It's been 5 days since the new Admiral had been assigned as the base is undergoing major repairs recently.
A brunette with an ID card which has the name Fubuki as she herself is 'Fubuki.' Fubuki is riding in the train, hoping that she'll move to a base that is less scarier than before.
"Fubuki…" Whispering out her name, Fubuki is holding out a photo of a group who're the Fubuki class destroyers.
As the train stops at her location, Fubuki along with the citizens are marching out of the train as Fubuki watches the bright blue sky.
The time is 07:30 and Fubuki is taking a taxi to a spot nearest to the Naval base.
Then it's 07:40 and Fubuki has made it to the building which will train her to become strong and learn more experience in sortie missions.
"Okay, here goes!"
Fubuki then enters a building and follows the map of where the Admiral is.
She finally made it to the office door but was surprised that some girls in this very base are cleaning up as well as replacing some furniture.
Clearing her throat as Fubuki opens the door and enters the office and salutes.
"Nice to meet you, Teitoku! I'm… Eh?" Halting her introduction, Fubuki can see something strange right in front of her.
"Ah. A new kanmusu. Kongou-san, what did I tell you about using the construction equipment without my permission?"
The Admiral, Louis Amano, is looking dead on the inside as a couple of warm soft pillows are pushing in between her face.
"Eh? A new team!? Hold on, Teitoku! It wasn't me this time! I was with you the whole time!" Kongou panicked as she's usually the one who gets the blame for using the construction to build a shipgirl and also making Inazuma lose her sanity for this.
But fortunately, the resources are still higher than before ever since both Yuudachi and Harusame joined the fleet.
With the results of 1-2 and 1-3 being succeeded, another shipgirl will make things even better.
"Anyway, Teitoku's teaching me some English recently, so move aside, you silver haired slut!" Kongou waves one of her arms as she's offering Kashima to leave.
"Ufufu, oh really? Then you should at least give Teitoku a rest and let me comfort her." Kashima went closer to the Admiral and pulled a smug at Kongou, just to make fun of her.
"NEVER! The only thing that makes Teitoku feel better like me is black tea! And we're having a British tea party together." Pulling out a half bottle of black tea as Kongou refuses to let go.
"Hm? I don't think Teitoku's up for tea today. Maybe I'll wake her up with some nice refreshing coffee." Kashima replied and held out a cup of coffee.
Kongou gasped and then swung her hand at a coffee that Kashima was holding out.
"Get that thing away, you filthy demon!"
"That's rich coming from someone who actually has a demon inside. Oh what's that? The Black Tea Demon."
While both a training cruiser and a fast battleship went closer and glaring at each other, Louis then pulled out a glock handgun and pulled the thing while setting this weapon to shoot.
"I swear if you two don't shut up, then one of you is getting a bullet!"
"Um… What's going on?" Fubuki asked.
When Fubuki was told by one of her sisters that Kongou was an amazing battleship, she thought Kongou would be more serious and elegant. Now her expectations have dropped.
"Hold on." Louis sighed and then pulled the trigger by shooting at the ceiling.
This gunfire had caused both Kongou and Kashima to instantly hop off and bow right in front of Louis.
"I'm sorry! We won't do it again!" Both shipgirls begged while speaking that fast at the same time.
"Good. Although, it's the first time that I've pulled something that isn't a toy." Louis too is freaked out by the noise that she made in this room. "Anyway, Kashima-san, I get that you wanted to stay with me, but shouldn't you start your training ground for kanmusus?"
"Eh? You're right. Forgive me, Teitoku." Kashima bows and then takes her leave.
"And as for you, Kongou, I have no plans until this base is all set! And will you stop flirting with me for once!?" Louis then gets a little harsher towards Kongou.
"Fine! You're no fun!" Kongou groaned and did the same as Kashima; leaving this office.
After the door closed, both Louis and Fubuki sighed as well as staying quiet.
"Ahem. So, you wanna continue introducing yourself?" Louis asked after clearing her throat.
"Ah, right! I'm the Fubuki class destroyer Fubuki! It's nice to meet you! Thanks for having me!" Fubuki went back to saluting after the fiasco she saw earlier.
Every shipgirls had always been formal to Louis when they first met a different Admiral. She knew it's very strange yet respectful of them to act as they are after being introduced to become humanoid weapons.
"Well, I guess you're new here. My guess is that you've been constructed." Louis asked while waiting for a new desk to arrive as well as doing something on the laptop.
"Um… Yes… I was constructed." Lied Fubuki.
"It can't be helped. I needed some expert who constructs kanmusus. But who..." Thinking as Louis has no shipgirl to work as an engineer.
"Ah! I know a kanmusu who constructs her own friends!"
"Really? Didn't expect you to know someone who can build."
"Excuse me! Not all constructed kanmusus are amnesiac!" Fubuki retorts.
