video call Jeremy. He is sat on the stair in his house giving them a play by play of the terrible date. Every so often turning the phone so they can see slightly into the kitchen.

'gross their making out, I'm out of here'.

Jeremy hangs up as they laugh. Seeing her mother is still their Caroline leans into Anna space whispering wouldn't Stefan have heard all that. Anna nods, causing them to fall into uncontrollable laughter. As they leave Caroline shouts to her mother that she will be staying at Anna's again tonight letting the door close behind her just as her mother opened her mouth to protest.

{The next day}

[Car wash]

Caroline drags Anna out bright and early to help set up for the car wash, she sends Jeremy an SOS, he sends back a sleeping emoji.

Cursing she reluctantly helps, watching with a smirk as Caroline chews out anyone who is even a minute late.

Caroline seems to spend the day yelling at everyone from cheerleaders to faculty.

"Well damn, if I knew you looked like that, I'd have showed up earlier." She turns to meet Jeremy's gaze completely unimpressed by his comment.

"Real classy Jer." Grinning he takes her hand spinning her around.

"10 out of 10." She slaps his chest calling him a pig, but it has no heat behind it.

"Truce." He holds up a bag she didn't see before, "I figured, the drill sergeant over there," he motions at Caroline, "Hasn't let you have a break yet."

"You are the best Jer." She Cheers snatching the bag from his hands, moving over to one of the picnic tables.

"Is that your aunt with the Logan Fell."

He nods, they both wave catching her attention. She smiles waving over before turning her attention back to the man Infront of her.

"Has anyone seen Tiki?" Caroline yells across the car park. Anna ducks hoping she won't see her; Jeremys shoulders shake in silent laughter as he drinks his can.

"Anna!" She cringes realising she's been caught.

"I haven't seen, her since she told her grandfather to go home. Maybe she took him home." Caroline lets out a frustrated noise. Storming off to organise the clean-up, putting Bonnie in charge of sweeping.

Bonnie thinks its pointless to sweep because it's a car wash its clean. Caroline is persistent the wet ground needs sweeping. In her anger Bonnie's powers surge causing one of the remaining cars to catch fire.

Anna starts to laugh, hearing Bonnie's whisper to Stefan if anyone saw her. Anna waves catching Bonnie's eye giving her the biggest smirk.

"What was that?"
"She's a witch, one who has no control over her powers, hence," she points at the car, "The fire, silly little witchling."

"WHAT."

"I forgot to tell you about that didn't I." He stares at her wide eyed. "Then I probably forgot to tell you about the vampires?"

"VAMP." She put across the table in seconds clamping a hand over his mouth before he can finish the word. Looking around to make sure no one heard him. They can see Logan Fell giving them a weird look, Anna looks down realising the position they are in, letting out a nervous laugh she falls back into her seat picking at her sandwich. Jenna makes her way over to them sitting next to Anna on the bench.

"You could do better," Jenna raises her eyebrow, "He looks slimy, Like the kinda guys my aunt dates before my uncles make them disappear."

"Disappear." Jenna says with a laugh.

Giving her a secretive smile, she asks why Jenna is laughing, her uncles' murderous tendencies were nothing to laugh at. Jeremy and Anna laugh at the wide-eyed look Jenna gives her. She looks at them both as if trying to solve a puzzle that has to many missing pieces. Shaking her head she offers Jeremy a lift home, he declines choosing to spend more time with Anna.

Watching Jenna leave, Jeremy catches her attention, she shakes her head, "Not here," As he goes to press, she leans over the table lips at his ear "Too many ears." Pulling back he searches her eyes. Finding what he was looking for he relaxes, nodding towards the car park, "Don't you need to clean up."

She makes a face shaking her head, "Let's get out of here." He stands grabbing her hand tugging her towards her car,

"Do you have a top," At her nod "We can stop at the grill grab something to eat then go back to mine."

She seems to think about it, "How about we get the food to go, and eat it at yours."

"Can I drive?"
"Can you drive?"

"Yeah." She looks him over debating it, with a sign she offers him the key reminding him that this beautiful creature was her baby and she could kill him easily. she hands him the key walking around the car getting into the passenger seat.

"Errr where are you going?" Bonnie snaps. She just shows her the finger slamming the door behind her, telling Jeremy to drive before Caroline sees her.

Jeremy tears out of the Car park so fast; Anna has to brace herself to stop her head slamming into the door. Jeremy is cheering as he races down the road, "Dick."

He sends her a cheeky smile, slowing down to a more reasonable speed.

