Lizzie's POV
We all immediately started repairing the ship, well the crew did anyway with Harry leading the repairs while Uma, Gil and I were in the bazaar shops down by the central market around the Bargain Castle which was now abandoned and looted since Maleficent was gone, Harry and I had some fun in there a couple of weeks ago, tagging the walls with pointless graffiti and stole some of Maleficent's things selling them except for some black nail polish which Harry decided to keep but we were here today because Uma was after a new pirates hat since her old one was pretty old and being held together with duct tape, hats weren't my thing so I was along purely for my fashion input and Gil...I have no idea why he tagged along especially since he wasn't helping and was just trying on every hat in the market.
"What do you think of this?" he asked donning a black silk top hat and I smiled shaking my head at him. "Or this?" he swapped it out for a feathered creation but Uma ignored him, I smirked suddenly grabbing the top hat on top of my head.
"What do you think Gil?" I asked with a wide grin. "Do I look as mad as a hatter?"
"Madder" he laughed and I laughed back before we turned to Uma who was still rooting through the racks of hats, I had a feeling both her and Harry were re-thinking letting Gil join the crew since he wasn't all that bright in the head but he was the kindest and most sincere person I'd ever met and on an island full of villains a little bit of kindness wasn't so bad once in a while. "Uma, what about this one?!" he suddenly asked making me look back at him from my own sort through seeing him strutting around in a white cowboy hat.
"No" she spoke flatly trying on a hat of her own looking at her reflection in the shops small broken mirror.
"How about this one?" Gil asked again this time trying on a pointy velvet hat.
"No" she said again picking through a deep barrel of tricorn hats that would've suited any buccaneer but none of them were right for her, I kept shaking my head every time she looked to me for my opinion. "Hey this one would suit you" she suddenly said.
"I already told you, hats aren't my-" I turned seeing her holding out a black tricorn pirates hat with red and gold trimmings and a black/red feather sticking off it and I actually did like it so I took from her and placed it on my head tipping it to the right position and looked in the mirror...huh I didn't look too bad.
"I guess it's not so bad" I muttered and both Uma and Gil smirked especially when I pulled out five rusted coins dropping them onto the table to pay for it, that was all my money...well that I'd stolen today anyway, I had my own stash savings hidden in my room in my mother's decrepit castle.
"I think I'll go with this one" Gil spoke up placing a brown leather hat on his head. "Looks good?"
"Not bad" I admitted truthfully.
"I'll take this bunch" he told the sales clerk, motioning to a big pile by the counter of all the hats he'd tried on. "They're on sale, you find anything?" he asked turning to Uma but she shook her head.
"I'll meet you guys on the ship" she told us and we both nodded.
"Yup, see you there" Gil said before he and I left heading back to the bay and onto the ship seeing Harry and the other crew members still deep in work cutting down planks to the right lengths, nailing boards and threading the sail.
"About time yeh's got back, we could use the extra help" Harry spoke up as soon as we walked onto the deck. "Nice hat" I smiled a little trying desperately not to blush.
"Nice ship" Uma suddenly said making me jump a little and turned around to see her walking up the gangplank onto deck and my smile instantly dropped to a frown since it was clear Harry was complimenting her not me as she had a new tricorn hat on top of her head that was decorated with shells, fishnets and other sea trinkets, it was definitely her.
"Sweet, isn't it" he drawled scratching his cheek with his hook. "At least once we patch up the holes, fix the mast and see to the anchor we'll be set to go, I've got the crew working day and night" Harry replied and I crossed my arms sharing a look with Uma who was almost an identical in posture to me.
"Good job" Uma nodded at him.
"Good job, Captain?" he replied sounding hopeful and I rolled my eyes.
"As if, you work for us remember" I spat at him. "Do we have to keep reminding you, we're the captains your first mate" I added narrowing my eyes at him as I jabbed my finger into his chest.
