Author's Note: Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time! I've been super busy and been trying to get back into writing. I still receive messages that some people still come back to this story and I greatly appreciate everyone. I will try to keep writing and posting. Thanks to all who still like the story! It will be awhile before my next update. Now Onward to Chapter 5!

Chapter 5:

Old Faces and a Little Surprise

"Hello there Izuku, it's been a long time. Pardon for the rudeness but I need you to come with me." Akutagawa said.

Chapter 5 is done! Sorry for the very long wait everyone, this year has been crazy. Thanks to all who stuck around this far. After this update I won't be posting for a while, due to trying to get these chapters written ahead of time. So thanks to all who keep waiting. P.S. I know my writing style isn't all that great, but thanks to everyone again who keeps checking this out even though it's been a year since I last uploaded! Also, who knows I might add a new universe to this story.

"Izuku, you know him?" asked Atsushi

Izuku nodded, thinking back to his days as a child. "I'll tell you about it later, but I didn't think you would join the Port Mafia." he yelled.

"Now please, just be good boys and follow me." Akutagawa said as he glared at both Izuku and Atsushi.

"I'm not going anywhere with you, not until you tell me where you've been all these years and why you are with the Port Mafia!" Izuku yelled angrily.

Before Akutgawa could reply, Atsushi ran forward to try to get the jump on him, but Akutgawa expected this and used the same black energy to stab him. Atsushi closed his eyes, waiting for the pain to come, however it never did, all he felt was something wet splashing his face. He then opened his eyes and what he saw shocked him to his core.

*cough* "Are you okay Atsushi?" Izuku asked while coughing up blood. He then looks at his stomach where the black energy stabbed him. 'Well that's not good, mom and the others will kill me.' he thought.

"IZUKU!" Atsushi yelled while he grabbed him after Akutgawa removed that same black energy from Izuku.

"Izuku! Stay with me!" Atsushi yelled while putting pressure on the wound to keep it from bleeding. Akutgawa stood there shocked that he stabbed him.

"Well, guess I got here late." a mysterious figure said while placing his hand on Akutgawa.

'What the..' he thought while trying to use his quirk, but realized nothing happened.

"Dazai." Akutgawa venomously said.

"Hello there little Aku! Causing trouble as usual?" Dazai said while smiling.

"Hm. We are leaving Hichigo." Akutgawa said as he turned and walked away from the alley, but not before giving a sad glance at the nearly dying Izuku.

"But sir! We have to capture them!" Hichigo argued, but Akutgawa kept walking away. She then reluctantly followed, but not before a few parting words. "You two will always be hunted by the Port Mafia. It is our masters wish."

"Oooh she's scary!" Dazai exclaimed, then he looked at Izuku then sighed.

"Good thing he's still alive. Come along Atsushi! Let's get him fixed up." he continued.

Inside the Detective Agency building

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Izuku yelled in horror.

"Sounds like he's healed!" Dazai exclaimed.

'Sounds more like he's in more pain than before.' Atsushi thought, while looking at the door in horror.

The door opened to see a horrified Izuku. "This is worse than death….mom I'll be a good boy…" he mumbled.

"Oh come on, it wasn't that bad." said the second person to come out the door. She is wearing a business outfit with a skirt and high heels. She also has a golden butterfly pin on her hair.

"Thank you Akikoooo!" Dazai said, while spinning around his chair.

"This boy is such a wuss." The now named Akiko said. Her quirk is Thou Shalt Not Die which allows her to heal external wounds. However, to heal someone they must first be "half-dead"; meaning they must have fatally serious injuries before she can use her ability. Due to this, her ability is inconvenient for healing minimal wounds since she needs to fatally injure that person first.

"All right Izuku, why don't you take the weekend off. I know your classes will start this Monday. We'll reach out to you when you have another assignment" Dazai said.

Izuku just nodded absently and walked away.

After he left, Dazai looked serious and asked Kunikida, "So what have we gathered?"

"While it's true that Akutgawa knows Izuku, as we've seen. There's no record of them having history before he joined the Port Mafia." Kunikida replied.

'How do you know Izuku?' Dazai thought while looking out the window.

'Mom's going to kill me. It's really late and my phone broke when I got hit.' Thought Izuku while jogging to his house. While turning around a corner he hears a whimper in a dark alley. He pauses and asks "Hello? Is anyone there?".

Having a bad feeling, he slowly walks into the dark alley and tries to find the source of the whimper. He then sees a small white haired girl and a small horn.

"Hey are you…?" he then paused seeing the fear in her eyes and bandages on her arms.

"Help me." the small girl whimpered. Without thinking, Izuku grabbed the girl and ran to the safest place they could be at, his home, not taking the risk of running into someone that might be looking for her.

'Great job, Izuku, how am I going to explain this to mom?' he thought has he looked down at the girl and felt her shaking in fear.

'No, this is the right thing to do. I don't know what kind of maniac would do this to a little girl.' he thought.

"Hey, what's your name?" he asked.

"E-Eri…" the girl named Eri responded.

"Well then Eri, I'm going to protect you and keep you safe!" Izuku proclaimed with a smile even brighter than All Might. At that moment, Eri felt something in her heart that she never felt before, something that no one has ever shown her.

Izuku then made his way to the stairs, preparing to tell his mom what happened.

"Hey mom, I'm home!" He announces while entering the house with Eri in hand.

"Izuku, welcome! There's dinner…" she then trails off while looking at Eri, then at Izuku with a look that says, tell me everything now.

Izuku then explains to her the situation while Eri is on his lap, eating an apple.

"Well honey, she can stay, however, I suggest going to the principal tomorrow. I know it's the weekend but they should still be there and help you." Inko said with a look of worry.

"Thanks mom!" Izuku yelled excitedly, at Eri.

"You're going to stay with us today Eri, then we'll have good people helping you out tomorrow." he explained. Eri then looked nervous about having to meet other people, but she believed that if this green-haired stranger said they were good, then she would believe him.

"For now, let's go get you cleaned up and eat." Inko said as she took Eri to get cleaned up.

'For some reason, I have a feeling that she should stay with me, rather than having the school or the police take her.' Izuku thought, while waiting for Eri to finish.

"Izuku.." Inko called out, worrily.

"What's wrong mom?" he asked, then noticed sadness in her eyes. Next to her was Eri, all cleaned up, but without bandages. Izuku felt so much anger that he had to hold back, so he wouldn't scare Eri.

He then walked towards Eri and gave her a big hug. This surprised Eri, as she's never been hugged before and she thought it felt nice.

"I swear, I will protect you." He proclaimed, while Eri started crying, feeling relief that she has someone who will watch over her. She then cried herself to sleep and Izuku put her in his room. If anything, Izuku made up his mind. He will protect her and make sure she stays with him.

Chapter 5 is done! Will Izuku get to keep Eri? I will do my best to get Chapter 6 done, but this time it won't be as long as a wait. Thanks to all the readers!
