It then shot through the roof, matching the brief bit of power they had seen of The White Dragon Emperor, Vali. And still it climbed. Koneko let out her tail and ears, not being able to keep them in due to the sheer power around them. Ise took this as a sign, and instantly let off the pressure. "That was about 75% of my power without Balance Breaker. With the breaker, I'm approximately 100x stronger. And I can boost about 50000x in Balance Breaker. I'm powerful enough that Old Man Tannin says I can make a new form, but I have no idea how to do that." He chuckled softly. "Well, until recently, anyway. Anyways, I have a question." He then looked specifically at Koneko. "Do you want to come and watch me train tomorrow?"

Everyone was baffled by this sudden question. What was going on? But Rias was, well, Rias, so she was a little jealous, and very pissed. "Why only ask Koneko, and not the rest of us, Ise? What's so special about Koneko that she gets to watch you train, huh? You know, you two have been acting weird all afternoon. You guys never even used to talk, and now you're like best friends."

"Actually, I was asking because Koneko can't train tomorrow because she needs to recover her energy. You guys can go train, and should, because you never know what might happen. We got that meeting in 10 days, with my luck something will happen, and you guys should prepare. Koneko would be best where she's not too stressed, right?" It was a rhetorical question.

Rias stopped. She hadn't thought about that. "Fine, Koneko can watch you tomorrow."

"It's her decision. She doesn't have to." Ise said, looking at her.

"Actually, I do want to go. It would be nice to see Ise get beat up by a dragon." Said Koneko.

Isse pouted. "That's not fair, Koneko, I win sometimes."

Everyone screamed at him "SOMETIMES".

"So you mean to tell me you have defeated the great dragon king, the second strongest Dragon King, in battle?" Exclaimed Akeno.

"Only because he underestimated me and I got lucky, and even then it's not really a win, it's just a good hit" Ise defended.

"Good job, Ise." Spoke Koneko softly.

Ise struggled to catch his breath for a second. 'That voice, it's just like…

"Good job, Ise", said Emma, watching him go swimming for the first time, something he had been afraid to do. "I knew you could do it."

Ise smiled a melancholy smile, a smile filled with such sadness that everyone felt it.

"What's wrong, Ise?" Asked Asia.

"Nothing, I'm fine. Well, I guess we should all head back now." Said Ise, spreading his wings. Koneko got on his back, and together they all headed back.

When they arrived, one of the first things Ise did was tuck in Koneko. Just as he was about to walk out the door, Koneko called out for him to wait. "Ise, can you stay here with me till I fall asleep? Please?"

Ise smiled. "Sure thing, Koneko."

"Shi-Shi." The voice was tired and sleepy, but full of determination.

"What?" Asked Ise, not knowing if he heard right.

"Call me Shi-Shi." Said Koneko, blushing. She sat up.

"Okay, Kon… Shi-Shi." He corrected, laying next to her on the bed and trying out the name for himself. He decided he liked it. "I'll stay here for now."

"One more thing." Said Shi-Shi, blushing. "Can you please hold me?"

"Sure thing, Shi-Shi." Ise said, laughing a bit.

"Mou, it's not funny, Ise." Said Shi-Shi, pouting.

"Whatever," he said, hugging Shi-Shi. Little did they know that Akeno heard the entire conversation.

For the first time in a long time, Ise had no nightmares. The same could be said for the girl next to him.

Akeno walked down to where Rias was in the bedroom. "I'm afraid Ise isn't going to be with us tonight, Koneko wants him to stay with her. Ise agreed." She said, sad at the prospect of not sleeping with her favorite pillow, but also happy that her friends were gonna be ok. She noticed Ise's nightmares, even if no one else did.

"If it was any other circumstance I would go have a talk with Ise right now, but as is, I think I'll let them sleep. Said Rias.

"Oh and another thing, she asked him to call her 'Shi-Shi'." Said Akeno curiously.

"That we will have to talk about. For now, let's get some sleep."

"Agreed."

The 2 went to bed after that, their mind dwelling on other things, mostly the change in relationship between Ise and Koneko.