"First date if you're lucky" Harry shot back with a smirk but it was his words that had be taking a double take as my eyes shot to him seeing him wink and pulling on his collar strutting a little but I knew he had to be joking.
"Shut up" Uma laughed before I had a chance to say anything and I was a little thankful since no doubt I would've said something stupid and embarrassed myself. "And see to that sail" she added and Harry swaggered away chuckling to himself as I rolled my eyes, Harry was such a flirt and we had always seemed to have a question-and-rejection game that we've seemed to have been playing since forever but I knew it was just that, a game since there was no way that a guy like Harry Hook could ever like me more and it also just wasn't a custom we partook on the Isle of the Lost, dating was rarely if ever seen.
"Darlings" Harry suddenly said swiveled on his heels to face us again and I hopped I didn't have a visible blush on my face but the way that rolled off his tongue was almost enough to bring it back. "I just need to ask again, how are we gonna find that thing in the water?" he asked again and I sighed turning to Uma since she was the one supposed to be figuring that out.
"Leave that to me" Uma replied which told me she still had no idea so I turned to Harry.
"Just get this ship ready" I told him before I turned to Uma once he'd walked off to do as I'd said. "So any ideas yet?" I asked.
"Not at all" she admitted to me.
"Well we better come up with something fast, were running out of time" I replied and she gave me a scowl which told me my statement. "I'll leave you to manage these guys, I've gotta go"
"Where?" she pressed stopping me from leaving.
"I've just gotta run a few errands"
"For your Mom?" she pressed making me frown.
"Yeah" I sighed opting with the truth since she was the only one who knew what I did for my Mom and what it was like to be a slave to your parent.
"Be careful" she warned me and I nodded before I left walking home, I passed Tick-Tock dock, passed the Castle Across the Way and Hell Hall both looking worse for wear now that Evie and Carlos were gone and their parents were barely seen before I finally saw the wrought iron gates with thorn bushes wrapping around them in an untamed mess, with no sun on the Isle roses couldn't grow and there weren't exactly fresh flowers on the barges meaning my mother was forced to live without her one true love...her red roses.
I pushed open the gates making the creak quite loudly from the rusted hinges then closed them, I made my way through the sharp and twisted maze that kept the lesser villains from looting our home since most of them got lost in the maze and would give up but living here my whole life meant I knew which ways to go...right...left...left...right...left and a right before I finally exited the maze and saw the decrepit old castle that was twisted and asymmetrical especially as it was surrounded by more sharp thorn mazes meaning it would have looked right at home in Wonderland, but here it just served as a cruel reminder of my mother's homeland and as my torture chamber.
I walked through the bright blood red painted front door, my eyes falling on the black and white checked tiled floor and the matching deck of cards inspired wallpaper on the walls which was slowly peeling off with cracks and patches missing from water rot by the many holes in the roof which allowed water in.
"ILIZABETH!" I immediately jumped at the sound of her booming voice.
"Yes mother, it's me" I called back making my way into the tea room seeing her sitting in her favorite red throne chair with hearts painted all over the torn and ripped upholstery.
"About time you showed up" she spat back a deep frown on her face. "Argh and smelling like fish, you were with those sea mongrels again" I clenched my fist stopping myself from biting at her distaste for Uma and the others.
"I'm sorry mother" I apologized instead anxiously fidgeting my feet.
"Don't apologize you ungrateful child, a princess does not apologize for anything, nor does she fidget and interact with peasants" I bit my tongue once again. "Go clean yourself up then begin your chores and this time do them properly" I nodded my head. "And get rid of that ridiculous hat while you're at it" she added making me frown before I quickly exited the room heading up the creaky stairs into my room shutting the door behind me.
I sighed looking around my dark bedroom, as you probably could have guessed my room was decorated in red and black which were in fact my two favorite and signature colors, the walls were painted red countering the black floorboards, I had one large bay window with blood red curtains and my furniture was dark washed and almost looked black, I slept in an old four posted bed which was missing the canopy top given that nothing was new on this island and the sheets were red with an old blanket for warmth.