"I know that! Just tell me who is she?" Louis has a curiosity about the shipgirl who also constructs herself.
"Ah, well, her name is Akashi and she's a repair ship. Basically, she's one of the engineers that worked at a Naval base." Fubuki explained.
After getting some details about Akashi, Louis closed her laptop and approached Fubuki around the table.
"Then I shall lead you to your room, Fubuki-san." Louis offered some assistance to take her to her room.
"Thanks, Teitoku, but I'll manage by myself." Fubuki bowed as well as declining that offer.
Finally, Fubuki left the office after being introduced and giving some information about Akashi.
Louis can finally take some time off as she wished to leave this base, but luckily for her, no one's here to boss her around except a few shipgirls.
She was willing to take a shipgirl to town with her, having a relaxation as well as searching for more shipgirls to her advantage.
Turning on the speaker as Louis is announcing to the whole base.
[This is Teitoku speaking, we're starting our day off until the next three days and we'll prepare our mission at 2000 hours. Thank you. Oh! And Inazuma, could you come over to Teitoku's office, please. Don't hurt me…]
"Wait? 2000 hours? Does that mean…" Sendai stopped as she heard about the announcement of a mission that takes place at 8PM in a few days. "HELL YEAH! NIGHT BATTLE!" Sendai cheers loudly while stopping herself from cleaning an old base.
"SHUT UP! We're cleaning together, you night battle idiot!" Ooi shouted while interrupting Sendai's celebration after cleaning up with Kitakami.
Later outside at 08:05, Both Louis and Inazuma appeared outside in their casual clothes as Louis wears a hooded jacket and jeans, Inazuma wears a sundress considering it's sunny outside near spring.
With Louis riding on her bicycle along with Inazuma who's holding behind her, both girls are heading towards a location where they can rest. As they ride all the way towards the top of the hill, Louis stops her bicycle at a location she left 5 days ago.
"Home. This is where I live." Louis says while showing her house to a shipgirl.
"Really? I've never really been to anyone's house before, nanodesu." Inazuma was surprised.
"You didn't?"
"No. The only person that went into another person's house was my friends who left the base, including my big sisters." Inazuma answered with a few more details.
"I see…" Louis sighed and glanced at a couple of schoolgirls who're waving at her whereas Louis uncomfortably waved back.
"Are you gonna see your family again, Teitoku?" Inazuma asked.
Louis shook her head by declining to come back to her house.
"Not today. Let's take the train to the city, even though I don't like cities, at least it'll be fun there." The Admiral then continues on cycling as they'll be able to reach towards the train station.
Tokyo
They finally reached the city of Tokyo, Shibuya, where there's many people strolling around at 08:35.
As the city is less crowded than before, both Louis and Inazuma are still feeling queasy about going through a horde of strangers.
"Now I get why you don't like cities, nanodesu." Said Inazuma.
"Yeah… Maybe there's a cafe nearby, let's stop over there."
While Louis drags Inazuma by the arm, the duo are finding their way towards the cafe as the easiest and less crowded place to go in.
Entering a place known as 'Shibuya Café,' both Louis and Inazuma takes their seat on a table.
Luckily, they can cool off in a place like this until their activity starts.
Inazuma is now showing her concern towards Louis, thinking about this: why is she chosen to go out with her?
"Teitoku. Why me?" Inazuma speaks out.
"Hm? What do you mean?"
"Why am I chosen? You know, to go outside with you?"
Inazuma had the right to ask the Admiral her question as Louis herself had a few reasons why.
"Well, there are a few reasons why I took you to Shibuya with me: because you've been stressing out on how much resources we've used and it's obvious that they can't last forever. Also you're the first kanmusu who doesn't berate me and saved my life from an abyssal on my first day. Also… I'm lonely." Hanging her head, Louis wished that she never opened up her honesty towards Inazuma, but at least she's the only kanmusu for Louis to talk to outside of base.
Inazuma had finally understood the struggle of being an Admiral that had been through some irrational hatred as well as being talked down on and ignored.
"Um… I can tell that everyone hated you when you first got here. Ever since we left the Yokosuka Naval Base, our old Teitoku has been acting very strange, but he's not related to the Teitoku that Mutsuki-san talked about!" Inazuma then fiddled with herself, struggling to have a flashback.
"Is it something to do with your history about you being torpedoed by USS Bonefish in May 1944? If so, then this Teitoku must be triggering your PTSD." Louis assumed.
"Well, partly, but he's getting very abusive towards those kanmusus as of late. He first got there when he ordered his kanmusu to kill the other old Teitoku who was very protective towards us. Whenever we commit suicide, the current old Teitoku is forcing us to be reconstructed and causing us an endless cycle of fear and suffering."