[Gilbert house]

It doesn't take them too long to get their food and get to the Gilbert house, though Anna drives from the grill not trusting Jeremy to drive with food in the car, worried for her upholstery.

They walk into the kitchen laughing and joking instantly seeing Jenna setting the table.

"Date aunt Jenna." She tells him to shut up. With a cheeky grin he moves around her to get into the cupboard with plates. "We'll just eat this upstairs." At the confused look Anna raises the takeout bag.

"So I'm not the only one on a date." She looks between the two,

"It's not a date,"" He mumbles looking down,

"Looks like a date, kid."

"Feels like a date." Jeremy's head shoots up, meeting Anna's eyes. He stares at her in wonder.

"I guess it could be a date," He suggest tentatively.

"You'd have to ask me first."

His eyes flicker to Jenna, as if debating having that conversation there, but it's too late it's happening, it now or never. Taking a deep breath, "Anna, will you go to the Halloween dance with me."

Grinning like a fool she deposits the food on Jenna's clean table ignoring the dirty look, she walks around the table to kiss his cheek, "I'd love too."

Jenna tells them to behave as they retreat upstairs hand in hand. They bump into Logan in front of Jeremys door.

"What are you doing here?"

"Oh, hey, man. Just looking for the bathroom. " They share a quick look before turning to the open bathroom door, sharing another look Anna mutters dumbass as they enter his room.

Jeremy distributes the food at his desk watching her, she sighs "I wish he wasn't here he makes me uneasy." Abandoning the food he joins her on his bed wrapping an arm around her. She tells him everything from her being a vampire hybrid to the stupid Mystic Falls council. By time she is finished its dark out. Getting up Jeremy walks back to his desk, messing with the plates as if the food weren't already beyond cold.

"Your uncle wants to kill my sister. Is that why you're here now."

"Wha, Jer no." She stands up but makes no move to go to his side. "Jer only one member of my family knows I'm here and he has been sworn to secrecy, I'm here to find my nanny."

He looks round then, meeting her eye, "Nanny?"

"About 1oo years ago I lived here, wanted to travel so my parents found Pearl, I'm a young vampire and back then a young girl traveling on her own was unheard of, she was a powerful witch, we ended up here. Got caught up in town drama, probably didn't help she fell in love." Anna lets out a hollow laugh, "She fell in love with Jonathan Gilbert. And she ended up being round up and put to death with the vampires.

Angry Jeremy shoves his desk chair into the wall. "So that's why your here revenge against my family."
"No, well was going to use the blood of a Gilbert to help revive her, but that was before we met, Jer your my best friend, my only friend, please believe me."

He says nothing just stares at her, when the door cracks open, Jenna is stood there Logan not far behind her, she asks if everything is ok worried about the noise, Jeremy waves her off playing it off as an accident, Anna doesn't say anything worried he will give her up as his ancestors did. Jenna pushes when she realises neither have eaten wonder what had happened between the kitchen and his room. Jeremy heaves a sigh of annoyance telling her everything is fine; Anna has to suppress a smile.

Clearing his voice Logan offers to give Anna a lift home, she cringes back, Jenna notices that frowning at Logan. It Jeremy who answers for her.

"Anna's staying here again tonight, that's ok isn't it Aunt Jenna?"

"I still haven't met your parents."

Trying to ignore the look on Logans face she explain where her parents are, offering a small smile she offers to call her mother.

"That's a great idea." Jenna holds out her hand expectantly letting Logan know he can let himself out. Opening and closing his mouth a few times he turns to leave.

Surrendering to the inevitable she calls her mother handing the phone straight to Jenna before she picks up. Jenna leaves

the room with the Phone Anna listening with bated breath. But before her mother has even answered Jeremy is talking again demanding answers, she tells him truly everything, so much so that his shoulders sag and he falls into a sitting position on the bed tugging her down beside him, tucking her into his side. "You have a pretty shitty life, I'm sorry I yelled at you."
"1000 years is a long time to be alone, even if you are surrounded by family, and anyway I should have broken it to you better," Before she can finish Jenna is walking back into the room,

"Your mother is lovely. How old is she, she sounds so young?" Waving off the question, seeing them cuddling, "You guys need something to eat." She leaves the room, leaving the door open for them to follow. They get halfway down the stairs when Jenna shouts asking what they want on their pizza, Anna shrugs telling her she will eat anything. Nodding she returns to the kitchen telling them to pick a movie.

Grinning Jeremy stops them at the bottom of the stairs, catching her chin, "She likes you, and so do I, just no more secrets, yeah." At her whispered yeah, he leans down pressing a chased kiss to her lips.