I made my way into the bathroom that butted up against my room and hopped into the shower which of course was cold water since villains didn't deserve such luxuries before I changed clothes and started on the chores which was basically every common house chore that you could think off and wasn't finished until late in the afternoon before I left grabbing my hat and sword and started walking towards Ursula's Fish & Shoppe.
I walked in seeing the entire crew was sitting at the long table in the back of the shop in front of the kitchen window and walked towards it sitting down in-between Gil and Harry with a long exhausted sigh making them both look up at the sound.
"Yeh alrite princess?" Harry asked and I glared at him for calling me princess, as you can guess why the reason I hated it since only my mother called me princess and not at all in an endearing way, for her it was a manipulation tool. 'Act like a princess' 'Be the princess that you are' 'A princess would not act that way' I've heard it my entire life and I hated it.
"For the last time Hook...don't call me princess" I spat at him angrily. "And I'm fine" I added looking around the table at the rest of the crew, there was Jonas with his cornrows and the scar on his left cheek, Desiree a tiny but vicious in a ragged peasant dress, Gonzo who was fierce beneath a red bandana, long braids and blue pantaloons and last but not least Bonny who had killer style for what was available to us decorating with torn fishnets and patched dungarees, along with a whole host of others...all hardened mercenaries.
"Recap, what do we know about Yen Sid?" Uma suddenly asked making me look up at her with slight confusion since I must have walked in while they were in the midst of a conversation and I hoped it was a plan on how we were getting this trident, Harry suddenly dumped a pile of pages onto the table...clearly I'd missed a lot throughout the day.
"You look for any reason to use that thing, don't you?" I asked Harry watching him use his hook to turn the pages through a notepad.
"Yeh rather I use it on you?" he bit back with a deviously smirk making me roll my eyes.
"In your dreams" I argued getting up to grab some food from the kitchen window since I was starving having not eaten anything throughout the day seeing Uma rolling her eyes at Harry and I's banter out of the corner of my eyes before she motioned Harry to go on.
"Professor at Dragon Hall but not a villain, Volunteered to live on the Isle of the Lost to quote 'help the new generation of villain offspring'.." Harry read sniggering at the quote. "What a loser"
"What else?" Uma snapped impatient.
"Let's see" Harry said struggling to turn the pages with hook and I rolled my eyes sometimes wishing he'd give up the whole hook obsession and just use his damn hands but I knew it'd never happen. "Here we go" he finally said. "Keeps to himself, amateur lepidopterist"
"Lepidop-what?" Gil asked making me laugh a little.
"Studies butterflies" I explained at the same time as Harry and we looked at each other before he turned back to Gil.
"You know those bugs with the pretty wings" Harry continued to explain and I rolled my eyes since Gil wasn't that dim not to know what a butterfly is.
"I know what a butterfly is" Gil said standing up for himself making me smile a little and I patted his shoulder.
"Really, well you learn something new every day" Harry replied with a smirk and I smacked him upside the head.
"Don't be an ass, at least Gil can count and tell time" I remarked and a wave of 'oohs' went through the crew as Harry glared at me before his eyes dropped back to the notepad and I smirked since I'd won this round in our banter.
"What else let's see...has never set foot in the Fish & Chip Shoppe but is a regular at the Slop Shop where he takes his tea"
"Tea?" Uma said making a face.
"Yeah it annoys the goblins to no end because they're a coffee shop and apparently he always insists on chai which of course they don't have" Harry continued and I sniggered a little. "No known acquaintances, no associates, an enigma shall we say..."
"Hold on, what's this?" Uma asked cutting him off and picked up one of the papers off the top of the pile, I leaned over to see it better and saw the gold beast-head stamp and signature of the Fairy Godmother written fluidly at the bottom.