"I see… What's his identification?" Louis asked while picking up a pen to write on a mini notebook.
"Um, he looks like a yankee and was one of the higher ups."
"I see, a delinquent. And what about the other kanmusus, why are they acting against the new Teitoku outside of Yokosuka Naval Base?"
"Most of our friends had sunk back then." Inazuma answered.
"Eh?"
Louis stopped, and then remembered that they're just humanoid weapons that can be used to prevent the abyssal fleet from going on land. But it doesn't excuse the fact that why are their friends sunk and forced to be reconstructed.
"We were all scared, but some of us are over that. You saw it when you first got here… Kitakami-san was very suspicious towards a lot of Teitoku, Ooi-san was getting overprotective of Kitakami-san with burning hatred, Kongou-san had developed an alter ego which caused her addiction to black tea to go even higher, and Shigure-san refused to go back and was also filled with hatred." Inazuma continued while holding her tears.
"And your sister ships?" Louis asked another question.
"Ikazuchi-chan must be somewhere as she's living with someone, Hibiki-chan ran away to Russia after having a mental breakdown because of how many times we sunked and it's because of her PTSD which started after World War II. And Akatsuki-chan is missing. So I'm the only Akatsuki class destroyer that stayed in a different Naval base." Inazuma finally answered.
It's hard to believe, but what Louis needs is evidence.
So that means Louis is the latest Admiral who may or may not be trusted, knowing that her goal of scrapping them is turning out to be doing something right.
"Okay, now I get the picture, but I need proof that the other Teitoku did something unforgivable to you guys. And I thought I was the crazy person for trying to scrap you all." Louis is playing with her pen while looking bored. "But hear me out, Inazuma-san, once we win against the abyssal fleet, then I'll end you guys' suffering after paying a visit to this guy. Capiche?"
Inazuma then cheered up as well as trying her best not to cry. She thought of this Admiral as a strange girl who looked less intimidating and had a heart of gold inside. If that's true, then Inazuma is glad to hear that promise.
"Thank you, Teitoku! Thank you, nanodesu!" Inazuma is relieved with Louis' acceptance of helping them out.
"Ehh… you're welcome. But for now, we need to focus on finding more kanmusu, especially Akashi-san."
"Roger!"
Behind the cash register, a busty brunette, Mamiya is watching a fellow kanmusu and a young Admiral discussing what happened in the past and what reason for that much hostility that the young Admiral had faced.
"Oi, Mamiya-san, the boss needs you and he's not very pleased with you s-"
"MAMIYA-SAN! THERE ARE CUSTOMERS OUT THERE! DON'T SLACK OFF, YA HEAR!?" The boss of this cafe shouted by cutting off an employee who was in the middle of baking.
"Yes, sir!" Mamiya yelped and quickly saluted.
"QUIT YA SALUTING! THIS ISN'T THE ARMY!" The boss is still shouting.
"Sorry, boss! It's because I was formerly from the Navies!"
What Mamiya said is true. The boss had caught a glimpse again, knowing that Mamiya had been listening to a kanmusu and an Admiral. Then the boss continues shouting.
"THEN GO OUT THERE AND FOLLOW THESE TWO ONCE YOU'RE DONE ORDERING! YOU'RE A KANMUSU WHO RUNS A FOOD STORE, SO PROVE TO ME THAT YOU'RE NOT RUNNING AWAY!"
"YES, BOSS!" Mamiya too is shouting that loudly.
"THEN WHO ARE YOU!?"
"A KANMUSU, BOSS!"
"AND WHAT IS YOUR GOAL!?"
"TO HELP TEITOKU AND MY FELLOW KANMUSUS FROM BEING FATIGUED AND TO WIN AGAINST THE ABYSSAL FLEET, BOSS!"
"EXACTLY! NOW MOVE BACK TO WHERE YOU BELONG, PRONTO!"
"YES, BOSS! AND I QUIT!"
"GOOD! NOW GO!"
"YES, BOSS!"
While both Mamiya and her boss are yelling at each other, Mamiya then zooms out of the cafe and instantly heads towards the naval base where Louis worked at while screaming and laughing like a maniac.
"DON'T WORRY GIRLS! MAMIYA-SAN IS BACK IN BUSINESS! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"What just happened?" An employee's jaw had dropped after hearing a couple of banshees screaming at a cafe.
"Hmph, my work here is done. Good luck, Mamiya-san." The boss smiled and saluted a runaway cackling shipgirl who is a non combatant.
"But we've just lost one employee."
"Then take her place, Kamiya-san! YOU'RE ALSO A BAKER, SO DON'T SLACK OFF!"
"Yes, boss!" Kamiya dashed back to the bakery as the boss was going to get another one of his employees to take over Mamiya after she left.
Now Mamiya is one of them as Louis has no knowledge of hearing about a new shipgirl.