"Oh those are transfer documents for when he moved here to the Isle of the Lost from Auradon" Harry explained leaning over her shoulder as well, why anyone wanted to move here from Auradon was beyond me especially since everyone on this godforsaken island was trying to get off it. "I had one of my boys pull the file" I scoffed at Harrys word choices.
"Look" Uma pointed at an additional name on the paper, Harry and I both leaned in further to read the name then all three of us shared a look grinning like Cheshire cats with evil smiles. "This is it, this is how we get in"
"What?" Gil asked oblivious to our revelation while Uma and I studied the document again coming up with a silent plan between us since I knew neither one of us wanted to actually deal with the esteemed professor as there was a hidden strength and fortitude to the old guy that had always chilled us since the legend of his magical power was legendary and for once I was glad there was a magical barrier that prevented all magic even his but I still didn't even know why Uma was interested in him in the first place.
"Professor Sid didn't move here alone" Uma spoke slowly as if it needed the detail to explain it to Gil and the others.
"He brought his apprentice" I spoke up explaining with glee as Uma held up the file.
"The Sorcerer's Intern"
"We just need to find out who he is and where, we'll never get the professor to talk but this is the weak link" Harry added triumphantly while I turned to Uma silently asking why we were trying to get the professor to talk but Harry answered me instead as he continued. "His apprentice is sure to know where he keeps that necklace" huh so that's why Uma was suddenly interested in the professor, it had to be about her mother's shell necklace as that would be the only necklace Uma would ever truly care about this much but how she found out it was on the Isle I still have no clue.
"She" Gil suddenly said studying the grainy, blurry picture of the professors intern.
"She?" Uma and I both asked confused and Gil nodded in excitement seemingly happy to be contributing to the planning.
"I know her she helps out Professor Sid in class, like a teacher's assistant, sort of quiet, a little mousy even, always sweeping, Sophie I think her name is" he explained further and my eyes widened a little.
"Great, let's see if we can threaten, bribe or intimidate, what do you suggest" Harry smirked gleefully again turning to Uma and me as we silently deliberated with each other, a skill Uma and I have always processed since we were kids.
"First things first" Uma spoke up turning away from me looking at Gil. "Gil invite her to the Fish and Chips Shoppe tonight, tell her we stumbled on a bit of magic and want to discuss it with her before alerting her boss"
"Discuss?" Harry asked innocently. "Is that the word for tying someone up and threatening them with my hook?" I rolled my eyes at him.
"Don't worry Harry, you'll have your fun" Uma smirked at him while I shook my head at her for encouraging him but we just might need it if this girl didn't talk since we were running out of time.
I decided to stay at the Chip Shoppe seeing as I really just didn't want to head home and deal with my mother who would no doubt yell at me for something I didn't do properly in my chores and hear her ridiculous threat off cutting off my head for the ten thousandth time.
"So your mother's necklace, what's it got to do with the trident?" I asked following Uma while she was balancing trays of dirty dishes taking them back towards the kitchen to be dipped in the water before being re-used while we waited for Gil to return with the Sorcerer's Intern.
"It has the ability to call the trident up from the sea, cook told me and that it was still on the Isle in pieces as well as that the Professor held the pieces" she explained but I frowned since like all magic artifacts they still needed magic to work and there was none of that around here.
"Sounds like a plan but wouldn't you need magic for the necklace to work"
"I haven't figured that part out yet but having that necklace is going to be a huge advantage" I nodded agreeing with her about that but only if she somehow managed to get the thing to work which I sincerely doubted.
"They're here" Harry suddenly whispered towards us and we looked up seeing Gil walk in with the Sorcerer's Intern on his arm, we nodded at Gil who immediately nodded back and signaled us over but Uma shook her head clearly wanting Gil to talk to her for a bit first before we got into the threatening and blackmailing.
Harry slunk away and Uma got back to work engaging in her favorite tasks of slamming down trays and yelling at patrons who dared not to tip before pointing to the sign that read 'TIP OR ELSE!' which hung by the exit making me laugh a little before I started chatting up some of the more drunken customers re-leaving them of whatever was in their pockets as I was in need of some financial help as I wanted a new jacket since the one I was wearing was near the end of its refurbished life and pickpocketing a few clueless pirates and wharf rats was a means to an end.
"I saw that" Harry smirked at me as I sat down next to him at the back table.
"Saw what?" I smirked back tossing him a rusted coin which I'd just pulled out of a coin purse I'd just knicked from an unsuspecting customer on their way out.
"Mm thank you" he sang after catching it.
"Are you gonna talk to her yet?" Gil suddenly asked appearing at the counter in which Harry, Uma and I were at, his tone sounding desperate making me snigger impressed that he'd lasted an hour.
"Why, are you out of conversation?" Uma asked him, a teasing smile on her face which Harry and I both shared.
"Almost, we've been sitting over there forever, I did what you said she thinks were on a date keeps asking me about my hobbies and whether I enjoy long walks on the beach, I've seen a lot of pictures of her cats" Gil groaned and I'd never heard him say anything not nice before but Harry and I were too busy laughing with each other to take pity on him. "I told her you two wanted to chat now" he added looking at Uma and me.
"Fine, Harry stay close in case we need you" Uma replied squaring her hat on her head as we walked over to the table where the girl in red robes was seated sipping bilge and snacking on a side of fried clams.
"Hi, Sophie?" I asked just to make sure.
"Hey Uma, Ilizabeth...these are great, what do you guys put on them?" she asked pointing at the plate of clams while wiping her mouth with a napkin and I snorted a little at the prissy maneuver, who did she think she was the queen.
"You don't want to know" Uma replied. "I mean cook has a fabulous recipe" she quickly added. "Did you guys have a nice dinner?" wow Uma was small talking, she really wanted this necklace.
"We did, I've never been here before" Sophie replied.
"Come back again" Uma smiled in a fake politeness. "On Fridays we have the weekend special" she added and I fought to keep the disgusted look off my face since I knew the weekend special was literally just everything that didn't sell over the week but I wasn't gonna say that.
"Okay I will, I don't really get to go out much" she smiled sincerely almost making me feel bad, she was a nice girl but on the Isle nice wasn't a good thing.
"The sorcerer keeps you busy?" Uma asked her.
"Yeah there's always papers to grade and research on his experiments but I have nights and weekends off, it's just a bit far from where we live" she replied honestly, this girl really was too trusting and that can get you hurt.
"I see, I heard you're not from here, like we are" I replied taking a seat across from her relaxing into it letting my legs stick out crossed at the ankles.
"Yeah I'm not, my family's from Eden actually" she replied and I raised an eyebrow in mild surprise. "We live in the middle of the forest"
"You miss it?" I asked her, small talk was seeming to ease her and it was probably best before we started in on her about the necklace.
"Sometimes, it's so green back home and so...well...not green here" she shrugged and I fought to keep the glare of my face at the clear gloat even if I doubt she meant it that way.
"You don't have to say" Uma replied looking at me briefly. "We know what the Isle is like" she added before whistling over to another server. "Bring us three pints of the best swill" she instructed.
"Oh wow" Sophie smiled.
"My pleasure" Uma fake smiled before looking over at Gil who was still standing conversing with Harry but both looked over when they sensed our gaze and I smirked seeing Sophie's eyes on Gil.
"Gil's handsome, isn't he?" I asked her and her eyes flicked to Gil again as he raised his bilge glass to her with his usual goofy smile.
"Yeah I guess, if you like brawny" she replied.
"Who doesn't" Uma smirked making me smile for the fact we were seriously girl talking right now.
"Belle I guess" Sophie giggled self-consciously making my smile widen into a small smirk in the corner of my lips. "Although she married a beast" she added.
"Sometimes guys aren't all that they appear though" I replied looking back over at Gil and Harry, the latter was watching us intently catching my eyes for a second before I looked away meeting Uma's eyes instead as she was looking at me a mischievous glint in her eyes which confused me for a second before I understood, it was time to get down to business and cut it with the girl talk.
"Anyway, you have a second?" Uma asked her and she nodded putting away her napkin.
"Gil said you had something magical for me" she said all girl talk forgotten, slipping into a professional persona.
"He did?" Uma asked looking confused as if she'd forgotten her idea on the reason Gil brought her here. "Oh right I do" she suddenly said covering her forgetfulness.
"You really have it?" she asked excitedly looking between us and I frowned confused now at what she actually thought we had but whatever it was had to be important given her enthusiasm.
"Yes we have it" I stated figuring it was the best answer.
"Oh thank wizards!" Sophie said smiling in relief. "I've been looking for it everywhere, where'd you find it?" she asked us and I paused turning to Uma before shrugging.
"Around" we both stated.
"I mean I can't believe the shop gave me a witch's hat back" Sophie grumbled.
"Right..." I drawled out with a small smile.
"I just took it there because the brim was fraying, I should have just fixed it myself I'm sure they sold the sorcerers hat to someone else" she went on and my eyes widened suddenly realizing she was talking about the actual sorcerers hat.
"The hat, you're looking for the sorcerers hat!" Uma exclaimed and Sophie suddenly dropped the friendly smile from her face.
"Yeah and you said you's had it" Sophie replied looking between us again.
"Pointy blue one, with all those stars and moons on it, what's so special about it?" Uma asked her.
"Nothing!" Sophie replied abruptly making me raise an eyebrow in her direction.
"Nothing?" I asked her suspiciously since the tone in her voice spoke otherwise.
"The professor doesn't like to be without it" she finally admitted after a few hard stares from me. "He's a little sensitive about his bald spot" she added and I sniggered a little at that.
"That can't be all it is" Uma argued raising an eyebrow at Sophie.
"Fine, whoever wears the hat is able to use his power, except there's no magic on the Isle thankfully" she replied and my glee turned hard as I glared at her a little. "But I still need to get it back, so out with it do you have it or not?" she asked us and my glare hardened even further at the tone of her voice.
"Of course we have it!" Uma exclaimed slamming her palm on the table. "And it can be yours, if-"
"What do you mean 'if'?" Sophie asked her.
"If you give me something in return" Uma replied with a wicked smile. "Can't get something for nothing you know, Ursula's rule and you on our turf now"
"What do you want for it?" she asked narrowing her eyes at us.
"Tell me where Yen Sid keeps my mother's necklace?" Uma asked her.
"You want Ursula's necklace?"
"Are you deaf?" I snapped at her impatiently.
"Yes I want her necklace, the seashell one!" Uma growled out.
"But its broken, what would you need it for?" Sophie asked inflating my temper even more.
"She doesn't need a reason, it was her mother's!" I snapped at her again leaning forward placing my hands on the table in front of her clenching them into fists.
"And I want it back" Uma added. "Sentimental value, shall we say"
"You sentimental, as if!" she scoffed and I stood up making my chair fall back but Uma held up her hand in front of me signaling me to stand down.
"It was my mothers, it's rightfully mine" Uma stated glaring at the entitled brat but Sophie deepened my fury by sticking her entitled nose in the air.
"Be that as it may it's the property of the kingdom now, it belongs in the museum" she replied taking on a superior tone. "The only reason it's still on the Isle is-"
"The embargo, I know" Uma replied cutting her off.
"I'm not telling either of you where it is" she stated and I glared heavily at her clenching my fists again, right hand reaching for the sword at my waist...oh how close she was to being beheaded.
"Fine then no hat" I snapped back instead.
"You don't have it" she scoffed and I growled out before looking up at Uma who motioned towards Harry for back up and he moved over swiftly from the shadows.
"Sophie you're surrounded, there are many of us and only one of you and you don't have any magic at your disposal, your gonna lose...we don't want to hurt you but we could" he stated smirking over at me with the last bit as my hand was still resting on the hilt of my sword.
"I'm not afraid" she replied trembling.
"You should be" I glared at her.
"Okay so if I tell you where the necklace is, you'll give me the sorcerers hat back?" she asked looking around at us all surrounding her.
"Precisely" Harry smiled and nonchalantly wiped his hook on the front of his shirt, in full view of Sophie the silver reflecting the light perfectly allowing her to see the sharpness.
"I can't tell you where it is" she replied and I growled out angrily. "I just can't"
"Why not, I'll give you whatever you desire" Uma argued clearly attempting a different tactic.
"How there's no magic on the island and last I checked you're not Ursula and I don't need to sell you my voice for a pair of legs" she snarked back.
"Not interested in princes, are you?" Uma asked her.
"Princes are boring, have you even met Chad Charming?" she asked us and I scoffed since of course we haven't, we were stuck on the Isle of the Lost.
"There are other things a girl might want, I don't need magic to help you" Uma argued. "Tell me, there's got to be something you need that you don't have, a way out of your internship, a better apartment down at the Knob, maybe another date with Gil...pirates over princes every time, am I right?" she asked nudging me with the last bit and I smiled a little but it quickly disappeared when Sophie shook her head.
Uma, Harry and I exchanged a look before we left the table since we weren't getting anywhere, Uma started to ostensibly serve other customers while Harry had no excuse but followed us anyway.
"She won't budge" Uma sighed dramatically.
"You're losing your touch" Harry cut in smirking towards us making me glare at him.
"Oh stuff it, you couldn't get her to spill either" I remarked but he just shrugged.
"The Uma and Ilizabeth I know could talk the hat off a wizard" he said making my glare intensify.
"If only we had the sorcerers hat, or if we could come up with something else she wants that I can give her" Uma argued.
"Or else?" Harry said holding up his hook with another wicked smile.
"If it comes down to that, yes but hold on-" Uma told him before she started walking back towards the table but I didn't since we had nothing to offer so why continue to bother, the brat wasn't gonna squeal.
"We're wasting precious time talking to this brat, I say we go with plan 'B'" I stated turning to Harry who turned to me, question glistening in his eyes before I reached down hooking my pointer finger around his hook lifting it up to eye level. "Let's make her talk" I smirked and his eyes lit up as we stared at each other, wickedness sparking between us, his dark ocean blue eyes staring deep into my light sky blue hues as I ran my finger along the edge of the cool metal stopping at the sharp tip.
"Gil!" Uma suddenly yelled snapping our eyes away from each other seeing her approaching him. "Do you have those hats you bought from the shop the other day?" she asked him and I frowned confused on where she was going with this now.
"I do!" Gil replied with a huge smile lighting up his face. "But you said they didn't look good on me"
"I don't need you to wear them, I need you to bring them back here" she argued and Gil raced off while Harry and I turned to each with with equal confused looks before Gil was quickly back with a big sack.
"This one?" Gil asked Uma showing her a white cowboy hat. "Or this one?" he held up a black top hat and I rolled my eyes not sure what this was getting us.
"No the pointy one" Uma snapped impatiently so Gil reached into the bag once more grabbing another hat and before he could say anything Uma snatched it out of his hands and my eyes widened scolding myself for not remembering it from the the day before and a smirk befell my lips as she strolled up to Sophie holding the pointy velvet hat aloft, Gil actually had the hat all along and we didn't realize. "Is this what you're looking for?" she asked the girl.
"Where on earth did you find it?!" Sophie exclaimed shocked and clearly happy to see the hat.
"Bought it at the hat shop of course" Uma replied dangling the hat with the tips of her fingers and walked dangerously close to the open fire in the middle of the room. "Now tell me where Yen Sid is hiding my mother's necklace or I'll throw it into the fire" she smirked and I watched triumphantly as Sophie's eyes widened before she spilled like a canary.
